Eagles news: Saquon Barkley drops NSFW declaration amid concerns about his age appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Stars in any sport often start a decline once they approach the age of 30. Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley looks to go against that concept going into the 2026 NFL season.
Barkley took part in an interview with The Athletic, discussing multiple topics about his career accomplishments and projections. Turning 30 next February, he cited Barry Sanders and other NFL Hall of Famers who continued playing remarkable after turning 30, looking to join them in the process.
"The competitor in me, who I am to the core, I want to say F*** everybody. You don't think I'm able to put myself in that category? Why can't I put myself in that category for another five more years? That's the mentality I have," Barkley said.

The Pittsburgh Steelers retained all 10 rookie draft members on their 53-man roster, Eli Heidenreich who made the last selection. Heidenreich ousted a tough battle to make the final cut. But he did make it, after beating out several players for the third and final running back spot.
Head Coach Mike McCarthy has now opened up on Heidenreich's clear path to making the roster spot in a recent interview. The gaffer's comments show the technical side of Steelers' coaching crew and what future NFL hopefuls might want to prioritize during training.

Heidenreich was decent as a runner during the preseason. However, his special teams capabilities became a large part of the major reasons behind his selection. Moreover, those abilities give him some time to grow his offensive game. Steelers Depot, a Steelers-dedicated news platform shares McCarthy's comments in a recent tweet.
"It's a big part of it. He has to. I mean, he wouldn't be here today if he wasn't part of special teams responsibility. That's normal for young players, especially someone with Eli's skillset. So, yes, he's definitely making a lot of progress."

Mark Wahlberg is reflecting on one of the most haunting "what ifs" of his on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The actor was almost one of the people aboard the plane that crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower.
Mark was almost aboard the Flight 11 (@ Getty)
The Father Stu star was originally booked on American Airlines Flight 11, which was headed to Los Angeles, but ultimately hijacked on September 11, 2001. Wahlberg had changed his plans and traveled to Toronto instead, narrowly avoiding a flight that killed all 92 people aboard.
On Friday, he shared an Instagram video of an American flag blowing in the wind, writing in the caption, "This anniversary is always a gut punch of emotions…words just can't say it all."
That near miss has followed Wahlberg for years, particularly after comments he made in a 2012 Men's Journal interview sparked backlash. When he was asked what might have happened if he had been on the plane with his children, Wahlberg said, "There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin" and suggested he would have been able to help land the plane safely.

Dolly Parton was a master musician, accomplished cook, and, perhaps most importantly, an excellent communicator. Parton could masterfully handle any insult, joke, or mean-spirited words that came her way.
Communication expert Dorie Clark broke down one of Dolly Parton's most infamous interviews with Barbara Walters from 1978. In it, Walters (knowingly or unknowingly) talked down to Parton about her appearance and upbringing.
But in true Dolly style, she defused anger and outrage with a strategy Clark calls a "label upgrade." It's a trick that worked well for Parton, and one Clark is sure can work for anyone during conversations that may turn offensive without warning.
In the clip shared on her Instagram, Clark highlights moments from the 1978 ABC News interview between Walters and Parton.
Walters first questions Parton about her looks, stating, "Dolly, you don't have to look like this. You're very beautiful. You don't have to wear the blonde wigs. You don't have to wear the extreme clothes, right?"

Sandra Bullock revealed two conscious decisions that shaped her film career. While promoting Practical Magic 2 and speaking with Jennifer Aniston, Bullock revealed what gave her the courage to reject 'perverts' at auditions.
When Aniston asked the Gravity star about decisions that shaped her career, one thing that Bullock mentioned in Interview magazine was, "I was auditioning for every pervert that existed asking me to drop my pants. I was like, 'Nope, not the role for me.' I was working my way up. Every working actor thinks you will never work again, so you just take what you can get and make the most of it."
The 62-year-old's other decision was to step away from rom-coms altogether, after the genre began weighing on how she was perceived as an actress. She stated that she wanted to explore other avenues as an actor: "The only time I was intentional about my career was when I said, 'I need to stop right now with the rom-coms,' because I was getting so much ******* for them. And I took a role in this film called 'Crash'… I wanted to start flexing other muscles."
The Practical Magic star has delivered some of the most iconic rom-coms of the 2000s, such as The Proposal, Two Weeks Notice, and Miss Congeniality. It was in 2002 that the actress decided to branch out to other types of roles, returning in a dramatic capacity with the film Crash. However, she didn't step away from rom-coms completely. The frequency decreased, however.

David Samra, managing director at top 20 investor Artisan Partners and founding partner of ‌International Value Group, said the board needed to strengthen its oversight of acquisitions, calling for action from board chairman Giovanni Caforio.
"I think he needs to make changes at the board level. One of them should be on improving the team that's doing these deals because clearly they have been uninspiring at best," Samra told Reuters in an interview.
"I think that the board needs to improve their oversight of acquisitions... they need to bring in better talent on the board to do that and have an acquisition committee."

With four points from three games, FC Schalke have made more than just a respectable start to this Bundesliga season.
A large part of that is down to goalkeeper Loris Karius, who delivered a superb performance both in the sensational 0-0 draw against Bayern Munich and in the 3-1 away win over Union Berlin. Schalke fans in particular are therefore calling for him to be nominated for the German national team on social media.
Karius was asked about that in a Sky interview after the Union match. The TV reporter wanted to know whether there had already been any contact with Germany coach Jürgen Klopp and how realistic he considered a call-up to the national team.
"No, there has been no contact," Karius replied. "I see it as neither realistic nor unrealistic. I'm not thinking about it."
Even so, the 33-year-old, who has repeatedly faced heavy criticism over the course of his career, admitted: "If people ***** ociate me with that, it's a huge compliment to my performance."

BENGALURU, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Wipro's AI initiatives have increased productivity equivalent to the output of 20,000 employees, who have since been redeployed ‌within the Indian IT firm, its chief technology officer said.
The comments come as India's $315 ‌billion software services industry grapples with adoption of AI, which is reshaping hiring, software development and contracts.

Kelly Osbourne loves her mother, but she is not pretending they agree on everything.
Asked directly about Sharon Osbourne's support for British activist Tommy Robinson during an interview with Attitude at London's National Television Awards, Kelly gave an equally direct answer: "I don't agree with my mum, no."
Kelly acknowledged that political disagreements can be uncomfortable inside a family. She said Sharon is entitled to her own opinions, but made clear that her mother's position is "not for me."
The conversation then moved beyond Robinson to Kelly's relationship with the LGBTQ+ community and her mother's views on trans issues. Kelly credited drag queens with teaching her makeup, the trans community with teaching her about bravery and RuPaul's Drag Race with influencing how she presents herself.
The issue Attitude put to Kelly dates back to April, when Sharon's official Instagram account commented "See you at the march" beneath a video promoting Robinson's Unite the Kingdom event in London.

Davidson added that while "this year is extra tough," it's also "extra beautiful because I get to spend the day with Scottie. It'll be very healing and special."
