Lagway got hurt in the first half of the game before returning with a lot of tape on his ankle. Lagway finished with 333 yards through the air, two touchdowns, and one interception.

This campaign was never going to be about one opponent. Randle is simply 1-0 after Friday night's 20-14 triumph against Dallas powerhouse South Oak Cliff. But in a rubber match between the programs that have faced off for the past two Class 5A Division II state **** les, taking care of the Golden Bears was the first order of business.
"I mean, we had to break the tie," said Randle, whose team avenged a 35-19 loss from last December's championship game and is now in Class 5A Division I. "We had to break the tie. It's funny because I love what Dallas does. I love what SOC does. But their fans, they talk a lot. So it feels good to have bragging rights for another 12 months until we meet again."

"I'm the mayhem," said fishing guide Branden Trager in reference to his fishing and hunting guide company Adventures with Mayhem Outfitters. The business is based in Brush Prairie, Wash., but the Trager family splits time between Brush Prairie and the Long Beach Peninsula. "We're nomadic," he said.
Trager was in Astoria on the docks of the West End Mooring Basin on Saturday, Aug. 15 to ****** ist with the Lipstick Salmon Slayers tournament, a women-only salmon fishing tournament that brings hundreds to the Columbia River Buoy 10 fishery to compete for cash prizes and empower women fishers.
In line with the spirit of the event, Trager said he was there to support his wife Erica — the organizer of the tourney. She was busy at the event's other location setting up for a celebratory dinner that would lure the women anglers from the docks to a dinner that evening.
Trager's singular goal that day was to provide an inclusive atmosphere for the female salmon slayers lined up on the dock.
The intent was "to have a safe, welcoming environment and not have to worry about being the only girl on board, because that happens a lot as a fishing guide," said Trager. "We have a lot of instances where there is just one girl on the boat. Of course, we make her feel welcomed but it's super fun when it's six gals on the boat. Just being with each other while they are just having the best day of their lives."

Aug. 8—Andrew Todd had his hands on the football quite a bit last season.
The Fisher junior compiled a team-high 725 rushing yards on a team-high 113 carries during his sophomore season in 2025 with the Bunnies. Todd will once again have his hands on the ball quite a bit during the upcoming 2026 season.
Just in a different way.
After playing fullback last season with the Bunnies, Todd is moving to quarterback this season. He'll get his first chance under center at 7 p.m. on Aug. 21 when Fisher hosts ****** berland at Kellar Field in the Lincoln Prairie Conference debut for the Bunnies.
A conversation third-year Fisher coach Jeff Palmer had with his son, Jake, this offseason prompted the potential of Todd moving positions. Jake coached the Bunnies from 2016-2021, guiding Fisher to three playoff berths and two postseason victories, including its most recent one in both categories in 2019.

MIDDLEBURY — Northridge enjoyed a super girls high school golf season in the fall of 2025.
The Ken Brewster-coached Raiders went 15-1 overall and 7-0 in Northern Lakes Conference matches, won the NLC tournament with a team score of 324 at McCormick Creek Golf Course in Nappanee and the IHSAA Northridge Sectional with a 333 at Meadow Valley Golf Club in Middlebury.
It was the program's third straight NLC ***** le and second consecutive sectional crown.
That was followed by a runner-up finish at the IHSAA East ***** le Regional at ***** le Hawk Golf Links in Kendallville. The Raiders shot 312 that day.
In the 2025 IHSAA State Finals at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Northridge shot 336-342—678 and tied for seventh place.

Jul. 31—EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Jackson Blake spent his day with the Stanley Cup in the Twin Cities on Thursday, celebrating with family, friends and former teammates.
Blake won the Stanley Cup last month with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Every member of the Stanley Cup-winning team gets to spend a day with it wherever they want.
Blake chose to take the Cup to several spots in the Twin Cities.
The Cup's first stop was Eden Prairie Community Center, where Blake played games as a member of Eden Prairie High School. He won a state championship with the Eagles in 2021.

Prairie Farms Dairy is shutting two cheese manufacturing sites in Wisconsin, resulting in the loss of almost 100 jobs.
According to WARN notices filed by the company, production is ceasing at its Shullsburg Creamery and White Hill Cheese facility.
In separate notices sent to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and the mayor of Shullsburg, Prairie Farms said it is "permanently ending operations and laying off all employees" at the two facilities.
At Shullsburg Creamery, the company said the closure affects the entire facility and production staff but the retail cheese store will remain unaffected.
The WARN filing shows 43 roles will be lost at the site, spanning packaging, production and cheese operations.

A Dallas County jury last week hit freight broker C.H. Robinson with a share of a $604 million verdict in Peyton Lipe et al. v. Lupus Superior, LLC et al. The case stems from a deadly 2021 crash on Interstate 20 in Mississippi. A tractor-trailer operated by Lupus Superior and driven by Gorgonio Gonzalez plowed into stopped traffic. The wreck sparked a multi-vehicle fire that killed Jennifer Lipe, Benjamin Brewer, and Rhoderick Coleman. Two others were seriously hurt. Gonzalez also died.
The jury found the driver, the motor carrier, and C.H. Robinson all negligent. The jury ******* igned Gonzalez with 45% responsibility, Lupus Superior with 32% responsibility, and C.H. Robinson 23% responsibility. Lupus Superior, a Grand Prairie, TX based motor carrier, holds a satisfactory safety rating with the FMCSA. More importantly, the jurors decided Gonzalez was acting as a "borrowed employee" of C.H. Robinson and was carrying out a mission under the broker's control. That finding opens the door to full vicarious liability for the driver's negligence. C.H. Robinson has said it will appeal.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — England midfielder Jordan Henderson rejoined The Three Lions at their World Cup training base Wednesday after undergoing surgery on his left wrist following a freak injury that he sustained while celebrating their Round of 16 triumph over Mexico last weekend.
The 36-year-old Henderson posted a photo on social media of his left arm wrapped after the procedure at the Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute, which is about a 10-minute drive from their team hotel in the suburb of Prairie Village, Kansas.
“Surgery done!” Henderson said. “Now let's get ready for the big one Saturday.”
Henderson, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the World Cup, had been an unused substitute for Sunday's match against Mexico at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. Lorenz, 27, ran 24 minutes, 26 seconds over the fast 4.97-mile course to win by 42 seconds over former Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Wartburg College runner Jacob Green, 24.

Lorenz has built an impressive 2026 road racing season. He won the inaugural Cedar Rapids Marathon on June 7 in 2:30:55 on a wet day. That win came after he took the victory at the Marion Arts Festival half marathon on May 16 in 1:08:49.
The Fifth Season 8K traditionally offers one of the fastest fields in Iowa on the Fourth and 2026 was no exception. Former Linn-Mar (Marion) and Iowa State runner Greyson Dolezal, 29, ran 25:38 for third. Wartburg sophomore-to-be Ethan Boston, a Linn-Mar grad, was timed in 26:13 for fourth. Ethan Cheney, 18, a recent Linn-Mar grad, also ran 26:13 for fifth. Ex-Liberty HIgh prep Noah Gregoire, now a sophomore-to-be at Mount Mercy, covered the distance in 26:21 for sixth. Aidan Decker, another Liberty product who will start his junior season at Wartburg next month, was next in 26:22. Adam Gray, another recent grad, this time at Kennedy, ran 26:23 for eighth. Carter Mulford, a Wartburg sophomore-to-be who ran for Prairie , was ninth in 26:28. Junior teammate Cooper Cook, a Marion grad, was 10th in 26:31. Former Runablaze athlete Leif Klarqvist, 23, now based in Minnesota, was 11th in 26:38.

The Little House on the Prairie actress took to her Instagram to pen a lengthy note while she mourned the death of her co-star Daveigh Chase. She shared a picture of Chase while writing, " I only worked with Daveigh a couple of days, but I could see she was bright both in countenance and in mind. She was bubbly, sweet and professional. But there was something else there, a push or need to perform …for her parents."
The cause of death of Chase was mentioned as AIDS and chronic polysubstance use, according to OK Magazine. She also mentioned, "I'm truly heartbroken. I certainly understand substance addiction disorder, but this sweet girl's death is so much more. If I had the chance to speak to any parents who were thinking about getting their children in the industry, I would tell them to please, please make sure that they are doing it for the right reasons."
Gilbert's post comes at a time when her husband faces charges of criminal ****** ual contact of a child. According to the BBC, the allegations of ****** ual contact were brought by the child actor who worked with Busfield.
Though Busfield has denied the allegations, he surrendered to the authorities after a warrant was issued last month. Her emotional post sparked a fresh debate online about the realities of child stardom, while her Husband separately faces allegations involving a child.

As of late, fans have sadly been mourning actress Daveigh Chase, who recently died at the age of 35. In addition to fans, a number of Chase's former collaborators have also been speaking out and paying tribute to her. One of the latest actors to honor the late performer is Melissa Gilbert, who's speaking out about her brief experience working with Chase. And, as part of her tribute, Gilbert also got candid about her alleged experiences with child actors and seeing "dysfunction" they were embroiled in.
Melissa Gilbert took to Instagram to acknowledge Chase's death and included a throwback photo of the former child actor. The Little House on the Prairie alum explained that decades ago, she shot a pilot with Chase that apparently didn't make it to air. Gilbert shared warm thoughts about working with the Beethoven's 5th alum during her formative years. And, while the pair apparently didn't work together long on that show, it sounds like Chase left quite an impression on her older co-star due to having a lot of personality at a young age:
I shot a pilot for a series with her 20+ years ago. Two wonderful humans [Jack Coleman] and [Kevin Zegers] played my husband and son, respectively. I only worked with Daveigh a couple of days, but I could see she was bright both in countenance and in mind. She was bubbly, sweet and professional.
However, Gilbert also claimed there was "something else" she noticed while being in Chase's presence. Gilbert went on to claim that Chase displayed "a push or need to perform" for her parents. The When Calls the Heart alum – a former child star herself – didn't go into specifics about what she supposedly saw but went on to say that she had "been around a lot of stage parents" over the years. Gilbert then shared her thoughts on how a young actor's life and career can be impacted by the absence of "strong parenting":

Featured on the teams are four members of WIAA Division 1 state champion Divine Savior Holy Angels , three members of D1 runner-up Muskego and three members of D2 state champion Brookfield Central to lead a host of local honorees. Arrowhead senior Amara Leppla was named the state player of the year to lead the first team.
