Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones once admitted that Donald Trump's involvement in the NFL's national anthem debate was damaging to the league, describing the president's interest as "problematic".
Jones made the comments in 2018, when the NFL was attempting to resolve the controversy surrounding players kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice.
The debate had become a major talking point after Trump publicly criticised players who protested and urged the league to punish those who refused to stand.
Speaking at the Cowboys' training camp in California, Jones acknowledged that Trump's comments were creating difficulties for NFL owners.
"His interest in what we're doing is problematic from my chair, and I would say in general the owners' chair," Jones said.

Paloma Elsesser thinks that the glamorization of Ozempic and similar weight-loss drugs isn't a good thing for society as a whole.
The 34-year-old model, who became the first plus-size model to win Model of the Year at the Fashion Awards in 2023, made an appearance on Vogue's The Run-Through podcast and suggested the rise of Ozempic can be correlated to the rise of "conservative" and "anti-woke" rhetoric. "I think the Ozempic era that we're talking about is harmful because it kind of takes away the agency to live in the way that I would hope people and women and young girls and young people can think about their bodies in this world," she shared. Around the 32-minute point of the podcast, which can be seen above.
Elssesser also said that she's seen a rise in "pro-eating disorder content" on platforms such as TikTok, which is especially worrying considering so many young people have unfiltered access to such content.
"II think people are just being like, 'Okay, this is not it,'" she continued. "We're seeing celebrities and people… I think people are upset. … I think that women should have agency. I am critical of applying my body, your body, your choice to this conversation because it's like… 'Is it your choice?' It's not. It's a prescription, so it doesn't actually feel like a choice. … I don't know, maybe I said something problematic. … The number one central tenet, like, anything that I try and live and encourage is to just think critically, not be critical."

One of the 11 jurors who wanted to find Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy not criminally responsible for killing her three children said the panel viewed the case as a chance to make things "better for other women" and families — a thought process that one legal ****** yst is calling "problematic."
"Even though we didn't know what was going on outside of our little bubble that we were in, we knew that this was a turning point, and this would be something that could change something to make it better for other women in the future, for other families," 65-year-old Clancy juror Paula Devlin told "CBS Saturday Morning" over the weekend. "You know, justice for those children is this never happening again."
According to Devlin, before the 11-1 deadlock that led to a mistrial, the jury had been split eight in favor of finding her not criminally responsible, two were undecided, and the holdout and one other juror were leaning toward a guilty verdict.
Lone Holdout Juror In Lindsay Clancy Trial Was Only Black Person On The Jury, Panelist Reveals: Report
"Devlin's statement is problematic," said Neama Rahmani, a Los Angeles-based trial attorney and legal ****** yst who has been following the case. "Jurors are supposed to decide cases solely based on the facts of that case. In the Clancy case, they were to decide whether she was criminally responsible."

Manchester City's proposed £80m move for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo is close to collapsing.
City had opened talks with Liverpool over a deal for the Netherlands international, with the Reds willing to sell Gakpo provided they could sign a replacement.
Liverpool completed the signing of France forward Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain for a fee worth up to £123m on Monday but would want another attacking player if Gakpo were to leave.
The Anfield club had targeted moves for Brighton's Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr but the valution of both players has proved problematic.
Liverpoool are now expected to keep Gakpo, 27, unless they are able to revive a deal for a new winger before Tuesday's deadline.

Prince Harry has his brother Prince William "over a barrel" with his return to the UK, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex returned to Britain this week with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children – and his older brother will be feeling "pressured", says royal expert Katie Nicholl.
The author of The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown said the "most problematic" relationship is between the Sussexes and the Waleses, particularly the two brothers, and it will become "very difficult" following their closer proximity to one another.
Katie tells **** O!: "In many ways, Harry's really got William over a barrel because it will be very difficult with them being geographically so much closer and Harry being welcomed back into the royal fold by his father, at least, for William to be adamant that there will be no reconciliation."
The Princes, who were once known to be close, have had little to no contact for the past two years.

Kade Anderson made his major league debut on Saturday afternoon against the Chicago Cubs. (Photo by Eric Hiller/MLB Photos via Getty Images)
Kade Anderson, the third pick in the 2025 MLB draft, made his major league debut on Saturday afternoon in Seattle against the Chicago Cubs. He became the first player from that class to make it to the big leagues.
According to Keith Law of The Athletic, Anderson is number one prospect in baseball. There was much consternation about bringing him up from Double-A Arkansas. Anderson pitched two seasons at baseball juggernaut LSU, accruing a 16-3 record before entering the draft last year. Due his heavy workload helping the Tigers win their eighth national ****** le, Seattle elected to have him sit out the remainder of 2025 to avoid injury.
Anderson, a 6'2" lefty, skipped the lower levels of the minors and has spent the entire season at Double-A, where he went 10-1 with a 1.06 ERA, and struck out 135 batters vs. just 13 walks. A 10/1 strikeout to walk ratio will play in any league.
But, because Anderson is just one year out of college and has been in Double-A all season, he was not on Seattle's 40-man roster. That changed when the team elected to call him up. As a general matter, Anderson won't pitch in enough games this season to lose his rookie status for next year. However, because he is now on the 40-man roster, the Mariners will not be allowed to have any contact with him in the event there is a lockout come December 1st. And with a rookie getting his first taste of big league competition, with potentially many things to learn from and work on, Seattle — and Anderson — may find it quite problematic that they cannot communicate with each other for the duration of the lockout. It is impossible to know — especially at this early date — the impact that will have on the pitcher's development, but it is not an ideal situation. Had the Mariners kept Anderson on the farm for the whole year, they could have worked with him all winter, regardless of any labor dispute.

The second week of 2026's edition of Contender Series delivered a ton of action, capped off by a savage knockout of a fan favorite.
On Tuesday night, Week 2 of Season 10 of Contender Series took place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, featuring three knockouts — including one of the most brutal knockouts in Contender Series history — one submission, the best fight of the season so far, and six UFC contracts handed out.
Kaik Brito def. Namo Fazil
In the main event, Namo Fazil took on Kaik Brito in a high-profile welterweight contest. Fazil is an extremely popular fighter who most recently competed on the undercard of the MVP MMA: Rousey vs. Carano fight card, but he didn't get an easy out in Brito, who put on a show right from the start.
Brito was the much more dynamic and dangerous fighter early in the bout, but Fazil's pressure and durability proved problematic for Brito as the fight wore on. Heading into the final round, it looked like Fazil was on the verge of breaking Brito, but just a few seconds into the round, Brito launched a combination out of nowhere, with the final punch landing clean and sending Fazil crashing to the canvas brutally.

Patricia Heaton has revealed the moment that led her to go sober, explaining it left her "mortified".
The Everybody Loves Raymond alum's daily wine habit turned into problematic drinking during a period of her life when her usual routine had been disrupted.
"My children had left home and I wasn't working. The things that had always anchored me - my family and my work - were gone," Patricia, 68, told Woman's World magazine. "I started thinking, 'What am I supposed to do today?'"
The actress, whose sitcom credits also include The Middle, recalled how her drinking habits slowly escalated.
"A glass of wine while cooking became wine with dinner, wine while cleaning up and wine while watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!," she explained. "One night I realised I had almost finished an entire bottle by myself."
At that point, Patricia said, she knew something had shifted in her attitude to drinking, and she turned to religion in hopes of finding an answer.

49ers roster moves: D-lineman and O-lineman signed to one-year deals
"Throughout his five-year NFL career with the Cardinals (2021-24) and New York Giants (2025), he has appeared in 60 games (eight starts) and registered 51 tackles, 4.0 sacks, two passes defensed, and two forced fumbles. In 2025, Dimukeje appeared in five games with the Giants and registered one tackle and one pass defensed."
For 49ers' Nick Bosa, second ACL surgery is a 'different beast' as tendinitis lingers (paywall)
"Dr. Prem Ramkumar, an orthopedic knee and hip surgeon who consults for the X Games and Long Beach State athletics, termed an ACL revision a "very big deal" and a "different beast." Dr. Nirav Pandya, professor of orthopedic surgery at UCSF, said the trauma Bosa's right knee has suffered means it will be "asking a lot" for the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year to flash his pre-injury form next month, or perhaps, this season….Before Bosa was sidelined, he told Sports Illustrated that last year's surgery had also addressed "chronic" quadriceps tendinitis that had developed from the first ACL repair on his right knee. Pandya noted it would be more problematic if Bosa's current tendinitis isn't related to his most recent ACL surgery, which Shanahan suggested it was.
"He's had quad tendinitis since he was in high school and it's been this lingering, ongoing problem," Pandya said. "The issue that you get worried about long-term tendinitis is that that can eventually lead to degeneration of a tendon. It's more ******* e to kind of have chronic issues or even tear."
49ers TE George Kittle's 'eye-popping' recovery progress has Rapoport impressed
"When I was in Santa Clara about a week or so ago, finishing up Inside Training Camp, I had the opportunity to watch George Kittle do his workout, kind of alongside practice, pre-practice," Rapoport said on NFL Network's The Insiders. "It was eye-popping. It was really good. It was really fast. It was looking like a player who is basically going full speed.
"You listen to George Kittle say it—the fact that the numbers are basically what he wants—is an unbelievable thing. He is seven months out from an Achilles injury. Now, generally players do not get back on the field until nine months. The season starts about eight months after him tearing his Achilles."

CBS has gotten out of the NFL Insider business.
Via Drew Lerner of Awful Announcing, CBS won't be hiring an insider to replace Jonathan Jones, who recently left for a non-insider (in name) role with The Athletic.
It's no surprise. Last year, CBS decided to dump the insider segments from The NFL Today. Jones performed other roles for CBS Sports unrelated to the weekly Sunday rundown of news and notes.
As Lerner notes, the absence of Jones from the CBS pregame show was hardly noticed in 2025.
It's unclear why CBS made the move to not use Jones last year. One fair basis for speculation could be that not having an insider segment ensures that CBS will never be reporting anything that possibly would rankle The Shield. While potentially problematic items could be killed on a case-by-case basis, it wouldn't have taken much to get the word out that CBS, under new Skydance management, may have been putting the kibosh on anything the NFL may not have taken kindly to.

Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice had an unexpected 30-day offseason jail stint, due to a positive THC test while on probation for felony charges arising from a 2024 street-racing incident.
The timing, which is never really ideal, became especially problematic because it kept Rice away from the team during the offseason program. At first, he was unable to engage in rehab after a recent knee surgery. (He later got permission to leave the jail for the treatment he needed.)
He spoke to reporters on Tuesday for the first time since his incarceration.
"It was a learning experience and a reality check," Rice said, via Nate Taylor of ESPN. "Don't focus on the past. Focus on what's going on now. I'm doing [well] mentally.
"It was mentally tough. They gave me ways to communicate with my teammates still and as well as my athletic trainer. Besides the hard times in there, I kept my mind right watching shows and as much Kevin Hart as I could to laugh."

Tottenham are moving quickly towards the exit of Djed Spence, with TeamTalk reporting that Inter Milan are now close to agreeing a deal for the defender after the player made his preference clear.
There has been an acceptance on all sides for some time that this summer was likely to bring a separation. Spurs and Spence had already settled on the broad direction of travel before the World Cup, and Roberto De Zerbi is said to have felt that a transfer represented the cleanest solution for everyone involved.
What matters now is that the process has accelerated. The key development is the player's stance. Spence has decided to prioritise a move to the Serie A champions, and that has pushed discussions forward to the point where an agreement is described as being close.
According to the original report, "Djed Spence's decision to prioritise a move to Italian champions Inter Milan has seen Tottenham Hotspur accelerate talks, with TEAMtalk able to exclusively reveal that a deal is now on the cusp of being agreed." That gives a strong indication of how advanced this situation has become.
There was no shortage of market awareness around Spence. Several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton, were given the opportunity to sign him. Interest existed, but Tottenham's valuation proved problematic. Their "initial asking price of around £45million was viewed as too high and no deal materialised."

Meta Platforms (META) Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg warned Monday against a "concentration of power" in AI as the social media giant introduced a new open-source large language model. Meta stock rose premarket.
The Facebook parent company's new Muse Glimmer AI model will be capable of "agentic" tasks while being offered under an open source license, the company said in a blog post. The designation will allow developers to download and modify the large language model.
In a separate blog post, Zuckerberg pledged to focus on a "positive AI future" that is focuses on "individual empowerment."
While not mentioning names, the Facebook founder appeared critical of leading AI labs OpenAI and Anthropic and their previous warnings about the significant economic risks of the technology.
"It is surprising that the discourse from many developing AI is so filled with doom. I do not understand why anyone who believes that AI will eliminate most jobs and much of humanity's relevance would rush to build that future," Zuckerberg wrote. "The notion that AI is so dangerous that the only safe path is an extreme concentration of power seems inherently problematic."

Expected Lockout Could Cause Red Sox to Not Promote Franklin Arias originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Major League Baseball's expected lockout in December will bring a ton of questions about what the league looks like in the short and long term. Long-term-wise, there is an expectation that a salary cap could be implemented. It remains uncertain what will really happen on that front, but there are at least some rumblings about it.
Short-term-wise, there are decisions that could be made on prospects that have an impact.
That includes one on Boston Red Sox youngster Franklin Arias, with two reporters from the Boston Herald recently outlining why he might not get called up over the next month or so.
"With a lockout all but certain to begin this December, teams won't be able to communicate with any player on the 40-man roster until a new labor deal is reached. Those players also won't be able to train at club facilities, an especially problematic issue for prospects and minor leaguers who won't be allowed to attend minor league spring training, which will continue even if a new labor deal hasn't been reached and big league camps remain shut down.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III is expected to miss some time as he recovers from a groin injury, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Burden went down awkwardly in practice Saturday and was seen leaving early with a trainer. While the good news was that the wideout was able to walk off under his own power, he was walking gingerly.
It looked like a lower-body issue, and now we know it is a groin injury. These issues can be problematic and easily aggravated, so the Bears may be a little more cautious with his recovery. The good news is that Chicago's regular season start is more than a month away, giving Burden time to recover.
The biggest problem in the interim is that without Burden, the Bears' wide receiver depth looks very thin.
Chicago opted to trade away veteran wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills in the offseason. That puts a lot of pressure and faith into the Bears' young wide receiver foundation in Rome Odunze and Burden.

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — A federal judge has sided with the Virginia NAACP in its lawsuit against a county school board's reinstatement of Confederate military names to two schools, saying the decision discriminated against Black students and ordering the board to change the schools' monikers again.
In an opinion filed Thursday in U.S. District Court of Virginia, Judge Michael F. Urbanski said the school board in Shenandoah County violated Black students' rights under the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause, which forbids racial discrimination in state-supported institutions. The decision also violates the Equal Educational Opportunities Act, the court found.
Confederate army officers' names are "vestiges" of Shenandoah County's segregationist history that required separate schools for Black and white students.
"The Confederate names were restored with complete awareness of their historic legacy and ongoing discriminatory impact," Urbanski wrote. "In the court's view, the affirmative act of reinstating these vestiges of segregation is far more problematic than a passive failure to remove a long-standing name or symbol."
The judge ordered the board to settle on new school names "on a racially nondiscriminatory basis with all deliberate speed."

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is the latest global official to express distrust in FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
Carney spoke on Wednesday, August 5 in Toronto during a press conference about affordable housing and was asked about his thoughts on Infantino, who days earlier scrapped a controversial proposal to sell a minority stake in FIFA to private investors. Carney spent time with Infantino this summer, as Canada was a co-host of the World Cup with the United States and Mexico.
"I've run a few organizations in my time. The idea that proper governance is not to disclose to your closest advisors your chief operating officer, your fellow board members something of consequence that you're even considering let alone proposing, that's fatal, should be fatal," he said.
He continued by noting that FIFA has "their own procedures for making those determinations, but certainly I don't have confidence in Mr. Infantino after this point given what transpired and given the nature of what transpired."
Carney pointed to Carlos Cordeiro, a top advisor to Infantino, not being consulted on the deal and resigning after controversy ensued as evidence that the way Infantino is leading FIFA is problematic.

Rafael Leao's situation is impacting every possible incoming at Serie A side Milan and another transfer opportunity is floating away from the Portuguese.
Get Italian Football News have looked at how a second offer for the attacker was incoming. It was unknown whether they would be able to convince the Rossoneri, with Jorge Mendes also closely involved.
But Daniele Longo has reported that the move is very unlikely to go through. Leao himself is a big reason for it as he doesn't appear keen, especially as Fenerbahce have failed come up with a financial offer that convinces the Portugal international.
Sportmediaset- via MilanNews, offer more, noting that Fener have also struggled to reach an agreement Milan.
They offered an initial loan deal but the Rossoneri are only looking to sell Leao permanently. Ruben Amorim's side demand €50 million plus bonuses that can deal to upto €60 million. This has been problematic for Fenerbahce and a host of clubs who have been given the chance to sign him.

Real Madrid have given Brazilian star Vinicius Junior a clear ultimatum: sign the extension offer currently on the table, or accept that the club will explore a transfer before the close of the summer window. That's according to a report published today on MARCA.
Los Blancos want to avoid the scenario where they enter the 2026-2027 with Vinicius still on an expiring deal, something which could very well be problematic given that the player would be able to negotiate with other clubs on January 1st, 2027.
The negotiations between the club and Vinicius' representatives will resume this weekend and also next week. However, Real Madrid have made it very clear that this now is their very last offer and that the player will need to sign it if he wants to play for the club this upcoming season.

European governing body UEFA will hold an emergency meeting later on Thursday to deal with plans from FIFA to bring private investors into its events led by the World Cup.
Sources told dpa that the meeting also reported by other media is scheduled for the afternoon.
UEFA has condemned the plans which FIFA president Gianni Infantino defended late Wednesday and which have drawn mixed reactions from other confederations.
Germany's Bild paper said leading officials including German Football Federation (DFB) president Bernd Neuendorf discussed the FIFA plans via a UEFA video call on Wednesday.
"We must not lose the fans' support, but we are well on the way to squandering that support. I consider this to be extremely problematic and unacceptable," Neuendorf told broadcasters ZDF.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Padres fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The San Diego Padres stumbled out of the All-Star break dropping back-to-back series on the road to the Kansas City Royals and the Atlanta Braves. Each loss, four in all, seemed to be another nail in the coffin on the 2026 season. The Padres limped into their final series of the road trip against the Miami Marlins with their season seemingly hanging in the balance. Anything less than a winning series would have surely resulted in the team looking to offload expiring contracts at the deadline relegating the remaining players on the roster to play out the string of games before heading to the offseason.
The Padres had other plans and instead of just winning the series against the Marlins, they swept the team from South Beach and handed them their 12th consecutive loss. San Diego had a thrilling win in the third and final game of the series that saw the Padres enter the eighth inning trailing by two runs. Manny Machado hit a two-run home run to tie the game and two batters later, Jackson Merrill connected on a solo home run to put San Diego in the lead. Luis Campusano later added an RBI-single in the inning and the Friar Faithful got a glimpse of what the Padres could be — and were expected to be.
Starting pitching has been problematic for San Diego, but the offense has come to life in the past week. With the offense turning around and the Padres adopting the pitching chaos theory with their rotation has San Diego changed your mind about what they should do at the MLB Trade Deadline. There are five games remaining after the Padres played their series opener against the Colorado Rockies tonight. There is still time to make a decision, and there is still an opportunity to sway decision makers within the organization or maybe the team has already done so. Have they changed your thoughts about the deadline approach?

Cathie Wood doesn't mind volatility. The founder, CEO, and chief investment officer of Ark Invest went shopping as many of her existing positions were sinking.
Ark bought more shares of Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), **** e Exploration Technologies (NASDAQ: SPCX), and Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) last week. The stocks would go on to decline between 7% and 18% for the week. Let's take a closer look at some of Wood's most prolific trades from the past week, each one among the 10 largest companies by market cap.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
It's been a **** py road for the world's largest automaker by market cap. Tesla stock has fallen 16% in the final two trading days of last week, after the company posted disappointing financial results. The pullback isn't a fluke. Tesla has now fallen a humbling 37% since peaking seven months ago. Tesla entered this week just 5% away from taking out its 52-week low.
The second-quarter results were problematic. Total revenue rose 26% to $28.2 billion, but that was largely expected. Tesla had announced a 25% jump in vehicles delivered during the last three months three weeks ago. It's commendable that Tesla is growing its flagship business, following back-to-back quarters of sequential declines after the end of federal tax credits for electric vehicles in the third quarter of last year. The report gets worse once you get past the top-line results.

The Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars have controlled the AFC South the past four seasons. Will that hold true in 2026?
Jacksonville and Houston both earned playoff berths last year, with a razor-thin margin at the top of the division. The Jaguars rode 13 wins to take the AFC South crown, while Houston punched a playoff ticket via the wild card with a 12-5 record.
The Jaguars bookended the last four years with division ***** les, while the Texans won the AFC South in back-to-back years in 2023-2024.
Roster-wise, things will look largely the same in 2026. The Jaguars lost key free agents in RB Travis Etienne Jr. and LB Devin Lloyd, but they will get two-way star Travis Hunter back from injury. Houston still figures to be problematic again as most starters return for a defensive unit that ranked No. 1 in total defense in 2025.
Jacksonville and Houston are the favorites, but the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee ***** ans shouldn't be overlooked. The Colts raced out to an 8-2 start a year ago before injuries derailed them. Meanwhile in Tennessee, Cam Ward gained valuable experience in Year 1, and the ***** ans drafted WR Carnell Tate and splurged during free agency to support their passer.

Despite some early woes in the transfer portal, Mark Pope managed to **** emble one of the best portal classes in the country. Along with key returners like Malachi Moreno and Kam Williams, Kentucky Basketball will now enter the 2026-27 season as a consensus top-25 team.
However, few, if any, college basketball rosters are without question marks, and Kentucky is no different.
So, what are some potential pitfalls with this group?
The easy one to point to is the injury bug, which has been problematic over the last two years and has already hit several players. Transfer center Franck Kepnang is being held out of summer workouts after missing the end of last season due to a knee issue.
Meanwhile, Kam Williams is out as he continues to rehab his surgically repaired foot and is not expected to practice this summer, despite having returned for the final five games last season.

Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé trained with the rest of the group after experiencing some physical problems during France's win against Morocco in the FIFA World Cup Quarterfinals. Mbappé completed the training session and will be ready to face Spain in the Semifinals next Tuesday.
The French striker has been leading France during the tournament, so having him healthy and ready to go will be crucial for coach Didier Deschamps.
Dayot Upamecano and William Saliba couldn't train with their teammates, so it will be interesting to see if they are able to recover in time for Tuesday's match. Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni remains 'doubtful' for Tuesday's game and he's missed France's last two matches with a thigh injury that has been problematic for him and the French national team.

SEOUL, July 10 (Reuters) - When South Korean billionaire Chey Tae-won rang the Nasdaq's opening bell for SK Hynix's $26.5 billion listing on Friday, it marked the ultimate payoff of a bet many once considered risky: buying a loss-making chipmaker that has since become an AI powerhouse.
SK Group's 2012 acquisition of Hynix was viewed as problematic even within the business conglomerate: Memory chips are cyclical and capital-intensive, and the company was losing money while trailing Samsung Electronics in market share and technology.
But under Chey, seeking an edge over Samsung, SK Hynix has spent more than a decade betting on high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips, at the time a niche technology. The wager paid off as HBM became a critical component in Nvidia's AI accelerators, helping SK Hynix emerge as the world's biggest producer of the chip.
"This is a truly historical moment. We've been waiting for a long, long time," he said during an interview with CNBC on Friday. "It is a kind of dream and now it is a dream come true," he said.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Padres fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
San Diego Padres General Manager and President of Baseball Operation A.J. Preller is known as an uber aggressive front office executive. He seems to live for the trade deadline when he can use the players from the San Diego minor league system to find players to fill holes in the major league roster. Preller will not have the same type of player pool to deal from at the 2026 deadline, but that does not mean he won't have opportunities to make deals, but the question is, "Should he?"
The Padres just completed a miserable eight-game losing streak and followed the win to break up the streak with another lifeless loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, losing 8-0 in the first game of their four-game series to start the week. The loss dropped San Diego two games below .500 and had them on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. The losing streak saw the Padres, who had been the top Wild Card team throughout the majority of the season, slip out of playoff contention while falling behind the division leading Los Angeles Dodgers by double digits.
The offense was the problem for San Diego throughout the season with the team ranking last in MLB in several categories. The thought at the time was the Padres could look to add to the offense at the trade deadline especially after losing Ramon Laureano for the season. In recent weeks, and especially during the eight-game losing streak, the starting pitching for San Diego has become erratic and problematic with multiple starters failing to complete five innings in an outing. The struggles of the rotation accentuated the laundry list of starters on the injured list. Yu Darvish was lost for the season prior to the start of Spring Training. Joe Musgrove landed on the IL before the end of Spring Training and Nick Pivetta joined them both on the IL not long after the season started. Matt Waldron, German Marquez and now Randy Vasquez have missed time with injuries.
Despite all of that, the Padres entered the game against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday night just a game below .500 and were looking to win their second game of the series in back-to-back days. Considering their current record and their current level of play, the trade deadline could prove tenuous for the Friar Faithful. San Diego could go on a run and play itself into the playoffs, but the Padres could just as easily continue to slide and play themselves out of the playoff picture. The Gaslamp Ball Padres Reacts Survey question this week is, "What should the Padres do at the trade deadline?" One of the most problematic positions facing the New England Patriots ahead of training camp is at tight end.
The top of the depth chart is solidified with returning veteran Hunter Henry. Still, there are real questions about the team's depth after losing Julian Hill to a season-ending injury in the spring.
The Patriots are desperately clinging to hope that rookie third-round draft pick Eli Raridon can contribute right out of the gate, but it's always a stretch depending on that kind of progress from a first-year tight end. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Patriots explore the possibility of bringing in a veteran tight end to boost the competition at the position in training camp.
Here's where things currently stand at the position:

“Lap one was just chaos with the energy usage,” said McLaren’s Oscar Piastri after finishing seventh in Saturday’s sprint race at Silverstone.
“Pretty dangerous at some points, to be honest, but that’s what we’ve got… Then after that the following [other cars] was just very, very difficult in terms of staying on top of the car.
“Some things to look at, for sure, but at least we know what to expect tomorrow – which is chaos.”
The competitors have known for almost two years that the first race at Silverstone under Formula 1’s new technical rules would be one of the most problematic tests of this format, given the layout of the track. And this prediction came to pass in the form of a harum-scarum series of opening laps dictated by different energy deployment strategies.
As with the season-opening Australian Grand Prix back in March, the action-packed nature of those opening laps pleased the paying spectators in the grandstands, but the drivers themselves were frustrated that so much of it was dictated by battery charge levels rather than skill and bravery. It also made for some sketchy moments caused by sudden changes in speed.
