Former LSU gymnast and new Baywatch actress Livvy Dunne is making the most of her 24th year on the planet by enjoying a private flight to the Bahamas.
Dunne, who said an emotional goodbye to the sport of gymnastics before turning into a social media influencer and actress, claims she's already "washed up" at just 24 years old. Of course, it's a play on words for Dunne, who shared the post from the beaches in the Bahamas.
The post on Instagram shows off her new digs for the weekend as she kicks off her birthday activities by the pool. Dunne's next likely viral post wouldn't be complete without a few poses with her "24" balloons and cheeky swimsuit.
MORE: Livvy Dunne, Landry Kiffin share epic celebration after LSU blowout win
As Dunne rings in yet another year, her 24th might be her best. While she's a decorated gymnast and helped bring LSU a national championship, she's set to star in the new Baywatch series

The Detroit Lions released a pair of players in its Friday roster moves, including former second-round NFL draft pick Levi Onwuzurike. Detroit also released recent seventh-round NFL draft pick and practice squad member Tyre West.
There could be some roster gymnastics at play here from Detroit. As Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press points out, vested veterans on Week 1 rosters have their salaries guaranteed.
By releasing Onwuzurike, the Lions could now re-sign Onwuzurike to their practice squad and make him a game day elevation. That would avoid Onwuzurike's salary from becoming fully guaranteed while potentially bringing back a player that was expected to play a rotational role on the Lions' defense.
Lions announce roster moves:

Onwuzurike has battled injuries throughout his career. The 6-foot-3, 304-pound defensive lineman missed all of last season with a torn ACL. Onwuzurike also didn't play in 2022 because of a back injury.

If Jordan Chiles is planning to return to elite gymnastics competition, she is pulling out all the stops.
Chiles, whose last elite gymnastics competition was the 2024 Paris Olympics, made a social media post captioned, "LA 2028... WHY NOT?" with a video narrated by Michael Jordan.
"Why again?" Michael Jordan says in the video. "Because the dream is still there. Why continue? Because there's still more to give. Why now? Because not every chapter ends when people expect it to. Why her? Because she's that girl. Some decisions don't need permission. Just one more bet on herself. So when the world asks why she's back for a third time, the answer is simple."
The video ends with Chiles saying, "Why not?" and then flashing an LA 2028 grill.
Chiles, who was named after Michael Jordan, has owned more than 100 pairs of Jordan shoes. The basketball legend also messaged Chiles before the Paris Games to wish her luck.

Despite his late fears, the high-school substitute teacher and real estate agent from Ohio made it.
There was also the expected stash of Zach Charbonnet on an injury list as he continues to train.
A chess move with former All-Pro Trevon Diggs, plus five other veterans, who just got cut. For now.
And a wait for Terrion Arnold to eventually, maybe come off on a special list set by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
The defending Super Bowl-champion Seahawks set their initial, 53-man roster for the regular season Sunday — with general manager John Schneider doing his characteristically advanced roster gymnastics and practice-squad maneuvering to treat his roster more like a 70-man team for 2026.

Jessica Alba showed off her workout sartorial agenda with a sculpted post-workout photo. The actress took to social media on August 24 to share a mirror selfie from her home gym.
The 45-year-old rocked a burgundy athleisure set featuring a micro sports bra and figure-hugging, high-waisted leggings. Jessica accessorized with layered gold necklaces and a pair of matching stud earrings. Her brunette locks were swept back into a low bun and she opted for a makeup-free complexion with a glowing base.
Jessica's toned figure is courtesy of her fitness regime that blends high-intensity workouts with flexibility exercises. In 2024, Jessica's personal trainer Ramona Braganza told Shape the actress enjoys Iyengar yoga, which focuses on holding poses longer. "She finds it very beneficial for stretching her body out," said Ramona.
Jessica Alba wore a burgundy workout set (@ Instagram)
"I attribute my athletic body to the martial arts, gymnastics, dance, and strength training I did while filming Dark Angel. That's made me strong and really set the bar," Jessica told Shape. "If you can just do it two or three times a week, a little bit of exercise whether it's yoga or going for a walk or cycling class or something...go for it," she also explained to E! News.

A burst of music, cheering kids and an appearance by Mickey Mouse set the tone for a day of play as families gathered for "Let's Play Sports!," a free community event aimed at introducing young children to a variety of athletic activities.
Hosted by Disney Jr. and ESPN, in partnership with the Chicago Park District and ABC7 Chicago, the event welcomed children ages 3 to 7 to try sports including soccer, boxing, baseball and gymnastics.
It was held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the ComEd Recreational Center, 1434 S. Loomis St., on Chicago's Near West Side.
Organizers said the goal was to spark joy, build confidence and help families learn how to access youth sports programs.

Despite all restrictions on Russian and Belarusian athletes being lifted by the World Gymnastics, they will only be allowed to compete under neutral status at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt.
The agreement was made with the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB), the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), and World Gymnastics in collaboration with the German federal government.
The same will apply to the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Croatia, where the government decided to apply all measures relating to the non-use of Russian and Belarusian national flags, anthems, national symbols and national identifiers," according to European Gymnastics, the relevant governing body.
Under a neutral status, no national flags and anthems will be used during the medal ceremony if gymnasts from either country win a medal.
The decision is likely in line with the views of DTB president Alfons Hölzl. He stated in July that, in his view, it was "understandable that one would not want to allow the World Championships to be used as a platform for propaganda for Putin or Russia."

Over the past decade, the United States gymnastics landscape has been dominated by Simone Biles.
But at the 2026 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Phoenix, Hezly Rivera heralded a new wave of gymnasts.
The 18-year-old became the second woman to repeat as the United States champion in the last 13 years after Biles, finishing with 111.95 on the second day of competition on Sunday, Aug. 9. She finished 1.15 points ahead of Claire Pease (110.8). Rivera also won the balance beam **** le and finished second overall on floor.
Rivera fell during uneven bars on the first day and came into the second day in third place behind Skye Blakely and Pease. But Blakely's lead slipped in the first rotation during her floor exercise after she sat in her first tumbling pass and stepped out of bounds.
From there, Rivera competed in a two-woman race against Pease that heated up in the last two rotations.

Hezly Rivera rallied perfectly on Sunday to claim her second straight U.S. women's gymnastics ****** le.
Rivera, after starting the final day of competition in fourth, ended up beating the field by more than a full point in Phoenix to win her second consecutive national ****** le. She is now the first woman to go back-to-back in the competition since Jordyn Wieber pulled the feat off in 2010 and 2011, excluding Simone Biles' dominant run in the sport, of course.
Rivera was just about perfect on Sunday. The 18-year-old posted a 56.950 in the second day to get to 111.950 on the weekend. While starting more than a point back, Rivera narrowed the gap to half of a point after the first two rotations. It was then her floor routine, where she earned a 14.300, that finally sent her into the lead.
Rivera made her Olympics debut at the Paris games last summer, where she helped the Americans win gold as a team for the third time in the past four competitions. She also defended her beam ****** le this weekend.
Claire Pease finished in second at 110.800 while claiming the uneven bars ****** le, and Charleigh Bullock, 16, came in third at 110.550. Pease was tied for the lead after the opening day with Skye Blakely. But Blakely, who won silver on bars, fell three times on Sunday to drop down to seventh. Two-time gold medalist Jade Carey finished in fifth, and won her third U.S. vault ****** le in the process.

PHOENIX — Olympic gold medalist Hezly Rivera had some ground to make up on the second and final day of the 2026 U.S. Gymnastics Championships after an uncharacteristic fall on uneven bars left her in fourth place.
That's where her experience shined through. Rivera turned in a dazzling performance on Sunday, Aug. 9 to successfully defend her all-around **** le, finishing with a two-day combined score of 111.95, 1.15 points ahead of Claire Pease (110.8). Rivera also won the balance beam **** le and finished second overall on floor.
Charleigh Bullock (110.55) finished in third place, followed by Reese Esponda (108.9) in fourth and two-time Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey (108.75) in fifth.

A two-woman race between Rivera and Pease emerged entering the final two rotations on Sunday. And with Rivera and Pease being featured in the same group, both the competitors and fans in attendance at Mortgage Matchup Center could see where they stacked up against each other after each event.

Hezly Rivera won the all-around ******* le at the 2026 U.S. Championships on Sunday in Phoenix, coming from behind to defeat teammate Claire Pease in a fierce battle that came down to the wire.
After falling from the uneven bars on day one, Hezly Rivera did not take the lead until the eighth and final rotation in Phoenix. Slowly chipping away, routine after routine, the defending U.S. Champion showed impressive mental endurance to clinch her second-straight championship.
With her win, the 18-year-old joins an elite club of American gymnasts who won multiple U.S. ******* les, including Olympic Champions Simone Biles, Shawn Johnson, and Nastia Liukin.
Four different athletes won the four individual events. U.S. Classic champion Reese Esponda claimed her first national ******* le on floor after a two-day masterclass. Olympic and World vault medalist Jade Carey claimed her third U.S. vault ******* le. Rivera defended her balance beam ******* le, while Claire Pease won her first U.S. ******* le, on uneven bars.

PHOENIX — Hezly Rivera cemented her place as the leading U.S. female gymnast — for now — with a historic comeback to repeat as U.S. all-around champion.
Rivera, an 18-year-old 2024 Olympian, jumped from fourth place after the first night of competition to win after the second and final day Sunday. She is the second woman to repeat as U.S. all-around champion in the last 13 years after Simone Biles, who won a record nine ******* les.
Rivera totaled 111.95 points over both days, edging Dallas-area training partner Claire Pease by 1.15 points. Rivera trailed by six tenths after day one, when she fell off the uneven bars.
The last comeback from fourth or lower to win nationals was when Courtney Kupets went from fourth to win in 2003. Eighteen of the last 20 editions, a first-day leader won nationals.

PHOENIX — After Shilese Jones did a meet and greet at the USA Gymnastics national congress and trade show, she sat down and was asked what the last two years have been like.
Jones started with June 28, 2024, the first day of the Olympic Trials for the Paris Games.
Jones, a World Championships all-around silver and bronze medalist in 2022 and 2023, hoped to make her first Olympic team. She was set to return to competition at trials after missing the U.S. Championships four weeks earlier with a right shoulder injury.
But in warm-ups, minutes before trials began, she injured her left knee on a vault landing.
"It all happened so fast, right?" she said Saturday after her booth appearance for gymnastics apparel company Sylvia P. "That last touch right before competing, it all was wild. I'm over here doing a Kerri Strug moment, pretty much. I knew something was incredibly wrong, right? But I was like, 'I'm still going to give it all I got.'"

PHOENIX — Olympic bronze medalist Fred Richard has a new ****** le.
Richard handily won his first all-around ****** le at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships Saturday, Aug. 8. His two-day combined score of 170.015 was two points ahead of Tokyo Olympian Shane Wiskus. Up-and-comer Danila Leykin was third, at 167.001 points.
Richard was all but ****** ured of winning the ****** le after Leykin botched his floor routine, the second event of the night. Richard just needed to be clean the rest of the night, which he was, putting up solid scores on every event. After landing his vault, his final event, Richard threw his arms wide and roared, a huge grin on his face.
Richard didn't lock his spot on the U.S. team for the world championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands — he also needed to finish in the top three on three or more events and only did that on floor exercise — but is all but ****** ured of being on the five-man team that will be announced later Saturday.
Though Richard is a three-time NCAA all-around champion, a U.S. ****** le had eluded him. He was third in 2023, and the runner-up the last two years. With defending champion Asher Hong injured and three-time U.S. champion Brody Malone taking the year off, however, Richard was the heavy favorite coming into the meet.

Richard, an Olympic and World Championships bronze medalist, totaled 170.015 points between two nights of competition at the Xfinity U.S. Championships.
He prevailed by 2.051 over Tokyo Olympian Shane Wiskus, who nixed a planned retirement after just missing the Paris Olympic team. Wiskus also missed the 2025 U.S. Championships after shoulder surgery.

PHOENIX — As Reese Esponda prepared for the U.S. Classic gymnastics meet on July 19, a text came in from none other than Simone Biles.
"Good luck at classics babe," Biles wrote. "Just believe in yourself. Use your power as an advantage. Controlled power is everything."
Esponda was so ill that week that she almost withdrew before the meet. She had only resumed training five weeks earlier after spending part of the spring on crutches and in a boot with a left foot ligament injury.
Still, she made Biles proud that July night. The 17-year-old Montana native surprised herself and won Classic, the biggest victory of her young career.
Classic is the primary tune-up meet for the national championships. Seven times, Biles won Classic and nationals in the same summer.

PHOENIX — Simone Biles picked up another medal this week.
No, the greatest gymnast the sport has ever seen isn't competing at the U.S. gymnastics championships. She was visiting Peru as part of the year-out celebration for the Pan American Games in Lima on Thursday, Aug. 6. As part of her trip, Biles fed alpacas, toured Cusco and the Sacred Valley and met with Panam Sports president Neven Ilic, who gifted her with a massive medal to recognize her role as the global ambassador of the Games, which will be July 23-Aug. 8 2027.
The U.S. championships are Aug. 6-9, with the women competing Friday, Aug. 7, and Sunday, Aug. 9.
There are still almost two years until the Los Angeles Olympics. Here's what we know about the plans of Biles and the rest of the five-woman team that won gold at the Paris Games:
TBD.

PHOENIX (AP) — Jade Carey doesn't need to be at the U.S. gymnastics championships. At least, not like this.
That's part of what makes it all so sweet.
The 26-year-old knows she could have walked away following her final season at Oregon State in the spring of 2025, with a resume stuffed with Olympic and world championship medals and her place in the history of the storied U.S. women's program secure.
She tried, kind of. The athlete who had been going nonstop for the better part of 20 years gave her body a bit of a break after her NCAA career ended. It lasted a handful of weeks.
Then one day, she popped into the gym and, in the words of her father and longtime coach Brian, "started playing again."

Nearly two years after the Paris Olympics bronze medal dispute between Romania's Ana Barbosu and American gymnast Jordan Chiles, the case is headed back to the CAS. After Switzerland's Federal Supreme Court ordered a fresh hearing, Romania initially faced uncertainty over funding its legal defense. Those concerns have now been resolved after Parliament approved an amendment allowing the COSR to finance the country's representation before CAS.
Following the development, Barbosu shared a message thanking those who made Romania's legal defense possible.
"Thank you very much for the support and efforts made to make it possible to represent the Romanian side before the court in Lausanne. I always remain confident that the state fights for its most trusted ambassadors, the athletes." (Translated from Romanian into English using Google Translate).
Interestingly, the post was issued in the wake of weeks of doubt regarding Romania's participation in the reopened arbitration. In January, the original Court of Arbitration for Sport decision was overturned in part, and the case sent back for a new hearing, due to the new evidence presented by USA Gymnastics determining whether it is possible that Jordan Chiles' score inquiry was submitted within the required one-minute period.
When the case was brought back to CAS in Lausanne, the Romanian Gymnastics Federation estimated that defending Bărbosu's Olympic bronze medal would cost around 250,000 Swiss francs for lawyers, expert opinions, translations, a procedural fee and other legal costs. At that time, COSR stated that it had resources on hand, but under current laws, it was not legally able to use public funds for legal representation in international sports conflicts.

Wales have collected 22 medals so far at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with five gold, six silver and 11 bronze medals.
There are three more guaranteed medals after boxers Orlando Holley-Sotomi and Connor Williams reached Saturday's finals, with Owain Harris-Allan left to box in Friday's semi-finals.
Wales' most successful Games were on the Gold Coast in 2018 where they won home 36 medals, including 10 golds, 12 silvers and 14 bronze, but the streamlined nature of this Glasgow event makes it difficult to compare.
The 2026 medals include six in swimming, six in cycling, four in athletics, three in artistic gymnastics, and one each in bowls, weightlifting and boxing.
The swimming relay podium position count as one medal per race but all the competitors who took part in the heat or finals of that event will be given a medal. That means 13 Welsh swimmers leave Glasgow with medals.

Tampa Bay's star nose tackle wants out. Jim Leonhard's front is missing exactly what he brings. Brandon Beane's cap situation is a hurdle.
The Buffalo Bills changed defensive coordinators, changed base fronts and changed the language in the meeting room this offseason. What they didn't change was the personnel in the middle of the defensive line — and that's the one place a 3-4 hybrid needs to work.
Enter Vita Vea. Tampa Bay's nose tackle cut off contract negotiations and requested a trade this week, and NFL.com put Buffalo at the top of his list of landing spots.
"The Bills would have to do some cap gymnastics to make it work, but from a scheme and need fit, he'd be the perfect solution in the middle of the defense," NFL.com wrote. "The Bills struggled up the gut last year, particularly when Ed Oliver was out. Vea would plug that hole. Putting the veteran between Oliver and promising second-year defensive tackle Deone Walker would make Jim Leonhard's defense sing."
Buffalo moved off Sean McDermott's 4-3 base into Leonhard's 3-4 without acquiring the one archetype the front requires: a true nose tackle who eats double teams so the linebackers can run free. Oliver is a penetrator, not an anchor. Walker is a projection, not a certainty.
