With the news that Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Landon ******* erson was being placed on IR with a knee injury, ******* erson himself seemed fine with the development — especially since, in the guard's view, he had no business being on the field in Week 1.
In an interview on Philadelphia's 94 WIP radio, which took place very shortly after the IR news landed, ******* erson offered a blunt ******* sment of his play in the Eagles' narrow 24-22 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
"Honestly, (to) address the elephant in the room, I played like sh** yesterday," ******* erson said. "I was a complete liability yesterday and, again, that was my fault … I shouldn't be out there until I feel healthy."
Dickerson said that he got "rolled up on" in practice last month during training camp, but continued to push through the injury. Imaging on Monday confirmed that he had a bone bruise in his right knee.
Dickerson found out that he was being placed on IR while live on air: After being read a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McClane, who was the first to report the news, the Eagles' starting left guard admitted to WIP that he hadn't been officially told, but that he knew it "was kind of the plan."

LAS VEGAS – Terence Crawford has consistently denied the possibility of a return to the ring, but Dana White appears confident that if anyone could convince the boxing great to come back, he could.
Crawford (42-0) hung up his gloves after defeating Canelo Alvarez last year. The 38-year-old retired after the biggest win of his career as an undisputed champion, prompting repeated questions about whether "Bud" would return to action.
White is moving full steam ahead with Zuffa Boxing, which means he's seeking out the biggest possible matchups available in boxing. The UFC CEO is confident he knows what it would take for Crawford to come out of retirement.
"There is always a number," White said during a post-fight news conference after Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn. "I think for a guy like Crawford, and a couple of my guys here are very close to him – I think for a guy like Crawford, it's more than just a number, it's the right fight.
"It's a fight that interests him and challenges him and makes him want to get back into camp and leave his family. I talked to him yesterday too, and he's having a blast with his kids and doing what we all wish we could do."

The Eagles will place left guard Landon ***** erson on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Dickerson appeared on WIP's "Players Lounge Show" as news hit that he was headed to IR with what he described as a bone bruise in his right knee.
He said he "played like ***** " in the Eagles' 24-22 win over the Commanders on Sunday.
"I was a complete liability yesterday," ***** erson said, via Alexis Chassen of bleedinggreennation.com. "Again, that was my fault. I know I said earlier in camp I shouldn't be out there until I feel healthy. A few weeks ago, [I] got rolled up on in practice. I thought as weeks went by it would get better. It didn't, and we kind of went out there and finally got some imaging on it today, figured out what was wrong with it.
"Really the best plan going forward is to put me on IR, so I can get this thing better to have a good stretch at the back end of the season versus kind of what happened last year, go out there limping through 18 weeks. I don't think anyone wants to see that again because that was just ugly. I don't want to do that again, because that was just some BS."

Jose Delgado will be back.
The rising Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight prospect suffered a third-round submission loss to top Brazilian contender Jean Silva in the main event of Noche UFC 4 this past weekend (Sat., Sept. 12, 2026) inside Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona (watch highlights).
Delgado accepted the biggest opportunity of his career on approximately three weeks' notice, replacing former interim Featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez and headlining a UFC event in front of his hometown crowd.
After taking a day to gather his thoughts, Delgado released a statement addressing the first main event loss of his UFC career.
"Well, ***** , so it goes," Delgado wrote on Instagram. "Dared to be great yesterday and came up short. But man, I loved every second of being on that stage with high-level opposition; that includes the heartbreaking pain of failure. Pure freedom. Insert something cliche about bouncing back here. Thank you to God for His guidance and my village for backing me. Also, thanks to everyone in that arena for making that walk what it was. Love y'all."

Wide receiver Hollywood Brown was active for Sunday's game, but the veteran never got on the field during the Eagles' 24-22 win over the Commanders.
DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks started for the Eagles with first-round pick Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper also seeing time on offense. At a Monday press conference, head coach Nick Sirianni was asked about how Brown fits into the team's plans.
"So, with yesterday, you know, we have our rotations that we're doing, you know, Hollywood could obviously help us," Sirianni said, via Brooks Kubena of TheAthletic.com. "We obviously want to get him into the football game because his speed is real. It just didn't work out that way yesterday. There are games like that. There are games where you get shut out on catches. Unfortunately, there are games, they get shut out on reps. But we know that Hollywood can help us win football games, and his speed is real, and, quite frankly, just from my end, we want to get him into the football game, right? And so, you know, we'll make a better effort to do that next time, 'cause I know the playmaking ability that he can bring with his speed. But was pleased with how the wideouts played as a whole. Of course, there were things that you want back. They made a lot of plays down the field — and with different things with their job description. But, you know, I do want to see him in that football game and getting reps and contributing to this football team."
The Eagles' offense looked like a work in progress for considerable portions of Sunday's game, which was their first with offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Quarterback Jalen Hurts engineered enough big plays to overcome the rough spots and we'll see if Brown fits into the Week 2 plan to create more of them.

Dodgers news: Kris Bubic joining LA as playoffs draw near, but there's a catch appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired left-handed pitcher Kris Bubic before the 2026 MLB trade deadline. The former All-Star has yet to make has Dodgers debut. Bubic has been recovering from elbow and shoulder injury concerns. According to Maddie Lee of the Los Angeles Times, Bubic is going to join the Dodgers on Monday. However, he is not being activated from the injured list yet.
"Kris Bubic is set to join the Dodgers in Cincinnati, per sources. But because he made a rehab appearance yesterday, he isn't expected to be activated right away," Lee reported.
The fact that he is joining the team is encouraging. It seems as if he could be activated fairly soon, even if the move doesn't happen Monday.

The way I'd frame the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 1 win over the Washington Commanders? I'd say it's a performance to build on.
The offense as a collective clearly needs to be better. They only managed 10 first downs on Sunday … the fewest of any team in the league so far.
Maybe Sean Mannion's group can get it going against the Tennessee ****** ans? The Eagles are entering Week 2 as seven-point road favorites, according to FanDuel.
This after the ****** ans, now coached by Robert Saleh, lost to the New York Jets by a final score of 23 to 10. Geno Smith completed 19 of 24 attempts for 215 yards and a 104 passer rating. The Jets' top two running backs combined for 142 rushing yards and one touchdown on 32 carries (4.4 average).
Until we actually see the Eagles prove they can block better, it might be hard to fully believe it. But you have to feel good about Jalen Hurts' ability to make plays for this team after watching what he did against the Commanders. You also have to like Vic Fangio's chances of being able to stifle the ****** ans' offense, which managed a mere 195 yards yesterday. That's 123 fewer yards than the Eagles managed to muster in Week 1.

Jose Delgado has no regrets after a valiant effort against Jean Silva at UFC Fight Night 288.
Delgado (12-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) dropped Silva (18-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC) in Round 1 of their Noche UFC main event this past Saturday at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Ariz., but Silva rallied to submit him in Round 3.
Delgado, who took the opportunity on short notice after Silva's original opponent Yair Rodriguez withdrew, took to Instagram to speak on the loss.

1547 ET – U.S. natural gas futures end the week lower as the market enters the shoulder season where summer cooling demand tapers off before early-season heating demand starts to kick in. Last week’s 40 Bcf storage injection was bigger than expected, but smaller than average, leaving inventories 148 Bcf above the five-year average. “Elevated production and falling power demand point to larger injections ahead, leaving firm LNG demand as the main counterweight to the seasonal loosening,” Gelber & ***** ociates says in a note. Nymex front-month gas settles down 0.1% at $2.831/mmBtu for a 4.8% loss on the week.(anthony.harrupwsj.com)
0951 ET – U.S. natural gas futures are giving back yesterday’s small gains and on track for weekly losses as summer ends and cooling demand is set to ease into the autumn. Futures “remain in a sell-the-strength type trade,” Dennis Kissler of BOK Financial says in a note. “While the fundamentals still favor the bears, the market seems to be well supported near the $2.75-$2.70 area.” Nymex natural gas for October delivery is off 0.7% at $2.813/mmBtu.(anthony.harrupwsj.com)

LONDON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Intelligence services must not dwell too much on past threats but accept that a new strategic shock along the lines of ‌the 9/11 attacks could already be in preparation where they are not looking, ‌the head of Britain's MI5 spy agency said.
In an opinion piece published on Friday to mark 25 years since al Qaeda militants crashed hijacked passenger jets into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon, MI5's Director General Ken McCallum said security agencies had to be ready to adapt to current and future challenges.
"We know that the next strategic shock will, by definition, not ‌resemble the last one. That is perhaps the most important lesson of all," McCallum wrote in the commentary for the Independent newspaper.
"We must of course always learn from the last attack – but must beware of preparing brilliantly to fight yesterday's enemy, using yesterday's methods, against yesterday's target ... The uncomfortable truth is that the next strategic shock may already be taking shape somewhere we are not yet looking."
Al Qaeda, though diminished, remains a threat, as does the aspiration ‌of that group and other militants for mass casualty attacks, McCallum said.

Today, of course, is the anniversary of an event that means so much more than baseball. Twenty-five years ago, the September 11th attacks rocked the US, especially in New York. There are commemorations of all sort taking place around the country today. While the tragedy of that day in 2001 means more than baseball, in New York, the two baseball teams will honor the day in their own way: playing baseball. Starting tonight, the Subway Series is back for a weekend set, beginning on the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
To go to the baseball for a minute, Carlos Rodón will get the start for the Yankees in this one. For the season, Rodón's numbers are generally pretty good, but his habit of taking a little too long to put away batters tends to prevent him from going long. While the Yankees didn't have to use too many crucial arms, the bullpen did have to pitch a decent amount of innings yesterday, so they could use a good day from Rodón.
As for the rest of the lineup, Aaron Judge is back after getting last night off, while Anthony Volpe is at second again after his five RBI performance.
For the Mets, Nolan McLean will take the mound. He's been really good for them, posting a 3.06 ERA in 161.2 innings. Across his last dozen starts, the rookie has been even better, with an even lower ERA of 1.87.
Here's everything to know on how to catch tonight's action, and we hope you'll come join us in the game thread.

The lineups are out for tonight's series-opening showdown between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies. There's no major shakeup but there is a return to the lineup for one familiar face after he started Thursday's contest on the bench.
Ozzie Albies is back in the starting lineup for the Braves. Here's how the rest of Atlanta's lineup is looking:
Sale takes the mound tonight at TruistPark 💪 pic.twitter.com/sZRngGjbvQ
Ozzie has hit .249/.304/.411 so far this season with a wOBA of .311 and a wRC+ of 95. His big triple against the Rays on Thursday helped push Atlanta past Tampa Bay and gave them what could amount to being a very crucial win if all continues to go well for the Braves as far as this particular series is concerned.
Outside of that, there are no major changes from yesterday and in fact, this is the same group of nine batters that squared off against Aaron Nola last week. The bottom of the order is slightly different but the players remain the same. For what it's worth, Ronald Acuña Jr. has an OPS of 1.076 against Nola in 56 pat-bats. Austin Riley has done a similar level of damage as well with an OPS of 1.111 over 62 ABs. Mike Yastrzemski and Drake Baldwin have both been successful as well (1.046 and 1.056 OPS, respectively) against Nola but they both have much smaller sample sizes (16 and 8 ABs, respectively) to go with. Let's see if that turns into a factor during tonight's contest.

Cesc Fabregas has been left seriously impressed by Barcelona's current level under Hansi Flick, describing the Blaugrana's performances as "frightening" ahead of their eventual Champions League meeting with his Como side.
Fabregas, who came through Barcelona's academy and later played for the first team, watched Barça's recent European victory over Feyenoord and highlighted their ability to escape almost any tactical problem thrown at them.
The Como manager was speaking after his own team made an emphatic start to their Champions League campaign, beating Leipzig 4–1 in a statement result on their European debut.
Barcelona's ability to find answers regardless of the opposition's approach stood out most to Fabregas.
"I watched Barça's match yesterday and I can tell you that Feyenoord are a very good side, but the thing is, Barça make you look bad because they find a way out of every situation at all times.

As the newest member of the Minnesota Timberwolves, young swingman Jonathan ******* inga couldn't be more excited about his basketball future. After a difficult parting with the Warriors, ******* inga had some tough decisions to make this summer, but he would say it worked out for the best with a two-year, $12.4 million deal to join Anthony Edwards and his rising young team.
Thursday evening marked ******* inga's introductory press conference with the organization, where he answered all sorts of questions relating to his free-agent process and expectations for the future. Notably, he also spoke about teaming up with LaMelo Ball, someone he called his best passing teammate ever (yes, even over Curry).
"I think his ability to pass the ball, I was watching him work out yesterday and I was watching him and the way he can pass the ball, it's incredible," said ******* inga. "I've played with so many point guards in my career, but I've never played with anybody that can pass as good as LaMelo. I'm looking forward to it; I'm excited."
In ******* inga's defense, Ball is famously skilled offensively with career averages of 20.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 7.3 ******* ists, 1.4 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game on 41.8% shooting. While he often likes to get flashy with the ball, he's undeniably elite as a playmaker and passer, opening up the floor for teammates and adding a layer of flexibility to the rotation.
To claim that Ball is a better passer than Curry might sound like blasphemy, but the stats back it up. Curry averages 24.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.3 ******* ists, 1.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game for his career, falling short of even Ball's passing numbers. More so than LaMelo, Curry is much more of a scorer, and he's always had teammates to help him run the offense.

We are only two days removed from Kentucky Football hosting the Alabama Crimson Tide as Will Stein tries to make some major noise in only his second game as head coach. The BBN is rocking, and many are believing an upset could happen at Kroger Field on Saturday. That will take a healthy roster, and fortunately for the Cats, it looks like they will have that.
When the first injury report dropped Wednesday, Kentucky got great news, as four major pieces of this team did not appear on the report: Jovante Barnes, Teryhon Nichols, Hasaan Sykes, and Malachi Wood. That means we should see them take the field for the Cats on Saturday.
Several reserves still appear on the report that weren't expected to play much, including backup offensive lineman Jay Clark, who has already been ruled out.
For the Crimson Tide, if you missed it yesterday, they will be without wideout Noah Rogers. Starting offensive lineman Michael Carroll also remains doubtful. This would be a major blow for the Tide's o-line in their first road game.
Not much movement tonight. Now, we wait until Friday to see if we get any surprise names.

Beyond winning, Jonathan ******* inga is simply excited to start a new chapter with the Minnesota Timberwolves because of LaMelo Ball. The new Wolves forward has nothing but positive words to say about Ball, even claiming that the star guard's passing ability is superior to any floor general he played with in his young career. New York Fashion Week is here again! From September 10 through September 15, the city's biggest designers will unveil their Spring/Summer 2027 collections, and the action-packed week will be followed, as per tradition, by shows taking place in London, Milan, and Paris.
Over the past few years, some designers have chosen to start the festivities a bit early, and the same was true this season, with houses like Ralph Lauren, Cult Gaia, and Rachel Comey all showing their collections ahead of the official CFDA calendar.
And while the schedule may be stretching, so is the map of show locations. This year, presentations will take fashion fans across the greater NYC metropolitan area, with Collina Strada hosting its show at Storm King Art Center in New Windsor, New York, while threeASFOUR will present its show at the Mana Contemporary center in Jersey City.
This year also features a few exciting debuts, like Connor Ives, who is showing in his home country for the first time ever, in a switch from his usual slot during London Fashion Week. Yesterday also saw Henry Zankov present his debut collection for Diane von Furstenberg, where he took over as artistic director this past May.

Yesterday's umpire scorecard was pretty much what you would have expected from watching the game. He was terrible.
I don't think managers can stress the importance of saving challenges for later in the game enough. Of course, you never know, that first inning might be the pivotal moment of the ball game. But, perhaps the manager could suggest to the catches that, especially early, don't challenge unless it is a very obvious missed call, on say a ball four call, if the bases are already loaded. Say a pitch right down the middle called a ball. Any pitch towards the edge of zone, suck it up.
Anyway, here it is. I don't know what the level of ******* piness should lead to an umpire being fired immediately after a game should be, but this is, at very least close.
The umpire was that bad and yet the teams were only 1 for 4 on challenges.
The problem with being that bad is that you are likely to be ummmm more bad towards one team and that was us last night.

Timely enough off the heels of the Labor Day holiday yesterday, the NHL's new collective bargaining agreement, the labor rules agreed to by the NHL and the NHLPA, kicks in next week. The new agreement is in place through September 2030, marking the second time in a row the two sides have put a deal in place without missing any time. That's no small matter, prior to the recent labor peace the NHL owners have locked out the players in 2004 and 2012 for significant periods that cost a total of 116 games.
These days, fortunately for all, there is more cooperation and perhaps about the best working relationship between the owners and players that we have seen in hockey. Those good feelings are no doubt influenced by business as a whole booming – revenue is way up so their is more money to be made by both sides. Further, ownership is absolutely swimming in vastly increased valuation and sale prices lately – look no further than the Penguins selling for $1.75 billion in 2026 after selling for $900 million just five years earlier.
The new CBA had some rules come on board early for last season – like LTIR tweaks and the playoff salary cap. Here are a few more interesting tweaks in place.
Training camps open Sept. 16 to coincide with the start of that new labor deal, and they'll look much different than they did in the past. Experienced players will be put through only a 13-day camp, down from 20 days, and those with at least 100 NHL games on their resumes are now limited to two exhibition games. Each team will play only four exhibition games.
The preseason shrinks again, at least formally. Most players across the league are already skating informally with their teammates and have been for a week or more by this point. That amount of time in the pre-practice stage will now be longer than the formal, official 13-day training camp. Long gone are the days of multiple on-ice sessions per day. In fact, teams can also no longer implement fitness testing for unpopular tests on the exercise bike or the so-called dreaded bag skate or repetitive timed sprints.

It is September again and, like thousands of pupils across the UK, the Prince and Princess of Wales's three children are returning to school.
Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight, are now in Year 7 and Year 4 respectively at Lambrook School in Berkshire, a short drive from their Windsor home.
However, the biggest change this autumn comes for 13-year-old Prince George, who is starting at Eton College, following in the footsteps of his father and his uncle, Prince Harry.

After a quick turnaround following the weekend's Premier League draw at Brighton & Hove Albion, attentions now turn to the trip to Chelsea for Wednesday's EFL Cup Round Three tie for Daniel Farke's side.
The manager spoke to the press ahead of the visit to Stamford Bridge and hopes to have a strong squad at his disposal as the Whites look to progress in the competition.
When asked if there was any major updates to his players' availability, the boss explained: "Joe Rodon, obviously long-term injury out.
"Little question mark behind Daniel James. He reported during the warm-up at Brighton some issues with his back and also with his hamstring.
"Scan results were good so it seems like no new injury. He just had an individual session yesterday. It was okay.

The Brazilian winger is one of Manchester City's more intriguing signings for some time. Allan has taken a different route to earn his move to City. He rose through the ranks at Palmeiras before establishing himself on the right wing for Abel Ferreira's side. It was hoped that Allan would be in the City squad for last Saturday's match against Coventry City. But that wasn't to be. Instead, he could be in line to make his City debut against FC Porto tonight.
It was a surprise that Allan didn't make the bench for Manchester City's win over Coventry City last Saturday. However, it was reported by Enzo Krieger for CityXtra that Allan wasn't deemed fit enough to play at the Etihad. However, that situation has quickly changed. Allan has been included in Manchester City's travelling squad for tonight's match against FC Porto at the Estádio do Dragão. Also, he did train with his teammates yesterday. At this stage, it would be a major surprise if Allan wasn't at least on the bench for the opening fixture of Manchester City's 2026-27 UEFA Champions League campaign.
There would seem to be little chance that Allan would start tonight against FC Porto. He hasn't been at Manchester City for long and the Brazilian winger also wasn't fit enough to make the bench against Coventry City. Stranger things have happened but it would be unlikely that Allan will start tonight.
However, there is a chance that Allan could come off the bench tonight. Perhaps being an impact substitute may be the best way for Maresca to introduce Allan to the fold. The Brazilian winger is a quick winger blessed with quality dribbling skills and the ability to work hard on both sides of the ball. Maybe that is how Allan will make his City debut and tonight may be the right setting for Allan to play a small role for Enzo Maresca's side depending on how tonight's match unfolds.
Allan was included in Manchester City's travelling sqaud for tonight's match against FC Porto. So there is a chance that one of the more intriguing signings that City have made could get on the pitch for the first time as a Manchester City player. Whether or not it occurs remains to be seen but Allan's City debut is edging ever closer.

Even though AVGO is facing increased competition in Google's TPU programs, it is also gaining ground with customers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. This makes Nvidia's recent move look more like insurance rather than opportunism.
In response to the acquisition, Needham ******* yst Rajvindra Gill reiterated a Buy rating on Nvidia on September 4, ******* igning a $300.00 price target.
