Coat season is here, and while autumn may have some reaching for their trench coats, Kylie Jenner just put her stamp of approval on another trending outerwear style: the car coat.
The it-girl approved staple has been having quite a moment. With its easy, light fit, mid-length design, and sleek silhouette, it makes for a totally versatile piece that goes well with just about anything. The style was born in the 1900s, and its name came as it was designed to allow easy movement for its wearer while driving or using transportation.
Now, decades later, the car coat has found its way to the hottest runways: Prada, Dries Van Noten, Lemaire, Meryll Rogge, and Tory Burch, to name a few. Even Burberry, best known for its polished khaki trenches, has reimagined the car coat with funky prints for the modern It girl (or It boy).

The question for Canada Goose Holdings Inc. (NYSE:GOOS) is whether luxury pricing and direct distribution can absorb the added cost without weakening demand.
The duty applies to the customs value of covered products, making product-level exposure—not U.S. revenue alone—the key number. Canada Goose Holdings Inc. (NYSE:GOOS) generated C$385.1 million in the United States during fiscal 2026, equal to 25.2% of C$1.53 billion in total revenue.

Canada Goose is selling off its performance footwear brand after only eight years of ownership.
On Wednesday, the outerwear company said it entered into an agreement to sell Baffin Limited to L.P. Royer Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of work and military footwear. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the company noted that the transaction is expected to close this month, subject to customary closing conditions.
