At first, fans believed it was a possibility that the Super Bowl champion decided to change his appearance, but it was never confirmed until now what was actually going on behind the scenes.
Matthews spoke to TMZ on Sept. 9 and shared that it was a hilarious take on the"looksmaxxing" trend, but it's nothing but prosthetics. The former NFL star is partnering with Caesars Sportsbook for the look. He told the outlet he had to sit in a chair for four hours to complete the outrageous appearance. The betting app shared a video of Matthews sitting in the makeup chair, showing how they created the look.
The former NFL star shared in a press release that this was nothing like he's done before, but it was interesting to see it all come together.
