Lil Durk was so intent on revenge against Quando Rondo that he turned down a chance for peace, even after the Chicago rapper orchestrated a shooting that was supposed to get Rondo but killed his cousin instead — that's the story federal prosecutors are telling in a new filing.
Durk is days away from being tried for murder-for-hire for the August 2022 shooting that killed Rondo's cousin Saviay'a Robinson — a killing that prosecutors say Durk organized and paid for as revenge for the death of his friend and labelmate King Von. In a filing on Monday (August 17), prosecutors said they have "recently identified" a chain of text messages showing that Durk had been offered a chance to squash his beef with Quando Rondo months after that shooting, but turned it down.
In a trial memorandum, prosecutors explained that they would attempt to prove at trial not only that Durk and his alleged co-conspirators attempted to kill Rondo during the 2022 shooting; they also would show evidence that the conspiracy to get violent revenge continued even after that.
To that end, they plan on introducing at trial an exhibit containing what they say is a text message and voice memo from Durk from December, 2022 "telling his co-conspirators that an affiliate of [Rondo's] reached out to 'squash' the rivalry and ask for 'peace.'"

Frankie Muniz decided to not compete in Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at New Hampshire. His teammate Luke Baldwin, who failed to qualify for the event on Friday, replaced Muniz in the No. 33 Team Reaume Ford.
Muniz, actor-turned-NASCAR driver most known for his role as Malcolm in Malcolm in the Middle, believed Baldwin being behind the wheel would be the best opportunity for the team to run well.
Because Baldwin failed to qualify, Muniz wanted to give his younger teammate an opportunity to race.
In a statement released by Team Reaume, Muniz explained his decision to step aside for Saturday's Team EJP 175.
Muniz praised Baldwin's talent and said the 20-year-old did everything in his power to qualify for the event. Unfortunately, it did not work out. The 40-year-old did not want Baldwin to be on the sidelines, however, and decided to give up his spot for Saturday's race.

When the green flag waves at New Hampshire on Sunday, every car will run the same 301 laps on the same track, chasing the same checkered flag. But with only two races left before the Chase begins, what counts as a good Sunday has a different meaning for every driver.
Start near the back of the Chase picture, where the margin for error is thinnest. Shane van Gisbergen currently holds the 16th and final Chase spot with a 50-point cushion over Ryan Preece. For SVG, Sunday is about keeping Preece from making a significant dent in that advantage. For Preece, it's about closing the gap enough to give himself a realistic shot at taking that final Chase spot when the regular season ends at Daytona.
Move up the standings and the picture changes. Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell have already clinched their Chase spots and enter New Hampshire tied at 695 points. Getting in isn't the problem anymore. Now it's about improving where they'll start when the points reset.
Then there's Denny Hamlin, who's playing an entirely different game. He arrives 115 points ahead of Ryan Blaney with a chance to secure the Chase's No. 1 seed before Daytona. His magic number Sunday is 37 points. Get them, and the No. 1 seed is officially his.
The battle for the win will always demand the most attention. But this Sunday, some of the most important racing may happen nowhere near the lead. They'll all take the same green flag, but a good Sunday won't look the same for any of them.

Berkshire Hathaway's (BRK.A, BRK.B) second 13F filing of the Greg Abel CEO era came with a big surprise in a massive expansion of its Alphabet (GOOG) stake.
Warren Buffett's investing juggernaut raised its position by 83% to nearly 106 million shares worth $38 billion, making Google's parent its third-largest stock holding behind Apple (AAPL) and American Express (AXP).
Tucked inside that Alphabet bet is an unexpected connection to Elon Musk's ****** eX (SPCX).

If there's a habit I've picked up from watching markets, it's that when everyone is looking at the loudest trade, I start wondering what's happening in the quiet corners.
The biggest clues aren't always found in a soaring stock that's already overvalued or a famous **** yst calling for a breakout. Sometimes they're buried somewhere else that investors never bother to open. I'd put this one in the last category.
The latest 13F filing from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust shows a new $352.7 million position in The Home Depot (HD). At the same time, the trust cut its stake in Berkshire Hathaway by about $818 million.
That's not pocket change, and it's certainly not the kind of portfolio move I'd scroll past without asking why.
Why? This is big money moving from one of the market's most iconic investments into a home-improvement giant. There must be a story hiding underneath the numbers. The trust just bought the shares while everyone else seems to be waiting for the housing market to come back to life.

Followers of the New York Giants know that John Mara is the CEO and has the final say on football decisions for the legendary franchise. That could be changing.
John has had recent health issues, and although he's been present at many of the team's major events this year, his younger brother, Chris, has taken on a more visible leadership role. He was highly instrumental in the Giants landing John Harbaugh as head coach this past January.
Chris, whose official **** le is "Senior Player Personnel Executive and Board Director," is now around the team and representing them more in the media, much the way his brother and their father, Wellington, before them have been over the decades.
In a recent interview on ESPN New York radio, the younger Mara had many telling things to say about what the team's mindset is heading into the 2026 season.
They expect to win now. No more hoping. It's on. The Harbaugh hire has changed everything.

Manchester United made a nightmare start to the new season as promoted Hull confounded their many doubters by securing a shock 2-0 victory on their Premier League return on Saturday.
Sergej Jakirovic's play-off winners were written off by nearly every pundit before a ball was kicked, with former England international Joe Cole saying an immediate Championship return is certain, causing anger among the home fans.
Such naysayers will have been rubbing their eyes in disbelief on Saturday lunchtime as the unfancied Tigers roared to a remarkable, and thoroughly deserved, opening weekend win courtesy of a pair of first half set pieces.
Semi Ajayi opened the scoring after United failed to deal with a corner and Michael Carrick's men were again found wanting when Regan Slater sent in a free-kick for debutant ***** el Mendy to nod home.
The Red Devils boss, handed the permanent job in May, warned of a challenging start in East Yorkshire but he could not have foreseen such a meek display from his side months after finishing third.

The Washington Redskins changing their name to the Washington Football Team and then ultimately to the Washington Commanders after an 18-month search was the defining moment of the decade for the team according to Rotowire.
Many moments could be considered defining for the Commanders, but the name change is certainly a big one, since it also coincided with the change in ownership. Under new ownership, the Commanders hired general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn, and their first big move in the NFL Draft was to select quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Picking Daniels may actually turn out to be Washington's defining moment of the decade. As a rookie, Daniels took the Commanders to the NFC Championship after playoff victories against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild card round and the Detroit Lions in the divisional round. Although he ultimately couldn't get Washington to the Super Bowl, it was the farthest the Commanders had reached in the playoffs since they won the Super Bowl in 1991.
Last season was a different story for Daniels and the Commanders. He missed most of the season due to various injuries, and even in the games he did play, he won only two. This year is supposed to be a rebound for Quinn, Daniels, and the rest of Washington's team.
The name change was certainly a defining moment for the future of the Washington Commanders, but bringing in head coach Dan Quinn and drafting Jayden Daniels are also proving to be defining moments in this franchise's trajectory and how competitive it will be for years to come.

Prince Harry doesn't expect a warm welcome from Queen Camilla when he and Meghan Markle move back to the U.K. this fall, says a source.
"There's a lot of hostility between them that's running just below the surface," the source tells Examiner. "Just because she was courteous and made nice the last time Harry was there doesn't mean the bad blood has gone away."
In July, King Charles III and his wife, 79, hosted the Duke and ***** ss of Sussex, as well as their kids, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, England. It was the first time all six family members had been in the same place in four years.
"She's still deeply resentful over what he said in Spare, though," the source admits. "By all accounts, there's been no apology from Harry. And there's not likely to be any apology because Harry is still just as resentful of Camilla."

There's little debate about who the greatest college football coach of all time is. It's none other than former Michigan State, LSU, and Alabama head coach Nick Saban, but as is often the case, failure to launch came before the rise to glory.
Not many know that Saban was once an ***** istant under former Ohio State head coach, the late, great Earle Bruce, from 1980-81. Saban started his coaching career as a graduate ***** istant for his alma mater, Kent State, in 1973 and was promoted to the linebackers coach in 1975. He also had stops as an ***** istant at Syracuse and West Virginia before Bruce hired him as a defensive backs coach in 1980. Amazingly enough, Saban was hired to replace another famous coach, Pete Carroll, on the Buckeye staff.
However, Saban's time with a scarlet and gray wardrobe was short-lived. He was fired after a 31-28 Ohio State win against Navy in the 1981 Liberty Bowl as part of a housecleaning of some of the defensive staff because of a reported disagreement in philosophy.
While appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, right out of the gate, McAfee -- with former Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk sitting in tow -- asked Saban if he was ever fired, and Saban was quick to point out his time in Columbus.
"Yeah, I talked to you about that. I got fired when I was a defensive backs coach at Ohio State," Saban said.

There aren't many teammates who would do what Frankie Muniz decided to do on Friday. After qualifying for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Team Reaume's Luke Baldwin and the No. 2 Ford were among the five DNQs.
Muniz, who is a full-time driver in the Truck Series in the No. 33, was set to start at the very back of the field in 36th for Saturday's race.
However, the actor-turned-racer made the decision to willingly give up his seat for the race, allowing Baldwin to take over the No. 33 for this weekend's NCTS event.
"Luke is one of the most talented young drivers in this garage, and this team has two trucks here this weekend," said Muniz in a release from the team. "He came here ready to race and did everything he could. Sitting him out when we have a qualified truck that can put him in the field doesn't make sense for anyone. I'm giving up my seat because I believe it gives the 33 team the best chance to compete for the most available points this weekend. Luke's speed and his ability to run up front when he gets a clean run is what this organization needs right now. I'll be in the pits cheering him on."
Team owner Josh Reaume praised Muniz for the decision, saying: "Frankie didn't hesitate. That's the kind of teammate and person he is. "Luke has shown time and time again that he can extract everything from our equipment. With the regular season ending Saturday and owner points still on the table, this move puts our strongest available driver in the No. 33 for the 175-lap race. We appreciate Frankie's selflessness and look forward to seeing Luke behind the wheel."

Right now, it isn't clear whether Josh Kushner and Bob Iger will end up buying only Mark Walter's majority share of the Lakers, or if they will also purchase the minority share the Buss family continues to currently own. Walter, who bought his majority stake last year from the Buss family, agreed to sell it to Kushner and Iger last week, and five of the six Buss siblings, except for Jeanie Buss, voted to sell their 17.8% stake to Kushner and Iger on Monday.
In Walter's brief time as the team's majority owner, the Lakers have started to build out their business and basketball operations and move past being operated in a manner akin to a mom-and-pop store. But that process isn't complete, and NBA reporter Brian Windhorst said on "The Hoop Collective" podcast that the franchise is now in a "hiring freeze."
"The crazy thing here is that the Lakers were in the middle of this makeover for their team," said Windhorst. "… I know of one guy who was a front office guy who was in the middle of leaving one team to go to the Lakers, and now all of a sudden they're in a hiring freeze."

Deion Sanders was recently deposed as part of a federal lawsuit accusing the Colorado football coach of defrauding the graphic designer who created his "Prime" logo.
In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Nebraska, Omaha–based graphic designer Alan Tipp alleges that Sanders and his representatives fraudulently induced him into signing away his rights to a pair of logos he first created for the Hall of Fame cornerback in 2011. The two logos—stylized text of the words "Prime" and "Truth"—have since become staples of Sanders's branding during his tenures as the head coach at Jackson State and Colorado.
According to the complaint, Sanders began using the logos around the same time he co-founded Prime Prep Academy in 2011. The design has also appeared in a wide range of commercial partnerships tied to Sanders, the lawsuit says, including Under Armour, Gillette, Jeep, Lamborghini, Aflac, Boost Mobile, and Motorola.
While Tipp initially filed the lawsuit in January 2025, the case's docket was updated on July 30, 2026, to reflect that Sanders was scheduled to be deposed. Front Office Sports has since confirmed that deposition has already taken place. Sanders, merchandise company Prime Time Enterprises, and talent/brand management firm SMAC Entertainment are all listed as defendants in the suit.
Tipp alleges he was approached by Sanders's brand manager and a SMAC Entertainment representative, Sam Morini, shortly after Colorado hired the former Cowboys star in December 2022. According to the claim, Morini sought to have Tipp sign all past, present, and future rights to the logos over to Sanders, who had just been hired by Colorado.

Hayden Panettiere reportedly took extra precautions to protect herself after her on-and-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson returned to her life.
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, the actress hired private security after Hickerson allegedly refused to leave her home during a temporary stay earlier this year.
The source claimed that Hickerson told Panettiere he needed somewhere to stay because he had no money and blamed his past criminal charges on her. She reportedly allowed him to stay temporarily, but he allegedly refused to leave.

Socialist Nithya Raman drew loud groans and hisses from a crowd of Democrats during the Los Angeles mayoral debate after she fumbled while explaining her decision to hire the political consulting firm behind disgraced former Senate candidate Graham Platner's campaign.
After winning the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Maine, Platner, also a socialist, dropped out of the race in July after several ****** ual misconduct allegations. Even before the allegations arose, Platner had stirred significant controversy over his history of inflammatory statements and a chest tattoo critics say resembles a well-known ****** symbol. Though he continues to deny the ****** ual misconduct allegations and maintains his innocence, Platner remains an embarrassment for many Democrats after several prominent figures in the party endorsed and praised him.
During the debate Wednesday night, Raman, a Los Angeles City Council member and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) Los Angeles chapter, faced questions over her decision to hire the consulting firm Fight Agency.
"[It was] reported that you've hired the same political consulting firm that managed Graham Platner's campaign in Maine, who had to resign amidst ****** ual ****** ault allegations. Is that true? And is that the best choice? And why did you make that decision?" the moderator asked.

A comedian has said "it's bonkers" to have scooped the top prize for the cheesiest joke of the year at his first Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Fil Milton runs the Make The Ferret Mad Again comedy nights at The Ferret in Preston, Lancashire.
He said he has been doing stand-up for four years after being inspired by Mark Simmons' one-liners at the Fringe in 2021.
Milton's winning joke was: "My brother convinced me to go halves on a used funeral car - I can't believe I was so easily co-hearsed."
Milton said the "easy bit" about comedy was "standing in front of people" but the hard part was "writing good material".

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, which is now run by Greg Abel, revealed in its latest 13F filing that the fund bought a new stake in D.R. Horton (NYSE:DHI), worth about $580,000. The fund also increased its stake in fellow homebuilder Lennar (NYSE:LEN) by 30% in the second quarter, lifting that position to about $1.2 billion.
The housing market has been taking a hit amid higher mortgage rates, but some long-term indicators suggest a rebound could come. J.P. Morgan Global Research expects home prices to remain flat in 2026 but sees a 3% rise in 2027. Capital Economics forecasts a 2.5% rebound in home prices in 2027, followed by a 4% gain in 2028. The Mortgage Bankers ******* ociation expects single-family construction starts to recover to 967,000 in 2027 and 976,000 in 2028, after dipping in 2026.
DHI is one of the largest homebuilders in the country. In the most recent quarter, gross margin actually beat guidance at 20.7% even as prices slipped amid declining construction costs. The stock is down 10% over the past year. Bulls point out that a broader housing recovery is expected sooner or later and DHI is a strong play to benefit from it in the long term.
Bears say a recovery would take a lot of time. The company recently cut its full-year revenue guidance and Q4 guidance calls for a sequential slowdown in both revenue and homes closed. Elevated mortgage rates, sticky inflation, and cautious buyers are forcing DHI to lean on incentives and lower average prices to keep volume moving and these pressures are not expected to ease soo.
Forward non-GAAP P/E sits at 13.95x, about 13% below the sector median of 15.99x, but 40% above DHI's own five-year average of 9.99x. On a GAAP basis, forward P/E of 13.96x is below the sector median by roughly 19%, yet sits 40% above the stock's five-year norm.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has invested in plenty of dividend stocks over the years. Dividend stocks remain popular among investors as they allow you to create a passive income stream at a low cost.
"Dividend stocks deliver regular payments to investors and can be an essential part of portfolios," according to Charles Schwab's investing education team.
This is precisely what Chevron is doing for Berkshire Hathaway right now.
Between Chevron's rising payout and Berkshire's massive stake, the arrangement now sends more than half a billion dollars into Buffett's coffers every year.
Berkshire Hathaway owns 84,375,856 shares of Chevron. At Chevron's current annual dividend of $7.12 per share, the stake generates roughly $601 million in cash every year, paid out in quarterly installments.

Apple and Alphabet are two of the largest holdings within Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA)(NYSE: BRKB)'s portfolio. Those tech giants are also among the most valuable stocks in the world, with market caps in excess of $4 trillion.
Historically, under former CEO Warren Buffett, Berkshire hasn't been all that big on tech stocks, but that appears to be changing. Apple has been a big exception, largely because of the success of its iPhones, and it has effectively become a massive consumer brand. Consumer goods stocks are investments that certainly aren't foreign to Buffett or Berkshire's portfolio.

Greg Abel has taken over as CEO of Berkshire, and while Buffett claims to have initiated the recent position in Alphabet, Abel has added to it. And it begs the question of whether another top tech giant might end up in Berkshire's portfolio.
Could Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) be the next big tech stock that Berkshire invests in?

Over the last few months, it has become apparent that Google parent Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) (NASDAQ: GOOG) is Warren Buffett's favorite artificial intelligence (AI) stock. Although he retired from his role as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway at the end of 2025, he was the one who initiated its initial investment in the tech giant -- a stake that has grown into its third-largest equity holding under his successor, Greg Abel.
Buffett has repeatedly stated that forever is his favorite holding period for an investment, and even now, he appears to retain his talent for finding such stocks. Thus, Berkshire's newest megastock is likely a good fit for individual portfolios as well, and two reasons explain why.

For all of the hype about artificial intelligence (AI), Alphabet continues to earn most of its revenue from digital advertising. It began applying AI to its applications back in 2001. However, it has likely drawn more attention with Google Gemini, which seems to have answered the competitive threats from ChatGPT and Claude.
Moreover, it has leveraged the technology to drive growth at Google Cloud, the platform through which it provides foundational models, developer tools, and infrastructure for AI, including support for Google Gemini. So successful is its approach that Google Cloud grew its revenue by 82% year over year in the second quarter of 2026.

First-year NFL head coach Jesse Minter continues to bring a different kind of energy to Baltimore Ravens. The team is preparing for the upcoming season by running reps at training camp.
He grabbed the spotlight during a team outing. Minter stepped in front of his players and delivered a seemingly impromptu rap performance. This happened as the team prepares for its second preseason game on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings
MORE: Ravens get positive Nate Wiggins injury update after he was carted off
Minter rapped to Eminem's hit song "Lose Yourself." He looked comfortable in the moment while his players cheered him on. The scene offered a glimpse into the personality behind Baltimore's new head coach.
Minter took over the Ravens this offseason. Baltimore hired him in January after he spent the previous two seasons as the Los Angeles Chargers' defensive coordinator. He also worked for the Ravens from 2017 through 2020.

Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) (BRK.B) repurchased no stock at all in 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, it spent $235 million. In the second quarter, it spent about $4.5 billion, roughly 19 times as much in three months.
At most companies, a repurchase is a routine capital return. At Berkshire Hathaway, it is a published opinion about price. The standing program, as described in the Q2 10-Q, permits repurchases "any time that Berkshire's Chief Executive Officer, after consultation with the Chairman of the Board, believes that the repurchase price is below Berkshire's intrinsic value, conservatively determined." Note the construction. Warren Buffett stepped down as chief executive on Jan. 1 and remains chairman; the filing now vests the decision in the CEO and gives the chairman a consultation. This is Greg Abel's call, and it is the first loud one he has made.

Eagle Capital Management, an investment management company, released its second quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, Eagle Capital Management discussed how enthusiasm around AI capital spending has driven strong S&P 500 earnings growth while also increasing risks from elevated valuations, concentrated demand, and aggressive investment ****** umptions. Eagle remains a strong believer in AI but prefers constructing a portfolio that can perform across multiple outcomes rather than relying on one forecast. The firm believes current earnings can overstate underlying economics because semiconductor equipment is depreciated over several years, while free cash flow growth remains much weaker. It also expects competition and additional capacity across AI labs, hyperscalers, and semiconductors to eventually create winners and losers. These dynamics are encouraging Eagle to recycle capital toward attractive opportunities outside the most crowded AI trades while maintaining selective exposure to high quality beneficiaries. The portfolio trades at a 20% market discount with faster expected EPS growth. Please review the Strategy's top five holdings for key selections.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Eagle Capital Management highlighted Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN). Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) is a leading US-based home builder. On August 18, 2026, Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) closed at $84.94 per share. The one-month return of Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) was 8.75% and its shares lost 31.45% over the past 52 weeks. Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) has a market capitalization of $20.42 billion.
Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) is the second largest homebuilder in the U.S. Margins and earnings have collapsed over the past few years, driven by weakness in the company's geographic markets. This has been exacerbated by a change in business model, whereby the company spun off its land bank. In the long term, going "land light" should reduce balance sheet risk and improve returns on capital, but it also reduces margins, which has a more ****** ounced effect on earnings in today's weak market. Over time, we expect excess inventory to clear and volume and discounting to improve. Indicative of depressed valuations, M&A activity in the sector is increasing. Berkshire Hathaway recently acquired Taylor Morrison, making it the fourth builder in the country."

"At Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. (NYSE:HHH) in June, we closed the acquisition of Vantage Group Holdings Ltd. ("Vantage"), a specialty insurance and reinsurance company. We thereafter announced a leadership transition whereby former Arch Capital Group (NASDAQ: ACGL) CEO Marc Grandisson became Executive Chairman of Vantage, and David Gansberg, Marc's former co-President, will become CEO of Vantage when his non-compete ends in June of next year. Marc and David recently worked as close partners to grow Arch, one of the most successful insurance and reinsurance companies. During Marc's nearly seven-year tenure as CEO, Arch delivered a total shareholder return of 298%, or 23.2% per annum, compared to 144% and 14.4% for the S&P Insurance Index over the same period.
With the benefit of Marc's and David's leadership and Pershing Square's fee-free management of Vantage's investment portfolio, we believe that HHH is well-positioned to become what we have deemed a modern-day Berkshire Hathaway. While HHH generates a small portion of Pershing Square's fee revenues today, we believe that HHH now has the potential to accelerate its growth in intrinsic value and share price, which will drive HHH's market capitalization and, in turn, the variable service fees that we will earn from the company..." The Oklahoma Sooners and head coach Brent Venables have agreed to a contract extension, the university announced on Thursday. OU Vice President and Director of Athletics Roger Denny announced that Venables has agreed to a new contract that spans six total years. The contract, which is pending approval from the OU Board of Regents, adds two seasons to Venables' current deal, and will run through the 2031 season.
Venables was hired as OU's 23rd full-time head coach in December of 2021. He replaced Lincoln Riley, who left to be the head coach at USC a week earlier. In his four seasons at the helm in Norman, Venables has compiled a 32-20 overall record.
In his first season in 2022, the Sooners went 6-7, but Oklahoma rebounded to a 10-3 mark in 2023, which was their final season in the Big 12 Conference. After Venables signed a contract extension ahead of the 2024 season, that year brought the program's first campaign in the Southeastern Conference, and with it, another 6-7 season.
In Year 4 in 2025, Venables posted his best season yet as a head coach. Oklahoma went 10-3 and made the College Football Playoff, losing in the first round. The Sooners won four big SEC games in the month of November that they absolutely had to have, making the CFP after going just 6-2 through the month of October.
Now, Venables is entering his fifth year as Oklahoma's head coach in 2026, and he's tied to the Sooners long-term. The new deal gives him more stability at OU, after the rocky 2024 season, when some questioned how long he'd be the head coach of the Sooners. His 2025 performance quieted many of his doubters, and now he has inked another extension. The board will meet in mid-September, with Venables' new deal on the agenda.
