The forgotten man in the Cleveland quarterback rotation is forcing himself into the conversation by performing well in practice. But Dillon Gabriel has yet to officially enter the competition to win the starting quarterback job with the Browns.

INDIANAPOLIS — Watch out college sports. IU Indy is building a "jewel box" of an arena to establish itself as a premier mid-major program.
Athletic director Luke Bosso, IU Indy architect Brett Hatchett and RATIO Architects President Bill Browne gave a guided tour of the under-construction James T. Morris Arena on Wednesday.
The new facility will open in the fall and will be the home court for the school's basketball and volleyball teams. Known as "The Jim," the arena pays tribute to Jim Morris, the late longtime civil and local business leader and former vice chair of Pacers Sports and Entertainment.
The 130,000-square-foot venue will seat 4,200 people and serve as the office **** e for IU Indy athletics and USA Track and Field. The arena features retractable seating, which allows IU Indy to host community events and high school sports.
"Whether it's our friends across the street, the high school athletic **** ociation, the NCAA or other events that 4,200 is the right number for, we want people using this building just like they do every other building," Bosso said. "This is the sports capital of the world and this is another part to keep that attitude and that mindset going within the city."

Justin Axel has been hired as Salisbury University's new head men's lacrosse coach, the school announced on Tuesday.
Axel, a Salisbury alum who has served as an **** istant coach for the Sea Gulls during two different stints, will be taking over as head coach after longtime head coach Jim Berkman announced his retirement in June.
"This is a special moment for Salisbury men's lacrosse, and Justin is the right person to lead the program forward," Salisbury University Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation Monica Polizzi said in a statement. "He understands what makes Sea Gull lacrosse different because he has helped build its championship tradition for more than a decade. Justin brings championship experience, proven leadership and a deep commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the field. We are confident he will continue the standard of excellence that has made SU one of the premier programs in collegiate lacrosse."
Under Berkman's leadership, Salisbury's men's lacrosse team became one of the premier programs in Division III, winning 13 national **** les. Now, Axel will look to continue that success as the new head coach.

According to reports, five Wall Street firms have already signed up for the service, gaining access to Truth Social posts milliseconds before the general public.
"I'll be blunt," Gian Luca Clementi, an economics professor at NYU Stern School of Business, told Fortune. "This is insider trading by definition."
Because Trump owns roughly 41% of the company's shares, he stands to directly profit from the new recurring revenue stream. At five subscribers alone, the service would generate about $500,000 in monthly revenue, or $6 million annually.
That figure is modest by the standards Trump has set since returning to the White House. His 2025 financial disclosure showed his businesses generated more than $2 billion in personal income last year—nearly quadruple his 2024 total—with the bulk flowing from ventures that sit directly at the intersection of his office and his balance sheet. It is not often that TSMC (TSM) takes cues from Intel (INTC), but that is undoubtedly what's happening. According to The Information, the world's largest contract chipmaker is quietly building a new packaging technology modeled on Intel's EMIB. TSMC's own engineers are reportedly calling the project "EMIB-like" in-house. The company is developing it with a Taiwanese substrate maker, Kinsus Interconnect Technology. Following the report, TSMC's U.S.-listed shares rose about 8%, while Intel climbed roughly 11% on July 30. For a company that usually defines the industry's direction, TSMC borrowing ideas from Intel is worth a closer look.

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) displayed significant top-line performance on July 27, generating the highest quarterly revenue in the company's history for Q2 2026. Total revenue increased by 20% year-over-year and 15% sequentially to $207.4 million, exceeding the ****** yst forecast of $198.3 million. The product revenue segment, which includes memory interface chips related directly to server and AI data center installations, increased 22% year-over-year to $99.2 million, owing to the rollout of complete DDR5 9600 chipsets and growing server-memory content.
Management supported this momentum with optimistic third-quarter 2026 guidance that projected revenue between $210 million and $216 million, and GAAP diluted EPS of $0.59 to $0.67. This outlook was further bolstered by recent operational achievements, including the early commercial adoption of its DDR5 9600 chipsets and a significant HBM IP design win with a Tier-1 hyperscaler.
Despite record revenue and strong forward guidance, Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) shares fell as much as 20% in the sessions following the earnings announcement, with gross margin developments and evolving financial profiles driving institutional selling. Product gross margin landed in the low-60% area during the quarter, within management's 60% to 65% long-term target, though drifting toward the lower end due to product mix variations and supply chain cost pressures. More significantly, the trailing-twelve-month net margin decreased from 35.5% in the previous year to 31.7%.
Valuation multiples bring further scrutiny to these margin worries. Even after the 20% decline, Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) trades at a high forward price-to-earnings multiple of 24.27x. This marks a considerable premium to more mainstream AI semiconductor leaders like Broadcom (19.92x) and NVIDIA (20x). The Institute for Supply Management said its manufacturing PMI rose to 55.6 in July, up 2.3 percentage points from June's 53.3 and the highest reading since May 2022, when the index hit 55.9. The sector has now expanded for seven consecutive months following a 10-month contraction. Readings above 50 indicate growth.
Economists had forecast the index would rise to 54.0, according to Yahoo Finance.
The production index drove much of the gain, jumping 6.3 percentage points to 58.5 — its highest level since November 2021. After 33 months in contraction, the employment index crossed above 50 for the first time, climbing to 52.8 from June's 49.7. New orders grew for a seventh straight month, with the New Orders Index edging up to 56.7 from 56.0. The Backlog of Orders Index rose 4.5 percentage points to 55.0, and the New Export Orders Index returned to expansion at 53.0, its highest since March 2022.
Susan Spence, chair of the ISM Manufacturing Business Survey Committee, said the July result reflected broad-based momentum, with four of five PMI subindexes growing at a faster rate than in June. "My gut is, it's not just a one or two month trend," Spence told Bloomberg. "Companies are seeing six or more months of these solid demand factors going in the right direction."
Fifteen of the 16 manufacturing industries ISM monitors expanded during the month, with Chemical Products alone reporting a contraction.

A documentary centered around the history of the "Cradle of Coaches" from Miami University will be released on Aug. 17
The Crade of Coaches is the nickname given to the expansive coaching tree of the Miami football program, ranging from legendary Ohio State coach Paul Brown to current NFL coaches John Harbaugh and Sean McVay.
The term was coined in 1959 by Bob Kurz, a former Miami sports information director, referencing the coaching network of the RedHawks. The Cradle of Coaches ***** ociation was founded in 1992 to formally recognize each coach's accomplishments. The latest inductee was McVay in 2017.
The documentary will feature a wide range of interviews, including the late Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz. According to a release, the film will also include "never-before-seen" archival footage and audio recordings of Brown, who led Ohio State to its first football national championship in 1942. Brown was also the founder and first head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
"The timing for this documentary couldn't be more perfect. We have successfully captured rare, first-hand interviews with the individuals who lived it — those who played for, coached with, and worked alongside the greatest legends in collegiate and NFL history, spanning over a century," David Sayler, the director of athletics at Miami, said in a release.

Aug 4 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President Anna Paulson said on Tuesday she was keeping an "open mind" about what lies ahead for monetary policy in an outlook that could call for higher rates.
"The recent improvement in some inflation data is welcome" and "it is a step in the right direction, but it is only one step," the official said in a statement from her bank.
When it comes to what the central bank will do next with monetary policy in the current environment, Paulson said: "I am committed to keeping an open mind as I ***** s the evidence and determine the appropriate path for policy."
"My highest priority is delivering 2% inflation while sustaining full employment," she added.
