FC Bayern Women kicked off 2026/27 pre-season with a 4-1 victory over RB Ōmiya Ardija at the NACK5 Stadium in Tokyo as part of their Allianz Women's Tour. Pernille Harder and Jovana ******* janović gave Germany's double winners the advantage in the first half, before Katharina Naschenweng added a third in the second period. Minami Munakata's header earned the hosts a consolation before Alara's penalty in added time wrapped things up in ******* an. Sarah Mattner, Kassandra Potsi, Ella Rauscha and Regina van Eijk all made their debuts for Bayern during the game.
Bayern got off to the better start in their first game of the new season in hot summer temperatures. José Barcala's side controlled proceedings before Momoko Tanikawa dribbled her way through the home defence and looked for Harder, who couldn't make the chance count. The Dane made no mistake at a corner a minute later as she was found at the far post and pounced on the bouncing ball to open the scoring.
Damnjanović had a great opportunity to double the lead after 19 minutes when played clean through by Harder, but she was unable to beat goalkeeper Yuria Ito. Klara Bühl got into the action when she struck the crossbar with a shot from the edge of the box.
Bayern remained on the front foot but Ōmiya had some promising moments, mainly through Hanon Nishio's three efforts off target. The Munich Frauen finally stretched their lead on the stroke of half-time when Tanikawa found ******* janović to finish at the far post.
Barcala made some changes for the second half but it didn't change the pattern of play. Nishio remained a lively outlet for Ōmiya, but she was well marshalled by captain Glódis Viggósdóttir and the defence. A Bühl corner was met by the head of Magdalena Eriksson but failed to hit the target, before Tanikawa won a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area but couldn't beat the jumping wall.

Former Monaghan forward Stephen Gollogly has passed away at the age of 41.
Gollogly was part of the Monaghan side who secured Ulster ****** les in 2013 and 2015 and also won Allianz Football League medals in Division Two and Division Three.
Alongside his 14-year inter-county career, he played his club football for Carrickmacross Emmets.
Monaghan GAA said in a statement that he represented the county with "immense pride, commitment and distinction".
"A true servant of the county, he made 133 competitive appearances in the white and blue between 2004 and 2017 contributing 3-71 and earning the admiration and respect of teammates, opponents and supporters alike," the statement continued.

FC Bayern have extended Erblin Osmani's contract early on. The 17-year-old midfield talent joined the record champions' youth academy when the campus opened in 2017 and has since progressed through all the youth teams.
Osmani joined FC Bayern's academy from TSV Milbertshofen's U9 team. Last season, he initially played for the U17s, then also for the U19s, and in March, in the Bundesliga home match against Union Berlin (4-0), he made his debut at the Allianz Arena under head coach Vincent Kompany. He is initially slated to play for the U19s next season. His new contract will automatically convert into a professional contract upon his 18th birthday.
Bayern Munich director of youth development Jochen Sauer is happy to see Osmani stick with the club.
"Erblin is a native of Munich and a true FC Bayern homegrown talent. He has already made his debut with our first team and we are convinced of his further development potential. We are delighted that Erblin will also take the next steps with us," Sauer said.

Americans are less concerned about dying and more perturbed by the financial implications of remaining alive.
That's one finding from an annual survey by the Allianz Center for the Future of Retirement. It found that 67% of Americans worry more about running out of money than death.
"It's running out of money," said Kelly LaVigne, vice president of consumer insights at Allianz, speaking to USA TODAY in April. "It's not being able to afford healthcare. It's not being able to afford long-term care."
The Allianz survey, released in April, asked Americans to choose the bigger of two worries: death, or running out of money. In five recent annual surveys, "running out of money" has always won. This year, the margin was higher than ever. The survey reached 1,000 adults ages 25 and over with household incomes of at least $50,000 or investable ***** ets of at least $150,000.
There are several reasons, both economic and socioeconomic, why Americans may be worrying more these days about outliving their money. People are living longer. Inflation is running high. The costs of health care and long-term care are rising. Fewer workers are retiring with pensions that provide a guaranteed income stream.

In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey stated that Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to re-sign Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring him back to England, but are facing competition from Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race to land the England international.

Terem Moffi (27) has returned to OGC Nice following the expiry of his loan at FC Porto, however, it has been made clear to him that his future does not lie at the Allianz Riviera.
Moffi was one of two players to leave the club following an episode back in November. Upon the return of Le Gym's team bus, following a defeat against FC Lorient, fans attacked players and staff. Moffi was a particular target of the fans' ire and he, alongside Jérémie Boga, was put on sick leave.

He was present for the return to pre-season training on Wednesday and is under contract until the end of the season.
Nice are desperate to offload him, however, as new sporting director Roger Ricort made blatantly clear. "He is one the list of players we want to leave. He will surely be transferred elsewhere," began Ricort, who has succeeded Florian Maurice in the role.
He continued, "We don't necessarily respect the man but we will respect the player. At the moment, he knows that he won't be able to play for Nice any more, either. I think that would show a lack of respect to our supporters, but so long as he is here, we will try and be proper with him and his agents. When he finds a club, we will shake hands and wish each other good luck."

Recent reports claimed that the Frenchman was willing to reduce the salary he currently earns at PSG in order to facilitate a return to Italy, and Tuttosport now claims that there is a full agreement on personal terms in place for a five-year deal worth around €5m per season in wages.
This would make Kolo Muani the third-highest earner at the club behind Kenan Yildiz and Jonathan David ****** uming that he stays at the Allianz Stadium.
