Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce turned their "New Heights" podcast into one of the biggest success stories after launching the show in 2022. The brothers built a massive audience that reached far beyond football and helped make them among the highest-paid podcasters in the world.

Kylie delivered a memorable podcast moment when she teamed up with the Backstreet Boys, the best-selling boy band in history, to recreate one of television's most recognizable comedy scenes.
Kyle and the legendary band recreated the "I Want It That Way" cold open from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 5, Episode 17, ***** led "DFW."

From Lane Thomas's Fangraphs profile, he appears to have peaked in 2023. He hit 28 home runs with the Nationals that year and compiled 2.9 WAR. But he hasn't reached those heights since. Lane suffered a left MCL injury in April 2024 before being shipped to the Guardians. In 2025, he suffered a bone bruise before serving two IL stints for plantar fasciitis. However, he was able to keep away from scooters long enough to come back and have a league average offensive season in the outfield for Kansas City. Now, I feel you may not be sold on Thomas in the same way that the Braves were. Nevertheless, if Atlanta employs him in the correct manner, he becomes a very useful piece.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Sarah Hodel and Rachel Koehler arrived at Robin Roberts Stadium more than four hours before the first game of the Women's Professional Baseball League. Once inside, Hodel stopped periodically for pictures as she walked along the concourse.
She wanted to savor every moment.
"Back in high school I was on my speech team and my informative speech was on women in baseball," said Hodel, a 43-year-old athletic trainer from Duluth, Minnesota. "So as soon as I saw this happening a couple years ago it was my goal to come."
That moment finally arrived on Saturday night, when Mo'ne Davis and the Los Angeles Queens took on Denae Benites and the New York Heights in a rainy debut for the first women's professional baseball league in the United States in almost 30 years.
"Growing up I played softball," said Koehler, 33, of St. Paul, Minnesota. "I wanted to play baseball because going professional was always like the dream, but there (were) no opportunities. ... So now that that's actually an opportunity and something that girls can look up to I think is amazing."

The Los Angeles Queens will face the New York Heights in the first game of the Women's Pro Baseball League today in Springfield, Illinois.
The best-known member of the Queens is outfielder Mo'ne Davis, who in 2014 became the first girl to pitch a shutout in the Little League World Series and first Little Leaguer to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Davis played softball at Hampton University in 2020 and 2022, was an intern in the Dodgers' video production department in 2023, received a master's degree in sports management from Columbia University in 2024 and played for the Indianapolis Clowns of the Banana Ball Championship League earlier this year.
The Queens chose ******* anese right-handed pitcher Ayami Sato with their first selection in the league's draft, the second overall pick. The 36-year-old has helped lead ******* an to six Women's Baseball World Cup championships. The Queens' lone Southern Californian is catcher Jamie Mackay, who played on the baseball team at Pacifica Christian High School in Newport Beach and college softball at Mississippi and South Carolina.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married at Madison Square Garden almost a month ago, and everyone still can't stop talking about it. The couple still haven't shared any photos, so an air of mystery still surrounds the event, though Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid, and others have been dropping details. Reid recently suggested that Kelce stayed in shape ahead of training camp and that all the dancing at the wedding contributed to that. Now, that's proving to be true, as a clip sees Kelce dancing during camp.
Kelce has been the tight end of the Chiefs for 13 years, and for a while there was a lot of uncertainty whether or not he would return for this upcoming football season. Ultimately, though, he signed a new contract with the organization he won three Super Bowls for. While Kelce may be considered old in some sports talk circles, Reid's comments helped dispel that notion, and this funny clip of Kelce "grooving" as shared by KCTV5 on Instagram, also adds fuel to the notion that he's still pumped to be on the field:
I mean, should we be surprised that Kelce busted out a quick dance move while waiting on the field? After all, this is a guy who celebrates a victory with a little jig here and there. I love to see the 36-year-old football veteran out there enjoying himself, and it's clear that his coach is pleased with him as well.

When Ayami Sato takes the mound as the starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Queens on Saturday, it will be the culmination of a professional career that has spanned 16 years and three countries. The right-handed hurler is largely considered the best pitcher in the history of women's baseball. She has the awards and experience to prove it, and now she's taking on America when she makes her debut in the Women's Professional Baseball League, the first pro women's baseball league in the United States since the 1950s.
Even though most Americans tuning into the WPBL may not have heard of her, Sato's resume speaks for itself. Sato's fastball has been clocked at nearly 80mph and her curveball has a devastating spin rate that is higher than many Major League Baseball pitchers. As a member of the ****** an National Team since 2010, Sato has won six gold medals. She is the only player in Women's Baseball World Cup history to win three consecutive MVP awards. As a member of the now-defunct ****** an's Women's Baseball League, Sato led the league in strikeouts in three of the last four seasons. And most recently, in 2024 she became the first woman to play pro baseball in Canada as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Intercounty Baseball League.
Now, she is bringing her talent to the US and the WPBL. "This is a brand new league for all of us," Sato tells the Guardian through a translator. "So I also want to approach it with the mindset of a rookie –staying curious, paying attention to everything around me, and embracing this new challenge with an open mind."
The league will play all its games in a centralized location for its first season, at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois. There are four teams – the Queens, the New York Heights, the San Francisco Firebells and the Boston Hunters. And the best players from all over the world will take the field together for the first time as one league, including at least nine players from the US women's national baseball team. On the Queens, Sato will play alongside USA star third baseman Ashton Lansdell and Little League World Series star Mo'ne Davis.
WPBL co-founder and commissioner Justine Seigel says it was always the plan to recruit internationally for the league. "We want many of the best players, and to have many of the best players, you have to go out into the world and find the best shortstop in Venezuela, and who's pitching in ****** an," Seigel says. "It's also fun because baseball is baseball, but it's also got its own little nuances country-to-country, and it's kind of fun to see in a game, as well."

Jul. 30—The Big Sky Conference made official its additions of Southern Utah and Utah Tech this month, in time for the two universities' football programs to take part in the league's annual football kickoff weekend at Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Airway Heights.
Coaches at both programs articulated the various benefits that the Thunderbirds and Trailblazers expect to reap, while coaches and officials from across the Big Sky described the move as a fortification of the league's status as the best in the FCS.
Having 13 teams isn't new to the Big Sky; it carried that many from 2012 to 2021, albeit not these same 13 teams. And Eastern Washington and Idaho are minimally impacted by the specific addition of Southern Utah and Utah Tech.
But by swelling to 13, the Big Sky has swallowed up every remaining scholarship FCS program within its geographic footprint, and the effect of that will ripple through its other, more tenured 11 programs.
"I thought it would be a great move for our entire athletic department, and it has been," Utah Tech head football coach Lance Anderson said. "... I just think this is a much better geographic fit for us."

The Oregon Ducks men's basketball program has gone through a litany of changes this offseason, with eight incoming transfers replacing eight outgoing transfers. The coaching staff has also experienced its fair share of changes, as long-time Dana Altman ***** istant coach Mike Mennenga departed for Creighton and Brandon Kuhn was hired as the new strength and conditioning coach.
The latest change comes from ***** istant coach Kevin McKenna, who has decided to retire. McKenna has worked on the player development side for the past few seasons, helping develop a trio of Jackson Shelstad, Nate Bittle and Kwame Evans Jr. into All-Big Ten caliber players. He spent 16 seasons at Oregon.
McKenna's basketball career spans back a number of decades, as he was a standout player at Creighton before being selected 88th overall in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1981 NBA Draft. He spent six seasons in the league with eight different teams before heading into coaching after his playing days concluded.

The former India captain and coach, who played in the same school team– St. Joseph's Boys High School– as former international hockey players Anil Aldrin and Sandeep Somesh, counts hockey as one of his favourite sports. Speaking at the opening of the inter-college hockey tournament commemorating the platinum jubilee of his alma mater, St Joseph's College of Commerce (SJCC), here on Friday, Dravid reminisced about his days on the hockey field.
"I played a lot of hockey in school. I was fortunate to play with people like Anil Aldrin and Sandeep Somesh for two reasons. Firstly, we were a strong team and won tournaments like Centenary Shield and the Father Eric Vaz inter-school tournaments because of these two guys. Also, it was a good lesson for me because when I watched them play or played with them, I realised that I was better off playing cricket," Dravid joked.

Incidentally, Dravid and Somesh both played as midfielders, while 1996 Atlanta Olympian Aldrin was a defender. The 53-year-old Dravid said hockey had played an important role in his formative years. "I loved playing hockey. It was a great team sport. India has such an incredible history, legacy and tradition in hockey," he said.
Dravid also praised the resurgence of Indian hockey after the men's team secured back-to-back Olympic bronze medals in Paris and Tokyo. "We haven't been able to reach the heights and standards that we had in the past, but I'm glad we have been quite successful in recent times. There is a revival of hockey," he observed.
The two-day five-a-side inter-college hockey tournament, which has attracted 17 teams, has been organised by SJCC's Old Students' ****** ociation (OSA) and Yes For Hockey. The competition is timely for the revival of collegiate hockey, which has declined over the years.
Lauding the efforts of OSA, Dravid said, "They've been very passionate about trying to revive hockey and get more youngsters to play it, which is really important because it's such a phenomenal sport to be a part of. I think it's only going to keep getting better."
Known throughout his playing career for exemplifying sportsmanship, Dravid urged young players to uphold the spirit of the game. "Play in the right spirit, competitively but also with the right sense of camaraderie," he stated, adding, "Not everyone is going to play for the country, but there is so much that sport can give you. The lessons that you learn from sport will carry you for the rest of your life."

Last month, USC baseball lost pitching coach Sean Allen, who was named the new head coach at Lamar. To replace him, the Trojans hired Hawaii’s Keith Zuniga. However, it appears as though that will not be the only **** istant coaching change that Andy Stankiewicz and USC make this offseason.
On Wednesday, it was reported that hitting coach and recruiting coordinator Travis Jewett will be leaving the Trojans for Vanderbilt, where he will take over as the de facto general manager. However, it took less than a day for USC to find his replacement, as Wednesday night, reports surfaced that the Trojans will be hiring veteran **** istant and longtime friend of Stankiewicz Bill Mosiello as their new hitting coach.
“Mosiello comes to USC after being an **** istant at several big-name programs in his career, including Cal State Fullerton, Arizona State, and four different schools now in the SEC,” Shotgun Spratling of 247Sports wrote. “But he is most well known as being a top **** istant at TCU for 11 of the last 13 years where he helped push the program to new heights. The Horned Frogs went to four consecutive College World Series appearances from 2014 to 2017 with Mosiello as the hitting coach.
“He had been the **** ociate head coach under Kirk Saarloos the last two seasons after a two-year stint as Ohio State's head coach. He went 60-51 with the Buckeyes and took them to their first Big Ten Tournament in a half decade in 2024, but left the position to return to Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs saw dividends right away as the team average improved 25 points in 2025, and TCU returned to the NCAA tournament (only to be beaten by USC) after not making it in 2024.
“But after TCU struggled to meet expectations this season, missing the postseason for just the second time in Mosiello's 11 years with the program, the Horned Frogs made multiple changes to their **** istant coaching staff, including parting ways with Mosiello. That opened the door for Mosiello and Stankiewicz to finally unite after more than 50 years of friendship.”

One of central Ohio's top high school football teams knows it will have one of the country's top recruits for at least the first five games of the 2026 season, but senior Jamier Brown's eligibility after that remains undetermined.
A five-star wide receiver who has committed to Ohio State, Brown transferred to Big Walnut in January after playing three seasons at Huber Heights Wayne.
"[Brown] is eligible for the first five games of the season, and in early October the OHSAA will conduct a review of his status in conjunction with Big Walnut and the family to determine his eligibility for Week 6 and beyond," Tim Stried, the director of media relations for the OHSAA, said July 21.
Transfers ruled ineligible for the second half of the 10-game regular season can't compete in the postseason.
During track and field in the spring, Brown was ruled eligible for the entire season after the OHSAA determined he met one of its transfer exceptions. The OHSAA said it doesn't provide details of exceptions.

The Ravens embraced change this offseason. Since January, Baltimore has a new head coach, new play-callers on both sides of the ball, an entirely rebuilt interior offensive line, and a significantly improved defensive line. And in this week’s Ravens Reacts survey, we want to know which change will make the biggest impact this year! Here’s an argument for each option in the survey:
Jesse Minter: This one is pretty simple. The Chargers fielded a top-10 defense in both of Minter’s years as DC, and putting a top-10 defense opposite a Lamar Jackson-led offense will only lead to success. At a higher level, Minter is preaching accountability and standards as he installs a new culture in Baltimore that will hopefully reverse a trend of blown leads and disappointing playoff losses. This change at the top affects every single part of the team, and it will take a strong effort from Minter to bring the Ravens back to Super Bowl contention right away.
Declan Doyle: On the other side of the ball, the Ravens’ new 29-year-old offensive coordinator will be looking to bring Jackson and Baltimore’s offense to new heights. The two-time MVP is working with a young, innovative offensive mind for the first time in his career, and the results could be explosive. If Doyle can quickly conjure the same success as his mentors Sean Payton and Ben Johnson, the Ravens offense should be among the best in the league and Jackson could take home his third MVP.
Trey Hendrickson: The Ravens made an uncharacteristically aggressive pursuit of elite edge rushing talent this offseason. They nearly sent two first-round picks to the Raiders for Maxx Crosby before pivoting to a four-year, $112 million deal for Hendrickson. The former Bengal is coming off a down year due to injury, but he put up 17.5 sacks in both 2023 and 2024, more than any Raven has logged in a single season. Post-injury and crossing into his 30s, he may not return to those heights, but he could still be the team’s most effective pass rusher in at least a decade.

The Las Vegas Raiders' passing offense ranked 28th in the league last season, averaging 167.7 yards per game. It was a collective issue on offense, with the quarterbacks and offensive line also deserving blame for the lack of success. There's no denying that the wide receivers need to be better in 2026 though.
The Raiders made one splash in free agency at wide receiver. Elsewhere, they're relying on head coach Klint Kubiak and new quarterbacks Fernando Mendoza and Kirk Cousins to drastically improve the aerial attack. Taking everything into consideration, we've ranked the Raiders' projected top five wide receivers from best to worst.
Tre Tucker led all Raiders pass catchers in receiving last year with 696 yards and five touchdowns. The former Cincinnati wideout is a speedster who possesses even more potential in Coach Kubiak's offensive scheme. Tucker should continue being a reliable outlet for the Raiders' quarterbacks while possibly taking his game to new heights in Kubiak's system.
The Raiders signed Jalen Nailor in free agency to a multi-year contract worth more than $11 million per season despite him never topping 444 yards in a single season throughout his four-year rookie deal. The belief is that getting Nailor away from the Minnesota Vikings, who have Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison at the position, will make him significantly more productive. He'll likely see a career-high amount of targets in 2026, and possesses the athletic traits needed to take advantage of his opportunities.
Sophomore Jack Bech needs to be significantly better after producing just 20 catches for 224 yards and zero touchdowns as a rookie. The production did not meet the investment of a top-60 pick. Bech will possess every opportunity to be the starting slot receiver, so expectations are far higher.

ATTICA—Pendleton Heights junior Zach Zoeller continued his recent hot streak with a victory Monday on the Indiana Golf ****** ociation's Junior tour.
Zoeller defeated Zach Kinzer from Fishers on the second playoff hole to earn a victory at Harrison Hills after the pair had finished 36 holes deadlocked at 146 (+2).
The 2026 Madison County medalist, who had built on his strong showing at the IHSAA State finals last month with runner-up and fourth-place finishes in his last two outings, was tied with Jack Lantz from Fort Wayne after a one-under par 71 in the first round.
Kinzer was at even par after the first round.
Zoeller recorded four birdies in the first round and three more during an up-and-down second round. A clutch birdie on the par-three 17th hole drew him even with Kinzer, setting up the playoff.

It makes no difference to the first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, selected No. 19 overall by the Blues.

"My mindset is I want to play in the NHL next year. It doesn't mean I'm going to play, but it's a mindset of everything I want to do in training camp is to play," Carbonneau said recently while attending development camp. "If I step into a gym, it's because I want to play in the NHL. If I want to go on the ice in a 1-on-1 battle, I play games to show I want to be there and I want to be with the Blues. At the end, it's not my decision, but I'm going to do everything I can to force their hands."

Arkansas baseball pitcher Ethan McElvain was selected by the Kansas City Royals with the No. 151 overall pick in the fifth round of the 2026 MLB Draft on Sunday, July 11. He is sixth draft pick this weekend for the Razorbacks.
McElvain's projected slot value at No. 151 is $476,900.
The Tennessee native just wrapped up his one-and-only season with Arkansas. The junior lefty did not pitch on the weekend until the Hogs' fourth series of the season, but he quickly demanded more innings and eventually settled into the closer role for Dave Van Horn.
McElvain went 6-0 with a 1.88 ERA and six saves across 38⅓ innings pitched. He struck out 55 batters and only issued 13 walks as one of the most-dominant relievers across the SEC.
McElvain took his pitching to new heights in 2026 thanks to better control. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Vanderbilt, and McElvain walked 28 batters in 27⅓ innings during the 2025 season. The end result was a 7.24 ERA as a sophomore.

The final four of the 2026 World Cup is set, and it's a rather stacked final four that includes the two finalists from the last Euros and the two finalists from the last World Cup. Despite all the shocks and surprises and drama of this World Cup, the four semifinalists are just about the four favorites that were always expected to get there.
That's not to say that they had gotten there without their fair share of drama; certainly in Argentina's case. The defending champions have produced some of the most entertaining games of the knockout rounds, and while last night's semifinal against Switzerland didn't exactly reach the heady heights of the Cape Verde or Egypt matches in terms of pure cinema, it still featured one of the best goals scored at this World Cup in Julián Alvarez's winner in extra-time.
Credit to Switzerland for managing to hold Argentina to just one goal during the 90 minutes; things might have ended differently for them had Breel Embolo not collected one of the silliest red cards of the tournament with a most egregious dive in the second half that was rightfully awarded a second yellow after VAR review. Down to ten, the Swiss managed to hold out to extra-time, but could not get to the penalties.
Enzo Fernández lasted the 90 but was taken off for extra-time. Valentín Barco continues to not feature.
Argentina will take on England in the second semifinal on Wednesday after the Three Lions outlasted an absolutely shattered Norway (and Erling Haaland) in the Miami heat and humidity. Norway took the lead on a did-he-mean-it strike from Andreas Schjelderup but Jude Bellingham dragged them back into it on the stroke of half-time (possibly ****** isted by bit of camera rigging in the sky: the Cable of God?).

Spain haven't hit the heights many predicted they would before the start of the World Cup, but the European champions continue to move forward in a tournament where they have yet to concede a single goal.
Belgium's progress hasn't been as serene. Indeed, Rudi Garcia's side needed a remarkable late comeback from 2-0 down against Senegal to make the last 16. Many had written off the Red Devils after an underwhelming string of performances.
Against the USA in Seattle, though, Belgium hit their stride in a commanding 4-1 victory. If Garcia can draw that sort of performance out of his players again, Belgium could give Spain some trouble.

As of late, the WNBA discourse has largely centered around Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark and the way that she is refereed and the physical way that her opponents play her. The conversation reached new heights after Phoenix Mercury star Alyssa Thomas struck her in the throat area.
Things have even reached Washington, D.C., where several Republican members of Congress penned a letter to WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert about what they deemed to be "repeated" acts of violence against Caitlin Clark and even posited that it could be racially motivated.
The Fever organization moved quickly to distance itself from the letter, releasing a statement that neither it nor Clark had any knowledge of the letter or contact with the members of Congress.
However, the damage was done, and it led to more discourse on social media that had nothing to do with the actual basketball being played on the floor. As much of an economic engine as she has been for the WNBA, some think all the negativity that has come with Clark's presence has been a net negative on the league.
"Caitlin Clark dead ***** might be the worst thing to happen to the WNBA. And she ain't got the self awareness or care to tell her fans to stop," one fan posted on X.

Apparently, when I raise concerns about a hitter, they start to shove it in my face. Last week, I expressed concerns with Kyle Tucker. However, Tucker has been hitting .400 since July 1. Like usual, we're examining a hitter's skill and luck factors to figure out whether we should buy, sell or hold based on their current production. Sometimes, struggling hitters present a buy-low opportunity. Meanwhile, hitters could be riding hot, but the underlying metrics say be cautious or buy high if possible.
Caminero has been a rockstar this season, building upon his peak year in 2025. He has been walking more (12.5%), which would be a career high. That's partly because Caminero is being more patient, with a 29.1% chase rate and 60.1% zone swing rate. For context, Caminero's chase rate was three points lower and the zone swing rate dropped by five percentage points. That said, Caminero is using a more patient approach this year.
Caminero consistently pulls the ball into the air 24% of the time, up from 21.5% (2025). The power metrics have been off the charts, given Caminero's elite bat speed (79.9 mph), 88% fast swing rate (percentage of swings at 75 mph or higher) and an 8.9% barrel rate per plate appearance. Though Caminero's 28% home run per flyball rate (HR/F) seems high, hitters with elite power can maintain higher home run rates.
The projections point toward Caminero pushing toward 50 home runs with a .280 batting average, making him an elite four-category contributor. Furthermore, if Caminero maintains his more patient approach and double-digit walk rate, he will be an **** et in points and OBP leagues. Caminero is teasing us with a light version of Aaron Judge.
The Nationals have been mostly playing García in a strong-side platoon role, though he often bats in the top third of the lineup. In a half-season, García has already set his career high in home runs (20), so he is reaching new heights this season. He has been swinging the bat harder (73.6 mph) with a career-best 8.5% barrel rate per plate appearance this season. That supports García's home runs in the first half of the season.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump's plans to build a skyline-altering arch in the nation's capital is getting another review from the federal commission whose approval he needs, but the agency's staff says the project should be revised before it gets the go-ahead.
The National Capital Planning Commission is meeting Thursday, and the Republican president's proposed 250-foot (76-meter) arch is one of the items on the agenda.
In a report, the agency's staff recommends that the commission approve the preliminary site and building plans for the arch. But the staff also recommends that the design be tweaked to comply with a federal law that limits building heights in downtown Washington to preserve the city's famous skyline. The planning commission applies the law during its approval process.
"Staff suggests the Commission request the applicant revise the project design to comply with the Height of Buildings Act and return to NCPC for final approval," the 185-page report says.
Applying the law "would require design revisions to redistribute the height between the main structure, habitable roof structure and statuary," the report said. But even with the recommended revisions, the arch, a public observation deck and three gilded topper statues would still reach Trump's desired 250-foot height, the report said.
