Through a dozen preseason practices, Texas A&M's loaded wide receiver rotation is one of the team's biggest strengths heading into the 2026 season, even after losing KC Concepcion to the NFL, who led the Aggies with 919 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns last season. Now led by star junior Mario Craver, fellow junior and former five-star prospect Terry Bussey has shined during fall camp and could be headed toward a career year.
After the Aggies' closed practice on Friday, Bussey, for the first time during fall camp, spoke to the local media in attendance, discussing his weight gain, adding a solid 10 pounds, mostly muscle, to his frame, which was necessary given his injury history that kept in him behind the 8 ball after suffering an ankle injury this spring, and was beat up for most of the 2025 season.
Bussey's play during several preseason practices has provided Aggie fans and those of us in the media with a highlight reel of one-handed catches, while his route running has been crisp and equally impressive, and coach Mike Elko and first-year OC Holmon Wiggins, who served as A&M's wide receivers coach over the past two seasons, have consistently praised Bussey's football IQ.
Bussey's elite versatility provided Mike Elko the option for him to play at corner or wide receiver, and given the former blue-chip prospect's size and natural playmaking ability, playing receiver was the best route. Right now, Bussey is contending for the starting Z receiver job with redshirt sophomore Ashton Bethel-Roman, but is expected to be a significant part of each offensive game plan no matter his starting or reserve status.
Bussey spoke for nearly eight minutes, looking more confident than ever, while praising several of his wide receiver cohorts who continue to build chemistry with quarterback Marcel Reed, who is entering his second full starting season.

Uncrowned has PFL Tampa live results, round-by-round updates, highlights and start time for the Cris Cyborg vs. Ketlen Vieira fight card on Saturday night at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida. An all-time MMA great, reigning PFL featherweight champion Cris Cyborg looks to add to her legendary résumé with what could be her swan song in the sport. For Vieira, an upset win is the only thing up for grabs after she missed weight by seven pounds on Friday, making her ineligible to claim the **** le.
Cyborg (29-2) has mostly turned her attention to the boxing world since Bellator was acquired by the PFL in late 2023, though the "grand slam" MMA champion has also successfully secured PFL **** le victories against the likes of Larissa Pacheco and Sara Collins. Much has been made about the Vieira fight being Cyborg's last in MMA, but the merger between PFL and Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions has opened the door to new opportunities for Cyborg, regardless of whether she wins or loses.
Vieira (16-5) enters her would-be PFL **** le shot in her promotional debut after parting ways with the UFC earlier this year. The longtime bantamweight contender last scored a unanimous decision victory against Jacqueline Cavalcanti in May, finishing out her UFC contract. She went 10-5 in her decade-long stint with the organization.
PFL Tampa: Cyborg vs. Vieira begins at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with the main card starting at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Follow along with Uncrowned's live PFL Tampa results, highlights and live blog below, including round-by-round play-by-play of the Cyborg vs. Vieira main event.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped a 17-0 decision to the New York Jets in their second NFL preseason game on Friday, Aug. 21 at Acrisure Stadium.
It was a bad night for starting quarterback Will Howard, who threw a pair of interceptions in Jets territory to end promising drives.
The offense as a whole wasn't much better. The running game averaged just 3.8 yards per carry and no wide receiver totaled more than 32 yards. The defense had its moments, but gave up an opening-drive touchdown to Jets starter Geno Smith.

Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has on Friday continued to etch his name ever further into the history books of modern football.
This comes courtesy of his exploits in the Portuguese's first appearance of the new campaign in the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Nassr continued the defence of their SPL **** le this evening, making the trip to Al-Riyadh for a Matchday Two clash. The aforementioned Ronaldo, after sitting out the opening round of action, was forced to make do with a spot on the bench from the off in Riyadh.
After being introduced to proceedings during the 2nd-half, though, the veteran frontman wasted little time in making his presence felt.
En route to an eventual 4-0 Al-Nassr romp, Ronaldo rounded out the scoring late on, swivelling inside the penalty area before slotting home a fine left-footed finish.

When the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Asante Samuel Jr., the move was largely viewed as an opportunistic depth addition to bolster the secondary. However, as training camp rolls on, the former second-round pick is quickly proving that his ceiling in Pittsburgh extends far beyond a traditional backup role.
Through the early weeks of camp in Latrobe and into the preseason opener, Samuel has put together a dominant stretch of play. His crisp coverage and knack for shutting down opposing receivers have sparked serious conversations about how the coaching staff can fit him onto the field alongside starters Joey Porter Jr. and Jamel Dean.
Speaking on the "Locked on Steelers" podcast, host Christopher Carter highlighted how Samuel's impressive performance gives defensive coordinators a unique blueprint to optimize their lineup.
"He has been lighting it up. He has been shutting it down. He had a great first preseason game," Carter noted. "He has the opportunity, in my opinion, to shake things up because he can be the guy that gives the Steelers confidence that, you know what, we got to put him at in the starting rotation somehow."
Rather than forcing Samuel into a rigid reserve position, Carter suggested that using him on the perimeter allows Pittsburgh to unleash three elite cover men simultaneously while unlocking greater scheme flexibility for veteran stars like Jalen Ramsey.

Perez Hilton now has a court-approved path to see his three children while his mother holds temporary legal custody, but the visits come with significant conditions.
New court documents obtained by TMZ show that Hilton may have supervised visitation with his children only after receiving psychiatric clearance. Any visits must then be overseen either by a family member agreed upon by both Hilton and his mother or by a therapist.
The order comes nearly two weeks after Hilton's mother, Teresita Lavandeira, filed for temporary custody following the Aug. 4 mental health crisis that led to her son's hospitalization. Hilton consented to the temporary custody arrangement.
The ruling establishes a controlled way for contact to resume while Lavandeira handles major decisions for the children and Hilton continues receiving inpatient medical and mental-health care. The supervised arrangement will remain in place until a judge orders otherwise or Hilton and his mother mutually agree to a different arrangement.
The same order formally grants Lavandeira temporary legal custody of Hilton's three children. It notes that Hilton is their only legal parent and that he consented to the arrangement.

Micky van de Ven has been appointed Tottenham's new captain, Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed.
The Dutch centre-back, who agreed a new long-term contract earlier this month, replaces Cristian Romero after his move to Atletico Madrid last week.
Van de Ven forms part of a five-player leadership group alongside Pedro Porro, Ben Davies, James Maddison and 20-year-old Archie Gray. Gray could wear the armband at Brentford on Saturday, as Van de Ven and Porro are not ready to start.
De Zerbi said: "The new captain is Micky van de Ven. The second Pedro Porro, the third Ben Davies, the fourth James Maddison and the fifth Archie Gray.
"Why five captains? Just because I want many captains inside of the pitch and to be clear in the position.

The bond market has been sending a warning signal this summer. On Wednesday, the Treasury Department responded.
After a bond market selloff drove long-term U.S. bond yields to their highest level in years, the Treasury Department announced today that it is at least doubling its planned buybacks of longer-term government bonds, from a maximum of $2 billion to at least $4 billion. The change will start on September 9 and run through November 4, the day after the midterm elections.
"This administration needs a win and maybe that comes in the form of artificially trying to keep long Treasury rates contained," Jack McIntyre, a portfolio manager at Brandywine Global Investment Management, told Bloomberg. "They have to try something. Sentiment around the long-end globally is about as bearish as I have seen in a very long time."
The surprise announcement came just weeks after the Treasury Department had issued its quarterly "refunding" announcement, detailing its near-term debt-management plans. That suggests that the recent bond selloff really did set off some alarm bells at the Treasury, which said in its announcement that its move is meant "to provide greater liquidity support" at the long end of the bond market.
The announcement had the desired immediate effect of lowering longer-term yields, which had been rising because of concerns about persistent inflation and higher oil prices due to the war with Iran as well as worries about the U.S. budget deficit and rising debt. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury, which had been just under 4% at the end of February, topped 4.7% earlier this week, a sizable move for the bond market. And the 30-year Treasury yield this week reached its highest level since June 2007, before the financial crisis of 2008 sent interest rates plunging toward zero. Both fell back on Wednesday following the Treasury Department's announcement.

Jennifer Lopez hasn't given up on finding love, but she is taking a far more cautious approach, requiring the men she dates to undergo strict vetting and agree to a set of non-negotiable rules, a source tells Globe.
"J. Lo used to be the most forgiving person when it came to the men in her life," says the source. "They would get 10, 20 chances to mess up, but not anymore. One mistake, one comment she doesn't like, really anything that turns her off, and they are out, no second chances."
The 57-year-old singer has been married four times to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony — father to her 18-year-old twins, Max and Emme — and Ben Affleck.
"She is very wary of being used," the source explains. "Any man that goes on a date with her is going to get a huge publicity boost and it will mean all sorts of potential embarrassment for her if it doesn't last, so her new rule is that it's all got to be totally under the radar."

Arsenal start the defence of their Premier League ******* le on Friday night, and the expectation is obvious. They have already brushed aside Manchester City in the Community Shield, winning 3-0 in Cardiff, and now they open at home against promoted Coventry. Same sky-blue shirts, very different level of threat.
Mikel Arteta's side go into the new campaign as favourites for good reason. They won the league by seven points last season, ended a 22-year wait for the ******* le, and reached the Champions League final. The immediate task is simpler, start fast, stay in control, and avoid handing a newly promoted team encouragement.
Coventry arrive with a different kind of momentum. Frank Lampard guided them back to the top flight after a 25-year absence, and they did it emphatically. While ******* nal finished seven points clear at the top of the Premier League, Coventry won the Championship with 95 points, nine ahead of Ipswich. Promotion earned them a place here, now comes the difficult part.
Arsenal still have defensive issues to manage. William Saliba is set for a lengthy spell out, while Jurrien Timber remains unavailable with a groin problem. That leaves Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera continuing in the back line, with Ezri Konsa still waiting to complete his £51million move from Aston Villa.
There should also be changes from the side that beat City. Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice both began on the bench in that 3-0 win, but are expected to return to the starting XI here. That matters. ******* nal are a different side when both play from the first whistle, one gives them incision, the other gives them authority.

Atletico Madrid are moving with some urgency in the transfer market, and Nicolas Jackson has emerged as a serious target. According to Marca, Mateu Alemany travelled to London on Thursday in an attempt to push discussions forward for the Chelsea forward, with Atletico seeking attacking help after an injury to Alexander Sorloth and with Julian Alvarez still short of top condition.
This is the sort of deal that makes sense on several levels, even if the mechanics look awkward. Atletico want another forward, Jackson knows Spanish football, and Chelsea have a squad that still feels crowded in key attacking areas. The issue, as ever, is cost. Atletico have already stretched themselves after the Cristian Romero deal, reported as £33 million plus £7 million in variables, so any move for Jackson appears dependent on favourable terms.
That means a loan is the obvious route, with Atletico reportedly hoping Chelsea would cover part of the player's salary. In plain terms, they want quality without paying the full freight. Clubs across Europe are trying the same trick, because the market is inflated and proven attacking players are expensive.
Marca's report places Jackson among the preferred options inside the Metropolitano. There are other names under consideration, but his profile is clear. He has pace, he attacks **** e, and he already showed in Spain that he can trouble defenders at a high level. His rise at Villarreal earned him a move to Chelsea for around £37 million after Bournemouth failed to complete a transfer for him earlier in that season.

Freight broker insurance is in a frenzy, and premium hikes are getting ugly. Thom Albrecht helps break down how the CH Robinson verdict, underwriting pullback and cargo theft are driving double-digit to triple-digit cost increases for brokers. He also explains what's changing in excess liability, why some underwriters are exiting the market, and what carriers and brokers should watch into peak season. If you move freight, this is a real cost story—not noise.
Freight broker insurance has entered a full-blown pricing crisis, with excess liability coverage costs rising 50% to triple digits and even primary coverage climbing sharply in the double digits — all since a pair of legal shocks hit the market this spring. The turmoil is forcing brokers to rethink coverage limits, vendor technology relationships, and renewal strategies ahead of what ***** ysts expect will be a prolonged inflationary environment.
The disruption unfolded in three phases, according to Thom Albrecht, who discussed the market dynamics during this SONAR Market Update. The first was "total chaos" following the Montgomery Supreme Court decision on May 14, which exposed brokers to motor-carrier-style liability. A brief calm in June ended abruptly on July 23, when the C.H. Robinson verdict — a $135 million judgment — rattled underwriters again. "We've seen two underwriters exit the market, basically backing the paper over in London," Albrecht said. "So there's gonna be fewer options, a very inflationary environment, and there's gonna be more questions that are asked of freight brokers than ever before as they go through their renewals."
On primary coverage — the first $5 million of freight broker auto liability, or FBAL — Albrecht said increases are running in the "middle" double digits, well above 10% but short of 90%. For excess or surplus coverage above $5 million, the picture is far worse. Smaller brokers with gross revenues of $30 million to $40 million that were paying roughly $10,000 a year for coverage could now face bills of $30,000 to $40,000. Larger brokers seeking excess capacity above $5 million are confronting 50% to 60% increases at the low end and triple-digit hikes at the top.
"The word to use is it's a total frenzy right now," Albrecht said, describing the post-verdict insurance environment for freight brokers.

Rewind a few weeks and Liverpool were facing a centre-back crisis.
Virgil van Dijk didn't travel for the preseason tour to the United States leaving head coach Andoni Iraola with a dearth of viable options.
Jeremy Jacquet was still struggling with injury - along with Giovanni Leoni - while Joe Gomez's injury on tour added to the problems.
With Ibrahima Konate departed for Real Madrid we saw Mor Talla Ndiaye, Ifeanyi Ndukwe and even Luke Chambers all entrusted with starting duties.
Given Ndukwe wouldn't be eligible for the season ahead owing to visa issues this was a far from ideal scenario. But the picture has eased somewhat since then.

In 2009, the Brazilian knocked out American Gina Carano to win the Strikeforce featherweight ***** le in a landscape-shifting moment for MMA.
The fight was the first women's ***** le bout to headline a major event and was broadcast live on primetime TV in America.
It was also the first women's MMA bout to feature five, five-minute rounds instead of three, three-minute rounds.

US national debt hit a record $40tn (£29.3tn) as Donald Trump launched a major intervention in the bond market to calm investors after a global sell-off.
America's gross federal debt surpassed the milestone earlier this week, data from the US treasury showed on Wednesday, coinciding with a bond market crash that pushed government borrowing costs to multi-decade highs.
The US national debt has risen by $3tn in the past 12 months, raising fears about higher spending under Mr Trump.
It came as the US treasury said it would pump billions of dollars into the bond market after fears about inflation and surging government debt propelled borrowing costs to their highest level since the financial crisis.
In a move to calm increasingly volatile bond markets, the treasury said on Wednesday that it would double the amount available to buy long-dated US treasuries to $4bn (£3bn).

NEW YORK, Aug 19 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Wednesday revived an investor lawsuit over the 2023 collapse of Signature Bank, saying the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC) seizure of the lender did not take away shareholders' right to sue.
In a 3-0 vote, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan rejected the FDIC's argument that a 1989 law adopted in the wake of that decade's savings-and-loan crisis gave the regulator sole power to pursue securities fraud claims after becoming the receiver of a failed bank.
The decision is a victory for shareholders led by the Swedish pension fund Sjunde AP-Fonden, which accused seven former Signature executives and directors and Signature's former auditor, KPMG, of misrepresenting the bank's liquidity risks and risk management, inflating its share price. Their proposed class action sought compensation for their losses.
The FDIC declined to comment. Lawyers for the shareholders did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Regulators closed Signature on March 12, 2023, after worried customers withdrew several billion dollars, or about 20% of its deposits following the collapse of the larger Silicon Valley Bank two days earlier.

More than a few observers at one of BYU's preseason training camp practices last week had to scramble to find their rosters after a defensive back picked off a ball intended for receiver Reggie Frischknecht.
Who's No. 15?
That would be cornerback Jayven Williams, a transfer from Mobile, Alabama, by way of Kennesaw State and the SEC's Mississippi State who, surprisingly to some, chose BYU for his final season of college football eligibility. Williams, 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, has turned some heads in camp with his playmaking ability and outstanding speed.
Returning starters Tre Alexander and Evan "Shmev" Johnson seemingly have the starting cornerback spots locked up, but keep an eye on Williams as a guy who could see considerable playing time in the secondary.
Redshirt junior Kevin Doe and redshirt freshman Jordyn Criss are also in the mix, said new BYU cornerbacks coach Lewis Walker after spring camp. Sophomore Jonathan Kabeya is still in the rehab process as the Cougars look to replace Mory Bamba, now a member of the New York Jets.

What do you do when you achieve something you've wanted for most of your life? That question is pertinent for ****** nal this season. This group of players have done something many of them have wanted to do since they first started playing football. But for many fans, the first ****** le in a generation begs the same question. Will it all mean the same?
A fair warning: this is going to be a lot of navel gazing. This is the first real ****** le that I've wanted. When ****** nal won the league in 2004 it was the third time of my life, the second time in 3 years, and at 10, I just ****** umed it was a thing that happened, like visiting your grandparents. I've written about this before but essentially, it took until I was 13 to realize, no, ****** nal don't win the league every season…and 19 years later ****** nal finally won the league I've wanted us to win. Wanting something for 19 years is interesting in terms of development. Wanting ****** nal to win the league has seen me from ****** rty, school, university, a graduate degree, a second graduate degree, and a career. I've lived in multiple places, but the one constant–aside from some of my best and closest friends–has been wanting ****** nal to win the league. It's been achieved. How do you go again?
For the players, I think it's simple. They'll want more. Bruno Guiamares hasn't won a league ****** le. Nor has Ezri Konsa. Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard, and Kai Havertz all have more to give. And the group will want to go again, to become talked about in the way that teams like Manchester United were talked about and to prove bitter, small time people, like the Athletic's Manchester City stenographer Sam Lee, wrong.
And for the fans, I think it'll be similar. First of all, ****** nal have a chance to retain a ****** le, something that hasn't been done since the 1930s. And secondly because when you win, you want more. I've been more rational this summer, calmer during other football matches because I feel satisfied. This season will be different: the conditions that led to the explosion of joy at the end of last season won't exist (unless ****** nal win the Champions League), because ****** nal aren't coming off of a 22-year gap. And maybe the feeling of 19 May means that when ****** nal drop points in November it won't feel like an existential crisis, because the pressure to win, especially after 3 second place finishes, won't be overwhelming. Perhaps that'll be the biggest difference: instead of feeling a deep need to win, to fulfill a lifelong dream, to end the ****** jokes from colleagues and the stupid second again ole ole chants, the desire to win will be because I've loved the feeling of being Champions and want to feel it again next May.

HONG KONG (AP) — Hong Kong conglomerate CK Hutchison said Thursday it was seeking more than $1.5 billion in damages from Panama after the country seized two canal ports caught in the crosshairs of U.S.-China tensions.
CK Hutchison said in the statement that it had begun new arbitration proceedings against Panama and alleged that the Central American country had breached an investment protection treaty through "sovereign acts that targeted a decades-old ports concession" in a "state attack campaign" on the company's ****** ets in the Central American country.
Panama's government in February seized the Balboa and Cristobal ports, located on each end of the Panama Canal, after its Supreme Court that a concession held by CK Hutchison's subsidiary to run the two ports was unconstitutional.
The two ports at each end of the Panama Canal became part of U.S.-China tensions since Donald Trump's return to the White House last year after he alleged China of "running" the canal.
The Panama Canal is managed and owned by Panama. But CK Hutchison's subsidiary Panama Ports Company had run the two ports on the canal from 1997 and had renewed its concession for 25 years in 2021.

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — Six million people in Somalia are facing acute food insecurity while the World Food Program has only a tenth of the resources it had in 2022 when it helped avert famine in the drought- and conflict-stricken East African nation, the head of the U.N. agency told The ******* ociated Press.
"We can only do the bare minimum," WFP acting executive director Carl Skau said Wednesday during a visit to a nutrition center on the outskirts of the capital, Mogadishu. "We're only providing these nutrition supplies to the children that are really the worst hit."
The reduced funds, because of cuts in international aid by donors and the redirection of resources to other humanitarian crises, meant that the WFP is unable to expand its ******* istance in Somalia, Skau said.
The WFP projects that 1.9 million children under age 5 in the country will suffer acute malnutrition this year, including nearly 500,000 who will require urgent treatment for severe acute malnutrition. Overall, around 30% of the population faces critical levels of food insecurity, the U.N. has said.
"We had 10 times more resources than now," Skau said of the 2022 hunger emergency that was caused by a prolonged drought. "We were able to step in, and we prevented a famine here in Somalia."

Ketlen Vieira was a top-ranked bantamweight in the UFC ever since she beat Sara McMann and Cat Zingano nearly a decade ago, and stayed among the elite until the UFC decided not to offer her a new deal following a win over Jacqueline Cavalcanti this past May. For Vieira, it's still hard to wrap her head around that"unbelievable" call.
It didn't take long for Vieira to find a new home, signing with PFL to face their featherweight champion Cris Cyborg in the main event of PFL Tampa on Aug. 22. Moments away from one of her ultimate dream fights, Vieira opened up on the "mix of feelings" of leaving the UFC after a decade in the promotion.
"I was already expecting it because usually we renew a contract before the final fight," Vieira told MMA Fighting. "When 'Dedé' [Andre Pederneiras] told me they wanted me to have my last fight, I already found it a little strange and was kind of expecting it. But it was still a huge surprise to me because I've been a top athlete in the division for many years."
"What I'm about to say isn't me being arrogant or anything, and I even apologize for saying it," she continued, "but I'm much better than many of the fighters who are there at bantamweight. It's kind of unbelievable that they wouldn't renew my contract when there are many other fighters there who aren't on my level, you know? But I always put my life in God's hands, and He's the one who decides, and He guided me toward what I wanted, which was a ******* le shot."
Vieira won 10 of 15 fights in the UFC cage between 2016 and 2026, topping the likes of Holly Holm, Miesha Tate and suffering defeats only to the best of the bantamweight division, including future champions Kayla Harrison and Raquel Pennington.

BEIRUT (AP) — A Canadian government official condemned what he called Israel's "unlawful invasion" of Lebanon, saying Beirut should govern its own ******* e and have sovereignty over its lands.
Randeep Sarai, Canada's secretary of state for international development, visited Lebanon to announce new humanitarian aid to the crisis-hit country, where the U.N. says some 360,000 people remain displaced as a result of the latest conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
"We have been working actively, I think, through diplomatic channels to do whatever possible to stop that and to allow Lebanese communities that are from those areas to be able to move back," Sarai said in an interview with The ******* ociated Press late Tuesday.
The latest Israel-Hezbollah war started when Hezbollah fired rockets into northern Israel on March 2, two days after the U.S. and Israel began attacks on Iran. The war has killed over 4,000 people, caused wide destruction in southern Lebanon and at one point displaced over 1 million people.
Israel launched a ground invasion and is now occupying dozens of towns and villages in southern Lebanon, many of which have been almost completely demolished. Israeli officials have said they will not pull out from Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed.

Perez Hilton has been granted permission to see his children while his mother has temporary custody.
Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that a judge has granted Hilton visitation with his three children, on condition that he is supervised by either a family member agreed upon by both parties or a therapist.
Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, must first obtain psychiatric clearance. The supervision order will stay in place until the court orders otherwise, or Hilton and his mother both agree to a different arrangement.
The judge officially granted Perez's mother, Teresita Lavandeira, temporary legal custody of his children: son Mario Armando, 13, and daughters Mia Alma, 11, and Mayte Amor, eight. The order notes that Hilton, as their only legal parent, consented to the arrangement.
Lavandeira now has authority over major decisions for the children's care, including medical care and school enrolment.
Lavandeira filed for temporary custody after Perez was hospitalised earlier this month following a mental health crisis at his Florida home.

Andy Burnham has blamed Donald Trump's war in Iran for higher inflation in Britain.
Inflation jumped from 2.6pc in June to 2.9pc last month, according to the Office for National Statistics, threatening to undermine Mr Burnham's pledge to bring down the cost of living.
The Prime Minister said: "We can't control though what is going on in the Middle East and the effect of the conflict there is now being felt in inflation here, and in other countries around the world.
"I realise these times are really hard but already people can see a month into office I have done things that will make a difference."
July's inflation figure was affected by a 13.5pc rise in the Ofgem price cap in response to the energy crisis unleashed by the Iran war. It means prices are now rising at their highest rate since March.
