Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß is facing an unusual legal dispute away from the football pitch.
Per Tz (as captured by iMiaSanMia), the Bayern Munich honorary president has reportedly been sued by a neighbor over two trees allegedly planted on his property in Bad Wiessee. The neighbor, whose property borders Hoeneß's land to the south, claims the trees were planted in an area where planting is prohibited.
Not shockingly, Hoeneß disputes that interpretation, maintaining that the area in question does not fall within the restricted zone. The case is scheduled to be heard at the Munich II Regional Court next Thursday, with the dispute ultimately coming down to whether the two trees were planted in an area where such planting is permitted.
Hoeneß has declined to comment ahead of the hearing.
It is certainly an unusual situation for one of Bayern Munich's most influential figures, who has spent decades dealing with much bigger issues surrounding the club and German football. You have to imagine that Hoeneß might have (maybe!) had a little chuckle about the dispute.

Frasers Group has raised its stake in Hugo Boss to almost 48%, tightening its grip on the German fashion house after a rejected takeover offer.
The U.K. retailer, controlled by Mike Ashley, launched a voluntary €38-per-share cash offer in June for the Hugo Boss shares it did not already own. At the time, Frasers held about 26.1% of the company.
The offer valued the remaining shares at roughly €2 billion, or about €2.7 billion (about $3.7 billion) for the whole company, but Hugo Boss's management and supervisory boards urged shareholders to reject it, calling the bid financially inadequate.

The Cleveland Browns are back, with the official start of training camp on Wednesday as the team prepares for their first preseason game in a couple of weeks. The first day saw Grant Delpit sign a three-year extension with the team, as well as veteran pass rusher and former Brown Jadeveon Clowney visiting with the team, though they didn't agree to any deal yet.
The Browns announced ahead of Thursday's practice that the team's top two groundskeepers would be retiring before the start of this season. Chris Powell, the team's Head Groundskeeper, has been with the team for 29 seasons, including the last 27 seasons in his position as head groundskeeper.
Scott Springer, the team's Grounds Supervisor, is also retiring after spending 27 seasons working closely with Chris Powell, maintaining both practice fields and the stadium. Chris Powell released this statement after the announcement.
"For me, 27 seasons with the new Browns, to be able to do what we do and still want to come in and enjoy the company, enjoy the task at hand — it's one of these things where we don't want anything to pop up, but it's the challenge that keeps us going. We're not just going out and mowing the grass every day. We approach anything that's not correct and take it as a challenge."

NEW YORK, July 17 (Reuters) - A New York state judge dismissed a lawsuit by a former JPMorgan Chase banker who ‌in graphic terms said his former supervisor coerced him into ‌sex and demanded his submissiveness, though the lawsuit is expected to be refiled in federal court.
Chirayu Rana, the former banker, will pay some legal fees of JPMorgan and his onetime colleague Lorna Hajdini as a condition of the dismissal, Justice Dakota Ramseur wrote on Thursday.
The dismissal, which Rana had ‌requested, does not affect Hajdini's ⁠defamation countersuit against him. Her lawsuit remains in the state court in Manhattan.

Starting this September, Target will begin tracking the unexcused tardiness and absences of its store and warehouse workers with a new points system, according to Business Insider reporting confirmed by the company.
Staffers' attendance violations will be tallied up and addressed accordingly: a quarter of a point for being more than eight minutes late to work, one point for missing a shift without their manager's approval, and three points for skipping on work without telling their boss. The attendance strikes expire every 365 days.
And the higher the number climbs, the more serious the consequences become. If staffers rack up three points, they'll have to check in with their supervisor; after five, counseling is on the table. And ultimately, if employees hit the threshold of 12 points, they'll be shown the door.
Target's attendance system comes as its new CEO, Michael Fiddelke, looks to improve store operations and create a better experience for shoppers. Home to computer memory giants Samsung and SK Hynix, South Korea is the epicenter of money-making in the memory market. Problem is, gigantic profits earned on memory stocks this year have created a Korean stock market bubble, and it may have just popped.
Korea's Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) approved the creation of 16 "single-stock leveraged ETFs" in late May, all of which track Samsung and SK Hynix with 2x leveraged bets on the stocks' performance. When Samsung stock gains 1%, for example, the ETF that tracks it should gain 2% -- but when Samsung loses 1%, the losses would be magnified just as much.

German football clubs must do more to keep potential troublemakers out of stadiums, a conference of state interior ministers (IMK) has said.
An IMK statement said that "the ***** ociated criminal offences, including ***** ault, vandalism and the unauthorised use of pyrotechnics, pose a significant threat to public safety and a peaceful fan culture".
The IMK, bringing together the interior ministers from the 16 federal states, welcomed tough sanctions from the German Football Federation (DFB) such partial stadium closures and a reduction of and personalisation of tickets for travelling fans.
"These measures must then be consistently implemented and monitored by the clubs," it said.
The ministers also welcomed new stadium ban regulations and the creation of a central supervisory and review body for stadium bans within the DFB. They said both must be implemented for the new season and that clubs must enforce all DFB sanctions.

LEIPZIG, Germany (AP) — Former Leipzig coach Ole Werner is unhappy he wasn't given the chance to say goodbye to staff after his surprise dismissal from the club.
Leipzig fired Werner and his ***** istant coaches Tom Cichon and Patrick Kohlmann on Wednesday after what many would consider a successful debut season – third place in the Bundesliga for Champions League.
"Ole did a great job, he led us to the Champions League, but we also have to look forward," said Red Bull head of soccer Jürgen Klopp, who made the decision with Leipzig supervisory board chairman Oliver Mintzlaff.
Werner responded with a letter to the players, staff and fans of Leipzig on LinkedIn, saying "unfortunately the timing of this decision makes it impossible for me to say goodbye to all of you in person."
The 38-year-old coach looked back on what he called a "very positive" time in which he'd been asked to "give the team a new look in terms of its demeanor and style of play, while establishing a new, sustainable hierarchy within the dressing room." He said he made many changes and thinks "together we succeeded in fulfilling this mandate."

NEW YORK, June 15 (Reuters) - Big U.S. lenders are bracing for further public scrutiny over whether they improperly closed customer accounts as a top watchdog wraps up a review that is expected to name and shame banks and result in disciplinary action, said several people with knowledge of the matter.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is poised ‌to publish in coming weeks the findings of a supervisory review of whether lenders including JPMorgan and Bank of America cut off or denied services on religious or political grounds, often dubbed debanking. It has ‌also examined whether lenders denied services to legitimate, conservative-aligned sectors such as fossil-fuel companies, gun makers and crypto, the people said.
Debanking generally refers to the process whereby a financial institution suddenly cuts off or restricts services to individuals or businesses. Following Republican President Donald Trump's order last year, authorities have been cracking down on what Trump has characterized as politically motivated debanking pushed by Democrats, creating headaches for lenders, who deny the claims and say they have merely been following risk management rules.
Republicans have for years been ramping up pressure on Wall Street banks to drop what they describe as left-leaning "woke" policies that they say are discriminatory, and Trump says he has personally had accounts closed for such political reasons.
