Paddy Pimblett has issued a scathing response to Ilia Topuria's defeat by Justin Gaethje, as the Liverpudlian's rivalry with the Spanish-Georgian continues.
On Sunday, Topuria defended his lightweight ****** le against Gaethje in the main event of the UFC's remarkable White House event, with Gaethje pulling off a huge upset.
Topuria, 29, retired on his stool between the fourth and fifth rounds, as his American opponent, 37, unified the lightweight belts.
Gaethje had twice failed to win undisputed-title fights in the UFC, but he earned this third chance by outpointing Pimblett in January, dominating the Briton to become a two-time interim champion.
Despite the one-sided nature of Pimblett's own loss to Gaethje, "Paddy The Baddy" was delighted by Topuria's defeat – the first of his professional career. His rivalry with Topuria stems from an altercation in London in 2022, when "El Matador" confronted Pimblett over allegedly anti-Georgian tweets.

June 15 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that a July 4 celebration on the National Mall marking the nation's 250th anniversary would double as one of his signature rallies, blurring the line between official commemoration and political event.
Critics have accused Trump of using presidential events and public ***** es to promote his political brand, and his decision to label the celebration as a rally is likely to intensify that scrutiny.
"We are going to host the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all, a 'TRIBUTE TO AMERICA,'" Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The event is part of the administration's broader "Freedom 250" programming. Trump said it will feature military bands, flyovers and a large-scale fireworks display between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, attended Trooping the Colour, the annual ceremonial parade celebrating King Charles III's official birthday, held at Buckingham Palace on Saturday.
Over the years, this event has often left us with little more than balcony photographs, making it difficult to fully appreciate Catherine's ensemble. This year, however, we were treated to a complete view of her powder-blue Catherine Walker coat dress, which felt perfectly suited to the occasion.
The double-breasted design, accented with crisp white trim, struck a familiar note for the Princess, whose wardrobe frequently returns to clean tailoring and elegant colour palettes for major royal engagements. Paired with a coordinating Philip Treacy hat and classic white pumps, the look was instantly recognisable as Catherine's signature style.

Royal fashion watchers may also have noticed the resemblance to a Catherine Walker coat dress worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1987, adding another layer of royal fashion history to the occasion.

Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at sixth-year wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, No. 17.
Before the Broncos: Waddle (5-10, 185) began his career as a member of the Miami Dolphins, selected three spots ahead of All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. Waddle became a focal point of the high-powered Dolphins offense under head coach Mike McDaniel, a speedy option alongside Tyreek Hill in a loaded wide receiver room. In 78 games over five seasons with Miami, Waddle caught 373 passes for 5,039 yards and 26 touchdowns. Ahead of the 2026 season, Waddle was acquired in a blockbuster trade by the Denver Broncos.
Broncos tenure: Although he hasn't yet played a snap in a Broncos uniform, Waddle has wasted no time in integrating himself with the team. Waddle has been seen wearing Broncos gear on several different occasions and going out with team officials, including quarterback Bo Nix. Teammates and coaches have also embraced his arrival, performing Waddle's signature touchdown waddle celebration.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: As good as the chances of a hurricane in Florida. Waddle will bring a different dimension to the Broncos' offense, which it has lacked in the past. Waddle's addition will open up lanes for Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, Pat Bryant and others, and allow him to be an electric playmaker himself. Fans may see Waddle become a reliable WR2 for Nix. Waddle will be a player to watch in the upcoming season, no matter where he lines up on the field.

Justin Gaethje provided the perfect ending for American fans at the White House as he shocked Ilia Topuria to win the UFC undisputed lightweight **** le.
American Gaethje, 37, shrugged off his underdog tag as he stopped Topuria at the end of the fourth round to become undisputed champion for the first time.
Gaethje hurt Topuria multiple times in a brutal contest as the Georgian-Spaniard retired on his stool before the fifth round for the first defeat of his 18-fight career.
The one-of-a-kind show, billed as UFC Freedom 250, took place on US President Donald Trump's 80th birthday as part of celebrations to mark 250 years of American independence.
After securing victory, which UFC commentator Joe Rogan called "one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport", Gaethje did his signature backflip from the top of the cage before shaking hands with Trump.

Sweden moved to the top of Group F at the 2026 FIFA World Cup by claiming a 5-1 win against Tunisia in Monterrey.
Yasin Ayari and Alexander Isak put the Blågult – led by former Brighton boss Graham Potter – into a seemingly comfortable lead within the opening 30 minutes, but Tunisia were able to clinch a goal back and bring the dynamic of the game into question just before the break thanks to Omar Rekik.
Having been teed up by Viktor Gyökeres in the first half, Isak returned the favour and selflessly played the ******* nal frontman through on goal with an hour played in Mexico.
And there was late VAR drama as Mattias Svanberg saw his goal disallowed by VAR for offside, before an in-depth review overturned the decision after spotting a slight touch from Isak had kept the 27-year-old onside.
Deep inside stoppage time, Ayari added his second – and Sweden’s fifth – to bolster the Blågult’s goal difference, which could prove decisive given the competitive nature of Group F.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Mother Nature wrecked havoc on Travis Kelce's scheduled first pitch before Sunday's game between the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians.
The final game of the weekend series was postponed because of the threat of inclement weather, 40 minutes before the scheduled first pitch
The game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Sept. 4. The rescheduled game will start at 2:10 p.m. EDT with the regular game at 7:10 p.m. EDT.
It was sunny when the teams and umpire crew met, but weather radar showed a large cell of rain and thunderstorms coming in from the West and lasting for at least five hours.
Kelce was scheduled to throw out the first pitch after it was announced on May 27 that he had purchased a minority stake in the Guardians. The Cleveland native — a three-time Super Bowl champion, four-time All-Pro and fiancé of music superstar Taylor Swift — bought a small share of David Blitzer’s 35% stake. Blitzer can become the controlling owner after the 2027 season or he can wait to exercise that option later.

Thomas Tuchel addressed plenty of topics during his press conference ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Costa Rica and amid descriptions of the relaxed nature of the pre-camp and avoiding direct answers over the more concerning issues with this World Cup, the England boss dropped a small nugget of concern regarding Bukayo Saka.
Saka, one of four **** nal players who arrived late to pre-camp due to the Champions League final, will be monitored by the England staff who are ‘building him up’ for the start of the tournament.
Tuchel explained that Saka’s injury in March means a ‘little bit of care’ will need to be taken to make sure he hits his highest level in time for the World Cup 2026 group games.
The head coach said: "We still have to take a little bit of care for Bukayo who had an injury in March and carried it through to club.
“He made himself available at the end of the season and did so brilliantly but he was managed in between matches; that continues a bit at the moment. We are building him up.”

NEW YORK — In the midst of chaos and in the presence of doubt, Victor Wembanyama, the man among the monks, has always sought out peace.
There’s a surreal serenity that often accompanies turbulence. Safety in the eye of the storm. Comfort and calmness.
So on the morning of Game 3, with the fate of the Spurs’ season nestled in enemy territory, Wembanyama sat on a park bench with his family and drew. In that moment, there was no film study, no counters to high tagging or an emphasis on physicality. Just a Frenchman surrounded by nature and his canvas, like Claude Monet or Henri Matisse.
The incongruity of some of Wembanyama’s calmest moments coming within one of the busiest, loudest places on Earth boils down to an individuality that has elevated the 7-foot-4 center — literally and figuratively — above the rest of his esteemed colleagues. Two years ago, when a young, inexperienced Spurs group found itself in a bout of inconsistency, Wembanyama found himself in Washington Square Park for a game of chess. And two years later, when these same young, inexperienced Spurs fell in a 2-0 hole, his travels led him to Gramercy Park.
“Really tried to relax,” Wembanyama said when asked about clearing his mind following San Antonio’s 115-11 win. “The playoffs, it's like a — I don't know how to say that word — a whirlwind. It's hard to put your head out of the water. Sometimes I don't even got to watch the game back right away. I need some time off, let my brain cool down, recover. Recover as much for the body as for the mind.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Caitlin Clark was alone with the ball, right in the front of the logo with the game on the line.
As frustrating as this season has been at times for her and the Indiana Fever, this was Clark's comfort zone — and the shot hit nothing but net.
Clark's 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds remaining gave Indiana a 78-76 victory over the Washington Mystics on Monday night — and gave the 24-year-old star a signature moment following a rocky stretch at the start of her third season.
“I think sometimes we take great players, and certainly generational talent, for granted,” Indiana coach Stephanie White said. “What she did was incredible for us. She's going to have many more moments like that. I know she is. And we needed this one tonight.”
Indiana was just 5-5 entering the game. Clark was filling up the stat sheet but had not been shooting the ball well. As always, she's been under a microscope, having to answer for a feisty sideline exchange with White and receiving criticism by national columnists for her occasional histrionics on the court.

When President Donald Trump first floated the idea of hosting a UFC event on the grounds of the White House, few knew what to expect. Now, that vision has become a reality, as UFC Freedom 250 is set to take place on June 14 in the nation’s capital. The historic seven-fight card is stacked with marquee matchups. In the main event, lightweight champion Ilia Topuria will defend his ***** le against interim champion Justin Gaethje. Meanwhile, the co-main event will see former light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira attempt to make history when he faces Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight ***** le.
As intriguing as the fights themselves may be, UFC CEO Dana White has repeatedly described Freedom 250 as a one-of-a-kind event. According to reports, the promotion has invested nearly $60 million into staging the card, with little expectation of turning a profit. Instead, White appears focused on the unprecedented attention the event is expected to generate. With the UFC having recently secured a record-breaking $7.7 billion broadcast agreement with Paramount and CBS, all signs point to Freedom 250 attracting a massive audience.
White, however, believes the event could reach an entirely different level. The UFC boss has boldly suggested that the White House spectacle could challenge the viewership numbers typically ***** ociated with the Super Bowl, long regarded as the most-watched sporting event in the United States. Speaking with TNT Sports, White emphasized the historic nature of the event and reflected on how far mixed martial arts has come since its early days. He said, “It’s definitely a one-of-one event. And when you think about where we came from, and how this whole sport started, and how it was frowned upon in the United States, to now be headed to the White House is pretty surreal.”
White then pointed to UFC 306 at The Sphere in Las Vegas, which reportedly cost the company around $20 million to produce, as a benchmark for the scale of the upcoming event. According to the UFC CEO, the White House card will eclipse even that spectacle in terms of production value and presentation.
He said, “If we don’t win every production award for the White House fight, they should just stop doing production awards, because you’re full of ***** . The main event guys will come from the Oval Office. The walkouts and everything for this fight are incredible and a one-of-one.”

Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, Formula 1 once again transformed the city into a playground of speed, luxury and spectacle. From the palm tree-lined streets surrounding the Miami International Autodrome to the endless stream of celebrity appearances, yacht parties and brand activations, the race weekend has quickly cemented itself as one of the most culturally charged stops on the F1 calendar.
Sitting at the centre of that intersection between sport and lifestyle this year was Chivas Regal, who unveiled Chivas Regal 16 Limited-Edition alongside Ferrari driver and Global Brand Ambassador Charles Leclerc. The launch marked another step in Chivas Regal's growing investment in sport and culture. Alongside its partnership with the Scuderia Ferrari HP Formula 1 team, the whisky brand has also expanded into football as the official whisky partner of ****** nal FC, further positioning itself within ****** es where legacy, performance and global fandom collide.
Complex UK was invited out to Miami to experience the launch firsthand, which unfolded across a weekend of yacht-side ****** tail sessions, exclusive access to Ferrari's paddock and pit garage, plus an intimate sit-down conversation with Leclerc and Chivas Regal's master blender, Sandy Hyslop. At the centre of the collaboration is Chivas Regal 16 Limited-Edition: the first 16-year-old expression in the brand's history and Leclerc's debut signature blend. Built around the number 16—which has followed the Ferrari driver throughout his career—the whisky brings together 16 different whiskies, each aged for at least 16 years. But beyond the branding, the collaboration reflects a more hands-on creative process between Leclerc and Hyslop.
Speaking at the launch event, Leclerc explained how involved he became in shaping the final blend, travelling back and forth to Scotland between races to better understand the craft behind whisky-making. Working closely with Hyslop, the pair experimented with different flavour profiles before settling on a blend inspired by Leclerc's personal preferences, particularly the richness of sherry cask matured Longmorn single malt.
"16 has always been more than a number to me: it's something I've carried my whole career," Leclerc shared during the conversation. "Going to Scotland, seeing the distilleries, understanding the obsession behind every cask inspired me to create my own blend." That sense of detail and precision mirrors the mindset required in Formula 1 itself. Throughout the evening, both Leclerc and Hyslop spoke about the similarities between whisky blending and racing: the pursuit of marginal gains, instinct, patience and constantly pushing standards higher. "Charles didn't just put his name to this," Hyslop explained. "He was in the room, making decisions, pushing back."

It has been a phenomenal start to life on the PGA Tour for Alex Fitzpatrick when you consider that he did not even have a card two months ago.
Fitzpatrick has taken his opportunity with both hands after he won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside his brother Matt Fitzpatrick back in April.
The win not only handed him a PGA Tour card, but it also gave the youngster the chance to play in the signature events.
Remarkably, he has already registered four top 10 finishes in five starts, including a sixth place finish at the Memorial Tournament this past week.
In fact, the 27-year-old has a greater number of top 10 finishes in the signature events this season than his older brother, who won the RBC Heritage the week after The Masters.

The 2020s have marked a golden era of Dodgers baseball with a chance to three-peat this season, record-breaking attendance and sponsorships, and a roster that has continued to get better after every World Series ***** le won.
But LA has learned a lot about their organization in that time, and becoming the model franchise in baseball didn’t start with signing Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in 2023. This has been a process that dates back for more than a decade, and the Dodgers have identified personnel across their operation that have contributed so much behind the scenes in order to become the dynasty they are today.
One of those people is Dodgers Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Travis Smith.
If you don’t know Smith by name, odds are you’ve seen him in the Dodgers dugout after a big home run or on social media displaying a level of energy that shows what makes the sport so special. After Roki Sasaki’s Friday start vs the Angels, he immediately found Smith and spent some time going over what worked in his 10-strikeout performance.
The next day, I sat with Smith in that same dugout to learn a couple of things: What did his journey look like that landed him with the Dodgers? What has he seen from Roki Sasaki that has led to this recent success? And so much more.
Smith is a few months into his 14th season on the Dodgers staff. He has experience working on multiple teams at all levels, starting off in Double-A, then Triple-A, then getting promotions to be both Major League ***** istant and Minor League coordinator and. Now, he’s been operating as LA’s head strength and conditioning coach.
“Being a young, Black male from the city of Chicago,” Smith explained, “being able to be here on a center stage like this is important for me and for other people to be able to see that you’re able to make it.”
Coming from a heavy football background, Smith understands the discipline and competitive nature that different athletes carry. He played college football for four years at Taylor University and acknowledged it allows him to resonate with the grind that comes with a full season for all the players.
He also had to make some big adjustments once he pivoted from a football player to a baseball trainer.
“I didn’t really play baseball growing up,” Travis said. “Being able to turn on the switch, really just understanding how to train the body and the physiology allowed me to be in the room and once I got here, the players were very open to teaching me the game.
“Understand what these guys go through on a daily basis. Injuries, how to come back from that and put you in a sense of being understanding of this person.”
When the opportunity to work for the Dodgers came across Smith, he had to put other career opportunities on hold.
After working in multiple internship programs at the Minor League level, he landed his first full-time position with LA’s Double-A affiliate after working with the Miami Marlins Triple-A team the year befor

NEW DELHI: England's preparations for the second Test against New Zealand have been overshadowed by controversy, with captain Ben Stokes and all-rounder Gus Atkinson under investigation for an alleged breach of team protocols.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Tuesday that it is looking into an incident involving the two players following the conclusion of the first Test against New Zealand. England had won the opening match of the three-Test series by 115 runs at Lord's.
According to an official ECB statement, Stokes and Atkinson were present at a nightclub in the early hours of Monday morning when an incident took place.
"The ECB is currently investigating a breach of team protocols following the conclusion of the first Men's Test against New Zealand," the board said in a statement.
"Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson were present at a nightclub in the early hours of Monday morning when an incident took place."
The ECB said it is currently gathering additional information before deciding on any further action.
"We are currently seeking further information, and an announcement regarding the squad for the second Test will be made in due course."
The development has raised questions over the availability of both players for the second Test, with England yet to announce their squad for the match.
The ECB also confirmed that the matter has been reported to the Cricket Regulator.
"The Cricket Regulator has been informed and we will provide a further update when possible."
The incident comes as an unwelcome distraction for England, especially with Stokes captaining the side and Atkinson emerging as one of the key performers in the opening Test. The fast bowler finished the match with seven wickets and played a significant role in England's victory.
At present, the ECB has not revealed the nature of the incident, and further details are expected once the investigation is completed.

NEW YORK (AP) — John Mellencamp, Jay Leno and Whitney ***** s will be among the guest speakers when Bill Maher receives the Mark Twain Award for American Humor during a June 28 ceremony at the Kennedy Center.
The center disclosed the list Monday in an email sent to members, who were offered packages ranging from $99 for a seat reservation to $1,500 and more for seating and admission to pre- and post-show receptions. The announcement also marks a notable change in how the center is identifying itself: The news came from the Kennedy Center, not the "Trump Kennedy Center," a switch that also appears on the center's home page.
Last month, a federal judge ruled that President Donald Trump's handpicked board of trustees had acted illegally when they voted to add Trump's name to the venue, which Congress in 1964 named for the recently ***** assinated President John F. Kennedy.
"The Kennedy Center's organic statute makes crystal clear that the Center is to be named for President Kennedy, and it cannot bear any other formal name or public memorial based on the Board's unilateral say-so. Congress gave the Kennedy Center its name, and only Congress can change it," wrote U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper.
Although a Kennedy spokesperson suggested the venue might appeal the decision, the center received an email last week from its general counsel that laid out steps for cooperation, including the removal of Trump's name. After mostly ignoring the Kennedy Center during his first term, Trump soon made the center a key part of his overall mission to purge federal cultural institutions of so-called "woke" influences. He ousted the leadership, filled the board of trustees with supporters and presided over such signature events as the Kennedy Honors ceremony.

After emerging as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference last season, the Boston Celtics' playoff run came to an abrupt end. Joe Mazzulla's team dropped three straight games, two of which occurred at TD Garden, as they lost to the Philadelphia 76ers in the opening round. Of course, the nature of that loss has led to fans wondering what went wrong.
During a recent episode of WEEI's "The Greg Hill Show," Meghan Ottolini shared her thoughts on the situation. Ottolini noted that Mazzulla moved away from a lot of what was working in the regular season, including his 10-man rotation, among other things.
"I think they went away from a lot of the stuff they did in the regular season, and that was the mistake," Ottolini said. "Like the regular season, they had like a 10-man rotation, and then it took until game seven to see somebody like Hugo (Gonzalez), who I thought provided a big spark in the first half when he was in there. Even some of these other guys, like Jordan Walsh. (He was) one of the few guys on the team who could at least slow down Tyrese Maxey. I don't think you have a Maxey stopper on that team, but (Walsh could) at least slow him down."
Falling short in the opening round of the playoffs certainly came as a shock to the Celtics' fanbase, especially as it was against a Sixers team that had struggled for stretches of the season.
Nevertheless, Boston will now head into the summer looking to regroup and find some new additions to improve the rotation.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has been a big topic of conversation around the NFL, becoming the first player in franchise history to grace the cover of EA Sports' Madden for 2027.
Throughout his stellar 2025 season, Williams became a memorable figure in the history of Chicago sports, despite not winning a Super Bowl or major individual award, and used his time as the Madden cover athlete to pay respect to one of the greatest Chicago legends of all-time, Michael Jordan.
For his cover shoot, Williams pulled out his infamous "Jumpman," throw pose which he went viral for in a comeback win over the Green Bay Packers, where he converted a key fourth-and-8 to wide receiver Rome Odunze in the wild-card playoffs. With Williams' signature pose and throw featured on the cover, the Bears quarterback spoke about why that's the one he went with over any other pose, saying he wanted to pay respect to Jordan and the history he made for the city of Chicago.
"That’s the position I want to be in, but I also wanted to pay respect to MJ,” Williams said, via ESPN. “It was more of a respect thing. Bringing retro back, not letting people forget that and doing it on my side of the world of football. Paying respect to that and him and what he was able to do in Chicago. Just honestly wanted to bring that energy, that vibe back."
While there's certainly much more Williams has to achieve in his own sport to draw any comparisons to what Jordan did for the city of Chicago, if he can bring even just one Super Bowl championship in the near future, he may be loved and enamored in the city more than anyone since Jordan.

Gerald Willhite was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 1st round (21st overall) of the 1982 NFL Draft. He played for the Broncos from 1982 to 1988. In those 7 seasons, Gerald started 21 of 78 games. He ran for 1,688 yards and 17 touchdowns on 380 carries, a 4.4 average. Willhite also caught 207 passes for 1,767 yards and 5 touchdowns. On Special Teams, he returned 101 punts for 1,012 yards and one touchdown, a 10.0 average and returned 26 kickoffs for a 20.0 average. Head coach Dan Reeves liked to use Willhite on the occasional trick play and the halfback option pass was a play that Reeves brought over from his playing days with the Cowboys. Gerald didn’t fare too well in that capacity though, as he only had 2 completions in 13 attempts, including an interception.
Back in May of 2011, former Mile High Report staffer Krik Davis wrote that about Gerald Willhite as part of MHR’s Greatest to Wear Series. Remember, until Terrell Davis, the Broncos were always looking for that workhorse running back to pair with John Elway. Gerald was supposed to be that guy… and he could return kickoffs!
Unfortunately, despite the 1st round expectations, Gerald wasn’t able to live up to those expectations. He was a contributor, but was most underappreciated for what he brought to the game (and the fans) when he scored.
Long befor the antics of Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco, there was Gerald. He was ahead of his time with his signature touchdown celebration – a standing backflip. For me, a child of the 1980’s, I grew up with my mother literally squealing with excitement every time he did it. Then, I also remember her total disgust with the NFL for cracking down on it it starting in 1984, making the celebration an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Yes, the NFL literally stole joy from my mother.

Mason Greenwood at Fenerbahçe risks remaining just one of the many promises tied to the Turkish club’s election campaign.
Hakan Safi, who had identified the English striker as one of the signature moves of his project, is indeed close to defeat in the presidential race.
The entrepreneur had worked hard on the deal, eventually reaching a four-year agreement with the player and declaring his willingness to meet Marseille’s financial demands.
However, with the change of scenery at Fenerbahçe’s top management, the deal—according to Fabrizio Romano—will not materialize.
Roma, which has continued to monitor Greenwood closely, is closely monitoring developments in Turkey.

Scottie Scheffler has opened up on what frustrated him most about his week at the Memorial Tournament after registering his worst finish at Muirfield Village since his very first appearance.
Scheffler had a turbulent week at the latest signature event on the PGA Tour. It looked entirely possible that the world number one may even miss the cut after stumbling out of the blocks.
It was surprising to see given that Scheffler had won the Memorial in both 2024 and 2025. But it is also fair to say that the 29-year-old has not been at his very best for much of the season.
Nevertheless, it was jarring to see just how angry Scheffler was getting, particularly after he found the water on the 16th hole on Thursday.
The early signs suggested that things may not improve for Scheffler on Friday. He was three over par for the day through 10 holes. But just when it appeared that he may be about to miss the cut, he started to get his act together.

DUBLIN, Ohio -- For 13 holes in his final round Sunday at the Memorial Tournament, J.T. Poston played like a guy who hadn’t finished inside the top 20 all season. It was almost as if he reckoned, based on his form the first five months this year, that he shouldn’t be leading Jack Nicklaus’ signature event. And as he reached the 14th tee, he was, indeed, no longer in the lead, having squandered all of his four-shot cushion after 54 holes.
But folding never entered his mind.
“I'm not a quitter, so I hung in there,” Poston said after consecutive bogeys on Nos. 12 and 13 left him three over par in the final round and trailing for the first time since Thursday. “I just told myself … I mean, I hit a great putt on 13, right where I wanted and just didn't fall. But I told myself on 14 tee I was one back with five to go, still felt like I had a chance. I needed to play the last five holes really well. And I told myself I knew I was going to be shaking Mr. Nicklaus' hand walking off 18 no matter what, and I want to be proud of the effort when I did. So just to do it the way that I did, birdieing three of the last five, is a dream come true and something I'll certainly carry with me the rest of my career.”

A progressive Christian denomination is facing sharp internal backlash over a proposed rule that would require ordained clergy to be in monogamous ******* ual relationships.
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is set to vote on the monogamy requirement at its General ******* embly this summer in Milwaukee. The measure has sparked fierce debate and outrage from three official progressive church committees and polyamorous church groups, according to Religion News Service.
The PC(USA) has allowed for the ordination of openly gay clergy since 2011 and altered its definition of marriage to "two people" in 2014. The new proposed rule, known as CON-10, does not mention ******* ual orientation or same-sex relationships. Instead, it targets multipartner relationships, arguing that the practice of polyamory or polygamy can create "power imbalances, emotional harm, and spiritual confusion," particularly for women, children and historically marginalized persons.
The rule, submitted by the Sierra Blanca Presbytery, states that PC(USA) pastors must "display moral character" and, "if engaged in any relationship of a ******* ual nature, living in a monogamous one." The rule also asks the church to develop pastoral resources to help people leaving "polyamorous or polygamous situations."

German heavyweights Bayern Munich have forwarded a harsh message to Real Madrid, regarding the latter's pursuit of Michael Olise.
This of course comes amid the widespread understanding that the latter will imminently submit a big-money offer for the French international.
Olise has been earmarked by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez as the ideal high-profile reinforcement to Los Blancos' attacking ranks for next season.
The Spanish patron is therefore readying a staggering €150 million proposal for his signature.
If the latest word stemming from Munich is anything to go by, however, then Pérez and co. need not get their hopes up when it comes to Real's chances of actually striking a deal for Olise.

Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in signing Eli Junior Kroupi from Bournemouth, just a season after he joined the Cherries and impressed with his performances.
The 19-year-old striker emerged as the top-scoring teenager in the Premier League during his breakout campaign, and Bournemouth may now be forced to consider an earlier sale than initially anticipated.
Arsenal have been monitoring him closely and are said to be impressed with his displays, including a number of crucial goals he scored throughout the season. His development has placed him firmly on the radar of several top European clubs.
The Cherries would ideally prefer to retain his services, but the growing attention around the forward could make that difficult. Over the coming weeks, they may need to evaluate potential offers for his signature if interest continues to increase.
Paris Saint-Germain and several other elite clubs have also been linked with a move for the young striker. Their interest was previously viewed as a significant concern for ***** nal, given the French club’s strong financial power and ability to attract top talent.
