Every sport has its unwritten rules, and one of the most universal is simple: Don't give your opponent "bulletin-board material." Don't say something that can be printed out, slapped on a wall, and pointed to by a coach looking for a little extra motivation. Don't give the other team a reason to make the game personal.
In the end, almost anything can be twisted into locker-room material in one way or another. When Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Zyon McCollum was asked how he felt about playing against one of the most talented offenses in the league in Week 1, he had plenty of ways he could have answered.
And he made a decision.
"We're going to have opportunities, guaranteed opportunities," he said when asked about his Week 1 opponents. "I mean, they want to get their season started off right. They want to get in rhythm early, so the ball is guaranteed to go in the air. And a ball in the air belongs to us. You know, that's the mentality that we have. That's what we're going into the game thinking. We know we're going to get tested early, so it's an incredible opportunity for us.
"There will be no better feeling than when we take away three, four interceptions."

Real Madrid's La Liga journey continues on Saturday night as they play host to Rayo Vallecano on Matchday 5 of the competition.
Coming off a win over Inter Milan at the same venue, Real Madrid have bounced back strongly from their defeat against Real Betis last weekend.
The fact of the matter, however, is that the team looked unconvincing against the Serie A champions despite winning and were lucky to be gifted both their goals on the night.
There is a lot to improve on from a Real Madrid perspective, and while it will indeed take time to adapt to a new manager's ideologies, they simply cannot afford to lose any more points.
Madrid Universal brings you three talking points ahead of Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) represent two sides of a historical silicon transition. A September 2 report from MacRumors highlighted a key milestone: Apple notified developers that universal Mac App Store apps requiring macOS 13 or later can now drop support for Intel-based Macs. Removing Intel binary slices simplifies app development and reduces download sizes. While symbolic, the move underscores Apple's completed transition to Apple Silicon and highlights Intel's diminishing footprint within Apple's high-margin ecosystem.
Financially, Apple is faring significantly better than Intel.
For Q3 2026 (ended June 27, 2026), Apple reported record quarterly revenue of $109.4 billion, up 16% year-over-year, driven by double-digit growth across iPhone, Mac, and Services. The company's gross margin reached 50.1%, supported by a 2 percentage point favorable impact from tariff refunds. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) surged 29% year-over-year to $2.02, which included a $0.11 favorable boost from tariff refunds. Operating cash flow and active installed base both set new June quarter records.
Intel's Q2 2026 financial results (ended June 27, 2026) delivered $16.1 billion in quarterly revenue, up 25% year-over-year, marking its fastest top-line growth in over 15 years. Intel reported a GAAP net loss of $11.0 billion (GAAP EPS of -$2.16), largely driven by non-cash charges and mark-to-market adjustments. However, on a non-GAAP basis, net income reached $2.2 billion ($0.42 diluted EPS), nearly doubling consensus expectations. Non-GAAP gross margin expanded to 41.8% (40.4% GAAP) on strong product mix and factory yields.
Apple's bull case centers on expanding Services margins, strong ecosystem lock-in, and the potential for Apple Intelligence to drive further demand and engagement across iOS and macOS devices, supporting high-margin growth. On the other hand, Apple faces risks from elevated valuation multiples, sluggish growth in Greater China, where Q3 revenue reached $14.7 billion, and ongoing global antitrust scrutiny over App Store fees.

Ford Motor Company (F) is giving investors a fresh reason to revisit its electric vehicle (EV) strategy as the automaker prepares to launch the Fathom, an affordable electric pickup aimed squarely at the mass market. Ford reportedly wants to sell more than 100,000 Fathom trucks in its first year, a target that would put the model in rare company. That'd make it the first non-Tesla (TSLA) EV to cross the 100,000-unit mark for a single U.S. model in one year.
The Fathom is expected to start at $30,000, with customer orders opening in early 2027 and production beginning in the first quarter at Ford's Louisville, Kentucky, plant. Moreover, Ford is building the truck around a new Universal EV platform and a redesigned manufacturing process intended to dramatically lower costs. CEO Jim Farley has described the effort as a potential "Model T moment" for the company.

Sandra Bullock is opening up about one of her biggest roles yet: parenting teenagers. As she promotes Practical Magic 2, the actress has offered a refreshingly honest look at protecting family time, ignoring one-size-fits-all parenting advice and even finding a way to include her children in her latest movie.
Bullock, 62, is mom to teenagers Louis, 16, and Laila, 13, and says their schedules now play a major role in the projects she accepts. Rather than expecting her children to fit around Hollywood, she chooses work that allows her to be available when they need her.
The actress has previously been clear about where her priorities lie. "I'm not going to sacrifice my time with my kids," Bullock said while discussing why Practical Magic 2 was able to happen. That approach can become increasingly important as children get older. Teenagers may want more independence, but they still need parents who are present and available when life gets complicated.
Bullock also isn't pretending she has all the answers when it comes to raising teenagers. In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she joked about how difficult it is to offer universal parenting advice when every child is different.
When asked what advice she would give other parents, Bullock's response was simply, "I'm sorry," before explaining that her children are both completely unique.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman's support for Elon Musk's idea to put AI data centers in **** e and power them with solar panels did not occur in a vacuum. It comes not just against a background of rising, bipartisan opposition to ground-based data centers but also the recent announcement of an immense, **** eX Starbase to be built in Louisiana.
Many people oppose data centers out of the same kind of "NIMBY" emotion that fueled opposition to nuclear power plants and hydraulic fracking. They view them as big, noisy eyesores that will consume a lot of electricity and water to the detriment of local communities.
Opposition to ground-based AI data centers is not universal. Trade unions, which foresee lots of jobs being created in their construction and operation, are warmly supporting them. On the other hand, if Meta's experiments with using robots at data centers pans out, those jobs may be fewer than many expect.
The reason that many people are opposed to AI data centers in their communities may have less to do with objective facts than a Chinese disinformation campaign to turn them against such facilities. Engadget reports that X uncovered a Chinese bot farm with 200,000 accounts, 200 of which were used to manipulate the debate about data centers.
It should be noted that the Chinese are going pedal to the metal to create their own data centers. As a totalitarian country, China is not concerned with public opinion one way or the other. Beijing is determined to dominate AI according to its ideology and interests.

Sands Capital, an investment management company, released its "Sands Capital Select Growth Fund" Q2 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. Select Growth Fund targets U.S. businesses driving significant structural change through disruptive innovation. The fund returned 23.2% in the quarter, outperforming the Russell 1000 Growth Index's 16.7%. U.S. large-cap growth equities rebounded sharply, driven by improving corporate fundamentals and renewed investor confidence in AI, despite geopolitical uncertainties. However, the market's gains were narrow, concentrated among AI beneficiaries. The portfolio's success stemmed from strength in AI infrastructure holdings, especially memory and storage, supported by better pricing and tightening supply. As AI development advances, continuous demand for compute capacity is expected, prompting investments in memory, CPUs, AI chips, and semiconductor manufacturing to address emerging bottlenecks essential for scaling AI. Also, check the fund's top five holdings to see its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund highlighted Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT). Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT) is a leading audio streaming subscription service provider monetizing through paid premium subscriptions and an ad-supported model. On September 1, 2026, Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT) closed at $544.15 per share. Over the past month, Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT) returned 12.84%, but its shares are down 21.97% over the past year. Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT) has a market capitalization of $111.86 billion, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $405.00 to $745.00.
Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund stated the following regarding Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT) shares declined following first-quarter results after management guided margins lower due to a near-term increase in operating expenses. In our view, this spending reflects investment in future product development rather than a structurally higher cost base and likely signals the early stages of a new AI-enabled product cycle. Spotify's 2026 investor day helped address concerns around AI by reinforcing that AI could expand, rather than impair, the business model. Management highlighted a path to mid teens revenue growth through 2030, supported by new monetization opportunities, including AI music features, Audiobook+, and personal podcasts. The Universal Music Group partnership also provides a potential path to turn AI music into a paid feature. We believe Spotify's scale, pricing power, and distribution advantage position it to convert AI-enabled products into higher revenue per user and long-term margin expansion."

Caroline Manzo isn't holding any ill will toward Brandi Glanville.
As In Touch previously reported, Manzo, 65, filed a lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, Peacock and Shed Media over an alleged ****** ault by Glanville, 53, while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in January 2023.
Manzo claimed the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star got handsy, and "forcibly" kissed and groped her during a booze-fueled incident in Morocco amid production of RHUGT, halting filming and ultimately leading to the network scrapping the entire season.
Now, more than three years later, Manzo is opening up about her feelings toward Glanville and her hopes for the future as the lawsuit remains in litigation.
"I have no malice towards Brandi; I really don't. I like Brandi," the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum said during a recent appearance on the Legally Goff podcast.

San Francisco sports fans will luckily not have to rely on their Netflix subscription to see yet another local team's opener this year.
The NFL has advertised its 49ers-Rams game in Melbourne next week, the league's first game in Australia ever, as something you can only watch on Netflix. While that might be true for the majority of the country, local Niners fans will have a free alternative in NBC Bay Area.
"NBC Bay Area will televise Netflix's presentation of 49ers-Rams locally in the Bay Area, with coverage beginning at 4:30 p.m. PT with an NBC Bay Area special anchored in studio by Janelle ******* and Raj Mathai, with live reports from Australia from Anthony Flores," a news release from NBC Universal reads.
This is a result of the league's simulcast rules, which contractually require the league to show a local market's team for free, even if the game is on an exclusive streaming service. This applies to Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football and now the International Game.
It's a policy that the league is quite proud of. In a news release announcing media distribution agreements through 2033, there's a line that reads "The NFL continues to be the only sports league that delivers all of its games - regular-season and playoffs - on free, over-the-air television."

Transformers director Michael Bay recently revealed that he spoke with original franchise star Shia LaBeouf earlier this year. However, their conversation did not touch on the actor's legal troubles. LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans on February 17 following a confrontation during Mardi Gras. He was charged with three counts after allegedly punching two men outside a French Quarter bar.
Bay, who directed LaBeouf in three Transformers movies, told TMZ that he last communicated with LaBeouf roughly six months ago. The 61-year-old said, "He called me, and this was a very nice call he gave. He said he went on the Transformers Universal ride with his daughter."
Bay said LaBeouf told him he had finally watched their movies through his daughter's eyes and cried. LaBeouf had never told his daughter that he appeared in the films, but she was drawn to the Transformers ride. Bay called the experience a "great story." LaBeouf, who played the lead character, Sam Witwicky, shares a four-year-old daughter, Isabel, with The Odyssey actress Mia Goth.
Bay also revealed that he has not checked in with the actor since their previous conversation. However, he added, "He's a great guy, and he's a great actor. I had an amazing time working with him, and I think he's a very good person."
The New Orleans Police Department confirmed that officers were called to the Royal Street Inn and Bar in Faubourg Marigny following an alleged altercation involving LaBeouf. Court documents say a manager tried to escort him out, but the actor allegedly attempted to hit. LaBeouf then allegedly punched a male patron who stepped in to help the manager.

If you spend enough time online, chances are that you have seen some pretty surprising stuff go viral. From everyone's favorite raccoon (hello, Jimothy) to those reaction GIFs we love to send, you never know what is going to resonate with people.
And while most stories that go viral have some sort of surprising or universal trait in common, every once in a while someone's post will take off like wildfire, spreading across the internet at breakneck speeds. That's exactly what Instagrammer sierranicolereece says happened after she shared a video with her followers before bed that ended up receiving hundreds of thousands of likes.
The topic? Sierra Nicole Reece was simply looking for a brand deal with the Minnesota State Fair, and she asked about it in the most relatable way possible, saying, "Forget Coachella. I'm trying to go to the Minnesota State Fair. They got brand deals for that?"
Now, Reece's viral post appears to have gotten her exactly what she was looking for, which included a sponsorship deal from the fair organizers. And with the fair's opening day just around the corner, everyone is checking back in with Reece to see how her viral request is working out.
The six-second clip appeared on Reece's Instagram account on April 16, 2026. The video featured a close-up of her face as she lay in bed in her PJs. After she hit post, she snuggled up under the covers in her dad's New Jersey home, where she drifted off to sleep completely unaware that her short video was completely blowing up online.

Brennan ******* et Management recently released its Q2 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. Investors were optimistic about a potential truce with Iran, highlighted by a mid-June memorandum for negotiations on regional security and sanctions, causing oil prices to drop and the market to rally. Despite geopolitical uncertainties, investors remain focused on a surge in AI infrastructure spending, which is expected to heavily influence the global economy, although questions about the returns from this investment loom. Overall, the S&P 500 remains at high valuations, seemingly unfazed by these challenges, while there are few pockets of value left, mostly outside the U.S. market. Also, check the fund's top five holdings to see its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Brennan ******* et Management highlighted Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR). Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) is a US-based broadband connectivity company. On August 28, 2026, Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) closed at $153.62 per share. The one-month return of Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) was 5.25%, and its shares lost -42.89% over the past 52 weeks. Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) has a market capitalization of $26.9 billion.
Brennan ******* et Management stated the following regarding Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR): Universally Hated, We've Been Very Wrong But…~50% Forward Free Cash Flow Yield Incongruous with 2030 Bonds Near Par
As noted earlier, it is incredibly difficult to hold onto winners over time, especially when one has an experience like CHTR. As we have discussed in prior letters, CHTR was once a fantastic winner for us -- really. We sold roughly half and, with the benefit of hindsight, life would be easier if we had sold the rest. What makes it hard is less arithmetic than psychology. A winner that visibly surrenders its gains inflicts far more mental anguish than the same dollar gain ever delivers in pleasure. That asymmetry – the very loss aversion we described with TIGO and GTX – is exactly what tempts investors to sell the sort of hated, mispriced name they should be holding.

The notion college sports are for college students who will move on when they complete their degree or turn pro enjoys near-universal support. But right now, that fundamental boundary is being dismantled amid a relentless wave of litigation.
In two cases, the NCAA has been ordered to allow professional basketball players to return to college basketball, despite the fact they intentionally left college to go to the NBA Draft and each played in several NBA games. In another case, a judge required the NCAA to allow an athlete to compete for a fifth school in five years. And in the past two weeks, without so much as a hearing, let alone a trial, two courts permitted NFL players to return immediately to college football. These few examples are merely the tip of the iceberg.
POWER PLAY: College football's 25 most powerful people
OP-ED: Federal antitrust protection is only workable path to saving college sports
Eligibility rules have long held a simple purpose: Ensuring a fair playing field while preserving access to the life-changing benefits college sports provide to actual college students. For decades, that standard meant allowing student-athletes four seasons of competition over five years. Recognizing the need for evolution, NCAA member schools recently updated this rule to allow up to five years of competition before age 24. However, since the start of 2025, more than 165 lawsuits have been filed seeking to tear down these basic limits.

Barcelona's golden duo Raphinha and Lamine Yamal both netted braces in the team's clash against Rayo Vallecano on Monday night, taking the team to the top of the table once more with a perfect score and a staggering twelve goals scored in three games.
The Brazilian promptly equalised to nullify Rayo Vallecano's opener before Lamine Yamal fired the team into the lead in the first half.
After the break, Anthony Gordon forced an own-goal with a vicious cross that took a deflection before he combined once again with Raphinha for the team's fourth goal on the night.
Somewhere along the way, Rayo Vallecano stole another goal back, but Barcelona showed no mercy and eventually made it five goals with Lamine Yamal netting his second goal.
Barça Universal brings you three takeaways from Barcelona 5-2 Rayo Vallecano.

Real Madrid's start to life at the Santiago Bernabeu for the new season could not have gone any better as they destroyed Real Sociedad by a 4-1 scoreline in their first game in front of home fans.
Later today, they play their second consecutive clash at home, this time in an earlier kickoff against Malaga.
The newly promoted side have had a mixed start to life in the first division, losing to Atletico Madrid on Matchday 1 but salvaging a 1-1 draw against Deportivo de A Coruna in their subsequent game.
Needless to say, however, Real Madrid pose their biggest challenge yet, and it is safe to say that Jose Mourinho's men will be the overwhelming favourites coming into the game.
Madrid Universal brings you three talking points ahead of Real Madrid vs Malaga.

Let's face it, by the time the third preseason game rolls around, most of the battles have been fought, debates have taken place, and roster decisions have been made. With final rosters due on August 30, teams have no time to waste whittling down from 90 to 53.
The Dallas Cowboys are certainly no exception. Unlike most teams coming off losing seasons, Dallas has most of the roster spots written in stone. Very few spots are up for grabs, so for those operating on the periphery, margins are razor thin and mistakes cannot be afforded.
It's these handful of players who stood out in all the wrong ways in the Cowboys' 27-24 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Friday night. While Jaishawn Barham, Camden Brown and Joe Milton III all performed admirably, far too many others wilted under the pressure.
Cowboys Nation almost universally joined the Trigg bandwagon from the jump. An above-the-rim tight end from Baylor was Dallas' prized rookie undrafted free agent this year. With so much potential to work with, character concerns and blocking deficiencies could be overlooked, provided he dazzled with ball skills.
Sadly, Trigg did not dazzle. While he showed a willingness to block, he wasn't particularly good at it on Friday against the Saints. To make matters worse, Trigg struggled to catch the ball making his place on the Cowboys final 53 a longshot.

Barcelona made it six points in two games with their win over Athletic Club last night as they took the Basque giants down with a 2-0 scoreline at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Pedri, Pau Cubarsi and Anthony Gordon entered the starting lineup on the night and the team looked comfortable, yet threatening from the get-go.
Raphinha eventually scored the opener with some wonderful footwork and Barcelona toiled to earn the second goal to pull free of the competition.
Eventually, a bit of luck and Fermin Lopez's lethality helped the team secure the 2-0 win and helped them back to the top of the table.

Barcelona's game against Athletic Club last night may well have been as dominant as the team's win over Elche, but the scoreline did not reflect the same.
The Catalans were the dominating side by some distance once again and barely gave the visitors any chances at all. However, their efficiency in front of goal was not as clean as the previous time around, and that made all the difference.
Raphinha opened the scoring in the first half with a cold finish, handing the team the lead at half-time and putting in a captain's shift once more. The team, however, struggled to find the second goal for long time.
Eventually, Fermin Lopez delivered by poaching a goal in the 81st minute to make it 2-0 and put the result beyond doubt.

Greenlight Capital is an investment management firm specializing in value-oriented strategies. The letter can be downloaded here. Greenlight Capital released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, reporting a 4.3% decline for the Partnerships and a 1.9% year-to-date gain, net of fees and expenses, compared with gains of 15.2% and 10.2% for the S&P 500 Index. The funds entered the quarter conservatively, but costly trading decisions and macro positions, particularly in gold and U.S. interest rates, weighed on results. Long positions contributed roughly 9%, offset by similar losses from shorts. The letter also highlighted concerns over speculative market conditions, using ****** eX's $1.75 trillion IPO valuation and investment-grade rating as examples of excess. Looking ahead, Greenlight is more constructive on Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh's inflation stance and expects positions to recover if inflation moderates and rates remain unchanged. Additionally, reviewing the Strategy's top holdings could help identify its best ideas for 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Greenlight Capital highlighted Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA). Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is a leading media and technology company. On August 26, 2026, Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) closed at $27.20 per share. Over the past month, Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) returned 12.76%, while its shares have declined 15.13% in the last 52 weeks. Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has a market capitalization of $3.51 billion, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $21.28 to $32.86.
Greenlight Capital stated the following regarding Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is a diversified media and technology company with broadband, video and wireless businesses, alongside media, studios and theme parks. The stock declined about 60% over the past five years as structural and competitive pressures have weighed on its legacy broadband and video businesses. At our entry price of $23.91 per share, CMCSA traded at only 5x EBITDA, which we believe significantly undervalues its free cash flow generation and the collective value of its businesses. At the end of the quarter, CMCSA announced the spin-off of NBCUniversal, an important step that we believe should help highlight the value embedded within the company. CMCSA shares ended the quarter at $24.55."
Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is not on our list of the 40 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds. As per our database, 82 hedge fund portfolios held Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) at the end of the second quarter which was 78 in the previous quarter. While we acknowledge the potential of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. The Santiago Bernabeu reopened its gates for the first time this season on Wednesday night as Real Madrid took on Real Sociedad in what should have been their first game of the season.
Jose Mourinho made no changes to his starting lineup on the night and preserved the exact core that won against Espanyol – thereby rewarding the XI with continuity.
The players, needless to say, did not let the manager down as they finished the game with a 4-1 win and a dominant show.
Kylian Mbappe netted a wonderful hat-trick while Vinicius Jr. added the cherry on top with a simple finish. All in all, however, the men in white delivered a complete performance across all departments.
Madrid Universal brings you three takeaways from Real Madrid 4-1 Real Sociedad.

Some stars are remembered for their talent, while others are admired for the human they are beyond their work. Dolly Parton stands out for both, leaving an international redditor curious about what made her so beloved. Following the country star's death on August 25, the redditor asked a simple question in a thread on r/NoStupidQuestions: what did the singer do to become so universally appreciated?
People flooded the comments to explain exactly why the star was considered an absolute treasure. Commenters share a list of reasons why her legacy goes far beyond hit songs and blockbuster movies.
Although the country superstar escaped a childhood of extreme poverty and achieved global success, she dedicated a significant portion of her wealth to uplifting her native East Tennessee. People highlight how her business ventures served as a lifeline for a struggling region.
Aside from local economic stimulus, the singer built an educational foundation that touched millions of families across the globe. Commenters admire how she heavily incentivized graduation rates and established a major book distribution network for children under 5 called the Imagination Library.
Celebrities often struggle to maintain an authentic persona off-camera, yet Parton earned a reputation for treating everyone with genuine respect behind closed doors, deflecting cruel interview questions and casually lifting up other artists.

Loomis Sayles, an investment management company, released its "Global Growth Fund" investor letter for Q2 2026. You can download a copy of the letter here. The fund returned 6.43%, underperforming the MSCI ACWI Index's 14.93% return. The fund employs a long-term private equity investment strategy, focusing on high-quality businesses with sustainable competitive advantages, investing at significant discounts to intrinsic value. At quarter-end, the fund maintained an overweight in communication services, consumer discretionary and healthcare sectors, and an underweight in information technology, financials, industrials, and consumer staples sectors. Also, please check the Fund's top five holdings to see its best picks for 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Loomis Sayles Global Growth Fund highlighted Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) as a leading performance contributor. Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG), the parent company of Google, offers various platforms and services, including online search and advertising, cloud solutions, and artificial intelligence. On August 21, 2026, Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) closed at $341.75 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $4.2 trillion. Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) posted a one-month return of 4.65%, while its shares gained 63.39% over the past 52 weeks.
Loomis Sayles Global Growth Fund stated the following regarding Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is a holding company that owns a collection of businesses, the largest and most important of which by far is Google. Google is the global leader in online search and advertising and also offers cloud solutions to businesses and consumers globally, with a goal of organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible and useful. Google dominates the US and global traditional search market with a greater than 80% share of search volumes. As a function of seeing more searches, Google is able to provide better search results, resulting in a higher customer conversion rate for advertisers and enabling Google to capture a leading share of search revenue. Google's large network of consumers, advertisers, and publishers is a powerful business ecosystem as third-party participants such as marketing affiliates and independent software vendors add value to the user experience. As a result, we believe consumers get their best and most relevant search results and advertisers get the best returns on their advertising dollars. Such a robust ecosystem attracts increasing numbers of participants and thereby creates a virtuous cycle for a sustainable business model and long-term growth. Carter Grandbois was 16 years old, working for a junk-removal operator in Johnstown, Colorado, when he noticed the cash. His boss kept a thick stack of it in the center console of his truck. Grandbois went home and talked to his dad, and within days, they bought a trailer. The first job paid $500 for 30 minutes of work. "That was kind of an eye-opener," Grandbois, now 18 and working for himself full-time, told Fortune.
Carter's Junk Away bills as much as $15,000 a month in peak season, Grandbois said. His W-2 employees are his high school friends, but he admits that he wasn't able to scale up and reach profitability until he created a pricing calculator, started tracking data, and started using systems to get consistent lead flows.
"I'm really into vibe-coding and creating software," he explained. "After that, we were able to be profitable on every single job," he said proudly. "When our team is out… they're bidding jobs spot-on every single time. So every time they complete a job, I mean, we're making anywhere from $50 to $200 without being on the truck." He said he earns about $125 to $1,000 per junk-removal job and he is increasingly overseeing the business from home as he scales, which is what he means by not "being on the truck."
Grandbois wants to share the wealth, too, via social media. (He's on TikTok at american.junkremoval.) "I was like, 'Hey, like everyone else could totally use this for their business.'" Now he has two calculators—a universal one for everyone and another, "private junk-removal calculator," which he described as detailed for a "more experienced junk-removal business." When asked about potentially creating his own rivals, he shrugged. "That is one of the things with giving away stuff for free. You never know who's watching the content. But at the end of the day, I know I'm doing something good for anyone else who's trying to start."
After all, he explained, it was his inspiration. Where another generation might have read about, say, Warren Buffett in Fortune magazine, he reflected, "it's probably just like Instagram reels where you're scrolling and you're like, 'That guy has a Lamborghini. That dude has a McLaren. Why can't I have one of those?'"

Such a robust ecosystem attracts increasing numbers of participants and thereby creates a virtuous cycle for a sustainable business model and long-term growth. In its emerging cloud business, we estimate that Google captures less than 10% market share of the global market for public cloud services. We believe Google remains one of the few global companies that has the scale, research and development (R&D), and technical talent to effectively compete in this market over the long te

"Please, boys. Don't make my final years a misery." The words of the future King Charles III as he pleaded with his two sons to patch things up at their grandfather's funeral in April 2021 have just acquired a whole new resonance.
The "boys", better known as Prince William and Prince Harry, never did make up. Indeed, their feud only darkened and deepened as the elder brother fumed at the younger's treachery towards the Royal family in general, and his wife, in particular. (Outrageously, in her interview with Oprah, Meghan accused unnamed members of the family of racism in relation to her unborn baby's skin colour.)
The last time Harry and William stood together, just the two of them, was in July 2021 at the unveiling of a bronze statue of their late mother on what would have been her 60th birthday. The pair could barely look at each other. For William, Harry's deeply personal and spiteful revelations two years later in his biography, Spare, were an unimaginable betrayal by the human being he once trusted best.

A lid could be kept on that seething Shakespearean sibling rivalry, as long as Diana's beloved boys, now men in their 40s, were separated by an ocean. Harry and Meghan found freedom in California from the stultifying Windsor ways they so publicly scorned. The Waleses were left to steady the ship after the turbulence of "Megxit". They did so admirably and to universal acclaim despite Princess Catherine's shocking brush with cancer.

Real Madrid kicked off their new campaign with a win last night against Espanyol, but it was anything but comfortable.
Jose Mourinho's side were made to suffer in Barcelona against a spirited Espanyol side who came out all guns blazing to punish Los Blancos' shaky defence.
It was a special night in some senses as the likes of Marc Cucurella, Yan Diomande, Bernardo Silva, Carlos Espi and Ibrahima Konate all made their official debuts.
Yet, it was also a night that showed that there is still a long way to go before Mourinho's effects can be seen in the squad. After all, there was not much to celebrate on the night beyond the debuts and a few solid showings.
Madrid Universal brings you three takeaways from Espanyol 1-2 Real Madrid.
