It's official: Skip Bayless is going back to ESPN, where he will join Stephen A. Smith to make recurring appearances on First Take beginning this month.
Smith made the announcement Friday afternoon while Bayless was joining him on his SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio show. The duo announced Bayless will join Smith every Friday on SiriusXM, and the last Friday of every month on First Take.
"Let me alert the public to what's going on," Smith began. "On Fridays, yours truly and the one and only Skip Bayless will be joining me on this show. So, let's get that out the way. That's every Friday, the beatdown is coming, my condolences to you. Brian Kelly was let go as the head coach of the LSU Tigers football program in the middle of last season after he failed to find the sort of success either he or the university envisioned when he came to Baton Rouge after a long stint as the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
In the first game of the Lane Kiffin era, the Tigers dominated the Clemson Tigers from start to finish, winning 51-10. After being asked about his thoughts on the game in a video call with College Sports on SiriusXM, Kelly was brutally honest about his feelings.
"I'll be honest, I had a hard time watching it, "Kelly admitted, "but I don't think it was just LSU. It was just the first weekend truly of college football, and it was hard. Like, you know, you've been doing it for, you know, 35 years, and not to be part of that process— uh, my wife, she wanted to kill me. She's like, " What's wrong with you?' And what was wrong was that I wasn't on the sideline, and it was, you know, I had to deal with it and, and, and get through it.
"But, you know, there's no mistake. LSU looked great. And, you know, obviously it's a little bit of both, right? Was Clemson maybe not as good as we thought? And certainly LSU was, was on fire, and that showed in the game. So props, props to LSU. They played great."
As tough a time as he might've had watching the Tigers from afar, Kelly did admit that he thought they had a championship-caliber defense.

I'll never forget the first time I encountered Grindr. In 2009, I was enjoying happy hour at Cobalt, a since-shuttered gay bar in D.C.'s Dupont Circle. My friend, spying the mustard skull on an iPhone (first released in 2007!) from across the room, nudged me. "That's the gay hookup app," he whispered scandalously.
When I got over the stigma of downloading Grindr, I was astounded how easy it was to flirt with nearby queer men — and to network. During RuPaul's Drag Race season 3, I changed my username to "Team Jujubee," a nod to a frontrunner, which helped me find a viewing-party friend in my neighborhood. When I lived in New York, I would sometimes engage in friendly chats with the app's gay founder, Joel Simkhai, who'd pop up on my grid from time to time.
For good and ill, tech and our relationship with it has changed a lot since the aughts. Gay apps are no longer a battery-draining novelty; for many, they're as quotidian as texting, a digital town square where a Madonna takeover and catfishing are commonplace. Many, like Grindr, are also now owned by straight people. And no need to comb the upper reaches of Cablevision's channels to find Drag Race anymore — there's an app for that too (several, in fact, depending on the region and season).

Recently, 23-year-old Rowan Henchy appeared on SiriusXM's Page Six Radio alongside some of her castmates. During the conversation, Rowan recalled a Hannah Montana moment when Miley Cyrus offered to share her mom, Brooke Shields, with her.
Henchy said, "I was such a Hannah Montana fan from the beginning, and she brought me, you know how they used to do live recordings, and there was an audience?"
"So she brought me on one time, and I just remember going up to Miley Cyrus, and I was like, 'She's my mother, not yours. And Miley was like, 'We can share her,'" she added
Later, Rowan continued, "You cannot say that to me. And mom was like, 'Okay, yes, I'm yours,'"

The Texas Tech football program has been a major topic of discussion during the offseason.
Whether it was the whole Brendan Sorsby situation or spending a lot of money on its roster, the subjects got a lot of fans and other schools talking. People weren't happy with the way Texas Tech went about things, but according to head coach Joey McGuire, that is just fine.

During his Mad Dog Unleashed radio show on SiriusXM earlier this week, Russo was discussing Tony Romo's future with CBS, guessing the network would love to use his recent arrest as cause to absolve themselves from the rest of the 10-year, $180 million contract he signed in 2020. And if they do get out from under Romo's contract, Russo believes the era of networks paying ***** ysts tens of millions of dollars might be over.
"Now listen, Aikman and Buck got a fortune," Russo admitted. "But they also brought a Super Bowl to ESPN, because I don't know if they would have gotten a Super Bowl unless they had those guys because that's how important they are, Aikman and Buck…so a little different for them. But to pay the top guys $17 million to do the games, we're gonna watch the games no matter what. Not one announcer – and that includes Madden – if you gave Madden a lousy game, you're not gonna watch it…nobody is watching these games to see the announcers."

But falling short in the Romo sweepstakes six years ago turned out to be a great thing for ESPN. Because while CBS was left with what eventually became a Romo problem, ESPN had the flexibility to eventually pluck Buck and Aikman from Fox two years later.
ESPN undoubtedly got the better option for Monday Night Football by landing Buck and Aikman instead of Romo, but the Super Bowl was coming their way regardless. On August 20, Intuitive Machines (NASDAQ:LUNR) reported second-quarter revenue of $206 million, more than four times what it brought in a year earlier, and closed the quarter with a record $1.8 billion in backlog. The company reaffirmed its full-year guidance of $900 million to $1 billion in revenue and said it still expects positive adjusted EBITDA for 2026. Behind those headline numbers sits a business spending heavily to chase a market it says has grown far beyond the moon.
The quarter's standout number was bookings. Intuitive Machines logged $1.7 billion in bookings so far this year, including $1.2 billion in the second quarter alone, the highest quarterly total in company history. Management said that volume reflects a shift away from depending on any single customer or mission type. The $1.8 billion backlog now splits roughly 37% civil, 49% commercial and 14% national security, and Q2 bookings skewed even further toward commercial and national security work, at 50% and 30% respectively.
That diversification showed up across every part of the business. NASA selected Intuitive Machines for the CS-8 lunar delivery mission, its sixth award under the CLPS contract, extending its delivery cadence into 2030. On the national security side, the company finished delivering all 16 satellites for the SDA's Tranche 1 tracking layer, added an 18-satellite Tranche 3 award, and picked up another 18 satellites tied to the Golden Dome missile defense architecture. It now has more than 70 IM-300 series ****** ecraft under contract. Commercially, it landed three geostationary communication satellites worth over $600 million and deployed SiriusXM-11 during the quarter. Gross profit swung to $36 million from negative $12 million a year earlier, evidence that the growing satellite manufacturing business is starting to convert into real profit.
That expansion is not free. Operating loss widened to $47 million, driven by higher SG&A, amortization, and a $14.7 million cost adjustment tied to the IM-4 lunar lander program. SG&A itself hit $60 million for the quarter, including $11 million in stock-based compensation and $8 million in acquisition and integration costs from recent deals. Operating cash used came to $60 million, and total cash deployed for the quarter reached $84 million once inventory buildup, acquisition costs, and a $17 million milestone payment to ****** eX are included.
The company is also leaning on equity markets to fund the buildout. It raised $235 million in net proceeds this quarter through its at-the-market stock program, bringing total gross proceeds raised to date to $291 million at an average price of $26.81 a share. Capital expenditures of $24 million went largely toward its NSNS satellite constellation and ground network, and management said CapEx will stay elevated in coming quarters as it builds out five satellites at once.

The 62-year-old actress discussed the experience during an August 17 appearance on SiriusXM's SmartLess podcast. She was there to promote Practical Magic 2, her first movie since 2022's The Lost City.
Bullock said she now feels a deep sense of happiness she didn't have before, while also acknowledging that her own health had taken a back seat while caring for Randall.
She said, "I didn't take care of myself then, but I do take care of myself now. My sister, for my birthday, gave me this beautiful pewter box, and it said 'Leonardo da Vinci,' a quote by him at like 87; he says, 'I'm still learning'. I went, 'Oh.' That's why, I think, I have such happiness in my chest."

According to On3's Brett McMurphy, Dusty and Danny In The Morning is ending its five-year run on Friday. However, neither host is leaving. Kanell will remain in the morning time slot and be paired with a new co-host, while Dvoracek moves to the afternoon slot. Per McMurphy, the move is due to Dvoracek's need for greater flexibility due to an increased role at ESPN.
Dvoracek has been seeing his star continually rise in recent years as a college football broadcaster with the Worldwide Leader. He's also become a fixture on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt. He's become one of the top college football **** ysts at ESPN, where he even called a College Football Playoff game in 2024. Friday's edition of PFT Live included a moment that was unprecedented in the 15-year history of the show.
Co-host Michael Holley fainted on live TV.
Others have written about the incident; it makes sense for us to address it here. Michael, who has been part of the show for the past two years, became overheated during the two-hour program. He hadn't had anything to eat or drink before the show began at 7:00 a.m. ET on Peacock, NBCSN, and SiriusXM 85. And, as he later told me, his studio is very warm.
It happened in the final 30 minutes of the program. Earlier in the show, Michael's audio in his earpiece had cut out, and I noticed him bending over to try to get it working again.
As he became ill, I was looking at the camera, which sits above the monitor that returns the live feed of the show. I noticed Michael moving. I thought that he had again lost his audio. When he slumped to the right and fell out of the view of the screen, I knew something was wrong.

Aaron Rodgers loves football. Before last season, he didn't love it as much as he once did. His experience with Mike Tomlin helped rekindle it.
In a Saturday interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Pat Kirwan asked how he can walk away from a game he loves.
"I do love it, yeah," Rodgers said. "I'm also 42. I've played 22 years. I played three in college. I've never had a fall to myself. I want to start a family with my wife, you know? I think you just have to know when it's time.
"And, you know, there's been times in the last three offseasons where I felt like maybe it is time. But doors open, and I just tried to listen to the signs. I might have been listening to the wrong signs by going to New York, but it was a good learning experience, you know, and I learned a lot during that process, and I am thankful for that time there.
"And I'm thankful for last year with Coach Tomlin, because he helped me get that love back, that deep love back for the game. That, you know, tearing my Achilles and going through a year of rehab, and just never feeling like myself, it just kind of beats you up a little bit, and I didn't want that to be my ending in the game that I love so much, and Mike and being around the guys, got me that love back, and I was content in walking away. And then they hired Mike McCarthy, and I was like, 'Okay, maybe we need a full circle here, me and Mike need a full circle here."

CBS might not be rooting for a reunion with Tony Romo, but Stephen A. Smith hopes the former NFL quarterback gets back to the network.
In the wake of being arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated last week in Milwaukee, CBS placed Romo on leave "until further notice." With no timetable for his return, Romo has already been replaced by J.J Watt in their lead NFL booth alongside Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson.
The decision to quickly replace Romo with a budding star in the booth like Watt has many wondering whether CBS is ready to move on from their lead **** yst of the last nine seasons. Stephen A. Smith, however, believes we haven't seen the last of Romo.
"I think so," Smith said on his SiriusXM Radio show after a caller asked whether we'll see Romo back on-air this season. "God bless him. It was a mistake to put himself in that position. But it happens from time to time. Thank God **** ody was hurt or anything like that. Can't get behind the wheel of a car inebriated in any way. Can't even give that impression. That's a very, very serious transgression, and we can't minimize that.
"But in the same breath, he's been a good dude, he's always been a good dude, and **** ody's perfect. People make mistakes. And hopefully he can move on from here and live his best life and continue to do the great work he's been doing for CBS."
