DEA agents are now ***** isting in the investigation(s) into Hayden Panettiere's death, TMZ has learned.
News of the agency's involvement comes mere hours after officers for the Greenville Police Department visited the family home of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson. Sources tell TMZ that the police department launched a separate and parallel investigation to the one already underway by the coroner's office, to determine the cause and manner of her death, which was deemed "unexpected" due to her age of 36. The DEA is reportedly helping out with both investigations.
When Panettiere's mother Lesley Vogel spoke out following her daughter's death, she was critical of her daughter's relationship with Hickerson. "This person in her life that we have been trying to get rid of for quite some time was with her at her death, and that was Brian Hickerson," Vogel said.
Panettiere was found unresponsive in her Greenville, South Carolina home on Sunday (Aug. 16). According to TMZ, Hickerson's brother Zach found the actress in cardiac arrest in a chair in the living room, while Brian was asleep in a separate bedroom. NEW DELHI, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely to attend next month's BRICS summit in New Delhi with a large delegation, three sources said, in what would be his first visit in seven years and a fresh sign of a thaw between the rivals.
India is hosting the September 12 to 13 summit, where Xi's presence would be watched less for the BRICS agenda than for what it signals about Beijing and New Delhi's efforts to stabilise relations after deadly border clashes in 2020.
"Chinese officials are busy finalising hotels and security protocols," one of the Indian sources with direct knowledge told Reuters.
Last year, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited China for the first time in seven years, but the relationship has only improved gradually. More recently, a fresh border-related dispute triggered sharp diplomatic exchanges between the two sides.

Lesley Vogel told The New York Times that Brian Hickerson took some of her daughter's treasured belongings and **** ed them before her death.
Hayden, who was found unresponsive by emergency services after a cardiac arrest on 16 August at the age of 36, had been estranged from her mother for some time, as detailed in the late actress's 2026 Memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning.
However, on Sunday, Vogel, 70, told The New York Times she had visited Panettiere in Los Angeles in 2025 when her daughter was battling her addiction demons.

The couple had just launched legal action against three major newspaper groups and had described in one statement "a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences." In their announcement about leaving, they devoted a lengthy and detailed explanation to how and why they were breaking free from the press rota system that covers working royals.
In the intervening six years, their strength of feeling has prevailed. "We all know what the British press can be like and it was destroying my mental health. I was like, this is toxic," Harry told James Corden in 2021. Meghan claimed in her 2022 interview with The Cut magazine that she would never be able to do school runs without being photographed in the UK. Harry's memoir Spare cemented the media as the real villain in his life. And in his most recent court case against the Mail newspapers, which he lost, Harry took to the stand and said, "They have made my wife's life an absolute misery, my Lord."
Yet, in the years since they stepped back, some things have changed when it comes to Harry and Meghan's relationship with the press. There was a declaration in 2022 that unnamed "sources" would no longer speak for them which eventually fell, without fanfare, by the wayside. After basing their PR team largely in the U.S., they hired a UK-based PR in 2024 and went on to take on their current spokesperson who is UK-based.

The Broncos had a rough outing in their preseason home opener against the Packers. And even though the 33-13 loss doesn't matter, coach Sean Payton wasn't happy with the performance.
"Obviously that wasn't good enough," Payton told reporters after the game. "There weren't a lot of things — I said this after the game. Just pick a topic. Pick penalties, we lose there, kickoff, kickoff return, we lose that battle. Rushing numbers, we lose that. We can't just say, 'Hey, this is preseason [game] two.' Each phase saw their share of what ended up being the final score. So tomorrow we've got to be able to come in, coaches the same way, and look closely at what we're doing and get the corrections made. You can't not pay attention to these games, these scrimmages, these important steps towards the start of the regular season."
Although he said quarterback Bo Nix's first game action since breaking an ankle in the divisional round was "solid" (he led a six-play 65-yard touchdown drive in in his only snaps of the game), Payton generally wasn't thrilled with the offensive output.
"We'll look at the tape, but we had too many minus plays, too many penalties offensively." Payton said. "I don't know how many third-and-10 or more we had, but quite a bit, right?"
Asked about whether Nix will play in the preseason finale, Payton revisited his frustration with the first-teamers.

Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Andy Pages suffered a left-hand contusion during the series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday, Aug 21.
He was hit by a 100.2 mph sinker thrown by Pirates right-handed pitcher Bubba Chandler in the third inning.
Pages did not initially leave the game after he was visited by manager Dave Roberts and a trainer.
The All-Star remained in the game before officially leaving in the fifth inning. He was replaced in center field by Kiké Hernandez.

An investigator revealed that Princess Diana would have been alive today if she had made a different choice. FOX's "Celebrity Crime Scene" used recreation technology to recreate the unfortunate Paris tunnel crash that ultimately claimed Diana's life on August 31, 1997. For those unversed, Diana was accompanied by her companion, Dodi Fayed, and their driver, Henri Paul, and she was only 36 years old at the time of her death.
Host and investigative crime journalist Jakson Buhaj, alongside British forensic psychologist Kerry Daynes and former U.S. Secret Service agent Rich Staropoli, revisited the tragic death on FOX's "Celebrity Crime Scene", special documentary.
Buhaj explained that had Diana done one thing differently, she might have possibly survived the fatal crash. He remarked: "It's very odd that no one was wearing a seat belt. You would think that [Dodi Fayed's bodyguard] Trevor Rees-Jones, who was sitting in the front seat directly ahead of Diana, would caution her that she should definitely put a seat belt on, considering the car is driving way over the speed limit. Yet no one thinks to do that."
Notably, three of the four people in the car, including Diana, passed away in the fatal car crash. Dodi Fayed's bodyguard, Rees-Jones, survived but suffered brutal injuries. There were rumors that Rees-Jones survived because he was wearing a seat belt. Investigators later revealed that wasn't the case. Randeep Sarai, Canada's secretary of state for international development, visited Lebanon to announce new humanitarian aid to the crisis-hit country, where the U.N. says some 360,000 people remain displaced as a result of the latest conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
"We have been working actively, I think, through diplomatic channels to do whatever possible to stop that and to allow Lebanese communities that are from those areas to be able to move back," Sarai said in an interview with The ******* ociated Press late Tuesday.
The latest Israel-Hezbollah war started when Hezbollah fired rockets into northern Israel on March 2, two days after the U.S. and Israel began attacks on Iran. The war has killed over 4,000 people, caused wide destruction in southern Lebanon and at one point displaced over 1 million people.

The Baltimore Ravens and USAA gave 100 Baltimore-area service members an opportunity to experience training camp from a different perspective Thursday. Military members from Fort Meade visited the Ravens' training facility for a day of competition featuring drills similar to those NFL coaches use to evaluate players.
Former Ravens punter Sam Koch, the Ravens Cheerleaders and Poe welcomed the participants before the competition began. Service members then tested their athletic abilities in the 40-yard dash, broad jump, three-cone shuttle, receiving gauntlet and quarterback arm challenge. A live leaderboard tracked individual scores throughout the event, adding another competitive element to the experience. Each member of the winning team received tickets to this season's Ravens Salute to Service game presented by USAA.

Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) held its first earnings call as a public company earlier this month, and Elon Musk set an aggressive target: an annualized revenue run rate of $100 billion by December, more than tripling the company's current run rate of just over $30 billion.
According to a Financial Times report, Deutsche Bank revisited that target after the results and mapped out the specific deals it thinks could actually get ****** eX there.
Musk insisted the number isn't a stretch goal, telling ****** ysts on the call that it's roughly what ****** e Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) would hit "if we basically did nothing" beyond letting existing deals ramp up. That raises the real question: is $100 billion really just a matter of contracts already in motion, or does hitting it require several fast-moving, unproven pieces to land at once?

Deutsche Bank's math shows real building blocks already in place. ****** eX's neocloud business, which provides AI compute capacity to outside customers, generated $1.6 billion in revenue in the second quarter, entirely from Anthropic. That single contract should take it to roughly $3.75 billion in quarterly revenue by the third quarter. A separate agreement with Google, worth up to $920 million a month, starts ramping next month and hits its full run rate in October. ****** e Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) has also signed a new $6.7 billion deal spanning six months that Deutsche Bank suspects could be with the U.S. government. The bank expects at least one more large compute deal to get signed before year-end.

The Valley's star and former Vanderpump Rules alum has recalled a terrifying experience she had with her 13-month daughter Kaia.
Kristen Doute shared a photo of Kaia with whom she welcomed with fiancé Luke Broderick in June 2025, informed her followers that her baby girl wasn't feeling well. She shared a photo of her daughter asleep in bed alongside a caption about her welfare.
"Little angel had a super high temp last night and we took her to the ER. this is the scariest part of being a mama," she wrote on Monday, Aug. 17.
Thankfully, she updated fans a day later that they had visited ER and "poor little thing has a UTI." The reality star added on her Instagram Stories."SO happy she's finally safe & asleep."

MOSCOW, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Russia delivered a strong protest to ****** an's ambassador to Moscow on Tuesday over what it called anti-Russian remarks by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in a dispute over a group of Russian-controlled islands off northeast ****** an.
Moscow's summoning of envoy Akira Muto is the latest development in a simmering row between the two countries after Russian President Vladimir Putin visited one of the disputed islands last week.
