Gypsy Rose Blanchard had a clear vision for another trip down the aisle: a big wedding, a poofy dress, and her family there to celebrate. Months before Ken Urker's death, Blanchard opened up about the wedding she hoped to have with him after their years of separation and eventual reunion. Having married her first husband inside a prison visitation room, she wanted a very different experience the next time around. Urker was found dead at a Louisiana residence on October 1, his 34th birthday. Authorities have said the investigation into his death remains ongoing.

During a May interview with TMZ, Blanchard discussed her hopes for a future wedding with Urker. "I don't want to have a quick wedding, I want to have the big wedding," she said.
Blanchard wanted the dress and the chance to gather her loved ones for the occasion. She also recalled where her first marriage began, explaining why she wanted a larger celebration. "I want to have the poofy dress, I want to have the family there, because my first marriage, I got married in the visitation room by the bathroom of a prison," Blanchard continued at the time. "I deserve my wedding."
