When it comes to fashion, the first person on your mind would probably not be Rosie O'Donnell. Although O'Donnell has had a complete Hollywood transformation, the noted comedian is known more for being an accomplished talk show host while delivering whip-sharp quips. But it appears she also knows a thing or two about dressing herself for a wedding, especially her youngest son's wedding. Blake O'Donnell got married in August 2024 and Rosie made sure she was dressed in her best for the occasion.
rosie/Instagram
Instead of a typical dress, O'Donnell opted for a sharp suit, as seen in the image above, that she posted to her Instagram account. The custom made suit was champagne-colored, with floral motifs adorning both the blazer and pants. She wore a pair of white Oxford shoes, keeping her graying hair in a short neat cut. Not only is the outfit ideal and comfortable, it also serves as the perfect alternative to a dress for older women. O'Donnell definitely rocked this look to a T, looking stunning as she and her son shared a wholesome mother-son dance to Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time."

The late Queen spent 70 years on the throne, during which time she carried out more than 21,000 public and official engagements. As such, there wasn't a lot that would phase Her Majesty.
But her composure did slip on one very rare occasion - and the cameras were there to capture the moment.
The momentary mishap took place back in 2010, when Elizabeth stepped out to mark the 150th anniversary of the Eton Combined Cadet Force at Eton College - coincidentally where her great grandson Prince George will start this week.
Dressed in a lilac skirt suit and matching hat, she was warmly greeted by excited crowds as she arrived for the occasion.
The Queen was certainly used to accepting bouquets of flowers on her public engagement - but on this occasion, she struggled to keep hold of a plastic-wrapped display offered to her by a well-wisher.

In typical fashion, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has been an extremely volatile stock to own in the past five years. During this time, the share price fell at least 30% on three separate occasions.
But unlike historical trends, this electric vehicle (EV) stock has underperformed the S&P 500 index over the trailing half decade. It's up only 54% during this time (as of Sept. 4), while the benchmark has climbed 71%.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
This business continues to live in the spotlight, which will certainly result in persistently heightened volatility for investors to deal with. Where will Tesla be in five years?
On Sept. 3, Tesla held an invite-only event launching its much-hyped Cybercab vehicle. The car design, which comes with no pedals and no steering wheel, was revealed nearly two years ago in October 2024. However, the company finally introduced a small number of Cybercabs to its Austin robotaxi fleet. There are 250 vehicles in the total robotaxi fleet (also including model Y's) that Tesla operates both in Texas and Florida.

One of the biggest priorities for Bayern Munich this summer was finding a solution for João Palhinha, and Michael Reschke believes the club finally managed to put a difficult chapter behind them.
"Most importantly, of course, they've resolved the Palhinha situation. That whole affair cost a fortune and certainly annoyed everyone, but these things happen. It's impossible for every transfer to be a success," Reschke told Abendzeitung.
Bayern Munich paid Fulham €51 million up front for Palhinha in 2024, with the deal potentially rising to €56 million with add-ons. After struggling to establish himself as a regular starter, he spent last season on loan at Tottenham before Bayern Munich ultimately moved him on.
The financial investment made Palhinha one of the more disappointing transfers of recent years, particularly given the limited return Bayern Munich received on the pitch.
But Reschke's point is that even clubs as successful as Bayern Munich will occasionally get a transfer wrong.

New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson might in line to start the regular-season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, Sept. 9, as RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) remains sidelined.
Truth be told, Stevenson might have started anyway, but now he could see a lion's share of the carries, with only first-year RB Corey Kiner as the other active running back on the 53-man roster.
Henderson has been unable to practice since Aug. 24 due to an ankle injury, and his status for Week 1 is seriously in doubt. In Week 1 of the 2025 season, Stevenson played 46 snaps to just 25 for Henderson, and Stevenson sees more playing time because of his ability to pick up the blitz, and the coaching staff's confidence in his doing so.
SOURCE: ESPN.com
Huddle Up: Stevenson could be a low-end RB1 or top-tier RB2 against the Seahawks if Henderson is inactive, with Kiner potentially subbing in for occasional breathers. Stevenson might be in line to see 25-30 total touches in this Super Bowl LX rematch at Lumen Field in Seattle.

George Kittle is still working towards his full recovery as the San Francisco 49ers are close to beginning their 2026 NFL season. The team will open their regular season with a special international game in Australia against the Los Angeles Rams on September 11, 2026.
Kittle suffered a serious injury last season which kept him out for much of the offseason. He has returned to training recently, and also had to defend his teammates online.
The 49ers arrived in Melbourne ahead of their historic Week 1 matchup against the Rams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It will be the first ever NFL game played in Australia and is part of the league's strategy to attract international viewers. As part of their stay, the team checked into the Park Hyatt Melbourne, where they were greeted by general manager Oliver Kahf and the hotel's ambassador named Charlie.

Charlie is an eight-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever also known as Crescendo Charlie, and serves as the hotel's full-time ambassador. The 49ers organization had sent a custom team jersey with Charlie's name for the occasion, which the dog wore during the arrival.

Khadija Shaw netted a brace while Mary Fowler was also on target as The Cityzens were victorious on opening day.
It was the visitors who almost got off to a dream start. They won a corner inside the opening 30 seconds, but Marie Levasseur saw her effort cleared off the goal-line.
Océane Hurtré then almost capitalised on a back-pass, but home keeper Ayaka Yamashita did just about enough to deal with the danger.
At the other end, Shaw met Lauren Hemp's cross, but she couldn't beat Sophie Baggaley. Hemp soon produced another cross from the left which was met by Shaw, but she was again unable to take advantage,
Manchester City captain Alex Greenwood and Aoba Fujino had further efforts on the Birmingham City goal, but Baggaley was able to produce saves on both occasions. Fowler then slipped the ball to Shaw, who looked certain to score, but Neve Herron defended well and managed to perform a block.

Hamburger SV's lacklustre start to the new Bundesliga season continued this afternoon on home soil. In the Hanseatic sun, an FSV Mainz 05 side inspired by the brilliance of Sheraldo Becker and Phillip Tietz ran out comfortable winners on a 5-0 scoreline.
Similar to their opening day struggles in Dortmund, the hosts seemed to struggle as Mainz piled on the pressure. Sheraldo Becker stung the palms of Daniel Heuer Fernandes, before Nadiem Amiri fired wide on the end of a neat set-piece routine inside 15 minutes.
The warning signs were clear and HSV took no heed of it as an atmospheric Volksparkstadion fell momentarily silent. A misplaced pass from skipper Nicolai Remberg was picked off by Kaishu Sano. From there, he played in Becker who dispatched from a one-on-one scenario.
Aside from the occasional threat of Albert Grønbaek, HSV failed to even test debutante Alexander Schwolow before the break. Mainz swiftly led 2-0 when Nadiem Amiri pulled the strings in midfield for Becker to find **** e and deliver a routine tap-in for Philipp Mwene.
Half-time whistles from supporters forced Merlin Polzin's hand at the break. Torunarigha, Nadir and Adeline departed for Shafiq Nandja, Patson Daka and Fábio Vieira. The latter receiving a massive cheer since returning on a permanent basis from **** nal.

Barcelona's game against Valencia is set to kick off at Mestalla, and Hansi Flick has deployed one of the team's strongest lineups for the night.
With the UEFA Champions League coming up midweek, it is clear that the Barcelona manager wishes to test out his Gala XI in an official game, and the clash against Valencia is that big occasion.
Los Che, meanwhile, have also put up a formidable lineup although they are the underdogs by some distance at their own stadium.
Given the multiple upsets this week in La Liga including Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid losing, however, they will believe they can pull off an upset.
Valencia manager Carlos Corberan faced the media ahead of kickoff and spoke on the game that awaits his side and what he expects from Barcelona on the night.

Andrew Symonds once produced one of the rarest scoring feats in Test cricket, collecting eight runs from a single delivery during Australia's Test against New Zealand at the Gabba in Brisbane in 2008-09.

The bizarre sequence involved an all-run four followed by four overthrows, with New Zealand fast bowler Iain O'Brien at the centre of the drama. There was an added twist to the incident, as O'Brien had seen Symonds dropped off the previous delivery before eventually dismissing him just two ****** later.
Australia were 124 for four in the 46th over after Ricky Ponting had decided to bat in Brisbane.

O'Brien opened the over with a bouncer, which Symonds ducked under. The bowler went short again with his next delivery, and this time Symonds pulled the ball towards mid-wicket.

However, Aaron Redmond put down the chance.

O'Brien responded as fast bowlers often do after a missed opportunity, sending down another short delivery. This time, the ball was outside off-stump and Symonds attacked it ferociously with a pull.

The enormous Gabba outfield slowed the ball down, but Symonds and Michael Clarke had already completed three runs by the time Redmond got to it.

The pair then decided to push for another run, hoping to take advantage of the throw.

That decision produced chaos.

New Zealand wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum moved across to collect the return. He gathered the ball, turned and threw it towards the stumps, only to discover that Symonds had already made his ground.

There was another problem for New Zealand. ****** ody was positioned behind the wicketkeeper to stop the throw.

The ball therefore continued all the way to the boundary. Symonds had effectively turned a pull shot into an extraordinary eight-run haul.

Umpire Rudi Koertzen then signalled the total by raising eight fingers, meaning eight runs were added to Australia's score and Symonds' tally.

It was two more than the figure commonly described as the maximum possible from a single delivery and even one more than the total India received in a penalty-run incident against Bangladesh at Chattogram.
Symonds' eight-run delivery was only the fourth known instance of eight runs being scored from a single ball in Test cricket at that point.

The first recorded example came in Melbourne during the 1928-29 series, which was also the final Test of Don Bradman's first series.

England's Patsy Hendren scored eight after completing four runs and then benefiting from four overthrows off Australian debutant Percy Hornibrook.

Another unusual eight-run delivery occurred in Melbourne during the 1980-81 season.

New Zealand's John Wright was the beneficiary on that occasion. He ran four before four overthrows followed after Rod Marsh collected the fielder's return and threw the ball towards the stumps. The throw escaped and Wright picked up the additional runs off Lenny Pascoe's delivery.

The other known instance before Symonds came in Port-of-Spain during the

After losing to Real Betis on Friday, Real Madrid are hoping to bounce back when they host Inter Milan in their Champions League opener on Tuesday. Jose Mourinho failed to win European football's premier competition during his first spell in charge, and that failure will drive him to ensure that he achieves this goal second time around.
If they are to claim La Decimosexta come next June, Real Madrid must ensure they finish inside the top eight in the league phase, as this will see them avoid the jeopardy of the play-off round, which they have featured in on the two occasions since the new format premiered. Getting off to a good start against Inter will be crucial, although Mourinho looks set to be without one of his key players for the match.
In the closing stages of the Betis defeat, Marc Cucurella had to be replaced by Alvaro Carreras. Mourinho revealed in his post-match press conference that the full-back suffered with cramps, but it has since been reported that the 2026 World Cup winner is a major doubt to face the Nerazzurri because of this issue, as per MD.
Cucurella will not be out for long, but the idea is that he does not recover in time to face Inter. Mourinho will know that taking any unnecessary risks with one of his key players would be unwise, which is why Carreras is likely to make his return to the starting line-up, having been left out for the matches against Malaga and Betis.
All being well, Real Madrid will be able to manage without Cucurella for the match against Inter. He should be fine to return for the encounter with Rayo Vallecano next weekend, at which point Los Blancos will try to return to winning ways on the domestic scene.

It's been roughly three months since the New York Knicks became champions of the basketball world. For the first time in 53 years, and after long stretches of misery, the franchise finally reached the pinnacle of success, but the journey was not easy.
In fact, throughout the playoffs, the Knicks found themselves down big on several occasions, only to mount amazing comebacks that defined their run. Recently, Knicks swingman Mikal Bridges spoke about the comebacks and the conditions that made it possible to survive overwhelming odds.
"The Cavs series, that Game 1, being down 22 in the 4th. Last year in the playoffs, being down a lot," said Bridges in a chat with Men's Health. "We had opportunities where we had been in the same situations and succeeded. It's having that faith of being here before. Obviously, it's different being in the Finals than any other playoff series, but it's still just another game. It's just having that belief and taking it one possession at a time; we've been here before, we've done it before. Ain't gonna get it back in one possession, still a lot of time left. A lot of us have been in the league for a long time, and we know in this day and age, with the fast pace and a lot of threes, that even down 27 points at halftime, you still have a lot of time. And being at home, having the crowd behind your back, it's gonna put pressure on them."
The Knicks went 53-29 in the 2025-26 season, and most critics had them a tier below the Cavaliers, Celtics, and Pistons in the East. In the playoffs, however, the Knicks dominated the field, going 16-3 in an impressive performance. Along the way, they faced fierce resistance, overcoming a 22-point deficit in the opening game against the Cavaliers.
Their unlikeliest win, however, was in the Finals. In Game 4 of the series, the Knicks went down by as much as 29 points, but somehow came back and won (107-106) off a buzzer-beater from OG Anunoby. It seemed impossible at the time, but the Knicks always felt that victory was within reach.

NEW YORK (AP) — Want to know how good ****** Gould's teams were at Stanford? The answer was right there on his shoes.
Gould returned to the U.S. Open on Saturday and was honored during the first match of the night session. The longtime coach, who had John McEnroe among his many future pros, hadn't been back to the event in years but his former players wanted to celebrate him this year.
Gould wore specially designed Nike sneakers that were made for him for the occasion. White and cardinal red, one had a 17 on it, signifying his total of NCAA national championships, with his record of 776-148 on the tongue.
"I loved coaching. I really enjoyed working with the age group, especially the 18 to 22-year-olds," Gould said. "It's the first time away from their parents, and you want to be independent, and the other hand, you can't quite be, and sometimes some poor advice to help navigate things with you in a subtle way."
Gould was at Stanford from 1966-2004. Only four coaches at any level of college, men's or women's, won as many national ****** les, and his players won 17 individual NCAA championships. Some of his best, topped by McEnroe and twins Mike and Bob Bryan, went on to win multiple Grand Slam ****** les.

AMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC) is an interesting stock. For a while, in 2021, it was a "meme stock," often in the news and surging more than 1,100% that year to more than $600 per share. The next years were different, with shares crashing 85%, 85%, 35%, and 61% in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, respectively. Altogether, that's more than a 99% decline. Ouch!

So far, 2026 has been quite different, with shares up about 63% (as of Sept. 4). Still, they were recently trading for $2.67 apiece. In other words, AMC Entertainment's shares are firmly in penny-stock territory. Should you buy shares now, while they're below $3? Maybe.
Penny stocks are notoriously volatile and risky, often tied to young, unproven companies, and occasionally hyped online. They're generally to be avoided. But AMC Entertainment, while definitely not a no-brainer, blue chip stock, is not a typical penny stock. Its market value was recently $2.4 billion, for example. Its last earnings report, for its second quarter, featured revenue of $1.6 billion, up 14% year over year.
So -- should you buy into AMC Entertainment? Here are some reasons you might:

Bayern Munich did not see this coming. Schalke came out with intent, and their low block was executed to perfection. A well-deserved point for the Royal Blues.
Fantastic defending, coupled with quick, incisive passing, and attacking initiative on counters meant Schalke was a thorn up Bayern's backside the entire game. Bayern were a snoozefest in the first half, and only the substitutions of Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Jamal Musiala into the game injected energy and purpose into the attack.
Tough day for the awards, but here are the standout performers from what was an absolute tussle of a game.
Karius just had the GAME OF HIS LIFE.
5 SUREFIRE goals saved. 3 high claims and 9 recoveries. There were other Schalke players having a better game up until the 60' mark, when Karius decided to single-handedly save his team on multiple occasions, denying Luis Díaz, Harry Kane, and Lennart Karl from point-blank range. Schalke have their star keeper to thank for keeping a point at home.

Here's a roundup of the menswear looks away from the Venice Film Festival and The Gentlemen premiere, with Lewis Hamilton making an occasion of Monza, while Andrew Scott and Andrew Garfield returned to traditional tailoring.
Considering Monza is the home of Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton was always going to make his arrival count.
The driver wore a Saint Laurent Fall 2026 black pinstripe suit, and I love the proportions here. We all know how much Lewis loves an oversized silhouette, sometimes to comical proportions, but the strong shoulders and wide-leg trousers give the classic shirt-and-tie combination a more contemporary feel, while the Kangol hat adds that signature Lewis touch.
Saint Laurent Stanton shoes, Renato Cipullo's Beryl Topiary ring and Briony Raymond Slim Sloan hoop earrings completed his look.

The U.S. Open has become one of New York's hottest places to see and be seen. But the tennis players and tennis fans would occasionally like people to watch the tennis.
Players at this year's tournament have complained about an influx of influencers and content creators disrupting matches with photo shoots, bright lights and videos. Meanwhile, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka stopped play Friday for a distinctly New York complaint: Someone was smoking weed.
"Someone is smoking weed," Sabalenka told the chair umpire during her third-round match against Kamilla Rakhimova at Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Play resumed and Sabalenka won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
The interruption follows growing debate over the atmosphere surrounding this year's U.S. Open, where the number of credentialed content creators has doubled from last year.

Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter received record-setting contract extensions this offseason, but neither defensive tackle views financial security as a reason to become comfortable. During his appearance on "Takeoff with John Clark," Davis spoke strongly about a close-knit Eagles defensive line that holds its members accountable before position coach Clint Hurtt needs to intervene.
That approach extends to conditioning.
Vic Fangio challenged Davis to improve his conditioning after arriving in Philadelphia, and the results were evident during Davis' breakout 2025 season. Fangio also established a target weight for Carter, who arrived for mandatory minicamp in improved shape. Davis said Fangio remains involved throughout the offseason, occasionally calling players to ask about their workouts and progress. Head coach Nick Sirianni shares that commitment because both coaches understand how conditioning can affect performance late in games and deep into the season.
The responsibility does not stop with Davis and Carter. Moro Ojomo, Ty Robinson and the other defensive linemen exchange observations and accept coaching from one another regardless of experience or draft status.
That willingness to listen has helped create one of Philadelphia's closest position groups.

Oklahoma hired him in January, and he quickly made an impression on offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle.
"I mean, he's the ultimate teammate," Arbuckle said. "I made it really, really clear to him on multiple occasions like, 'Hey if you see something or maybe you disagree with someone, I'm not one to just let it sit back. Tell me about it. Let's talk about it.'"

Twenty-one years ago, the White Sox swept the Astros in the World Series to end an 88-year championship drought, bringing baseball jubilation to the south side of Chicago. Occasional regular-season interleague series followed until 2013, when Houston made the move from the NL Central to the AL West, inviting the possibility that the two franchises could meet far more frequently in October. But that has occurred just once in the years since, with the Astros eliminating the White Sox in the 2021 ALDS en route to the pennant and sending the White Sox spiraling into a dark period for the franchise while Houston was in the middle of its golden era.
Five years later, the White Sox have emerged from their deep rebuild, and the Astros are desperately trying to keep their competitive window open. And in an ultra-weak American League (particularly outside the AL East), an unlikely race has surfaced between the White Sox and Astros, the current Central and West leaders, to claim the No. 2 seed and the valuable first-round bye that comes with it. As such, this week's four-game series at Daikin Park carried a ton of weight with October fast approaching. The Astros took advantage of the opportunity, taking three of four to close the gap with the White Sox to just 1.5 games.
Here are five takeaways from this week's series in H-Town.

When a team moves on from a general manager, it's natural to reflect on their tenure and contemplate how the moves they did and didn't make impacted the trajectory of the organization. Without question, the most significant transaction recently fired GM Dana Brown executed during his three-plus years leading the Astros' front office was trading outfielder Kyle Tucker to the Cubs in exchange for three players: infielder Isaac Paredes, then-top prospect and recent first-round pick Cam Smith and right-hander Hayden Wesneski. While Brown experienced several other successes and missteps during his time as Houston's baseball ops leader, that trade — and how much these three players end up contributing to the Astros — will define his tenure.

Kevin Kisner has admitted that he would be furious with the PGA Tour if he was Brandt Snedeker over the choice of golf course for the 2026 Presidents Cup.
Being captain of the US Presidents Cup team is probably quite a thankless task given that the International side have managed to win on just one occasion since the tournament began in 1994.
While it feels important for the event that there is a close match this year, Snedeker will know what a win for the International Team would mean for his reputation.
It is unlikely to do his chances of being a Ryder Cup captain in the future many favours.
Returning to Medinah may concern some American fans, given that it was the site of one of the greatest comebacks in Ryder Cup history in 2012.

The radio co-host said that his cancer is one of the most common types of thyroid cancer a person can get and that he will be getting an ablation procedure.
"You can rest **** ured; it's going to be fine," Bertrand said. "It is treatable, I am in excellent hands, and I am expecting this to soon be behind me in a short amount of time."
Papillary thyroid cancer is frequently treated successfully and is only fatal on rare occasions, the Cleveland Clinic website said.
