Trinity Rodman did not need Ben Shelton to make a grand romantic gesture to leave a lasting impression on her.
Instead, it was something much more ordinary that convinced the US soccer star he could be a keeper.
When Shelton first visited Rodman, the pair had not met face-to-face before. Rodman had invited him to stay at her house for the weekend, but she admitted that waiting for him to arrive was an awkward experience. She decided to keep herself occupied before Shelton walked through the door.

Rodman revealed that she pretended to be busy breaking down boxes around her home while waiting for Shelton to arrive.
