JERUSALEM, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that a new documentary film which alleges that mass civilian deaths were routinely built into targeting ‌decisions in Gaza was part of a wave of global incitement against Jews.
"NAZA", directed ‌by Israeli journalists Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday and received a 25-minute standing ovation when it was screened on Thursday.
The film takes its **** le from an Israeli military term for expected "collateral casualties" and is built around anonymous interviews with intelligence officers and soldiers involved in the war.
"It's shocking. We are fighting global antisemitic incitement and when it comes from ‌within us it is intolerable," Netanyahu said in a video posted on Telegram. "And now two Israeli directors portraying the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) as war criminals receive applause at the Venice festival."
Netanyahu's comments followed a statement from the Israeli military chief Eyal Zamir, who said the film constituted an attack on the state of Israel.

Florida State is in search of a new athletic director after the university fired Michael Alford on Monday, Sep. 14, four years after he was hired.
The move was made by FSU president Richard McCullough, who said the Seminoles' athletic program needs to better position itself for the future of collegiate athletics. When he spoke with the media Monday morning, McCullough gave insight into what FSU is looking for in its next athletic director.
He placed a value on business acumen and cited the need for success in revenue generation, while also being savvy enough to navigate the complexities of modern collegiate sports, particularly football.
While no move is imminent, here are a few names that make our initial FSU AD hot board.
Dickey has led the Broncos since 2021, and during his time as the program's athletic director, ***** ey has had a huge impact on revenue generation for the program. That's an area that McCullough highlighted as being important to the Seminoles next AD when speaking to the media after Alford's firing. ***** ey, named the 2025 National ***** ociation of Collegiate Directors of Athletics AD of the year, has overseen Boise State's transition from the Mountain West into the reimagined Pac-12, which would suit FSU and the university's potential interest in departing the ACC.

After being passed over for roles because of her age, "The Drop" star Gail Bean is opening up about the ageism Black women face in Hollywood.
"Black don't crack" is one of the many phrases that pop culture has adopted to classify the graceful ways in which Black communities age. Now, while social media celebrates the ways Black women seem to age like fine wine, Hollywood seems to have a different standard when it comes to casting. During an appearance on "DMC with Na'im Lynn," "The Drop" actress Gail Bean revealed how her age has stopped her from getting roles.
"Let me tell you something. And we're not even really talking about the industry, but just to get into the industry, a deep, meaningful conversation piece that needs to happen when it comes to women and their age. I have been told this year alone for two projects that I was too old," Bean, 33, explained. "I was told I was too old to play Shantae, Snoop Dog's wife. I was told I was too old to play Storm [from X-Men]."
And while Lynn joked that Bean looks like a teenager, she explained: "They see my age online. And they're just like, 'Oh, no.' And the thing is, these are phenomenal casting directors. They do love me. They bring me in for way [more] other stuff. But, like, I was on the list literally two years ago for X-Men, for Marvel…as time passed, they're like, 'Yeah, no.'"
Bean continued, "I had such an emotional moment because it was like back-to-back within a month of being told no. And here's the thing. I'm okay with the no. It wasn't the no that hurt my feelings. It was the I'm too old that hurt my feelings."

Barcelona sporting director Deco has provided an explanation for the club's decision to reject the permanent signing of Marcus Rashford, in favour of bringing in Anthony Gordon.
Winger Rashford of course spent the duration of last season plying his trade on loan in Catalunya's capital. The Englishman, for the most part, enjoyed an impressive stint in Blaugrana colours, racking up 28 goal contributions across all competitions.
After lengthy deliberation heading into the summer, however, the Camp Nou brass made the call not to make Rashford's move a permanent one.
Instead, they turned focus towards deal for fellow countryman Anthony Gordon, despite Newcastle's considerably steeper asking price.
Speaking during an appearance in front of the media this week, the aforementioned Deco was therefore asked for the first time exactly why he and his team of directors opted for Gordon over Rashford.

Block has applied to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for a national trust bank charter, the payments company behind Square and Cash App said on Tuesday.
Builders Bank & Trust would be uninsured and non-depository, taking no deposits and making no loans. Its business would be custody of Bitcoin and other digital ***** ets, executing customer buy and sell orders on a riskless principal basis, and stablecoin settlement.
Block has run digital ***** et services for about eight years under more than 50 state money transmitter and virtual currency licenses, the application says, handling around $10.7 billion in Bitcoin transaction volume in 2025 and serving about two million monthly crypto users through Cash App by the second quarter. A federal charter, Block says, would let it support those activities "through a consistent national framework as the business scales."
Builders Bank would be headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with no branches. All five proposed directors live elsewhere, and Block has asked the OCC to waive the rule requiring one to live within 100 miles. Lee Woolley, Block's digital ***** et strategy lead and a former Northern Trust and BNY Mellon executive, would chair it and serve as chief executive.
Dorsey himself is not among the organizers, directors or senior executives, and appears in the filing only as Block's co-founder. The business plan and capital figures went in as confidential exhibits, and the bank cannot open unless the OCC approves.

Australia's Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) has cancelled the registration of C&N Southwest Sydney after finding serious breaches in professional conduct and determining that the company no longer met registration requirements.
The tax watchdog's investigation concluded that C&N Southwest Sydney director Elle Ristevski, along with de facto and shadow director Peter Ristevski, were no longer "fit and proper persons", a statement said.
According to the TPB, the Sydney-based company violated 12 provisions of the code of professional conduct.
The investigation found evidence that the business gave false or misleading information to the TPB during its inquiries.
The board also found that false or misleading information had been supplied to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). The information was used to support clients in appointing 'straw directors'.

Ameresco insiders have been buying into a steep decline instead of waiting for the chart to improve. Form 4 filings show open-market purchases of roughly $1.9 million since August 7, including about $738,000 over the latest one-week sequence. CEO George Sakellaris accounted for approximately $574,000 across several purchases. Directors Brian ***** , Jennifer Miller, and Joseph Sutton also bought shares of Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE:AMRC). The cluster spread the bullish signal across four insiders rather than one executive.
The timing is interesting because the stock had fallen about 28% over six months. Ameresco develops energy infrastructure, including efficiency projects, renewable ***** ets, battery storage, and power systems that can support data centers. Its opportunity is not to predict which AI model wins. It is to help customers build the electricity and resilience those models require. Second-quarter revenue rose 9.1% to $515.5 million, showing that the operating business was still expanding during the selloff.
Insider buying is a useful signal, but it is not a guarantee. Executives may have long time horizons, personal tax considerations, or confidence that does not translate into near-term returns. Ameresco's projects carry construction, financing, customer-concentration, and execution risk. Diluted EPS of $0.18 fell 25% year over year in Q2, demonstrating that higher revenue does not automatically deliver better profitability. Large AI-related power awards can also produce uneven working-capital needs before cash arrives.
The hedge-fund picture was weaker than the insider activity. Insider Monkey tracked 17 hedge funds holding Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE:AMRC) in Q2, down from 22 in Q1. Millennium Management sharply increased its position by 490% to 1,487,282 shares, however, making the quarter more nuanced than the falling holder count suggests. One large buyer can coexist with broad caution.
Short positioning reinforces that caution. At the August 14 settlement, 4.51 million shares were sold short, equal to about 15% of the reported float and 5.36 days of average volume. The insider cluster suggests people closest to the company see value after the decline. A durable rebound still requires Ameresco to turn AI-power demand and project awards into margins, cash flow, and a balance sheet investors can underwrite without heroic ***** umptions.

US-based electric utility PG&E and its subsidiary the Pacific Gas and Electric Company have announced a strategic review of the organisation's energy business structure and financing, alongside plans to defer approximately $2bn in planned investment in 2027.
The company stated that the moves are intended to help maintain essential safety investments and compliance standards while reducing near-term borrowing costs for California customers.
A newly formed Strategic Review Committee made up of four independent directors from PG&E's board will lead the review.
The committee will evaluate regulatory, financial, operational and strategic alternatives to determine the best organisation and financing structure for the company.
PG&E said the review will include consultations with regulators, policymakers and stakeholders in California and focus on achieving a financially sound, investment-grade status.

JetBlue Airways (JBLU) is heading into a more significant phase of its comeback without one of the activist investors who helped alter its board.
Carl Icahn sharply cut his JetBlue position, selling roughly 8.13 million shares for about $40.4 million between Aug. 17 and Aug. 20, regulatory filings show. The transactions reduced the Icahn Group's interest to around 3.32%, or about 12.5 million shares, from over 10% when the activist investor initially revealed his position in 2024.
That's more than some spring cleaning.
Icahn's smaller stake fell below the amount needed to retain board presence at JetBlue. Jesse Lynn and Steven Miller, directors supported by Icahn, resigned both effective Aug. 24 after the group's ownership fell below the appropriate level, the airline said in an Aug. 27 filing with the SEC.
It is interesting timing for investors. JetBlue is aiming to show that its JetForward turnaround will restore sustainable profitability after years of strategic missteps, excessive expenses, and a failed attempt to combine with Spirit Airlines.

Lottomatica just pushed its chips into the middle of the table. By swallowing Cirsa, it gets Spain, scale and a bigger global seat. Investors, though, are already arguing over who got the better hand.
Lottomatica has agreed to absorb Spanish rival Cirsa in an all-share deal that will create the world's second-largest listed gaming and sports-betting operator.
The transaction values Cirsa at about €2.8 billion, or roughly $3.2 billion. Cirsa shareholders will receive 0.668 newly issued Lottomatica shares for each Cirsa share they own. When the deal closes, current Lottomatica shareholders will own about 67.5% of the combined company, while Cirsa shareholders will hold around 32.5%.
Blackstone is staying firmly at the table. The private equity group, which controls Cirsa through LHMC Midco, is expected to own about 24% of the enlarged company, making it the biggest individual shareholder. It will also have the right to appoint two directors to a 13-member board.

The cast of "Practical Magic 2" continued their witchy style streak at the film's Los Angeles premiere held at the Directors Village on Monday night. Nicole Kidman debuted couturier Pieter Mulier's inaugural design for Atelier Versace, Sandra Bullock opted for Louis Vuitton and more designer pieces hit the event.
Mulier, who left Alaïa for Versace in January 2026, created a dress for Kidman that merged the method dressing witchy style cues of her previous looks for the film, and also teased his vision for the Italian luxury fashion house. Though "The Hours" Oscar-winner certainly led the high-fashion brigade alongside Bullock, young stars Maisie Williams and Joey King conjured their own respective style statements. First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS, NASDAQ:PHOS, FRA:KD0, OTCQX:FRSPF) said shareholders re-elected all five board nominees and approved an advance notice policy at its Annual General and Special Meeting, as the company's registered shareholder base grew 861% over the past year.
The company reported voter turnout of more than 34% at the meeting, held August 28, 2026, with all board nominees receiving support above 95%.
First Phosphate said its shareholder count reached 12,501 as of the record date for the 2026 meeting, up from 1,301 a year earlier, an increase of 861%. The figures, drawn from the company's transfer agent registrar and beneficial shareholder data from Broadridge, do not include any growth since the company's recent Nasdaq listing.
The company said the growth in its shareholder base reflects a positive sign of maturation in its corporate development, which it attributed to successful financings, management's commitment to results, and a broader understanding and appreciation of the company's vision, initiatives and opportunities among both retail and institutional investors.
Shareholders also approved fixing the board at five directors, the appointment of Davidson & Company LLP as auditor, and the re-approval of the company's omnibus equity incentive plan, each drawing support above 96%.

As we head into the final day of the transfer window, the Enzo Fernández situation remains unresolved. It's only been going on for the whole summer, after all (if not longer), so there's been hardly any time to get it done, right?
Our (former?) Vice-captain has been training with the team, but he's been held out of our first three games, either at his own request or by the coach's decision or by the sporting directors', or by a combination of all. Chelsea tried to set a deadline before the start of the season for Manchester City (or any other team) to bid, but all that's done is make it even more frustrating that we're still in limbo. That deadline was then retconned to be a deadline for "bids of (at least) £120m", which just means that we now have to talk about a fee as well.
But, at long last, we are actually talking, club-to-club through official channels, as per all the usual talking heads at the transfer rumor mill content farm, like Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, and all the rest.
Whether these talks will lead to anything here on the final day is anyone's guess. Romano is just playing up the drama as usual, but Ornstein, speaking on BBC Sport, claims that Chelsea would only really consider doing business if we could somehow come out ahead not just in the books but on the pitch as well. And that would mean getting someone in to replace Enzo in some way, shape, or form. But links with Lamine Camara of AS Monaco, Manu Koné of AS Roma, and Alex Scott of AFC Bournemouth have all led to the same narrative dead end, and now there's hardly any time left.
Forcing players to stay is never a good idea, but sometimes it's not the worst thing.

At first blush, there's nothing connecting the businesses of **** e Exploration Technology (NASDAQ: SPCX) and Hershey (NYSE: HSY). One makes **** ecraft, AI technology, and operates the Starlink satellite telecommunications network. The other makes candy bars. But when you dig into the ownership structure, you start to see the connection. Here's what you can learn about **** eX from Hershey.
The CEO is likely to have the most influence on a business, but there are limitations. That's because the CEO actually works for the board of directors. And the board of directors is hired by the shareholders. So, if anything really big is going to take place, such as a merger or acquisition, the largest shareholders will have an important say. In the case of consumer staples maker Hershey, the largest shareholder is The Hershey Foundation.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
The Hershey Foundation has said no to multiple takeover offers. The foundation uses the dividends it collects from owning Hershey stock to support its philanthropic endeavors, so it is acting to protect the reliable income stream it receives. That may or may not be in the best interest of shareholders, noting that a buyout could lead to a sizable capital gain. But the real takeaway is that Hershey is beholden to The Hershey Foundation in important ways, as the foundation controls 80% of the company's voting power.
Elon Musk controls 48.4% of **** eX's voting power. That's not as much control as The Hershey Foundation has at Hershey, but it is close enough to 50.1% to give him effective control over all decisions. Add in that he's the CEO, and Musk's position of power gets even stronger. If you own **** eX, you are effectively investing alongside Elon Musk. What he wants to do is almost certainly going to get done. Mergers, acquisitions, and major capital investments are his to decide because it would be hard, if not impossible, for the board or shareholders to muster the votes needed to oppose Musk.

On August 10, TPG Mortgage Investment Trust, Inc. (NYSE:MITT) and Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment Corporation (NYSE:CHMI) announced a definitive merger agreement in which MITT will acquire CHMI. Under the cash-and-stock deal, CHMI stockholders will receive 0.3063 shares of MITT common stock and $0.93 in cash per share, implying a value of $3.10 per CHMI share based on August 7 closing prices. This represents a 29% premium to CHMI's unaffected price and a 32% premium to its 30-day VWAP. Unanimously approved by both boards and slated to close in Q4 2026, the combined entity will operate as TPG Mortgage Investment Trust under CEO T.J. Durkin, expanding MITT's board to eight with two CHMI independent directors.
Following the announcement, Citizens downgraded Cherry Hill Mortgage from Outperform to Market Perform on August 11, removing its price target and noting that CHMI shares are now fairly valued around the $3.10 implied buyout price.
11 Tips to Get Approved for a Mortgage
In Q2 2026, TPG Mortgage Investment Trust, Inc. (NYSE:MITT) demonstrated stronger underlying financial execution. MITT reported GAAP net income of $0.29 per diluted share and Earnings Available for Distribution (EAD) of $0.24 per share, fully covering its $0.24 dividend. Book value rose to $10.00 per share with an economic return on equity of 2.7%. Its total investment portfolio stood at $7.7 billion with low economic leverage of 1.8x.
Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment Corporation (NYSE:CHMI), by contrast, generated GAAP net income of $0.04 per share and EAD of $0.15 per share, which fell short of covering its $0.10 quarterly dividend without factoring in preferred obligations. CHMI's GAAP book value ended at $3.16 per share, while its portfolio leverage was significantly higher at 5.02x. MITT clearly enters the deal from a position of relative operational stability, better dividend coverage, and lower balance sheet leverage.

Sebastiano Esposito has officially joined Sassuolo on loan with option to buy for a total €12m plus add-ons, while Cagliari receive Riccardo Ciervo as part of the deal.
The centre-forward had not played at all for the Sardinians this summer, as he was involved in a bitter contract dispute following the activation of the obligation to buy from Inter at €4m.
He abandoned the pre-season training camp, although insisted that it was in accordance with the club directors, then presented a series of medical certificates to cover his on-going absence.

On August 19, Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) announced that its board of directors had declared a quarterly dividend of $2.47 per share on common stock. The payment is scheduled for September 16 to all shareholders of record on August 31.
This is the same level as in the prior quarter, when the dividend was increased 7% from $2.31 per share to $2.47. The company has been raising the payout ever since 2004. This is a steady cadence, most occurring in the month of May instead of sequential ****** ps.
Given the recent quarter's diluted EPS of $7.68, the dividend figure translates to a payout ratio of 31%, leaving ample room to further increase dividends ahead without straining earnings.
Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) beat ****** ysts' estimates for both sales and earnings per share during the second quarter as ongoing geopolitical conflicts drove sustained demand for weapons.
After the robust results, the company lifted its sales and adjusted profit guidance for the full year. It now expects sales in the range of $43.75 billion to $44.25 billion, up from earlier projections of $43.5 billion to $44 billion. Adjusted EPS is forecast between $28.60 and $29.10 per share, up from $27.40 to $27.90.

On August 5, General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE:GD) announced that its board of directors had declared a regular quarterly dividend of $1.59 per share on common stock. The payment is scheduled to be paid on November 13 to all shareholders of record on October 9.
The company has increased its annual dividend every year since 1999, according to its dividend payout history available on the website. This is a run of nearly three decades that has weathered recessions, a pandemic, and several defense spending cycles.
The recent dividend announcement, when calculated against Q2's diluted EPS of $4.24, translates to a payout ratio of 38%, which means that the company is returning well under half of its earnings to shareholders, leaving room to keep raising the dividend.
General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE:GD)'s stable dividend payout ratio is evidence against concerns from skeptics about the payout streak running out of gas. It is far from the ceiling, allowing management to continue increasing dividends even if earnings growth slows down.
Rising global defense spending and recent contracts, such as the $1.3 billion Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) award earlier this month, position the company well for earnings growth.

Classification cutoffs for several sports were updated by the Illinois High School ***** ociation board of directors at its meeting this month. Changes take effect for the 2027-28 school year.
The IHSA's newly revised policy gives schools plenty of notice after moving to annual classification cycles and fixed enrollment cutoffs that began in 2025-26.
"When revamping the Classification Policy in 2024, one of our goals was to provide member schools with one year notice in advance of any class cutoff changes to help them prepare accordingly," IHSA executive director Craig Anderson said in a release. "All the changes approved today will go into effect during the 2027-28 school year."
The board also changed its policy to be set at the nearest 25 students as opposed to only the nearest 50 or 100 due to declining enrollment membership.
"The overall enrollment within our membership is currently declining," Anderson said in a release, "so it makes sense to lower some of these cutoffs to keep in line with that trend. The data shows us that the majority of schools who are moving up in classification were competing in that same class just a year or two ago."

The Magnum Ice Cream Company has welcomed a US court decision narrowing a lawsuit brought by former Ben & Jerry's independent directors over the ice-cream brand's activism and changes to its governance.
Judge Kevin Castel of the federal court in Manhattan on Friday threw out most of the claims brought by former Ben & Jerry's independent directors, dismissing seven of the ten counts and trimming another.
He also held that Magnum, the Amsterdam-headquartered ice-cream business created from Unilever's spin-off last year, should stand as the main defendant in place of the FMCG conglomerate.
The case was filed by former Class I directors linked to Ben & Jerry's independent board.
It accused Unilever and Magnum of breaching commitments dating back to the UK-listed group's 2000 acquisition of the US ice-cream brand, under which Ben & Jerry's retained unusual protections around its board structure, social mission and foundation.

Directors at four Federal Reserve regional banks voted to increase the primary credit rate in the days before the Fed's July meeting, discount rate minutes released Tuesday showed, providing fresh evidence of how divided the central bank was heading into that decision.
The directors of the Cleveland and Minneapolis Fed banks voted on July 16, 2026, and the directors of the Kansas City and Dallas Fed banks voted on July 23, to set the primary credit rate at 4%, a quarter-percentage-point increase from the existing level of 3.75%. The Board of Governors took no action on those requests and approved maintaining the rate at 3.75%.
At the July 28–29 joint meeting of the Board and the Federal Open Market Committee, policymakers voted to keep the federal funds target range at 3.5% to 3.75%. Three FOMC members dissented, according to Reuters. Regional Fed bank directors have no role in setting the federal funds rate and hold no FOMC seats, but they convene regularly with their bank presidents and those presidents say the directors' perspectives inform their own policy thinking.
Notably, Kansas City Fed President Jeff Schmid lacked a voting seat on the FOMC this year, according to Reuters, so his bank's directors pushed for a rate hike at a meeting where he was unable to cast a dissenting vote himself.
At the July 20 Board meeting — held the week before the FOMC convened — directors at ten Reserve Banks had voted to keep the primary credit rate at its existing level. Only the Cleveland and Minneapolis boards had at that point voted for an increase, and the Board took no action on those requests then either.

Super Micro Computer (SMCI) is moving past another major governance overhang after completing an independent investigation into an alleged Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) chip diversion scheme. On Aug. 20, Super Micro announced that the probe, led by independent directors Scott Angel and Tally Liu and conducted with Munger, Tolles & Olson and forensic consultant AlixPartners, found no evidence that current senior management knew about the alleged diversion scheme or any actual diversion of restricted products. The company also said it found no evidence that Super Micro directly sold export-controlled products to known restricted parties or that its previously issued financial statements could not be relied upon.
The investigation followed the March 19 indictment of two Super Micro employees and a contractor in connection with an alleged scheme of Nvidia-powered artificial intelligence (AI) servers that prosecutors say were diverted to China through intermediaries. Super Micro itself was not named as a defendant and said the three individuals no longer have any relationship with the company.
