Congratulations to Olympiakos' Mexican striker Armando Gonzalez, who treated us to the miss of the season as early as August.
Michael Olise really does nothing like anyone else, as shown by this very unusual warm-up.
With a hat-trick and an ****** ist, Bruno Fernandes delivered a huge performance to lead Manchester United to their first win of the season against Ipswich.
So here's your chance to (re)discover his masterclass on video.

Following the conclusion of the preseason for the Jacksonville Jaguars, which players received the highest overall grades from Pro Football Focus, and which received the lowest?
Let's take a look, but first I do want to mention that while PFF's grading system is certainly helpful at quantifying a player's performance, it is not the be-all and end-all when it comes to evaluations. It is one tool out of many that are out there and should be treated as such.
For some context around these grades, below is the grading scale.
90.0+: Elite
80-89.9: High quality

Well, this is something to wake up to. According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, overnight Tottenham Hotspur and Everton reached an agreement to essentially swap attackers — bringing Ilman Ndiaye to Spurs, with Richarlison returning to Everton heading the other direction. This is NOT a true swap deal; these will be treated as separate transfers.
In yesterday's post-match press conference, Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi essentially told us that Richarlison asked to leave Spurs for a new challenge. I just didn't realize it would all go down so quickly. According to Paul Joyce of The Times, Ndiaye will cost Spurs about £60m, with Richarlison heading the other direction for a fee of £35m, making the outlay a lot lower than most transfers that Spurs have brought in this summer.
Ndiaye, 26, is a French fooballer who has declared for and plays international football for Senegal. He's been used primarily on the left wing for Everton, but can also play centrally or on the right. He's NOT a striker but could be implemented as a #10 if needed. Ndiaye likes to be on the ball and frequently prefers to take on and dribble past his defenders, which frequently turns into touches in the penalty area and shots. He likes to cut inside from the flank and is also comfortable receiving the ball deeper as a ball progression outlet. His acquisition means that Spurs will essentially only have three first team strikers on the books — Omar Marmoush, Dominic Solanke, and Dane Scarlett — but Ndiaye will fortify Spurs' attacking midfield options. His preferred position at Everton will put him in competition with Mathys Tel and Savinho, but his positional flexibility means he could be an ***** et elsewhere as well. He's also a willing presser and capable of putting in defensive work to make tackles. Despite maybe hinting otherwise yesterday, I'm kind of a fan of this deal.
As for Richarlison… well, I'm sad. He's probably my favorite Spurs player (non-Sonny edition) of this era. He's a vibes guy who always seemed to lift the mood, and it's clear he loved Spurs. But it's just as clear that he's not happy here anymore, and as his career starts to wind down a return to the club that lifted him to stardom feels like the closing of the circle. Everton fans love him as much as we do, and I can't begrudge them, or him, this move. It feels like the right choice.
What do you think of this deal? Can Spurs get it across the line before the window closes on September 2?

It was the weirdest moment of Saturday. During Real Sociedad-Espanyol (2-1), Basque goalkeeper Álex Remiro got injured in stoppage time and was treated on the pitch before returning to his position, with his team having already used all five substitutions.
The problem: a new rule in La Liga now requires an outfield player to leave the pitch temporarily when a goalkeeper is treated without being substituted, in order to prevent time-wasting. As a result, La Real were down to ten men for a minute.
The situation sent Real coach Pellegrino Matarazzo into a rage, clearly unaware of this new rule. His anger ended with a sending-off after he furiously protested the referee's decision.
What do you think of this rule? Tell us everything in the comments.
Despite a staggering €354 million spent in the transfer window, Tottenham suffered their second defeat in two Premier League matches against Newcastle and now sit bottom of the table.

Meghan Markle refuses to let history repeat itself now that she's back on U.K. soil, an insider tells Examiner.
"Meghan still has a lot of PTSD from all the bullying she says she experienced the last time she lived in England, so she's going in with very strong boundaries to make sure that doesn't happen again," explains the insider. "She feels she has to protect herself."
In 2020, the As Ever founder, 45, and husband Prince Harry stepped down as senior working royals and moved to California, later alleging in various interviews, a Netflix docuseries and his bestselling memoir that they were mistreated while members of the monarchy.
Specifically, the couple made repeated allegations about tension between Markle and Princess Kate.
Within Spare alone, the Duke of Sussex, 41, wrote about the Princess of Wales, 44, bristling at sharing her lip gloss with the Suits actress, making Meghan cry ahead of their 2018 wedding and reprimanding her sister-in-law for saying she had "baby brain," ****** o! reports.

Trash talk has always been at the heart of combat sports. Over the years, mastery on the microphone has propelled fighters to superstardom, and there is ***** ody in UFC history who has weaponized the mic better than Conor McGregor.
The Irishman demands attention each time the spotlight is on him, effortlessly breaking his opponents down mentally and selling fights. Viewers, both fans of McGregor and not, would buy his headlining pay-per-views and tune in, hoping to be treated to something spectacular after months of his verbal warfare. While many consider 'The Notorious' the standalone best trash talker in the history of mixed martial arts, legendary boxer Tyson Fury believes he deserves much of the credit.
During an interview with Russian media outlet ALF Global, Tyson Fury claimed that Conor McGregor copied his persona and blueprint to achieve global fame. McGregor was able to capitalize on a sport that was short on household names, used trash talk to his advantage while also delivering spectacular performances inside the cage, and quickly became the biggest star the sport had ever seen. Because of this, Fury wants to take full credit for pioneering the exact style that defined McGregor's career.
"For me it's always been easy. Talking is what I do best," Fury said. "If there was world championships for talking, I'd be the undisputed champion."
"Yeah, maybe [McGregor would compete against me on the mic]. But I taught him. He copied me. He copied my style. I've been talking sh*t from the beginning, a long time. I don't do it to get in their heads. Boxing is a show business. Boxing is Hollywood. Boxing is a movie. The fans have to be entertained."

The stock market saw solid gains for the major indexes, rebounding off their 21-day moving averages, though small caps fell slightly toward their 50-day line. Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh leaned hawkish in his Jackson Hole speech, and markets generally seemed to like it. Nvidia (NVDA) surged on booming earnings and blowout guidance, but many chip and AI hardware plays struggled. Negative earnings reactions to Marvell (MRVL) and Everpure (P) didn't help. Meanwhile, Salesforce (CRM), CrowdStrike (CRWD), Okta (OKTA) and Elastic (ESTC) were big software earnings winners, fueling a bisector move. Youth apparel retailer Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) skyrocketed while ****** 's Sporting Goods (DKS) dived.
The major indexes rose solidly off their 21-day moving averages, not far from record highs, though small caps retreated toward their 50-day line. Fed Chief Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole speech got a generally positive reaction. Nvidia (NVDA), Salesforce (CRM), CrowdStrike (CRWD), Okta (OKTA), Elastic (ESTC) and Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) were among the notable earnings winners. Crude oil prices and the 10-year Treasury yield fell, though they came off weekly lows.
Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh, coming off his July 29 news conference that left Wall Street doubting his inflation-fighting credibility, turned the page with Friday's address at the annual Jackson Hole, Wyo., monetary policy conference. Warsh said his perception is that the economy has strengthened, allowing the Fed to focus on achieving its 2% inflation target. Citing strong business capital spending and strong profit growth, with the exceptions of housing and agriculture, Warsh said he would be "hard pressed to describe broad financial conditions as restrictive." Reaction to his address lifted odds of a Sept. 16 Fed rate hike to 56% from around 35% on Thursday, according to CME Group's FedWatch tool.
The latest inflation data may have added to pressure on Fed Chair Warsh to set a hawkish tone on Friday. The PCE (personal consumption expenditures) price index topped forecasts with a 0.2% rise that kept the 12-month headline inflation rate at 3.7%. Core inflation held at 3.3%, though the figure was 3.344% when unrounded to the nearest tenth of a percent. Q2 GDP growth was unrevised at an unimpressive 1.5%, but the underlying measure of growth was revised to a sizzling 4.2% from 3.9% initially. That reflects final real sales to private domestic purchasers. The Bureau of Labor Statistics said it expects to revise payroll growth in the year through March down by 79,000 overall and 178,000 for the private sector. That would leave 12-month gains of 195,000 overall and 321,000 for private employers.
AI chip leader Nvidia (NVDA) posted a beat-and-raise fiscal second-quarter report and gave a bullish forecast for next year. Nvidia stock jumped on the news. Adjusted earnings surged 112% year over year. Sales soared 106% to $96.2 billion, the fourth straight quarter of accelerating revenue g

One of the reasons the San Francisco Giants have liked Christian Koss so much is his baseball savvy. Against one of the team's top 2026 tormentors, the Diamondbacks, Koss' baserunning helped fuel a rare win against Arizona.
Hit by a pitch in the fifth, Koss dashed from first to third on Nate Furman's sacrifice bunt, realizing third baseman Jose Fernandez hadn't retreated fast enough to the bag. That set up Drew Gilbert's sacrifice fly to take a 2-1 lead, helping starter Landen Roupp snap his five-game losing streak. The Giants are now 2-8 against the Diamondbacks this season.
Jung Hoo Lee hasn't started two games in a row because of a bruised right elbow, but he pinch hit in the eighth Thursday and drew a 10-pitch walk. He scored on Bryce Eldridge's double and rookie outfielders Jonah ****** and Turner Hill provided RBI singles that inning, while third baseman Shay Whitcomb sent ****** in with a safety-squeeze bunt.
With Willy Adames likely out for the rest of the season with an elbow injury, Koss has started 27 of the past 28 games and has a plus-2 outs above average (OAA), an advanced Statcast metric. Adames, who has played through back issues this season, had a minus-17, tied for worst in the majors.
The Giants have Marcelo Mayer, acquired from Boston at the deadline, waiting in the wings. When he's ready to come off the injured list - he expects to be out of a walking boot for a bruised foot soon - Koss is likely to shift back to third, where he has also played well.

The NBA is stacked with a whole generation of rising young stars, and Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero is one of them. In just four seasons with the Magic, he has proven himself as their most important player with a solid all-around game and consistent, mature leadership on the floor.
Despite his star status, Paolo has never been marketed or celebrated the same way as some of his peers, and we're finally understanding why. With a special mention to Zion Williamson and Cooper Flagg (fellow No. 1 overall picks), Banchero explained how the COVID-19 pandemic forever changed his standing across the league, and how it has yet to fully recover.
"Both of them (Zion and Flagg) are great players, and all the hype they get is very warranted. I think my situation was a lot different," said Paolo on 'Dawg Talk'. "I came up during COVID, and I think that had a big effect. I didn't get a senior year of High School, really. My whole senior year of High School was online. High School was shut down. No one from my class really got that hype. It was Chet and I really, but COVID kind of clouded all that. We didn't get a McDonald's All-American Game."
Paolo was part of the 2022 draft class, being selected with the first overall pick. Coming from Duke, public opinion was high on Banchero, but not nearly to the degree it usually is for No. 1 picks. Zion Williamson and Anthony Edwards, for example, were the top selections leading up to Paolo's class, and both were treated like future MVP candidates.
Paolo, too, might have gotten a similar treatment had the COVID shutdowns never transpired. His draft class was the most affected by the pandemic, having their senior year shut down and their college season headlined by a raging health crisis. Paolo never got to play in the famed All-American game, and it's just one of the many experiences he missed out on during his transition to the league.

King Charles has revealed his plans to return to London, a day after his son Prince Harry touched down in the UK.
The Sussexes officially landed on British soil on Wednesday, marking the beginning of their next family chapter after living abroad in the US for the past six years. Meanwhile, Charles retreated from the royal spotlight earlier this month for his annual summer break in Balmoral with the royal family.
Amid the news that the Prince and Princess of Wales have officially left Balmoral after a week with the King and Queen, it's now been revealed the monarch will travel back to London next week for a special engagement at his beloved home, Clarence House.

Enes Kanter Freedom's battle with the WNBA rolls on after the former NBA center was ejected from Sunday night's Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky matchup following a confrontation with Chicago guard Natasha Cloud.
Kanter Freedom was sitting courtside wearing a shirt reading "WOMAN noun. adult human female." Late in the third quarter, Cloud could be seen shouting at the self-proclaimed "human rights activist," while Kanter responded by stretching out his arms and taking a step toward the court before being removed by security.
On Wednesday, Fox News reported that Kanter Freedom, who has since been banned from attending Sky home games, has sent a letter to the WNBA, requesting, among other things, "an explanation for the basis of my ejection" and a full refund for the cost of his tickets.
Kanter Freedom claims Cloud was the instigator for the incident, saying the WNBA veteran "turned from the court, approached my seat, and began yelling, cursing, and pointing in my direction."
"According to the WNBA, any physical or verbal altercation with a fan is treated as conduct detrimental to the game," Kanter Freedom wrote. "The WNBA Office holds the authority to issue heavy fines or multi-game suspensions for players who cross the line into berating or cursing at spectators. Yet Ms. Cloud's conduct of yelling, swearing, and pointing at a spectator (me) appears to have escaped any accountability and was, in fact, defended by her coach."

Ricky Schroder is giving people the "ick" with his tribute to late co-star Dolly Parton.
The NYPD Blue alum, 56, and legendary country singer appeared in Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors in 2025, as well as its 2026 sequel, Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. He played a version of her father in both TV movies.
Taking to social media on Tuesday, August 25 — following Parton's death at the age of 80 — Schroder shared a post honoring the icon. Alongside a photo of them together, he wrote, "I didnt agree with her advocating for Transgender & Covid Vaccine support…but Loved her anyway. Thank you for choosing me Dolly to be your Movie Daddy."
Parton was a vocal supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, speaking out against North Carolina's anti-trans bathroom bill in 2016 by telling CNN, "I think everybody should be treated with respect. I hope that everybody gets a chance to be who and what they are."
The singer also donated $1 million to vaccine research amid the Covid pandemic. After helping to fund the Moderna vaccine, she filmed herself receiving it as well, sharing the footage to social media.

A Childless Woman Who Made Children Her Cause
Credit: Tammie Arroyo / AFF-USA.com / MEGA
Dolly Parton never had children of her own, but few entertainers built a more enduring legacy around helping young people. Through the Dollywood Foundation, Parton supported education, literacy and other child-focused initiatives, including a 1991 program that helped reduce a Tennessee high-school's dropout rate from 35% to 6% by offering students a $500 graduation incentive.
Her most famous effort, however, is the Imagination Library, launched in 1995 in honor of her father, who never learned to read. The program grew from a local project into an international literacy initiative, providing children with free, age-appropriate books every month.
Parton once explained her decision not to have children by saying, "God didn't let me have children so everybody's children could be mine." That philosophy became particularly meaningful through her philanthropy, which treated access to books and education as something every child should have.

Aug 26 (Reuters) - Annual U.S. inflation unexpectedly held steady in July well above the Federal Reserve's 2% target for the 65th straight month, and the pause in the decline from a recent Iran-war induced peak is likely to add to the central bank's tense debate over whether interest rates should be lifted or held steady.
The Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index increased 3.7% in the 12 months through July unchanged from June, the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic ****** ysis said on Wednesday. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast a reading for PCE, which the Fed uses to set its target, of 3.6%.
PCE shot to a three-year high of 4.1% in May in rapid fashion after President Donald Trump in late February launched air strikes along with Israel against Iran, sending energy prices spiraling upward as the conflict shut in roughly a fifth of global oil supplies.
Six months later the conflict appears no closer to a final resolution, though the exchange of fire has diminished and oil prices and the wider inflation wave they instigated have retreated from their mid-spring highs.
The fall back in inflation in the last two months has helped buoy the arguments of the majority of Federal Open Market Committee members who voted to leave rates unchanged in July in the range of 3.50% to 3.75%, where they have been since December. But the sluggish pace of improvement is unlikely to mollify a growing minority of officials who argue tighter policy is needed given inflation has been above target since February 2021 and will not get there without further restraint.

Barcelona are heading into the final week of the transfer window with a clear message emerging from the club's sporting leadership: Julian Alvarez remains the target, and there is little interest in settling for anyone else.
That is perhaps the biggest takeaway from the latest meeting involving Joan Laporta, Deco, Hansi Flick, Bojan and Alejandro Echevarría at the Ciutat Esportiva, reports Mundo Deportivo.
With time running out, Barcelona are **** sing how to complete their remaining business, but the search for a new No. 9 has become increasingly straightforward.
The club want Alvarez, and if the move cannot be completed, Barcelona are prepared to wait.
Notably, Alvarez is not being treated as one option among many.

The U.S. Treasury is weighing whether to use its roughly $1 trillion General Account to help pay for its expanded bond buyback program, according to CNBC, citing two Treasury officials. The officials did not say how much of the account would be used.
Monday's report pushed the 10-year Treasury note yield down 4 basis points to 4.7%. The 30-year yield, which last week reached its highest point since 2007, retreated 4 basis points to 5.23%.
The Treasury General Account functions as the federal government's primary operating account at the Federal Reserve. The account stood near $950 billion — well above the $550 to $600 billion level the prior administration had aimed to maintain — and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent built the balance using existing tax collections. The prevailing market expectation had been that buyback purchases would be funded through new short-term bill sales, an approach Bessent described as a "Treasury Twist." The senior officials did not rule out that approach but indicated the General Account represents an additional potential funding source.
Officials said they do not view a partial drawdown of the account as creating a near-term cash management problem, with the next debt-ceiling constraint not expected until sometime between next winter and early spring, according to CNBC.
The report follows Treasury's announcement last week that it would at least double the maximum size of its per-operation bond purchases for longer-dated securities, raising the ceiling from $2 billion to at least $4 billion for the 10-to-20-year and 20-to-30-year portions of the market. Treasury set the window for those larger operations to begin September 9 and close November 4. Yields dropped after the announcement before rebounding, with the 30-year yield giving back most of Wednesday's decline by Thursday, as ***** ysts questioned whether the program was large enough to alter the balance of supply and demand in a $32 trillion market.

RMDs are locked to the prior December 31 balance, so a midyear IRA collapse from $100,000 to $16,000 still requires the full withdrawal.
A $4,065 RMD can trigger a 'tax torpedo,' pushing Social Security into taxable income and adding roughly $6,820 to total gross income.
Retirees 70½ or older can use a Qualified Charitable Distribution to satisfy the RMD without adding to adjusted gross income, reducing the Social Security tax hit.
Are you ahead, or behind on retirement? SmartAsset's free tool can match you with a financial advisor in minutes to help you answer that today. Each advisor has been carefully vetted, and must act in your best interests. Don't waste another minute; learn more here.
A retired man in his mid-seventies ended December with approximately $100,000 in a traditional IRA. Much of it sat in a private-credit investment he had treated as a conservative source of income. Then the investment collapsed. By summer, his account was worth approximately $16,000. He called the custodian expecting his required minimum distribution (RMD) to fall with it. It did not.

With the focus of global investors shifting away from the short-term economy to long-term fiscal credibility, the US dollar started its day on August 24 on multi-month lows. Although Treasury Department's plan to double buybacks to the tune of $4 billion per operation on 10- to 30-year debt has eased concerns in some market circles, others are concerned that Washington intends to further suppress long-term borrowing via the deficit without remediation. U.S. 30-year yields are at 5.337%, last week's 19-year highs, and a slightly better than expected Services report on Friday did little to push the dollar higher. Investors are watching both Friday's speech by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh from Jackson Hole and July's inflation for more insight on the possible direction and duration of monetary policy.
Buyer perception is that the ECB will continue to adhere to the fight against inflation after the September opening of a 2.5% deposit rate. In the meantime, while the recovery in Europe is uneven, sentiment in the markets is that recent growth data and business activity support the push for further inflation focus against the backdrop of the Iran conflict.
Sterling is further supported by the comparative relationship with the dollar. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh rose to 2.9% in July, while second-quarter GDP increased by 0.4%. There were also declines in retail sales and an unexpected budget deficit by the government which has weakened prospects. With all of this in mind, the best case scenario is still limited. Most economists predict interest rates will stay the same for the remainder of 2022. That said, inflation is still expected to rise enough to prompt the Bank of England for at least one interest rate hike in 2026.
For August 24, the primary FX theme is increased uncertainty over U.S. fiscal policy and treated the dollar as being weak, while the risks of tightening by the ECB and BoE supported the euro and pound.
For the U.S. Dollar Index, the 4-hour chart shows a price currently at $98.89 after breaking the $99.38 support. The price is below the 50, and 100, period Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) confirming a bearish sentiment. The price has been attempting to stabilize in the range of $98.55 to $98.82, and has broken some support, but no major resistances have been established.

The Baltimore Ravens released their final unofficial depth chart of the preseason ahead of Friday night's matchup against the Washington Commanders. The chart provides another look at Baltimore's roster hierarchy before the team concludes the preseason and reduces its roster to 53 players by 6 p.m. Sunday. It also confirms that at least two starting competitions remain unresolved.
Unofficial depth charts are compiled by the communications department and should not be treated as final roster decisions. They can, however, reveal how players are grouped and which competitions remain open.
Here are seven takeaways from Baltimore's latest depth chart.
Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic share the starting center position with an "or" designation. The competition became more significant after Danny Pinter suffered a torn patellar tendon during a joint practice with Minnesota. Pinter remains listed fourth on the depth chart but is expected to miss the season. Gwyn's athleticism and familiarity with offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford have helped him earn first-team work. Pocic offers considerably more NFL experience and has returned to game action after recovering from an Achilles injury.
Wednesday's joint practice and the preseason finale provide the final major evaluation opportunities. Baltimore needs the winner to develop communication and timing with Lamar Jackson before Week 1.

Oil has been one of the stranger stories in markets this year. Crude topped $114 a barrel in April when the Iran conflict was at its worst, then retreated sharply once diplomacy moved in.
It has been climbing again since early July, up roughly 30% from that trough. Brent is now between $91 and $93 a barrel and has gained 13% in the past two weeks alone.
That is the backdrop for what Morgan Stanley's chief equity strategist said on Aug. 24. It is worth reading before it gets buried under the next data release.
Michael Wilson, Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. equity strategist, said a renewed oil spike is the single biggest near-term threat to American equities, Bloomberg reported.
His note was blunt. "Crude is the near-term risk, and it's asymmetric," Wilson wrote. Stocks get hurt more by a crude spike than they benefit from a crude dip. That is not a new observation. He first laid it out in a March 2026 note. It lands differently now that oil has been moving the way it has.

Norway's Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Mette-Marit marked their silver wedding anniversary by posing for a new photograph, published on Tuesday, in the grounds of their home at Skaugum estate.
"25 years filled with love, family and a life together," the royal household wrote beneath the photograph, which it shared on Instagram to mark the anniversary. The picture shows the crown prince and princess smiling and dressed in summery outfits.
The couple also posted photos on Instagram of a trip they took after their wedding, showing them on the beach at Long Island.
The couple married 25 years ago, on August 25, 2001, at Oslo Cathedral. The past few months have not been easy for them. The crown princess, who has a serious lung condition, received a transplant earlier this year. Haakon and Mette-Marit are celebrating their silver wedding anniversary in private as she recuperates.
On Tuesday morning, the couple arrived at the Oslo hospital where King Harald V is currently being treated, apparently to visit the 89-year-old monarch, who is Haakon's father.

GE Vernova's (NYSE: GEV) stock price shot up 80% in the first half of 2026, but has since retreated from its peak. The stock trades under $1,000 now, having declined more than 10% in just the past month. Is this recent pullback a signal that GE Vernova is a bargain or a trap? Let's have a look.
GE Vernova's fundamentals are strong. The company beat second-quarter expectations while reporting an 88% year-over-year jump in its backlog. GE Vernova's $176 billion backlog provides significant visibility into near- and intermediate-term revenue. The company's profitability metrics have risen substantially.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Vernova also raised its full-year 2026 guidance in its latest earnings release, with free cash flow potentially reaching $12.5 billion.
So what's the problem? The answer is blowing in the wind, as the song goes. GE Vernova's wind segment is struggling mightily, and orders decreased 40% year over year in this latest quarter. The wind segment's losses are also widening. It's expected that the wind business will hit a staggering $400 million loss this year.

Speculation about who will be the new James Bond rages on, but while the world waits with bated breath to find out who will be crowned 007, our attention is still on former Bond, Daniel Craig.
Since departing the role of the world's most famous spy, 58-year-old Daniel Craig has treated us to fashion campaigns (who could forget his Loewe ad?) as well as a star turn in the Glass Onion film franchise, but one thing he has kept mostly out of the public eye is his private life with fellow actor Rachel Weisz. Unlike many celebrity couples, Daniel and Rachel are notoriously private, making them unique in the world of A-listers.

The thespian couple have been married since 2011 and share one daughter, Grace, who was born in 2018.
Rachel has a son named Henry, born in 2006, from her relationship with her former partner Darren Aronofsky, while Daniel is dad to Ella Loudon, born in 1992, from his marriage to his first wife, Fiona Loudon.

Miley Cyrus faced a new bullying allegation from former Disney star Jordan Pruitt. Pruitt claimed Cyrus repeatedly mocked her during their younger years. She also alleged that Cyrus left nasty voicemails criticizing her appearance and dancing.
Pruitt made the allegations in an Instagram comment now shared on Reddit. She responded to an old involving Cryus and fellow Disney stars. Pruitt claimed Cyrus treated several people poorly during that period.
A fan then asked Pruitt to share more details about the alleged behaviour. Pruitt claimed, "Miley used to call me and leave me nasty voicemails with her and her friend named Mandy saying I needed a nose job, new teeth, and a choreographer lol. She was relentless."
The former Disney star described Cyrus as "relentless" in the comment. Her allegations appeared alongside a discussion about Cyrus' past behaviour. The post reportedly received more than 1000 likes when screenshotted.
The allegations remain unconfirmed by Cyrus or her representatives. The allegations surfaced after both singers worked within Disney's entertainment circle. Pruitt toured with acts including the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. She also released music through Disney's Hollywood Records.

The U.S. Treasury is considering using its near-$950 billion General Account to help fund its recently announced bond buyback program, according to CNBC, citing two senior Treasury officials. The officials said the account is considered available for purchases of off-the-run securities but declined to specify how much, if any, would be used or when an announcement might come.
The TGA, which functions as the federal government's primary operating account at the Federal Reserve, stood at roughly $950 billion as of the officials' comments — a figure that dwarfs the $550 to $600 billion level that the Biden administration had aimed to maintain. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent built the balance to its current level, and officials said it is funded with existing tax collections.
The prevailing expectation in markets was that the purchases would be paid for through new short-term bill sales, an approach Bessent labeled a "Treasury Twist" during a CNBC appearance last week. The senior officials did not rule out that approach, but made clear the TGA represents an additional potential funding source.
Tapping the TGA could counter doubts expressed by ******* ysts who have argued that the program lacks the scale to exert any real influence on long-term yields. Since the buyback announcement last week, bonds had retreated from an initial rally, pushing yields higher.
Officials indicated they do not view a partial TGA drawdown as creating any near-term cash management problem. Current projections put the next debt-ceiling bind sometime between next winter and early spring, which officials said provides a reasonable window to restore the balance before any constraint bites. Should the Treasury choose to hold the TGA near its current level after using some funds for buybacks, it would need to conduct additional debt sales to restore the account.

On August 13, Karyopharm Therapeutics (NASDAQ:KPTI) held its second-quarter earnings call, and the story split cleanly in two. The company laid out a myelofibrosis combination therapy with data strong enough to earn an accelerated approval pathway from the FDA, alongside a cash position that funds operations only into September. A $15.8 million loan payment lands September 10, and management admitted that paying it without new financing could trip a liquidity covenant and trigger default. Investors are being asked to weigh a genuinely differentiated drug against a genuinely short clock.
The bull case rests on selinexor paired with ruxolitinib, which Karyopharm plans to submit for FDA review this month under the Accelerated Approval Pathway for myelofibrosis. The Phase III SENTRY study found statistically significant, rapid, deep, and sustained spleen volume reductions, along with a preliminary overall survival signal and hints of disease modification. At week 24, the combination nearly doubled the spleen response rate versus ruxolitinib alone, with responses showing up as early as week 12 and holding through week 36 across patient subgroups. Even when ruxolitinib was dosed below 15 milligrams a day, the combination produced SVR35 rates as high as 50%, compared with zero for ruxolitinib alone, suggesting doctors could trim ruxolitinib without losing efficacy.
The overall survival hazard ratio at the time of the topline ******* ysis was 0.43. If cleared, this would be the first approved combination therapy in frontline myelofibrosis, a disease affecting roughly 20,000 people in the US with about 4,000 newly treated each year and no combination option on the market. Karyopharm pegs the peak US revenue opportunity at up to $1 billion and plans to lean on the commercial infrastructure it already runs for XPOVIO, including its KaryForward patient support program, to move quickly if approved. On the existing business, XPOVIO generated $30.8 million in U.S. net product revenue in the quarter, with demand holding roughly flat from a year earlier even as the treatment landscape gets more crowded.
The financial picture is where the caution belongs. Total revenue fell to $33.4 million from $37.9 million a year earlier, largely because Menarini's reimbursement of development costs ended in late 2025, a roughly $6.5 million swing. Net loss widened to $67 million from $37.3 million, and while some of that reflects non-cash mark-to-market adjustments tied to the company's financing structure, the cash balance tells its own story: $65.4 million in cash, equivalents, and investments at quarter end. Management said that funds current plans only through September 2026. A $15.8 million term loan payment is due September 10, and if it goes out without additional financing or a lender waiver, cash would fall below the $10 million minimum liquidity covenant, an event of default.

Fans attending the latest Ultimate Fighting Championship event at Golden 1 Center inSacramento, California, were treated to an action-packed card.
The UFC Sacramento headliner featured a middleweight clash betweenAnthonyHernandez and GregoryRodrigues. The two delivered an entertaining fight, butRodrigues ultimately had his hand raised. In the co-main event,VitorPetrino defeated SergheiSpivac in a heavyweight bout. Although the co-feature did notlive up to expectations, the event produced 10 finishes in 13fights.
Let's examine what could be next for the main-card winners.
Thanks to sharper striking and punishing leg kicks, Rodrigues(20-6, 11-3 UFC) outstruck fellow former Legacy Fighting Alliance ****** leholder Hernandez (15-4, 1 NC; 9-4UFC) in the UFC Sacramento main event. Hernandez rallied in Rounds3 and 4, but "Robocop" did enough to earn a unanimous decision.Rodrigues has won seven of his past eight Octagon appearances.
The next logical step for Rodrigues could be a clash with NassourdineImavov. Both fighters consistently pursue finishes, making thisan appealing matchup. Although Imavov has called for a ****** le shot,he might have to wait with KhamzatChimaev and Dricus DuPlessis also pursuing the championship currently held bySeanStrickland. A victory over Imavov could move Rodrigues close tohis own shot at the middleweight crown.
In the heavyweight co-main event, Petrino (15-2, 8-2 UFC) grappledhis way to a unanimous decision over former World Warriors FightingChampionship ****** leholder Spivac (18-7, 9-7 UFC) in a lacklusteraffair. It was not Petrino's best performance, but the victoryextended his winning streak to four.
The Brazilian continues to climb the rankings in a heavyweightdivision badly in need of new contenders. A matchup with notedfinisher BrandoPericic, who is building momentum of his own, could offer aninteresting test. The pairing would give both men an opportunity toestablish themselves as emerging threats in the division.
Former two-division OneChampionship ****** leholder Reinierde Ridder (22-4, 5-2 UFC) made a successful UFC lightheavyweight debut by defeating RomanDolidze (15-6, 9-6 UFC). De Ridder capitalized on Dolidze'sdecision to pull guard early, overwhelming his opponent on thecanvas by continually advancing position and landing punches.
The end came 4:01 into the first round, when Dolidze could no longer intelligently defend himself as de Ridder poured onstrikes from back control. Although "The Dutch Knight"rebounded from consecutive defeats, the victory came against afellow middleweight competing outside his usual weight class.
To secure a spot in the light heavyweight rankings, de Riddershould next face an established 205-pounder such as BogdanGuskov. Although Guskov lost his most recent ****** ignment, heremains a dangerous opponent who could provide a meaningfultest.
