Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, has opened up about the impact of losing his mother, the late Princess Diana, at a young age.
The Prince has shared his journey with grief in a new Masterclass collaboration with neuroscientist Dr Mary-Frances O'Connor ****** led Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss.
In a video promoting the course, Harry discusses what it was like for him after his 36-year-old mother died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, revealing that he felt "emotionally numb" and spent years trying to cope.
"I couldn't remember my mum's laugh, couldn't remember what she looked like," he confided. "I felt like I had to be sad in order to prove to her that I missed her."

They share an enemy, though. They dislike social media's effects on children's mental health. Talarico, who did not respond to a request for comment, has endorsed a social media ban for kids under 16, while denouncing "predatory algorithms that divide us on an hourly, daily basis." As a legislator, he co-authored a bill targeting explicit deepfakes — digital imitations of individuals that are often made or manipulated by artificial intelligence and used for harassment on social media.
Paxton has been suing Big Tech, alleging the companies hook youth on their apps or don't restrict sensitive videos from being viewed by kids. "When elected to the U.S. Senate, he will continue his proven record of advancing policies that protect children online, strengthen parental rights, and hold Big Tech accountable when it breaks the law," Paxton campaign spokesperson Madison Cercy said in a statement to KFF Health News.

A federal judge has granted final approval to AT&T's $177 million settlement resolving lawsuits over two 2024 data breaches that exposed personal information belonging to millions of customers.
U.S. District Judge Sidney Fitzwater in Dallas approved the settlement Oct. 2, along with $59 million in attorneys' fees for lawyers who negotiated the deal, according to Reuters. For AT&T customers who filed valid claims, the amount they receive depends on which data breach affected them, what information was exposed and whether they can document financial losses. Paramount completed its $111bn acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery on Tuesday, consolidating some of the world's most recognizable studios and news outlets after a bidding war with Netflix and months of legal turmoil.
The new company, now called Skydance, will have David Ellison, the son of a billionaire tech mogul, at its helm, with the former CEO of Mattel, Ynon Kreiz, as co-executive. They will oversee Paramount and Warner Bros' movie studios, HBO Max, CBS News and CNN.
"Today is a historic day, not just for Skydance but for our entire industry," Ellison said in a statement. "From the start, our ambition was to bring these two storied studios together and create a stronger competitor, with the talent, resources, and reach to tell great stories in every genre, on every platform, for audiences everywhere. Now that ambition is a reality."
The consolidation of Paramount and Warner Bros combines two of the last five legacy studios in Hollywood, which includes Disney, Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures.

A royal expert shared that Prince Harry wants to spend as much time as he can with his father, King Charles, now that he has returned to the UK. However, she noted that their extended stay in the country could create challenging times for Meghan Markle. Today's move is being driven by a relatively bearish note from Guggenheim ******* yst Gregory Francfort.
"It seems difficult to get positive on shares now without better evidence of a catalyst path over the next 12 months," Francfort said. "1Q27 comparisons do seem to get a lot easier than the Street models, which could be a catalyst, but we would like to see fundamental reasons that MCD's franchisees are buying into entry level value menu efforts or ops improvements than can drive traffic."
Francfort maintained a Neutral rating on McDonald's stock.

Trump has approved — death by U.S. Army firing squad for convicted terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan, the jihadist who opened fire on unarmed American soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009," Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell announced. "He killed 13 people and wounded 32 others while shouting 'Allahu Akbar' during the attack.
"The Secretary of the Army will set the time and place of the execution," he continued. "Judgement day for Hasan has finally come."
If Hasan's execution is indeed carried out by a firing squad, it would mark the first such case for the service since Jan. 31, 1945, when Pvt. Eddie D. Slovik was executed by a U.S. Army firing squad in France for desertion during World War II.
The last death sentence carried out by the U.S. military was in 1961, when Army Pvt. John Bennett was executed by hanging at the gallows in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, after he was convicted of raping and attempting to kill a young girl.

When it comes to the battle for control of the U.S. Senate, Republicans are mostly playing defense. The lion's share of the races that will decide which party secures a majority in November are in red states — including Texas, Iowa and Ohio — where the GOP is hoping to hold on against ascendant Democratic challengers.
Minnesota is one of the few states in the country where the party is in a position to go on offense and potentially turn a blue seat red.
In pursuit of that goal, the GOP has put its hopes in Michele Tafoya, a former sports broadcaster and NFL sideline reporter turned politician who polls suggest has a real chance of winning in a state that has been dominated by Democrats in recent election cycles.
Tafoya is running for the seat currently held by Democrat Tina Smith, who is not pursuing re-election. Instead her opponent will be Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flannagan, a progressive who supports policies like Medicare for All and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Minnesota has been at the center of some of the biggest controversies of President Trump's second term, particularly his administration's sweeping immigration crackdown. Though a majority of Minnesotans disapprove of Trump's performance as president, Tafoya has steadily chipped away at Flanagan's lead in polls since the primary.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman admits "something's clearly not working" with the artificial intelligence money that has flooded the midterm elections — and he doesn't expect President Donald Trump's rebrand of the technology to improve his industry's image with the American public, either.
"I get why AI has a really negative perception right now," Altman told Brendan Bordelon in an exclusive interview marking the launch of Decoded by POLITICO. "I don't think spending money on politics is what's going to make people feel better about it. The industry needs to figure out a way to address what the actual concerns are, and right now, a lot of people in the industry are being quite tone deaf."
In the wide-ranging conversation, Altman offered a window into how OpenAI is confronting new political pressures and intensified competition with Anthropic, its corporate archrival run by former employee Dario Amodei.
Altman says OpenAI is more tolerant than Anthropic of less-than-catastrophic harms from AI, drawing out what he sees as a fundamental split in worldview between the two leading labs even as they converge on tougher rules in the wake of high-profile autonomous hacking incidents.
"We believe that the world should accept some bad things happening for the benefits of this technology and people having the agency," said Altman, who characterized those harms as linked to "the lighter touch regulatory stance that we advocate for."

June White shocked the MMA world back in 2011 when she released an unauthorized biography on her son ****** led 'Dana White: King of MMA.' The 152 page book was full of all sorts of accusations: that White and his wife got into physical conflicts regularly, that he 'puts Tiger Woods to shame' regarding infidelity, and that he'd slept with his sister-in-law.
All unproven claims, and all a part of what White now says was part of a scheme to get money out of him to buy a bar. In a new interview with The Diary of a CEO, White addressed his mother's book in-depth for the first time.
"I was on a trip one time, I didn't have emails or any of that s–t on the road," White said. "We were in London for like two weeks and when I got back I checked my emails and I had like a bunch of emails from her threatening me: 'You have two options: you can give me this all upfront, or you can pay me in payments over the next f–king whatever. I'm looking to buy a bar or whatever it was.'"
"And then she wasn't getting responses because I was in London, and then the emails started getting nastier and nastier and nastier," White continued. "And I f–king just blew up. That was the beginning of the end with me and her."
