Solana ranks most likely to 10x by 2030, needing to grow from $70B to $700B, which is the smallest market cap target of the four cryptos.
Bitcoin's 10x demands a $16.9T market cap, which would be nearly 60% of all gold ever mined, making it the least likely to achieve the milestone.
Expanding token supplies in Solana and XRP could dilute gains, while Bitcoin's 21M cap and Ethereum's fee-burning mechanism favor long-term price.
Building a portfolio and living off one are two completely different skills, and almost ***** ody teaches the second. This problem is what The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income helps, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)
Investors in Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC), Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), XRP (CRYPTO:XRP), and Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) often hear predictions that their coins could 10x by 2030. However, what a 10x increase means varies greatly between these cryptocurrencies. For Solana, it would mean growing from a market cap of approximately $70 billion to $700 billion. For Bitcoin, it would need to rise from $1.69 trillion to nearly $17 trillion—almost three times the value of Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), currently around $6 trillion.

The price of Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) and other cryptocurrencies strengthened heading into the weekend after a volatile week dominated by an interest rate hike from the U.S. Federal Reserve
On the afternoon of Sept. 18, Bitcoin was up 6% and trading at $80,850 U.S. The largest cryptocurrency had been trading near $75,000 U.S. on the eve of the U.S. interest rate decision on Sept. 16. Other digital ****** ets were gaining strength at week's end, with Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH) also up 6% and Solana's (CRYPTO: $SOL) price rising 11%.
It's proving to be a quick recovery for digital ****** ets after the U.S. central bank raised its trendsetting Fed Funds Rate by 25 basis points, its first hike in three years. Crypto appears to be staging a relief rally as the market welcomes slightly higher interest rates that are used to dampen inflation.

Interested in Upexi, Inc.? Here are five stocks we like better.
Upexi strengthened its balance sheet and cut costs by extinguishing about $20 million of debt, refinancing at a lower 7.5% interest rate and reducing its workforce to 10 employees from 59.
The company held approximately 2.34 million Solana tokens worth $165.3 million at June 30, with 95% staked; the treasury generated $17.4 million in digital-asset revenue but incurred $195.1 million in unrealized and $11.7 million in realized losses.
Fiscal-year net loss widened sharply to $246.1 million from $13.7 million, while stockholders' equity fell to negative $53.8 million, largely due to digital-asset losses, higher interest costs and stock-based compensation.
Upexi (NASDAQ:UPXI) said it strengthened its balance sheet, reduced operating expenses and continued to build its Solana treasury during fiscal 2026, though declines in digital-asset values drove a substantially wider full-year net loss.

Crypto volatility is likely to remain elevated as investors weigh the Federal Reserve's monetary policy decision and the CLARITY Act's failure to advance in a key Senate procedural vote, according to Simon-Peter Massabni, head of business development at XS.com.
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) fell more than 2.5% to around $75,600 on Tuesday, while Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH), Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL), Cardano (CRYPTO: $ADA) and Dogecoin (CRYPTO: $DOGE) also traded lower.
The Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act was a major source of market uncertainty. Senators voted 49-50 on Tuesday, falling well short of the 60 votes required to move the legislation forward. The bill aims to establish a federal framework for digital ****** ets and clarify the regulatory roles of the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Crypto markets and related stocks moved lower Tuesday as investors braced for two major Washington catalysts: a Senate vote on the CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision Wednesday.
Bitcoin was trading around $76,431, down 2.19% over 24 hours, while Ether fell 1.8% to roughly $2,449 and Solana dropped 1.02% to about $100. The total crypto market capitalization declined 1.2% to $2.61 trillion.
Derivatives traders were also caught in the selloff. Roughly $384 million in crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours, including about $195 million in longs and $189 million in shorts, while nearly $160 million was wiped out over the previous 12 hours.
Crypto-linked stocks were hit harder.

Forward Industries (NASDAQ: $FWDI) has raised its takeover offer for SkyAI (NASDAQ: $SKYA), proposing a deal that would value the Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL) treasury company at a 50% premium to its latest closing price.
Forward said Tuesday that it had delivered an updated non-binding proposal to acquire all outstanding SkyAI common stock. Under the new terms, SkyAI shareholders would receive the value of 0.306 shares of Forward Industries for each SkyAI share, with investors able to choose cash, Forward shares, or a combination of both.
Based on Forward's $6.95 closing price on Monday, the proposal values each SkyAI share at about $2.13, compared with SkyAI's $1.42 close. Forward has asked SkyAI's board to respond by September 25. The proposal remains subject to regulatory approvals and a shareholder vote.

Nasdaq-listed DeFi Development Corp (NASDAQ: $DFDV) has increased its Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL) treasury by 55,491 SOL, bringing its total holdings to about 2.39 million SOL and SOL equivalents.
The company said Monday that its treasury has grown roughly 2% since August 27 as it resumed regular Solana purchases and continued generating yield from its holdings. DeFi Development Corp is now the second-largest public-company holder of Solana after Forward Industries.
Alongside the treasury increase, the company established a $300 million at-the-market offering for its CHAD perpetual preferred stock. Solana (SOL) has been trading relatively range-bound lately, but bulls have managed to defend the $100 psychological threshold ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision.
The macroeconomic backdrop continues to be challenging for cryptocurrencies, as inflation in the United States is nearly 200 basis points higher than the central bank's target.
Odds of a rate hike in September have now jumped to 62%, up from a recent low of 50%. Meanwhile, the Treasury Department's decision to triple its bond buybacks did little to change the market's cautious attitude.
As a result, the latest crypto rally has stalled, with SOL experiencing a mild 0.7% advance in the past 7 days.
However, an on-chain metric seems to be indicating that a massive price move is about to take place based on historical patterns.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) has jumped by 4% in the past 24 hours, following the listing of a popular memecoin called USELESS, whose trading volumes has exploded recently.
This Solana-based memecoin has jumped by 15% following its Hyperliquid listing, while volumes have increased by 30% to $173 million.
Such levels account for 56% of the ****** et's circulating market cap, reflecting the strength of the buying pressure.
USELESS has seen its price explode by 683% as the token went viral on social media and started to gain traction among retail investors quickly.
Hyperliquid's listing looks like a strategic move to capitalize on its rising popularity and significant volumes.

Useless (USELESS), a Solana-based memecoin, has surged more than 900% from its August low to trade near $0.337 on Wednesday, its highest level since October 2025.
In my view, these gains won't hold for too long, which may lead USELESS down at least 50% from its current levels. Let's examine.
USELESS's one-week liquidation heatmap shows a large imbalance in leveraged positions, with substantially more long positions exposed below the current price than short positions sitting above it.
If USELESS extends its rally to around $0.347, roughly $540,000 worth of ****** ulative short positions could be liquidated, according to CoinGlass data. That is relatively small compared with the downside exposure.
A decline toward $0.10, for instance, could wipe out nearly $6.70 million in ****** ulative leveraged long positions. In other words, traders betting on further gains currently have far more capital vulnerable to forced liquidation than bears betting on a decline.

Solana (SOL) has gone up by 44% in the past 30 days, and bulls have managed to defend the $100 psychological support in the past few days, as demand seems resilient to macroeconomic woes.
Trading volumes jumped by 64% in the past 24 hours, after the token bounced strongly off the $100 threshold. At $3.5 billion, this level of activity accounts for nearly 6% of the ****** et's circulating market cap.
Last week, after a brief drop to 50%, the odds of a rate hike in September by the Federal Reserve jumped back to 58%, following a better-than-expected jobs report in the United States.
However, President Donald Trump has addressed Fed officials directly, and the rhetoric between the White House and the country's central bank seems to be getting heated.
Trump's administration is pressuring the Fed to lower rates during the next FOMC meeting, but the latest minutes indicate that the Committee is actually leaning toward a rate hike.

Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) rose 5.5% to $81,491.82, Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) rose 5.2% to $2,511.01, and Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) rose 5.9% to $105.30 as of early evening on Sept. 3. The total crypto market cap increased 4.7% to $2.82 trillion as crypto risk appetite returned.
Bitcoin retook the $81,000 mark for the first time since May as cryptocurrency markets benefited from concerns about rising bond yields and lower odds of a Federal Reserve rate hike. Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he would support leaving rates unchanged as long as there's not a dramatic shift in inflation figures.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs inflows improved, with around $101.1 million in net inflows yesterday, led by the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT). Ethereum ETFs broke a 12-day winning streak of inflows yesterday, but today's data may show institutional funds returning.
Bitcoin has gained almost 27% in the past month as confidence returns to the market -- the crypto fear and greed index, which measures investors' mood, has moved from extreme fear a month ago to greed today. The lead crypto isn't close to retaking its all-time high just yet, but the rapid recovery is a reminder to long-term investors that crypto winters do pass and that sentiment can quickly swing from gloom to optimism.
That said, cryptocurrency prices remain susceptible to macro factors in the near term. The recent rally was helped by bond market turmoil and concerns about the value of the U.S. dollar, but inflation, interest rates, and the tensions in the Middle East could all weigh on investor confidence. Particularly as economists still think there's a 50.5% chance of a rate hike and higher rates tend to pressure riskier ***** ets like crypto.

Solana Foundation president Lily Liu has laid out the case for what she calls the "token supercycle", a long-term shift in which money, **** ets and ownership move onto blockchain infrastructure permanently, not as a trend but as a structural change in how markets work.
Solana is a high-speed blockchain network designed for fast, low-cost transactions. The Solana Foundation is the nonprofit organization that supports the network's development and ecosystem growth.
In an op-ed published Sep. 2, Liu argued that tokenization, the process of representing real-world **** ets like stocks, bonds or real estate as digital tokens on a blockchain, is not just another technology cycle but a fundamental reworking of who can issue, invest in and distribute financial **** ets.
Related: Billionaire says Bitcoin's next 3-year bull run has already begun

Solana (SOL) hit a sell wall at $110 and has been progressively retreating since then, as expectations concerning interest rates shifted in the past few days.
Following the Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole summit last week, ***** ysts revisited their projections for interest rate decisions for September, upping their odds of a 25 basis point rate hike from 36% to 66%.
This prompted a wave of selling that has pushed SOL down to the $100 psychological threshold. However, the token could keep dropping, as this price zone has not yet proven to be a contested level.
Trading volumes have been dropping in the past few days, heading down to $3 billion after temporarily hitting $8 billion on August 21.
This indicates that investors' interest in the token at this level is still weak. This could set the stage for a sustained decline to lower areas where a higher volume of buy orders may be sitting.

Cardano (ADA) continues to underperform its peers this year, as on-chain metrics continue to indicate that this former crypto darling meets all the criteria of a "zombie chain."
The native token of this blockchain has booked a 40% loss in 2026, dramatically lagging its former peers like Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL), both of which have managed to trim their yearly losses 17% as a result of the latest rally.
Market sentiment has improved in the past couple of weeks, as indicated by the Crypto Fear and Greed Index. This key gauge has jumped from a recent Neutral reading of 36 to 75 at the time of writing, indicating that investors are now in "Greed" mode.
Despite this shift in sentiment, ADA is not among the token that has managed to break above its 200-day exponential moving average (EMA), primarily as investors seem to be focusing on more mature projects that have demonstrated their real-world use cases.
This explains the huge performance gap between ADA and its peers. We can list a couple of red flags that may justify why market participants are shunning this token.

On Aug. 4, 2026, Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) broke its all-time record for activity on its blockchain, recording 169.9 million transactions, according to data from Blockworks. Breaking that record has happened repeatedly this year, even as the coin's price fell. As of Aug. 27, it's still 63% below its peak price in January 2025.
So is the coin worth buying now that it's clearly gaining some traction? Or is it better to sell it because its transaction activity hasn't been closely tied to its price this year?

One of the factors in favor of buying Solana on the basis of its increasing on-chain activity is that the composition of its transaction volume changed a lot this year. In doing so, it supported a core part of the bull thesis.
Tokenized stocks are essentially blockchain tokens that are backed by shares of public companies, and as a group, they're one of the most anticipated drivers of growth on Solana.

Solana (SOL) has bounced by over 70% from its June low of around $60 and is now testing a key support-turned-resistance area for a potential breakout toward $300.
As of Tuesday, Aug. 25, Solana was testing the $95–$115 range (S/R in the chart below) as resistance. The zone also overlaps with the 50-week exponential moving average (50-week EMA, the red wave) near $105 and the 200-week EMA (blue) around $111.
Between 2023 and early 2026, the same range served as a key support area for Solana. Bouncing from there led to a 200% price rally in 2024 and a 165% rally in 2025. Breaking below the same area followed a 50% decline in 2026.
A similar structure appeared in 2023 that led to a 1,000% SOL price breakout.
At the time, SOL spent months consolidating near the $20–$25 region before finally reclaiming it as support. The breakout marked the beginning of a major bull cycle, with Solana eventually climbing from around $25 to nearly $295.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposed its first permanent digital-asset rule to govern the crypto industry on Aug. 18, and the next day, President Donald Trump held the chief executives of the industry's biggest companies, specifically Coinbase Global, Ripple -- with its XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) -- and Robinhood Markets, at the White House for a summit. That gathering came on the heels of the Senate leaving town on Aug. 8 without voting on the Clarity Act, which many had **** umed would lead to the bill's chances of passage in 2026 becoming very slim.
In some sense, the summit might even have been a response to the sluggishness of Congress. White House crypto advisor Patrick Witt claimed that regulators in the executive agencies -- specifically the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) -- will "break glass" (i.e., use emergency mechanisms) if Congress didn't deliver on the Clarity Act. That could be imminent, so let's break down what's happening with crypto regulation outside of what's being debated in the Capitol.

Bitcoin (BTC) jumped 5.8% to levels above $69,500 on Wednesday, wiping out $1.23 billion in bets against it in one hour. Is the crypto bull market back?
The rally ran market-wide, with Ethereum (ETH) up 9% to $2,088, Solana (SOL) up 6.5%, and XRP (XRP) up 6.9%. One decision in Washington set it off.
The US Treasury said it will double its buybacks of long-term government bonds to at least $4 billion per operation. In plain terms, the government stepped in as a buyer of its own debt.
The timing couldn't be better for risk ******* ets. The 30-year yield, the interest rate the US pays on its longest debt, had just hit 5.337%. That was its highest level since 2007. The Treasury buyback announcement knocked it back to 5.192%.
Markets read the move as proof that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is watching borrowing costs. When yields fall, bonds pay less, and money hunts for returns elsewhere. Bitcoin sits near the front of that line.
