The Dallas Cowboys entered Sunday night hoping a players-only meeting and a new defensive voice would help turn the season around. Instead, Green Bay's defense delivered the most convincing response of the night.
The Packers intercepted Dak Prescott twice and held Dallas to 13 points in a 23-13 victory at Lambeau Field. The Cowboys entered the game averaging 27.6 points per game, but they went into halftime trailing 17-0 and could not make up the difference.
Green Bay improved to 4-2 with its third straight win. Dallas fell to 2-4, and the loss extended a frustrating stretch for a team that had hoped to find a spark after its Week 5 defeat.
Prescott's two interceptions halted promising Dallas possessions. Evan Williams picked him off in the second quarter, and rookie Brandon Cisse recorded the first interception of his career later in the half.

J.J. McCarthy has given New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh plenty to consider after an encouraging display off the bench in their 34-27 defeat to the New Orleans Saints.
The quarterback replaced Jameis Winston in the second half and helped the Giants fight back from a 24-point deficit. Although New York fell short, McCarthy's performance could put him in contention to start their next game.
The former first-round pick completed 11 of his 21 pass attempts for 243 yards, one touchdown and one interception, offering a bright spot in a difficult afternoon for the Giants.
McCarthy also made sure to acknowledge the support he received from New York's fanbase, despite the disappointing result.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the quarterback said: "I'm just extremely honored to be a part of the New York Football Giants, because this fanbase is unbelievable.

Many cannot understand why Shea Lacey has not featured in the last four Manchester United games.
The last time the academy graduate played, he produced an eye-opening performance against Leeds. He received the ball with his back to goal, turned sharply, and carved out just enough ****** e to whip a composed left-footed strike past the Brighton defenders and goalkeeper, breaking the deadlock.
United may have lost that game and been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, but Lacey's performance, crowned by a beauty of a goal, should have strengthened his case for starts and more minutes. Instead, Michael Carrick has rewarded that display by gluing him to the bench.
That has been baffling. In every game since, United have been crying out for a goal, a spark, or something different from the bench. Yet Carrick has ignored him while the team struggles to score, managing only three goals despite creating plenty of chances.
One of JJ Gabriel's biggest concerns, and his reason for wanting out, is that he is not being guaranteed the game time he believes he deserves. Would the Lacey treatment give him, or any other academy star, hope of a key role under Carrick?

When Kawhi Leonard became a Toronto Raptor for the first time in the summer of 2018, he looked shellshocked. "There's just more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself," he said, introducing himself to an organization and city he reportedly had no interest in joining.
Leonard had fallen out with his former team, the San Antonio Spurs – one of the most respected franchises in professional sports – due to differences in opinion about an injury that had limited him to just nine games in the 2017-18 season. The Los Angeles native had hoped to end up in southern California, but instead the Raptors risked it all by swapping franchise cornerstone DeMar DeRozan for one year of an injured, malcontent Leonard. It worked: Leonard led the Raptors to their maiden championship on the back of a historic playoff run, averaging 30.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.9 **** ists and 1.7 steals en route. Leonard won his second finals MVP to go alongside the one he had claimed with the Spurs when he helped them to the **** le in 2014.

"The narrative of not wanting to come to this city is gone," the team's president, Masai Ujiri, said at that 2018 press conference, speaking to insecure Raptors fans who had watched American players like Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Chris Bosh leave Toronto since the franchise opened its doors in 1995. "We should move past that. Believe in this city. Believe in yourselves … We are proud of who we are."
But even a historic season wasn't enough to convince Leonard to stay north of the border. After a long and contentious free-agency period managed by his uncle, Dennis Robertson, Leonard spurned the reigning champions in favor of his hometown Los Angeles Clippers. "There wasn't as much anger in 2019 as there was with Vince Carter or some of the other guys who left," says Bruce Arthur, who has covered Leonard since 2018 for the Toronto Star. "I think he was given a little bit of special dispensation because he was going home, because he had delivered a **** le, and because I never felt like there was ever a connection outside of Kawhi the basketball player, with Toronto."

Niclas Füllkrug has been a big success at Werder Bremen since returning on loan from West Ham in the summer, with a brace against SC Paderborn at the weekend taking his tally to seven goals in as many games for the Green-Whites this season.
Given Füllkrug's impressive form, questions are already being asked about Werder's chances of keeping the 33-year-old beyond this season, with sporting managing director Clemens Fritz addressing the topic on the Sky programme "Sky90 – die Fußballdebatte" on Sunday.
"Ultimately, there are three parties involved: West Ham, Niclas and Werder Bremen. And that is, of course, what makes it challenging. With two parties, things are sometimes a little easier," Fritz said.
One positive for Werder is that Füllkrug is happy at the club.
"Niclas feels comfortable in Bremen. He does us an enormous amount of good. Of course, I would be delighted if he stayed with us beyond this season, and I'm sure the whole of Bremen would feel the same. At the moment, however, it's still too early," Fritz added.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan caught six of nine targets for 86 yards in a Week 6 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: McMillan followed his career-best 14 reception, 192-yard, two-touchdown performance in Week 4 against Detroit with another solid outing after the team's Week 5 bye. The second-year player is averaging 9.4 targets per game this season and has five or more catches and 75 or more yards in four of five games. He is a consistent WR2 in all formats, including Week 7 against Tampa Bay.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith caught seven of 14 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in a Week 6 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Many ******* ysts predicted Smith to have a breakout season in 2026, but a rash of injuries - including one to Smith himself - has kept that from happening so far. The sixth-year veteran set a career high in targets in this one after missing the last two weeks with a hamstring injury. It might be a bit of a ******* py road the rest of the way - certainly for as long as Tanner McKee is his quarterback - but volume should not be an issue for him. (He's averaging 10.3 targets per game in four games this season.) He could catch a bit of a break in Week 7 as the struggling Cowboys pay a visit to Philly on Monday night. Smith could push for WR1 production in that one, although he is a safer WR2 bet.

Dallas Cowboys WR George Pickens had six catches (on 11 targets) for 73 yards versus the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: In the latest example of "garbage time points count the same," Pickens rode some consolation opportunities to lead the Cowboys in receiving with 73 yards on Sunday night. Prior to that, it was a forgettable evening for Dallas' No. 2 receiver. While it's still relatively early, it's safe to say that Pickens has not had the same level of impact that he did last season -- in 16 games (tossing out Week 18 when he hardly played), Pickens averaged 89 yards per game with nine TDs; thus far in 2026, he's averaging 71 yards per game with just one score. The fifth-year pro came into the season as a borderline WR1, but he's settled into being more of a midrange WR2.

The overall performance certainly wasn't perfect, but the Green Bay Packers still rolled to a two-score win over the visiting Dallas Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" from Lambeau Field in Week 6. Brian Schottenheimer's team was well-rested after playing on Thursday night in Week 5 and not lacking motivation after a humbling home defeat in primetime, but the Packers still raced out to a 17-0 lead and ended up leading the game by two scores for most of the night. Matt LaFleur's team has won three straight games and is 4-2 overall, an acceptable record given the ups and downs of the early season.
Three big things from the Packers' win over the Cowboys:
Facing Dak Prescott, Javonte Williams, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens without Micah Parsons, Edgerrin Cooper and Javon Hargrave provided a big test for Jonathan Gannon's defense, and the group passed it with flying colors. The Cowboys managed only 13 points, of which seven came in garbage time, and Gannon continually had Prescott under pressure and making rushed and confused decisions against the blitz or the pre-snap appearance of a blitz. Prescott averaged only 4.8 yards per attempt, and the Packers got a pair of interceptions inside their own 30-yard line and a pair of fourth down stops on pass attempts in the fourth quarter. More and more, the home opener disaster against the Atlanta Falcons is looking like a blip on the radar. The Packers have allowed fewer than 14 points in three straight games since.
The Packers offensive line took several steps forward in games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears, largely due to the settling of performances at both guard spots. But Sunday night represented a step in the wrong direction and provided evidence that the problems along the offensive line aren't solved quite yet. Jordan Love was under pressure on 45.5 percent of his pass attempts, his highest percentage since Week 1. And the run game accomplished next to nothing, averaging only 2.2 yards per attempt overall and 1.8 yards on runs by Pierre Strong Jr., MarShawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson. The Packers got by because Love was excellent under pressure early, and the defense made enough stops so that the struggles moving the ball in the second half didn't matter. The inconsistency of the offensive line, drops in big spots and untimely penalties still look like the Packers' biggest hurdles.
Rookie kicker Trey Smack calmed fears of any prolonged struggles by making all five of his kicks, including all three field goals. Even on a breezy night inside Lambeau Field, Smack enjoyed a bounce-back performance -- even if only one of his five kicks was from over 40 yards (a 44-yard field goal). More importantly, Smack didn't let last week's issues bleed into a new opportunity. Against the Bears, his three misses cost the Packers seven points. On Sunday night, Smack's five converted kicks created 11 points in a 10-point win.

Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb had nine receptions for 70 yards in a Week 6 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Lamb was targeted a game-high 18 times.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Lamb was given no shortage of opportunities to make plays against the Packers with his 18 targets dwarfing second-place George Pickens, who had 11. He did almost nothing in terms of explosiveness, however, averaging 7.8 yards per catch with his longest reception covering just 17 yards. It's a disappointing trend for Lamb, who has averaged fewer than 10 yards per reception in half of his six games thus far in 2026. Despite that, fantasy owners know how high Lamb's ceiling is, so he should remain locked in your lineup as a solid WR1.

Catherine Breed completed a never-before-attempted 900-mile open-water swim along the entire California coast on Sunday.
The 33-year-old, record-setting marathon swimmer from Mill Valley battled chilly, unpredictable Pacific waters for four months. She began the unprecedented expedition at the Oregon border on July 1, and expected to reach Mexican waters in November. Breed finished ahead of schedule.
"For months, I measured my world in the next few miles," Breed said. "Every message from someone following along, every person who came out to cheer, helped me get back in the water."
Along the way, Breed swam past the Golden Gate Bridge, the kelp forests of the Monterey Bay and around Point Conception near Santa Barbara, averaging more than 10 miles a day through notoriously rugged waters. Fans following along on social media and gathering at meeting points celebrated each stroke.
The marathon swim project, dubbed "Swim California," was a complex team operation. In the water, a pacer tossed Breed protein shakes in a thermos for sustenance. Breed and the crew accompanying her in a 52-foot sailboat made land each night before returning to the spot she left off. At times, they were forced to wait for suitable weather to advance through the coast's most remote stretches.

Amcor plc (NYSE:AMCR) isn't a flashy business. Most people probably don't know much about the company, even though they come across its products every day. The company makes the packaging used for food, drinks, healthcare products, beauty products, and plenty of other everyday items.
That gives the company an interesting quality from an investment perspective. Consumers may cut back on certain purchases when the economy gets tougher, but they still need to buy food, medicine, and other basic products. About 60% of Amcor's markets are tied to nutrition, while health, beauty, and wellness make up another 25%. Billionaires are gravitating towards another packaging company, and that has also returned nearly 20% in the past year. Find here.
The company's size is another advantage. Amcor operates across a large global manufacturing network and has relationships with major customers that have been built over many years. It also offers a wide range of packaging formats and materials. For a large multinational customer, being able to deal with one supplier across multiple markets can be a meaningful advantage. The Berry Global acquisition has made Amcor even larger, although it also brought more debt onto the balance sheet.
Amcor plc (NYSE:AMCR) pays $0.65 per share every quarter, giving investors an annual dividend of $2.60. At the October 7 closing price of $41.26, that works out to a yield of about 6.3%. That's a big yield for a company selling products that are tied to everyday consumption. However, a high yield doesn't automatically make a dividend attractive. What matters is whether the business can actually afford to keep paying it. Amcor's latest numbers offer some comfort. Its steady dividend growth is one reason the stock remains popular with income-focused investors.
The company generated $1.303 billion in free cash flow during fiscal 2026, while adjusted diluted EPS came in at $4.02, up 13% from the previous year. Amcor also increased its annual dividend to $2.60. On an adjusted earnings basis, the payout ratio is around 65%. That's not unusual for a mature company and doesn't immediately raise a red flag.

Hurricane Isaias, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season, is expected to strengthen when it approaches the northern Gulf Coast on Friday, prompting mandatory evacuations, school closures in parts of Florida and the threat of a life-threatening storm surge, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Isaias is forecast to make landfall within the warning area late Friday or early Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, which warned of damaging hurricane-force winds. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Isaias was expected to remain a strong hurricane throughout this period.
It is unclear exactly where Isaias might make landfall. Current models show the center of the storm coming onshore anywhere from eastern Mississippi to the western tip of the Florida Panhandle.
The NWS said residents in portions of the Florida Panhandle, southern Alabama, some parts of Mississippi, including the south, should "prepare for the possibility of long-duration power outages."
The governors of Florida and Alabama declared states of emergency for dozens of counties. Okaloosa County in Florida announced mandatory evacuations for some coastal areas. "Residents should take this storm seriously and evacuate," the county government said in a news release.

When True Food Kitchen filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Oct. 4, the chain's CEO Jeff Chandler tried to make it clear that the company planned to continue operating.
"This process is the best path forward to simplify the business and focus on what we do best: delivering craveable, health-forward food and genuine hospitality. We are confident this step will help us build a stronger True Food Kitchen for the future," he said in a press release.
True Food Kitchen serves an upscale clientele looking for healthy food. Most of its stores are located in higher-end shopping or lifestyle plazas. That contributed to its financial problems, Chad Van Horn, founder and managing partner of Van Horn Law Group in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., shared with TheStreet.
"True Food Kitchen did not file because people stopped eating there. Sales were essentially flat, about $312 million last year against $314 million the year before, and the reported debt is around $42 million. That is a cost and footprint problem, not a demand problem," he said.
As part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, True Food Kitchen shared that it had already closed 12 restaurants. Those locations completed their final service on Oct. 4, but the initial release did not share which locations were closing.

A woman claims she's cracked the code on identifying people you need to stay away from. In a TikTok video, Sid (sidandlisten) explained that her extensive experience watching true crime documentaries, along with her background in managing a YouTube channel that focused on true crime at one point, has given her insights into the types of people to be cautious of when dating.
"If you are dating someone and they have dead eyes, like, they. They. It doesn't express anything, and they just kind of look at you like this without moving their eyes or anything like that, and, like, there's just, like, no movement. There's no movement at all," Sid said. As she mentioned this, she stared blankly into the camera in an effort to show what the expression would look like in person.
Sid then highlighted another thing people should look out for when dating: pursed lips. "And they purse their lips like this when they're talking, and their eyes are really dead. Run!," Sid said in her video's conclusion.
Sid's video has gained more than 2 million views, with thousands of people liking, commenting, sharing, and saving it. Speaking of the comments, some people appear to agree with Sid, primarily because of their personal experience.
One person wrote, "this is 100% True. my grandma used to always tell my mum "you can tell a person by their eyes", needless to say I didn't heed this information and ended up in a relationship where I was almost part of the next true crime series…(run before they start planning to skin you alive folks LOL…)" Another person said, "girl I can see it. I used to avoid people I would meet and had an empty look in their eyes 20 even 30 years ago… you can just tell when someone is basically possessed…"

Railroads made Cornelius Vanderbilt America's richest person by the 1860s, dying in 1877 with an estate estimated at $95 million to $105 million, larger than U.S. Treasury holdings. By share of GDP, Vanderbilt places third among the richest Americans, behind Rockefeller and Carnegie. Within years, his industry's financing gave way, a warning for today's AI expansion.
The rail network doubled from 35,000 to 70,000 miles between 1865 and 1872, with bonds financing more than three-quarters of it. On September 18, 1873, Jay Cooke's bank failed. The New York Stock Exchange closed for ten days, its first closure ever.

Prince Harry has reportedly expressed worry about Prince William's plans for Princess Diana. For context, the Duke of Sussex might make a documentary for his mother's 30th death anniversary. Now, as per a source, William has his own plans to pay tribute to the late royal, which hasn't sat well with Harry.
According to RadarOnline, Prince Harry is not happy about Prince William's plans for Princess Diana's 30th death anniversary. The Prince of Wales is reportedly considering posthumously regaining his mother's HRH style. Diana lost her Her Royal Highness style after her divorce from King Charles in 1996.
Amid this, a royal source stated that the Duke of Sussex "is raging because he feels William potentially has a card available to him that he simply cannot play." They continued, "Harry can make a documentary, give interviews and celebrate Diana's humanitarian legacy, but William is the heir to the throne and has a completely different kind of influence within the monarchy."
The source added, "If William can ultimately help restore something that was taken away from their mother, Harry sees that as an incredibly tangible gesture." The insider further noted, "A television program comes and goes, whereas putting HRH Diana back into the historical record would endure." Thus, the Duke allegedly feels this would make "anything he produces look secondary."
This is what annoys Harry, and he doesn't wish remembering his mother "to become some competition between brothers." However, the Duke "also doesn't want to feel that William has outclassed and outdone him with the one tribute Harry could never deliver himself."

In late September 2026, AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG announced an expanded collaboration with Marvell Technology to increase advanced IC substrate capacity for next-generation AI and cloud infrastructure, while Marvell also affirmed a quarterly dividend of US$0.06 per share payable on October 29, 2026.
This deeper manufacturing partnership gives Marvell greater access to complex packaging technologies that are increasingly critical for high-performance AI chips and data center hardware.
Next, we'll examine how this expanded AT&S manufacturing capacity could influence Marvell's AI-focused growth story and longer-term investment narrative.
The future of work is here. Discover the 89 top robotics and automation stocks leading the charge in AI-driven automation and industrial transformation.
To own Marvell, you need to believe its AI and data center franchises can justify today's rich valuation and eventually translate into stronger, more consistent earnings power. The expanded AT&S IC substrate deal directly supports Marvell's near term AI optics and custom silicon ramp, while also amplifying the existing risk that long term supplier prepayments and capacity commitments could weigh on margins and free cash flow if AI demand or customer ramps slow.

Wealthy baby boomers have spent decades building their fortunes—and the foundations, donor-advised funds, and giving traditions that come with them. But as the $124 trillion Great Wealth Transfer gets underway, a growing share of the older generation isn't so sure their kids will carry on tradition the way they hope.
Fewer than half of wealthy Americans (47%) believe the next generation is prepared to take on family philanthropic causes, down from 55% in 2024, according to research from Bank of America released last week. The share of parents who believe their children share their commitment to giving back fell even more sharply to 65% from 76%. The bank surveyed more than 1,430 wealthy individuals in the U.S. aged 21 or older with at least $3 million in investable ******* ets, excluding primary residence.
The confidence gap in philanthropy mirrors a broader anxiety wealth advisors have noticed about whether heirs are ready for any of it.
"This is a very real concern I'm hearing from ultra-affluent families right now," Tom Thiegs, managing director of leadership and legacy at Ascent Private Capital Management with U.S. Bank, told Fortune of parents' fears that wealth could dampen their children's drive. Trent Von Ahsen of Cedar Point Capital Partners also told Fortune his clients are leaning on mentorship and phased wealth transfers rather than lump-sum inheritances.
But the irony is younger donors are, by several of the study's measures, more engaged donors than older generations. Gen Z and millennial donors support an average of 12 charitable causes, compared with eight among wealth donors overall. They're also roughly twice as likely to use a donor-advised fund, and 87% say honoring their family's philanthropic tradition is important. Meanwhile, 86% say it's equally important to establish their own charitable identity.

King Charles and Queen Camilla's marriage has reportedly reached a "breaking point" in the wake of Earl Spencer's bombshell memoir about his late sister, Princess Diana, ******* led "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister." The newly released book has created quite the buzz among the royal watchers. Now, according to a new report, Charles Spencer's Diana memoir has caused intense damage to the married life of the monarch and the Camilla consort of the United Kingdom.
Earl Spencer's much-talked-about memoir, "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," has reportedly been damaging King Charles and Queen Camilla's marriage. As reported by Woman's Day, a source told them that "There's a lot of talk that she and Charles are well and truly at their breaking point, and that this is affecting the marriage in a very significant way." According to the source, "The growing consensus is that this Spencer book is well and truly the last straw."
Furthermore, the insider said to the news outlet that Charles cannot stop talking about Spencer's memoir about the late Princess Diana and everything it rehashed. According to the insider, the monarch has been feeling furious about the content of the book, and he has been struggling to accept that there is nothing he can do to stop it. Per the publication, the insider claimed that the monarch is currently on the "edge," with worries about the "calamity" the royal family might face next.
In the meantime, per the publication, the source further claimed that Camilla has been "trying to be sympathetic but she doesn't have a whole lot of patience because she feels attacked, too." According to the source, the Queen consort of the United Kingdom "is finding the overall atmosphere at Clarence House too much to bear at present." "It's no secret that she and the King aren't in a good place," the source also added.

The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated after taking down the Las Vegas Raiders 30-27 in Week 4. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who entered the matchup averaging 77 yards per game, had a quiet outing, catching two passes for 15 yards.
However, the Chiefs may need Kelce to take on a major role each week from here on out after wide receivers Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (dislocated ankle) went down with injuries in Las Vegas.
In the meantime, rumors swirl that the Chiefs may bring back Tyreek Hill, which Kelce thinks is a great idea.
