I rolled up to a high school football camp yesterday and I whispered into the universe… run the triple option.
People that know me know about my love/hate relationship with Aaron Sorkin. So… I'm stealing a ******* le that he's used for multiple episodes of his television shows; Talking Points. It just seems to be the theme right now as far as Notre Dame Football is concerned. The tropes and storylines are pretty much just rinse and repeat.
Notre Dame's New York media blitz was much more tame and controlled than I originally thought it would be, but that isn't a criticism. There are enough people talking about Notre Dame in a number of ways, that a lighter touch maybe cuts through the onside a little better — perhaps even highlights the main focus.
Regardless of all of that, Marcus Freeman continued to do the rounds
Calm down… we're not talking about politics here. This is about Notre Dame and Ohio State and their reach into the corporate world.

Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE:DELL) provides storage systems, servers, networking gear, and consulting services, as well as laptops, desktops, workstations, and accessories. On Tuesday's episode of Mad Money, Jim Cramer addressed some of the complaints his viewers made regarding Dell and other companies whose stocks experienced a massive rally. He stated:
Some of you have complained to me that I've kept you out of Sandisk, which is up 570% year-to-date, Micron up 240%, Seagate up 224%, Dell up 221%, and Western Digital up 218%. I don't know how that's possible. I've liked Micron for ages, and if you asked Michael Dell who's the most positive person in the media toward his amazing company, I bet he'd say Jim Cramer. So I'm not anti-tech, but I do like diversification. We've had some sickening days of late where all these stocks that I just mentioned got clobbered.
Cramer has been a strong proponent of Dell Technologies Inc.'s (NYSE:DELL) stock for a while now. In fact, Cramer showed regret around missing opportunities in the stock over several episodes of Mad Money. He repeated the sentiment during the July 1 episode, as he stated:
Oh, then there's two that I'm really embarrassed and even mortified to talk about: AMD and Dell. With AMD, the Trust had made a lot of money in this one, and we took the big profit, but I said, don't worry about it, I'll get right back in after another run. But the pullback never came, so I missed it.
Dell? I put Dell in the Trust bullpen, saying it should be bought on any dip, but it never dipped. This stock just exploded higher without me. I missed one of the greatest stories ever told, and I'm a four-decade supporter of Michael Dell. What do all these missed winners have in common? I was too skeptical. I was… too wary. I failed to consider where they could go and instead focused on where they had come from.

If behind-the-scenes dirt on the skeletons in people's closets is your thing, get ready for Season 2 of VICE TV's "Dark Side of the Cage."
VICE Studios on Thursday announced a new seven-episode season of the show with a premiere set for Sept. 1 at 9 p.m. ET on VICE TV. The season premiere episode features UFC Hall of Famer Don Frye, "whose willingness to absorb brutality in the cage led to the fight of his life against pain and addiction."
Of particular interest to many, most likely, later in the season will be an episode featuring longtime fighter Phil Baroni, who remains in prison in Mexico on a charge of murder. A teaser video for the season shows a clip of a phone interview with Baroni and him saying his lawyers won't be happy he did the interview.
"From house-fire heroism to SWAT stand-offs to full-blown arena riots, season two of Dark Side of the Cage pulls back the curtain on MMA's most extreme highs and devastating lows," the official show pitch says. "'Dark Side of the Cage' cuts through the glamour and glory of the MMA spectacle to reveal the never-before-told stories behind the sport's most iconic competitors, told by the fighters themselves."
Other episodes, according to VICE TV, will feature ****** o Ortiz, Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Chael Sonnen and Mark Coleman. Additionally, the season "will shed new light on one of the most heated feuds in UFC history: Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov."

Brandi Glanville has a bizarre definition of what "boring" means!
The reality star devised a rather intriguing way to criticize her kids' lack of passion for trying out some questionable substances like c-caine or alcohol, but this does not mean she is not proud of them for living healthily.
Brandi Glanville welcomed two sons with her ex Eddie Cibrian in 2003 and 2007, respectively, before they finally separated two years later in 2009 and have continued to co-parent their kids amicably.

During last Saturday's episode of her "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered" podcast, the reality star revealed that she previously had episodes of drug usage in her past life.

Morale couldn't be lower amongst those lucky enough to survive the layoffs at The Howard Stern Show, reveals a source.
As Globe previously reported, Howard Stern said goodbye to roughly a dozen employees in the wake of plans to cut his Sirius XM radio down from two new episodes a week to just one.
"He feels badly for these people. He's not heartless and he says he did everything in his power to save as many jobs as he could," says the source. "But the fact is he needs to scale back. He's 72 years old now and wants to enjoy this stage of his life more and that means working less."
The legendary shock jock is "enjoying his summer break in the lap of luxury surrounded by other mega-rich people," the source notes. "The contrast couldn't be any more depressing for the people who are out of a job and wondering how they're going to support their families and here he is, living like a lord."

For any of you who've listened to our On This Week or Roker Rewind episodes of the podcast, you'll know just how much we believe the history of the club matters. There have been so many people who've contributed to the story of Sunderland ***** ociation Football Club, and the ones that have played a positive role deserve to be acknowledged and remembered.
For a long time, however, the club's often seemed a bit reluctant to outwardly celebrate our past too much.
While there was an attempt to acknowledge the achievements of yesterday when the Stadium Of Light opened, when bars were named after former greats – followed by the installation of the Stokoe statue a few years later – we've seemed pretty reluctant to outwardly celebrate the club's history.
Of course, there are reasons for that. For a few years, the club was rightly more concerned with keeping the lights on rather than shining a light on things that had happened decades ago, but now the club's in a more healthy position, we've seen the past being embraced – and rightly so.
How much this had to do with David Bruce is impossible to know for sure, it's a credible ***** umption that quite a lot was sparked by him. His departure was a shame from that perspective – that knowledge and connection at boardroom level is vital – and we hope that connection doesn't disappear now he's at Sheffield Wednesday.

The pardon of Folarin Balogun's expulsion ahead of the United States vs. Belgium Round of 16 match was one of the episodes that caused the biggest impact during the 2016 World Cup. And today, more information is being revealed about the controversial decision.
According to a report by The Times, the decision was made by Mohammad Al-Kamali, president of FIFA's disciplinary commission, from the United Arab Emirates.
But the scandal continues, as the same source claims that his decision did not go through the Committee, since he made it without the other seventeen members of the commission taking part in the matter.
"Mohammad Al-Kamali, president of FIFA's disciplinary commission, made the controversial decision to overturn the suspension of U.S. forward Folarin Balogun without the other seventeen members of the commission taking part in the matter," The Times reports.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has "concrete evidence" linking leaders of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to recent war crimes in the Sudanese region of Darfur, the ICC's deputy chief prosecutor says.
Nazhat Shameem Khan told the BBC the ICC had reached a "breakthrough" in its investigation into the massacres of civilians in the cities of el-Fasher and el-Geneina.
"It may take time for justice to develop, to be brought to the court, but we will get there," Khan said, adding that RSF leaders have also been linked to crimes against humanity.
The siege and takeover of el-Fasher marked one of the bloodiest episodes in the ongoing war between the RSF and Sudan's army.
More than 6,000 people were killed in el-Fasher as the RSF seized the city in October last year, the United Nations says, while the paramilitary group is accused of carrying out a similar massacre in el-Geneina.

Four years after reaching the semi-finals of a World Cup for the first time Morocco are setting sail for North America with ambitions high and a squad with even better pedigree than that of the one in Qatar.
Sometimes history does repeat itself and Morocco will hope that is the case this time. Just as in 2022 the head coach has been sacked and a new sheriff is in town. In March Mohamed Ouahbi, who won the Under-20 World Cup with Morocco last year, replaced Walid Regragui.
The switch means The Atlas Lions will not have much time to get used to the coach's tactics and philosophy. In late March Morocco drew against Ecuador (1-1) and beat Paraguay (2-1), showing some signs of improvement compared to the fare that had been on offer under Regragui. Ouahbi prefers a clear 4-2-3-1 formation that morphs into a 4-2-2-2 to create a motorway lane of **** e in front of the captain, Achraf Hakimi, on the right flank.
The biggest challenge for this Moroccan team will be to live up to the expectations. In 2022 they made a deep run when **** ody thought they would do so. In 2026 the team is among the top 10 best ranked sides in the world. The pressure will be constant. "I am aware of the expectations, but very honoured," Ouahbi said at his unveiling. "I am committed to working with seriousness, humility and determination and also a lot of patriotism to continue on the path of progression of this team", he added.
Mentally this team has already broken a couple of glass ceilings (the aforementioned semi-final, the arrival in the top 10 of the Fifa rankings) but in January Morocco experienced one of the most bizarre episodes of its football history. During the final, the Senegal players left the pitch in protest to a penalty awarded to Morocco. After a long delay Brahim Diaz missed his Panenka spot kick and Senegal went on to win the match 1-0. Two months later, however, the Confederation of African Football, Caf, awarded the **** le to Morocco.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce follows a life-changing moment over the weekend with a reminder that he's still one of the league's best players. The selection to the "NFL Top 100" program was again warranted given his unparalleled success at his position.
Chiefs fans are proud to continue witnessing Kelce play in the league and being ranked No. 79 on this year's list. The veteran tight end put an end to retirement rumors during the offseason after signing a new contract to stay in Kansas City. He continues to be a feared offensive option for Patrick Mahomes and a trusted locker-room leader.
Kelce finished last season with 78 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns, earning his 11th Pro Bowl selection. He was also nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award at NFL Honors. Kelce enters 2026 third all-time behind Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten, and 2,126 yards behind Gonzalez for the most by a tight end in league history, with only 45 yards behind Witten in second place.

The canal mania of the 1830s. The British railway bubble of the 1840s. The dot-com crash of 2000. Each began with a genuine technological breakthrough that attracted more capital than commercial returns could ultimately justify. Each ended in a recession.
The Bank for International Settlements — the Basel-based institution that coordinates the world's central banks and serves as the global financial system's most authoritative watchdog — sees the $1 trillion AI investment boom in the same lineage. And it's not subtle about the comparison.
"The scale and pace of the current AI investment boom, accompanied by expectations of large productivity payoffs, bear resemblance to these precedents," the BIS writes in its Annual Economic Report 2026, released Sunday. "These episodes ended with an eventual reversal in investment, inducing economy-wide recessions."
The five largest hyperscalers are on pace to spend more than $1 trillion on AI-related capital expenditure across 2025 and 2026 combined — a sum the BIS says is already outpacing their earnings and free cash flow, forcing some to issue debt to cover the gap.
The BIS's concern isn't that AI is a fraud. The technology is real, and the report acknowledges that task-level studies consistently show productivity gains of 20% to 50% in time savings. But the concern is that every major hyperscaler is making the same massive bet simultaneously, driven by the perception that only a handful of players will ultimately dominate the market. That logic, the BIS warns, is a recipe for collective overcommitment.

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting ******* e.

It'll be a surprise! And Marcus Semien was placed on the IL with a hip flexor strain after an historically bad day in the field. Nothing is going right in this organization right now.
Next, we cover the latest in the CBA negotiations, as the MLBPA wants a ban on individual prop bets to help protect them from online harassment.
Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what's making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Home Run Applesauce podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show. It really helps! The Washington Commanders begin training camp on July 24, with the rookie class scheduled to report, followed by the rest of the team on July 28. That means, in one month, quarterback Jayden Daniels is back on the practice field.
But Washington fans can see Daniels two weeks before the Commanders open training camp. Netflix premiered the trailer for its highly acclaimed series, "Quarterback," on Wednesday, which stars Daniels, Baker Mayfield, Joe Flacco and Cam Ward.
Season 3 of "Quarterback" premieres on July 14 and follows each of the four quarterbacks throughout the 2025 season. Last season was a difficult one for Daniels, as he dealt with three separate injuries, which forced him to miss 10 games. This came one season after his record-breaking rookie season, when he led the Commanders to a 12-5 record and their first NFC Championship Game appearance in 33 years.
In the trailer, Daniels talks of realizing his dream of playing in the NFL, showing his handmade sign in his bedroom that said, "I will play in the NFL." The 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year then talked about how he was proud of his 2024 accomplishments, but the only thing that matters is winning the Super Bowl.
Season 3 of "Quarterback" is eight episodes long and produced by Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes' company 2PM Productions, joins Omaha Productions and NFL Films in producing the show for Netflix.
