Relations between PSG and Real Madrid have turned sour in recent years, and the ongoing transfer window has only made matters worse.
The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga was the first to break bridges between the two clubs, and PSG even attempted to sign Vinicius Jr. at the time as revenge for Los Blancos signing their best player as a free agent.
This summer, the club went after PSG's top transfer target Yan Diomande after the French club reached an agreement with him, and stole him away in broad daylight. Furious at the development, the Parisiens contacted Real Madrid target Rodri hoping to steal him.
As reported by Diario AS now, PSG did indeed make a call to Rodri offering him a move to Paris this summer. They persuaded the player and attempted to convince him to put aside his dream of joining Real Madrid.

Of course, they were swept by the then-defending champions, but that was not something people expected. With Devin Booker playing as the superstar, his supporting cast was quite impressive, as Dillon Brooks played borderline All-Star hoops and Jalen Green showed out when he was healthy.
Now that Miles Bridges is on the Suns, he has an interesting outside perspective. Like most people before the 2025-26 season, he also thought the Suns would struggle after making the Durant trade for both Brooks and Green.
However, that panned out well for the Suns because it showed that having a more cohesive team alongside Booker was a good decision. Head coach Jordan Ott was also a big deal for Phoenix because he was an upgrade from Mike Budenholzer.

Bridges said he was grateful to the Hornets for giving him a second chance after his legal issues. He said it's his job to not only earn the trust of the fans but also his new teammates. "I definitely want to earn the trust of my teammates first," Bridges said. "Making the locker room comfortable, having guys that want to be around me ... is huge. And that definitely goes into on-the-court stuff."

"We feel very comfortable with the overall, all the different aspects of the trade, getting another first-round pick back. I remember multiple years ago, the question was we have no first-round picks, but that pick that we are acquired, we're now gonna have seven straight years of first-round picks. Who would have thought it? And an additional second-round pick in that as well. I think the one thing you have to look at when you're talking about an unprotected versus these favorable among two teams and different things like that, we're always gonna be good. So where are our draft picks gonna be? Especially with the new rules and all those different things? That pick value down the road was not the same as it was a year ago because of the changes in the draft lottery and different things like that. So we felt very comfortable. US stock futures edged higher as chipmaking equipment producer ASML (ASML) sent a bullish signal on AI demand and investors awaited a second batch of inflation data to follow Tuesday's soft consumer price report.
Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (YM=F) rose above the flat line, while those on the S&P 500 (ES=F) gained 0.2%. Nasdaq-100 (NQ=F) futures added 0.5% as stocks looked to build on gains from the day before.

A football fan who has taken a large homemade flag to eight FIFA World Cups is "living his best life" after witnessing England beat tournament co-hosts Mexico.
Paul Green, 68, a retired print worker from Upwell, Norfolk, close to the Cambridgeshire border, first took his distinctive Wisbech flag, adorned with the St George's Cross and Norwich City emblems, to the World Cup in Spain in 1982.
Green and his trusty flag, which he estimates has travelled "around 50,000 miles" (80,000km) in 44 years, have been to all five England fixtures at the 2026 competition.
He has spent £9,000 pre-booking tickets for all potential England games. "As long as they keep winning, I will be there," he added.
Optimistically, his flight home is scheduled for two days after the final.

Now that Giannis Antetokounmpo is with the Miami Heat, the expectations are high for them. He is now part of a strong frontcourt with Bam Adebayo, which makes them quite possibly the best partnership of its kind in the NBA.
This puts a spotlight on the rest of the team, which is pretty underwhelming when compared to the supporting cast of star duos in the league. The New York Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder immediately come to mind, and this Heat team has a supporting cast that is far from the league's top teams.
The Eastern Conference is much better than advertised, especially with how the Knicks dominated on their way to a championship. Since they won the **** le, other teams in the East have made strides with their roster construction. The Philadelphia 76ers look like legitimate threats now, but the same could be said about the Heat.
Unfortunately, they are a bit top-heavy with Adebayo and Antetokounmpo leading the way. They have a decent supporting cast, but they do not have the ceiling that other teams have. The likes of Andrew Wiggins and Davion Mitchell is alright, but they don't hold a candle to players like OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges today.

The Knicks’ offseason has been relatively quiet thus far. They traded their first-round selection in the NBA Draft, instead ending up picking twice in the second.
Free agency has been similar so far. New York has seen one major departure and made one notable addition — both at center. Meanwhile, it brought back some role players from its championship-winning team.
The good news is the Knicks’ entire starting five — Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges — is under contract for the upcoming season.

Brandon Aiyuk keeps burning bridges.
He may have burned the one bridge that would have led him to the Commanders — his former Arizona State teammate.
Earlier today, after posting an item regarding whether the Commanders have interest in Aiyuk, someone in a position to know a little something about the situation pointed out that the Commanders would indeed pursue the 49ers receiver, if quarterback Jayden Daniels wants Aiyuk on the team. And it was believed that Daniels did indeed want Aiyuk.
Then, all ***** broke loose on social media.
Aiyuk, as many have noticed, unfollowed Daniels on Instagram. Then, Aiyuk posted on his Instagram story a couple of videos directed at Daniels.

In my opinion, he needs to make a statement after the World Cup to try and mend some bridges but a couple of good performances and the majority will forget all about it.
It also goes to show the influence that people like Fabrizio Romano have. If talks with Xhaka have managed to convince him to stay, he was never as desperate for the move as Fab made out.
Just another example of why this type of thing needs to be stopped.

PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a $13 million, two-year deal with veteran guard Luke Kennard, a person with knowledge of the deal said on Tuesday night.
The person spoke to The ***** ociated Press on condition of anonymity because the deal — which includes a player option for the second season — cannot be signed yet.
The 6-foot-5 guard has consistently been one of the most accurate 3-point shooters in the NBA, hitting 44.2% of his attempts over a nine-year career. He spent time between the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers last season, averaging 8.4 points.
Kennard replenishes some of the outside shooting the Suns lost over the weekend when they dealt Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale to the Charlotte Hornets for forward Miles Bridges.
The Suns finished with a 45-37 record last season and were the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference for the playoffs before getting swept in the opening round by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
