Party of Five alum Scott Wolf and his estranged wife, The Real World: New Orleans alum Kelley Wolf, are facing another significant development in their highly publicized separation. According to TMZ, a Utah court has dismissed the misdemeanor harassment charges that Kelley previously faced.
After announcing their separation in June 2025, the couple's split became contentious. As Entertainment Weekly noted, Kelley was later placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold, and Scott obtained a restraining order. Not long after that, Kelley was charged with electronic communication harassment and electronic disclosure of personal identifying information.
On July 28, TMZ reported that, per legal documents they reviewed, the electronic harassment case has been dropped. The state of Utah, where the charges were filed, submitted a motion requesting that the misdemeanor charges Kelley faced be dismissed.

In addition, TMZ noted, prosecutors asked that the charges be dismissed with prejudice, meaning that they cannot be brought again. Court documents indicate the request followed Kelley's successful completion of a diversion agreement, though the terms of the agreement were not publicly disclosed.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Part of a major interstate highway in Oregon was closed Monday due to a wildfire that forced a small town to evacuate, one of dozens of blazes burning across the state.
The Fox Fire forced the closure of Interstate 84 for some 70 miles (113 kilometers) between Baker City and Ontario near the Idaho state line before reopening later in the day, the Oregon Department of Transportation said. I-84 is a key thoroughfare, running from Portland in the west through the Columbia River Gorge and into eastern Oregon before crossing the Snake River eastward through Boise.
The transportation department said the wildfire remains active in the area and that intermittent closures were still possible.
Challenging wildfires have burned across the Western U.S. this summer, following months of dry weather, a record lack of snow in some areas, hot spells and erratic winds. Federal authorities announced Saturday that a fourth firefighter died of his injuries after he and several colleagues were overcome last month by a fast-moving wildfire near the Colorado-Utah border.
The Fox Fire was burning near the Oregon-Idaho state line about 12 miles (19 kilometers) northeast of the small town of Huntington, which was under a Level 3 "Go Now" evacuation order, meaning its roughly 500 residents have been told to leave immediately.

Colorado enters the 2026 college football season with a cleaner plan at quarterback, with redshirt freshman Julian Lewis the projected starter and Utah transfer Isaac Wilson a competent backup to apply some pressure.
Lewis has a ton of potential, and with Brennan Marion now running the offense, the odds of him reaching that potential significantly increase. The Athletic recently named the Colorado quarterback to its list of ten rising quarterbacks who could make a jump this year.
To qualify for the list, all players could not be in the first three tiers of our ranking; Lewis was placed in the fifth tier (No. 49 overall) and was not on last year's list.
Lewis is joined on the list by several Big 12 quarterbacks, including Texas Tech's Will Hammond (No. 2), Arizona State's (No. 3) and West Virginia's Michael Hawkins (No. 9). Georgia Tech starting quarterback Alberto Mendoza, who the Buffs will see in Week 1, also made the list.

Announced by the league Friday night, former Alabama softball ace Montana Fouts has been named the 2026 AUSL Pitcher of the Year.
The accolade was one-of-two honors Fouts received Friday night, named to the All-AUSL Team as well.
Fouts is in the midst of a stellar 2026 season with the Utah Talons, guiding the team to the No. 1 seed in the AUSL Championship. The former Alabama ace also set four AUSL single-season records with innings pitched, strikeouts, and wins, as well as with seven complete games.
So far this season, Fouts has made 11 total appearances for Utah in the circle, nine of which have been starts. The former Alabama ace owns a 7-4 record, 2.36 ERA, and 63:10 K:BB ratio across 62.1 innings pitched.
Fouts and the Talons will face the Chicago Bandits in Game 1 of the AUSL Championship on Saturday, July 25, at 1 p.m. ET on ABC. Game 2 will be played Sunday, followed by an if necessary Game 3 on Monday.

Jordan Devey, a member of the New England Patriots' 2014 Super Bowl team, has passed away. He was 38 years old.
Devey's wife, Linsey, shared the news on social media.
Born in American Fork, Utah, Devey did not play football in high school but instead was an avid tuba player as well as a member of the Cavemen's basketball team. After serving a two-year mission in Costa Rica, he enrolled at Snow College in 2009 and two years later transferred to Memphis.
Devey went on to go unselected in the 2013 NFL Draft, but he found a temporary home with the Ravens. After the Ravens let him go that same summer, the Patriots picked him up through their practice squad. He found his was to the 53-man roster the following season and went on to start four of the seven games he appeared in. To cap off the 2014 season, Devey earned a Super Bowl ring as a reserve lineman.
The Patriots traded him to San Francisco the following training camp. He later also spent three seasons with the Chiefs, and one each with the Raiders and Bills. In total, he ended his eight-year NFL career with a combined 45 regular season and playoff appearances.

On Friday, the Houston Rockets announced the signing of free agent center Oscar Tshiebwe. Terms of the contract, including the deal's length and whether there is any guaranteed money, were not disclosed.
The 26-year-old is listed at 6-foot-9 and 265 pounds, according to the team's announcement.
Tshiebwe was eligible for the 2023 NBA draft following his senior season at Kentucky. From there, Tshiebwe spent his 2023-24 rookie season as a two-way player with Indiana before playing the past two seasons on a two-way contract with Utah.
In 49 career NBA games with seven starts, Tshiebwe has averaged 7.0 points (61.3% FG) and 6.5 rebounds in 15.2 minutes.
In NBA history, Tshiebwe is the only player with 15-plus games played to have averaged at least 15.0 rebounds and 6.0 offensive boards per 36 minutes. For his G League career, he has averaged 16.9 rebounds and 6.8 offensive boards in 97 tip-off tournament and regular-season games.

McDonald, 43, will coach the Bobcats' running backs after joining the Lobos' staff earlier this season as a volunteer offensive ****** istant. Prior to UNM, he served as the running backs coach at Southern Cal, Utah and the Los Angeles Chargers.
A former cornerback at Sacramento State and Idaho, McDonald played under Eck for one season with the Vandals in 2006. The latter served as Idaho's tight ends coach and run game coordinator at the time.

When the season is on, his job as a safety is to stymie any opposing success in his secondary, and when given the chance, to hit people hard enough to separate the ball from their body. It's football and he's good at it, but it's a far cry from what Raider Damuni did this summer to prepare for his last blast at BYU.
"We just got back," the senior told the "Y's Guys" livestream show this week about a trip to Tonga with a few of his teammates and head coach Kalani Sitake. While there, in addition to staging a football camp and a fireside, they advanced the mission of BYU-Pathway Worldwide throughout the island nation.
"When we play, we represent not just the people in Provo and Utah, but we represent the church and our faith and our faith is worldwide," Damuni said. "So being able to have that impact on people with the platform that we have as football players at BYU, that is why we want to go out and reach out to people, not just in the United States, but worldwide."

FARMINGTON — Most caddies are credited by top amateur and professional golfers for helping them select the right clubs and read greens, but for 20-year-old Ashley Lam on Thursday at Oakridge Country Club, it was a little piece of advice her 22-year-old brother Sean Lam gave her that just might have meant the difference between winning and losing the 36-hole championship match of the 120th Utah Women's Amateur.
Four times heavy underdog Ashley Lam took the lead over six-time champion Kelsey Chugg, 35, on a buzzard-hot day in Davis County, but each time Chugg came roaring back, including from a three-hole deficit on the 32th, 34th and 35th holes to square the match heading into the 36th hole, No. 18 at Oakridge.
So how was Lam able to keep her composure after losing the big lead in a four-hole stretch?
"It was just my brother telling me to lock in and just stop being a little baby," she said, then added that she wouldn't take that kind of tough love from anybody but him. Sean Lam played golf briefly for Glendale College in Arizona and now works for Callaway.
"It was a really great experience, just because he's been with me all throughout, just my whole childhood playing golf with him," an emotional Ashley Lam said after her big brother playfully roughed her up a bit to congratulate her on the 18th green before the traditional trophy ceremony took place.

There might not be a better match play golfer in the history of the state of Utah than Kelsey Chugg, a 35-year-old amateur who continues to defy the odds on the golf course.
The **** ociate director of golf for Salt Lake City was at it again on Wednesday at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, winning a pair of matches against much younger players to advance to the 36-hole championship match of the 120th Women’s State Amateur.
Chugg will face Taylorsville’s Ashley Lam, a Westminster University golfer who prepped at Skyline High, in Thursday’s final match at 7:30 a.m. as Chugg chases her seventh **** le and Lam her first.
It will be the eighth championship match for Chugg, who is 6-1 in **** le matches in 15 appearances in the Utah Women’s State Amateur and now has a 45-8 record in State Am matches, according to Kurt Kragthorpe of Fairways Magazine.
Chugg advanced Wednesday with a 2 up victory over another former champion, 2020 winner Grace Summerhays of Scottsdale, Arizona. Summerhays recently completed her college career at Arizona State and was playing in only her second event after taking nearly nine months off due to wrist injuries.

During the 2026 NBA Summer League, Darryn Peterson committed nine personal fouls during his debut for the Utah Jazz. It was clear that he was having fun with the unique rule at Summer League, where players are allowed up to 10 fouls before they are forced to sit on the bench.
Considering he was still impressive on offense with his 20.7 points per game average across the three games, he was still quite solid at Summer League. However, he wanted to make a point with his fouls, as he does not want his opponents to see him as a "weaker" player when it comes to physicality.
Ahead of the 2026 NBA Draft, scouts were worried about Peterson's strength, especially when it came to physicality. Some people also saw his injury struggles at Kansas as red flags for his future in the league. Like most players, Peterson became aware of that, so he wanted to make a point at NBA Summer League.
Since the scouts believe he struggles when the pressure goes up, he wanted to make sure that Summer League put a stop to those narratives. He was extra physical, which a lot of people did not expect, but it showed that he is ready for the league.

As NFL teams report to training camp over the next several days, two former Utah college stars who've both won a Super Bowl won't be joining them — at least not yet.
Former Utah State linebacker Bobby Wagner and former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy are among the throng of current free agents, and in an article published earlier this week, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox identified the pair as two of the top 10 available free agents going into training camp.
The 36-year-old Wagner spent the past two seasons with the Washington Commanders. Prior to that, he had played all but one of his now 14 NFL seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. That included winning a Super Bowl with the Seahawks back in 2014.
Remarkably, Wagner has recorded 100-plus tackles in every season he's played in the NFL, all while earning first-team All-Pro honors six times. Last year, he had 162 tackles, 4.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss and two interceptions for Washington.
"It always feels like there's at least one NFL star who can successfully stiff-arm Father Time until he's finally ready to call it a career. We're used to it being quarterbacks, but linebacker Bobby Wagner, who turned 36 last month, has shown no signs of slowing down," Knox wrote.

Five players who finished their college careers with Missouri basketball saw playing time in the NBA Summer League, which ran July 9-19 in Las Vegas. The event is an opportunity for players to compete for free agent deals for the upcoming season.
Mark Mitchell played for the Denver Nuggets after signing an Exhibit 10 deal, Tamar Bates is on a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz, Sean East II was with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jevon Porter featured for the Memphis Grizzlies and Caleb Grill played for the Boston Celtics.
Ex-Tigers Trevon Brazile and John Tonje, who each spent a season in Columbia in their college careers, played for the Nuggets and Celtics, respectively.
Former Mizzou center Shawn Phillips Jr. initially signed a Summer League contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, but he did not appear in any games after he was named in an eligibility injunction filed in Ohio against the NCAA. Porter is part of a similar lawsuit in California.

Carolina Chaos defenseman Jack Rowlett has been placed on injured reserve after suffering an upper-body injury in the first quarter of Saturday's 10-8 loss to the Denver Outlaws that required the five-time All-Pro to be transported to the local hospital in Fairfield.
According to Dr. Paul Sethi, Medical Director at the PLL, Rowlett was diagnosed with both a cervical strain and a sternoclavicular strain on the left side of his body.
Rowlett will be reassessed heading into Carolina's regular-season finale against the Utah Archers on Aug. 7.
"He will be out the next two weeks, so three games," Chaos general manager Spencer Ford said on Monday. "[He is] in a lot of pain but will get better."
While on injured reserve, Rowlett will miss Carolina's game against the Boston Cannons on July 25, as well as the Chaos' back-to-back contests against the California Redwoods on July 31 and the Philadelphia Waterdogs on Aug. 1.

Jacob Crews is the latest Missouri basketball alum to earn a professional opportunity this summer, as the wing signed to play for Donar Groningen in the Netherlands on Tuesday, according to a news release from the team.
Two Tigers from the 2025-26 team are now set to play overseas, as guard Jayden Stone signed a deal with the Sydney Kings earlier this summer.
Mizzou had multiple players participating in the NBA Summer League in July. Mark Mitchell signed an Exhibit-10 deal with the Denver Nuggets, Tamar Bates signed a two-way deal with the Utah Jazz and Caleb Grill (Celtics), Sean East II (Cavaliers) and Jevon Porter (Grizzlies) all appeared in Summer League games.
Former MU center Shawn Phillips Jr. briefly had a Summer League deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, but, like Porter, he is involved in litigation against the NCAA's age-based eligibility rule change and appears to be seeking an avenue back into college athletics.
Crews spent six seasons in college, including the past two years at Mizzou. He appeared in 66 total games for the Tigers, averaging 8.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and a 43.5% mark from 3-point range last season.

In the petition filed on Monday, July 13, and obtained by PEOPLE, the agency asked a juvenile court to find that Taylor's three children — whom she shares with exes Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul — are "abused, neglected or dependent," and to order protective supervision and appoint a guardian ad litem to represent the children.

Paris Hilton is finally at "peace" after the Provo, Utah boarding school where she was allegedly abused as a teenager has shut down. "This horrific chapter of abuse, neglect, and trauma has finally come to an end," she said in a statement Friday.
On July 17, nearly two weeks after the Utah Department of Health and Human services (DHHS) revoked the licenses for the Provo Canyon School, the school's boys and girls campuses officially shut down, ending a years-long effort by Hilton and other survivors for accountability.

After the Los Angeles Lakers agreed to trade two first-round draft picks and two pick swaps to the Utah Jazz in a sign-and-trade for center Walker Kessler, they jettisoned Deandre Ayton, their starting center last season, to the Washington Wizards. That meant they needed a true backup center.
On Monday, they officially signed veteran Kevon Looney to a one-year contract. He will presumably serve as the main backup behind Kessler, with big man Sandro Mamukelashvili playing some minutes at the position with the Lakers go small.

“I knew I was going to be a free agent,” Looney said. “I looked at the landscape of free agency and where there was an opportunity where I could play. A few teams called looking for a backup big. LA is a place that I come to all the time. I’m here a lot of the times. I got a lot of friends and family. So to have the opportunity to join the Lakers, I couldn’t turn that down.”
The 30-year-old played his college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles and recently got married in nearby Santa Barbara. After he was the No. 30 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, he spent his first 10 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, where he won three championships.

Caleb Wilson is finally a winner in Las Vegas after leading the Chicago Bulls to a victory in his third NBA Summer League game.
A former star for UNC basketball and the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft by the Bulls, Wilson has been a stat-stuffing star throughout his time at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. The 6-foot-10 forward continued that individual success in Chicago's 99-87 win against the former teammate Seth Trimble and the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, July 14. It was the Bulls' first win in Vegas.
Wilson had 19 points on 7 of 15 shooting, including 2 of 6 from 3-point range, scoring 11 points before halftime. He had a buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter, adding eight rebounds, two blocks and two ***** ists in a summer-league low 23 minutes.
The rookie also took advantage of NBA’s one free-throw attempt rule for summer league, making his lone free throw after being fouled on a 3-point attempt in the first half. He was 2 of 12 from the stripe in his first two games.

Through his first two NBA Summer League games, former UNC basketball star Caleb Wilson is putting the league on notice.
In his July 10 debut, Caleb Wilson scored a record 35 points. On Monday night, Wilson led all players with 19 points and five blocks.
Wilson's play is also drawing the attention of prominent sports journalists. In a Tuesday morning episode of ESPN's Get Up, ******* yst Seth Greenberg and ESPN NBA Senior Writer Vince Goodwill delivered massive praise for the former Tar Heel.
“If you look at upside, someone’s potential, not right now but two three years from now, he has the greatest upside of all these rookies," Greenberg said.
Wilson, the fourth overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, already faced off against third overall pick Cameron Boozer back on July 10, out-dueling him in the Chicago Bulls' 97-96 loss to the Memphis Grizzles. Wilson played against the Utah Jazz Monday night, but second overall pick Darryn Peterson didn't play.

After the Lakers made a major investment to acquire the 24-year-old center from the Utah Jazz, Kessler met with the media for the first time in Las Vegas on Monday and expressed his excitement about joining L.A.
The Lakers acquired Kessler in a blockbuster offseason trade on July 1, sending two unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033 and two first-round pick swaps in 2028 and 2030 to Utah in a sign-and-trade deal.
Shortly after the deal, Kessler agreed to a four-year, $130 million contract extension, showing how highly the organization views his future.
Kessler said knowing the Lakers' belief in him has motivated him even more entering this next chapter in his career.
