A weight loss company called Start Willow is facing backlash after telling Love Island USA contestant Melanie Moreno they could help her lose weight.
The brand posted an image stating: "Melanie, you may not be able to drop that man, but we can help you drop 10-15lbs in 4 weeks. Call us, Start Willow."
Melanie appeared on season 8 of the dating show, entering the house the first day and coming third with her partner, Sincere Rhea.
Fans have called the marketing "disgusting," and whoever came up with the idea should lose their job. In response, Melanie posted a photo of herself to Instagram Stories eating pepperoni pizza.
"I get it's their brand but who in their right mind thought targeting a public figure to have weight loss would be good.. it's extremely gross," wrote a social media user.

Eagle Capital Management, an investment management company, released its second quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, Eagle Capital Management discussed how enthusiasm around AI capital spending has driven strong S&P 500 earnings growth while also increasing risks from elevated valuations, concentrated demand, and aggressive investment **** umptions. Eagle remains a strong believer in AI but prefers constructing a portfolio that can perform across multiple outcomes rather than relying on one forecast. The firm believes current earnings can overstate underlying economics because semiconductor equipment is depreciated over several years, while free cash flow growth remains much weaker. It also expects competition and additional capacity across AI labs, hyperscalers, and semiconductors to eventually create winners and losers. These dynamics are encouraging Eagle to recycle capital toward attractive opportunities outside the most crowded AI trades while maintaining selective exposure to high quality beneficiaries. The portfolio trades at a 20% market discount with faster expected EPS growth. Please review the Strategy's top five holdings for key selections.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Eagle Capital Management highlighted ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP). ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) explores for, produces, transports, and markets crude oil, bitumen, natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and natural gas liquids. On August 18, 2026, ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) closed at $129.72 per share. The one-month return of ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) was 9.20% and its shares gained 36.71% over the past 52 weeks. ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) has a market capitalization of $155.84 billion.
Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"The energy & metals companies we own benefit from favorable multiyear supply/demand outlooks, management teams that are good capital allocators, and **** et bases that are well-positioned on the global cost curve.
ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP), the largest U.S. pure-play upstream oil producer, has low-cost, long-lived inventory that we believe is underappreciated relative to peers. In the coming years, its free cash flow should inflect higher as the Willow project in Alaska comes online and transitions from a cash drag to a cash generator. We see the oil market as reasonably balanced, but risks may skew to the upside over the next couple of years as the world manages shortages from the Strait of Hormuz, and the path to its full and enduring reopening remains murky. We expect EPS growth in the mid-teens over the next several years."

BENGALURU: Rahul Dravid, once a hockey midfielder, famously put away the stick and stuck to weaving magic with the willow. Almost four decades later, with a stick in hand, he can still trap a ball with precision and position a pass well too. The former India captain and coach, who played in the same school team– St. Joseph's Boys High School– as former international hockey players Anil Aldrin and Sandeep Somesh, counts hockey as one of his favourite sports. Speaking at the opening of the inter-college hockey tournament commemorating the platinum jubilee of his alma mater, St Joseph's College of Commerce (SJCC), here on Friday, Dravid reminisced about his days on the hockey field.
"I played a lot of hockey in school. I was fortunate to play with people like Anil Aldrin and Sandeep Somesh for two reasons. Firstly, we were a strong team and won tournaments like Centenary Shield and the Father Eric Vaz inter-school tournaments because of these two guys. Also, it was a good lesson for me because when I watched them play or played with them, I realised that I was better off playing cricket," Dravid joked.

Incidentally, Dravid and Somesh both played as midfielders, while 1996 Atlanta Olympian Aldrin was a defender. The 53-year-old Dravid said hockey had played an important role in his formative years. "I loved playing hockey. It was a great team sport. India has such an incredible history, legacy and tradition in hockey," he said.
Dravid also praised the resurgence of Indian hockey after the men's team secured back-to-back Olympic bronze medals in Paris and Tokyo. "We haven't been able to reach the heights and standards that we had in the past, but I'm glad we have been quite successful in recent times. There is a revival of hockey," he observed.
The two-day five-a-side inter-college hockey tournament, which has attracted 17 teams, has been organised by SJCC's Old Students' ****** ociation (OSA) and Yes For Hockey. The competition is timely for the revival of collegiate hockey, which has declined over the years.
Lauding the efforts of OSA, Dravid said, "They've been very passionate about trying to revive hockey and get more youngsters to play it, which is really important because it's such a phenomenal sport to be a part of. I think it's only going to keep getting better."
Known throughout his playing career for exemplifying sportsmanship, Dravid urged young players to uphold the spirit of the game. "Play in the right spirit, competitively but also with the right sense of camaraderie," he stated, adding, "Not everyone is going to play for the country, but there is so much that sport can give you. The lessons that you learn from sport will carry you for the rest of your life."

The Department of Justice filed a proposed settlement Monday to resolve its claims against Willow Bridge Property Co., one of the country's largest apartment managers. The United States et al. v. RealPage et al. federal antitrust case alleges that Willow Bridge violated the Sherman Act, which prohibits unfair monopolies, with its use of RealPage's rent price-setting software.
The agreement, filed July 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, is part of the DOJ's ongoing enforcement against algorithmic coordination, use of competitively sensitive data and other anticompetitive practices in rental markets, per a Monday press release from the agency. The deal does not include financial penalties and must still get a judge's approval.
The lawsuit alleges that six landlords used RealPage's algorithmic pricing software to fix rents by illegally collecting and sharing confidential pricing information, enabling them to unfairly set prices in tandem rather than independently as competition laws require. Multifamily Dive reached out to Willow Bridge for comment but did not hear back by publication time.
The Justice Department and eight states filed the initial civil antitrust lawsuit against RealPage on Aug. 23, 2024, and amended their complaint on Jan. 7, 2025, to add Willow Bridge and five other apartment management companies as defendants: Greystar, LivCor, Camden Property Trust, Cushman & Wakefield and its subsidiary Pinnacle Property Management Services as well as Cortland Management.

No, you haven't somehow missed Pink's Broadway debut.
The Grammy-winning singer hasn't starred in a musical, headlined a limited run or quietly spent the past year workshopping a role. The closest she's come is having songs of hers, like "Perfect" and "Raise Your Glass," featured in & Juliet and Moulin Rouge! The Musical, respectively. Yet it will be her taking center stage at Broadway's biggest night as the host of the 79th annual Tony Awards on Sunday night. And surprisingly, it was her 15-year-old daughter, Willow, who paved the path for her.
As Pink tells Yahoo, a move to New York City for her theater-loving teen has turned her into a regular Broadway audience member. (Case in point: The mother-daughter duo was recently seen attending the opening night of The Lost Boys: A New Musical.) It's given the singer (real name: Alecia Moore) an in with the industry, and a new appreciation for the community she'll be celebrating this weekend.
"Willow has my ******* in a seat at a different show almost every night of the week," says Pink. "I'm exhausted."
The apple, it seems, doesn't fall far from the tree. Pink says she's always had a little theater kid in her.

Pink shimmered in a bejeweled LBD with a high-drama train as she attended the 2026 Tony Awards on June 7.
The "So What" singer is hosting the biggest night in theater.
Pink posed with her kids Willow and Jameson, husband Carey Hart, and mom Judith Moore.
Pink was ready to get the party started as she kicked off the red carpet fashion parade at the Tony Awards 2026 with four very special guests. The "Just Give Me a Reason" singer—who's hosting the biggest night in theater this year—stunned in a bejeweled LBD with lookalike daughter Willow, son Jameson, husband Carey Hart, and her mom Judith Moore during the family affair.
Fresh off her New York City move to support her 14-year-old daughter's dreams of performing on a Broadway stage, Pink tapped into her own love of the theater in a show of high-octane glamour. Ahead of her Chicago tribute performance, the "So What" singer celebrated the Roaring 20s-era show's 30th anniversary on Broadway with a sculptural gown with a plunging sweetheart neckline, a column skirt, and a blue flower-petal inspired ruffle overlay that cascaded down the sides and back of her dress. Pink matched her ruffled train to a matching floral piece in her hair, which complemented a pair of black shoulder-length dangling earrings.

NEW YORK (AP) — Two artifacts found at a lake shore in Greece are the oldest wooden tools to be uncovered so far and date back 430,000 years.
One is a spindly stick about 2 1/2 feet (80 centimeters) long that could have been used for digging in the mud. The other is a smaller, more mysterious handheld chunk of willow or poplar wood that may have been used to shape stone tools, according to research published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Scientists think ancient humans wielded a whole litany of tools made from stone, bone and wood. But it's particular
