Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Hollywood plans might be on hold. According to sources, their Netflix film projects haven't shown any clear progress since March. However, another source claimed that this is standard practice in the industry. Meanwhile, their production company has reportedly lost another executive.
Sources told Page Six that the Sussexes' Netflix films, "Meet Me at the Lake" and "The Wedding Date," remain in development. The first is based on Carley Fortune's bestselling book. It has reportedly been in development since August 2023, and it's believed to have an attached director whose identity remains under wraps. "The Wedding Date," based on Jasmine Guillory's novel, has been in development since 2025.
However, a second source called it simply how Hollywood works. "Things are not made in a day," the industry insider said. They explained that adaptations take a while, especially as producers work with the book writers on the script.
The couple's untitled scripted polo drama also hasn't received any update. Harry is reportedly working on a documentary about Princess Diana ahead of her 30th death anniversary. Netflix's potential involvement in the film currently remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Archewell Productions' longtime head of nonfiction, Chanel Pysnik, is reportedly leaving. She helmed the Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan." Page Six was told that she wanted a "new chapter." Following her exit, Nishika ******* ble, senior vice president of scripted television, remains a key executive in the company. The outlet reported last month that Archewell Productions was downsizing.

For years, the conventional wisdom was that once you enter the six-figure club, your net worth explodes. This theory was first suggested by the late Charlie Munger, a billionaire and longtime friend and business partner of Warren Buffett.
"The hard part of the process for most people is the first $100,000," he said during Berkshire Hathaway's 1999 shareholders meeting (1). "You have a standing start at $0, getting to $100,000 is a long struggle."

The Washington Commanders appear to be making a change with their latest addition. Last week, the Commanders hired former NFL head coach and longtime defensive ****** istant Steve Wilks to a role on the coaching staff. According to head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Adam Peters, Wilks would spend part of the week in Ashburn working on game planning with the coaching staff and would not be involved in on-field player instruction.
For the first time since his hire became official, defensive coordinator Daronte Jones spoke about what Wilks brings to the Commanders.
"That was something that we had talked about back in training camp, but just for the value of experience that he has, we felt like we could use his resources and his expertise in some categories and experience," Jones said on Thursday.
Jones was asked whether Wilks' presence would let him, as a first-time NFL defensive coordinator, focus on other areas.
"Yeah, still working through how. It definitely does free me up in certain ways and just still manufacturing, working through how exactly we wanna disperse that, the workspace. So, we're still working through those a little bit."

Ian McKellen has paid tribute to his longtime friend and colleague, English actor Patrick Stewart, who died on Wednesday at 86.
In his remembrance, McKellen recalled meeting him "half a century ago" as young actors and how Stewart stayed true to his origins throughout his life. In a social media post, McKellen began his tribute by addressing his friend as "Sir Patrick Stewart." In 2001, Stewart was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire, known as an OBE, and in 2010, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to the arts.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, despite other team's recent inquiries, the Indianapolis Colts have no intentions of trading breakout defensive tackle Ade Adebawore ahead of the league's trade deadline:
With longtime veteran DeForest Buckner's departure, the 25-year-old Adebawore, who was originally a 2023 4th round pick by Indianapolis, is expected to immediately start full-time as his replacement going forward in 2026.
While those are big shoes to fill at 3T, Adebawore has had a standout campaign in a rotational role, recording 17 tackles (7 solo), a pass defensed, 4.0 sacks, and 15 total QB pressures during 7 games (1 start) this season.
Athletic, fast, twitchy, and featuring a surprisingly strong bull rush for his size at 6,'2", 282 pounds, Adebawore has really been flashing his immense athleticism so far this season and turning it into significant on-the-field production—albeit during rotational reps previously:
As a pending free agent in the last year of his current rookie contract, Adebawore appears to be an ascending young player and potential building block, who the rebuilding Colts would ******* uredly like to keep long-term defensively, with an ample amount of projected 2027 available team salary cap ******* e at $61.9M right now.

One ESPN ****** yst claims to have some insight on the biggest story surrounding the Detroit Red Wings.
In an episode of the Frankly Hockey podcast featuring NHL ****** ysts John Buccigross and Frank Seravalli published on Friday, Oct. 16, Buccigross said he had information that indicated the Red Wings will soon be making a blockbuster deal.
"I think there's going to be a trade within seven to 10 days in Detroit," he said.
Seravalli then asked Buccigross to confirm that he was talking about disgruntled star Dylan Larkin, to which Buccigross said yes, "that's coming."
Larkin's trade request became public knowledge on June 4, with the native Michigander having played a big role on the Red Wings since his rookie season in 2015-16. About a month after the news broke, the Red Wings parted ways with longtime general manager Steve Yzerman and named Shawn Horcoff the interim GM on Sept. 15.

Death, taxes, and the Dallas Cowboys being no match for the Green Bay Packers in the 21st century.
Much was made about how it had been 10 years (Thursday was the official anniversary) since the Cowboys tasted victory against their longtime rivals. Sunday night offered the next opportunity, and we are all going to have to keep on waiting.
The Cowboys were never really in the game against Green Bay and seemed to be fighting themselves as much as they were the Packers. It is hard to believe that they had the mini bye to prepare for this as they looked as without preparation as a Cowboys team has looked in some time.
Dallas is officially 2-4 after their latest outing and while they have the "benefit" of playing in a down NFC East… they in no way look like a team that you can trust right now. In fact, they looked like that last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and only corroborated that notion at Lambeau Field.
This is a really tough moment for a Cowboys franchise that has experienced several of them within the last 1,000 days (and well beyond that, but you know what I mean). What happens next? Anything? Should something?

Celebrity comedian Sebastian Maniscalco has responded to this week's uproar in the comedy community over his takeover of a SiriusXM channel that for years supported up-and-coming stand-ups while providing them a minor lifeline in royalty checks. He joins the broadcaster in ****** uring those up in arms over the station's disappearance that the company axed it well before the superstar took over.
In April, Maniscalco's Comedy Radio replaced SiriusXM's Channel 99, the longtime home of the Raw Comedy/Raw Dog channel, a small corner of the satellite radio giant where up-and-coming comedians could not only launch their careers but make a few bucks doing it. SiriusXM replaced the "jukebox channel," which rotated sets from comics and had no host, with one now "curated and headlined by Maniscalco" that features mostly mainstream and well-known talent. The uproar came this week when the advocacy group Stand Up for Standup and big-name comedians like Patton Oswalt, Margaret Cho and Michelle Wolf took to social media to ask Maniscalco to bring Raw Comedy back to the platform. On Thursday, the superstar comic replied.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's plans for a more private Ohio retreat have run into some very public objections. Neighbors of the $5.35 million Lake Erie estate are challenging proposed landscaping and fencing, raising concerns about a shared sewer line, wildlife, and how the changes could affect their longtime homes.
A six-foot fence has already received approval, but parts of the landscaping remain unresolved. The property's representatives, meanwhile, say they have adjusted the plans, paid for sewer repairs and added gates to accommodate residents.
ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA
According to the Daily Mail, the dispute centers on an estate in Bratenahl, a village outside Cleveland. Property records cited by the outlet show that an LLC linked to Kelce purchased the mansion in March. The 21,000-square-foot property features eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and a two-bedroom guest cottage. Built in 1895, it also has a former ballroom converted into a game room and home theater.
But proposed changes to the grounds have become a sticking point with nearby residents. Katherine Bolton, who has lived next door for 35 years, described news of the new owners as a "tremendous blow" to "the peace and quiet in Bratenahl."

Trillion-dollar conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRKA)(NYSE:BRKB) entered 2026 in uncharted territory for the first time in more than half a century. Rosie O'Donnell has issued a public apology to Wynonna Judd for "assuming" she was a supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump.
In an interview for The Tangle podcast in August, the comedian - a fierce critic of the American leader - stated that the country singer was one of the only fans of Trump in her life.
"Now, I am friends with Wynonna Judd, who I love very much, and I've known her for many, many years," she told host Kyle Ridley at the time. "And she is a supporter of Trump. And somehow, we never bring it up. I give her a grace in a way... And I really love her, and I care about her, and, for some reason, I'm able to put that aside when we interact."
Last week, Judd clarified that she was "an independent" and never discussed her political beliefs during an interview for People, and on Wednesday, O'Donnell apologised to her longtime pal.
"I was wrong to ***** ume Wy was a Trump supporter just because she performed at marlargo (Mar-a-Lago)," the 64-year-old wrote on Instagram, referring to the Palm Beach, Florida resort owned by Trump. "But as she told me she has sung for seven presidents on both sides of the aisle (sic). My apologies here publicly (as I first made them privately) #friendship - she's touring her new album now - go see her SING like no one else on earth."
In addition, a representative for Judd told Entertainment Weekly that the 62-year-old "did not perform for Trump" when she was at Mar-a-Lago for an unrelated event and that the Tell Me Why star has performed for seven U.S. presidents over the course of her career, both Democrats and Republicans.

Dolly Parton's estate has claimed that the late country music icon's nephew, Bryan Seaver, went to extraordinary lengths to evade being served with a summons—including allegedly draping barbed wire around the entrance to his property.
Seaver, who announced the "9 to 5" hitmaker's death on Aug. 25, was fired from his longtime role as head of security at Parton's properties on Sept. 16.
What followed was a bitter legal battle, with the entity tasked with protecting Parton's brand accusing Seaver of making threats of violence and vowing to destroy the singer's legacy. Seaver has fiercely denied the allegations against him.
On Oct. 2, he filed a motion asking the court to postpone a hearing scheduled for Oct. 9, claiming he had been unable to secure an attorney to represent him.

The US economy is stacking up wins, even if it doesn't feel that way for many households because of the resurgence in inflation.
The economy has now posted 78 consecutive months of expansion, the sixth-longest business cycle since 1854, per new ***** ysis from The Kobeissi Letter. This is well above the long-term average of 49 months and the median of 38 months.

By comparison, the longest period for the US economy without a recession was between 2009 and 2020, at 128 months. The record of course was broken by the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic, which ground the economy to a halt.

James Trevena may be playing a romantic leading man for Hallmark, but his real-life love story started long before he put on Sir Griffin de Beauford's armor. His longtime partner is Ivana Baquero, the Spanish actress who played Ofelia in Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth.
The 40-year-old stars opposite Julie Gonzalo in A Knight to Remember, which premiered Oct. 3. His relationship with Baquero has lasted more than a decade, according to TV Insider's Swooon.
Trevena accompanied Baquero to the Oct. 1 Los Angeles screening marking Pan's Labyrinth's 20th anniversary, according to Just Jared.
Baquero was 11 when she played the film's young heroine. In a 2014 interview with the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, she recalled drawing on her own experiences and feelings to understand the character at an age when she had little formal technique to rely on.
A year before their relationship began, Baquero had told the university that she was hesitant about committing to television. A series would require a longer stretch of her time than a film, complicating her other projects and law studies. She had chosen distance learning because acting regularly took her away from home.

Republicans are swamping House and Senate races with an unprecedented flood of late ad spending as the party tests whether hundreds of millions of dollars can buy it some reprieve from the eroding political environment that’s threatening longtime Republican states and districts.
Since the start of September, Republicans have made more than $700 million worth of new advertising bookings in congressional races alone, according to an NBC News ******* ysis of data from AdImpact, a political ad-tracking firm. That’s new money on top of what had already been committed to those races in ad reservations made over the summer.
By comparison, Democrats booked more than $430 million in new ad reservations across those races last month.
The disparity is greatest in the battle for the Senate majority, where almost 7 of every 10 newly booked advertising dollars are coming from Republicans. That’s led by a massive, late investment in the Senate race in Texas, where Democrat James Talarico is threatening a longtime Republican seat and the GOP has poured in almost $150 million in new ad dollars to back up its nominee, Ken Paxton.
The gap is smaller in the House, where a bit less than 6 in 10 of those new ad dollars are coming from the GOP.

At the end of 2025, Warren Buffett stepped down from his longtime position as the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA)(NYSE: BRKB). Over the 61 years he ran the company, the stock produced incredible returns for shareholders, rising by more than six million percent. Over the same span, the S&P 500 index (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) gained 46,000%.
Clearly, Buffett earned the nickname the "Oracle of Omaha." But can you still benefit from his investment wisdom now that the 96-year-old investor is no longer with Berkshire Hathaway? You sure can!

Buffett's investment approach is deceptively simple to explain. He liked to buy well-run businesses while they were attractively priced. Then he liked to hold for the long term, so he could benefit from the growth of the businesses in which he invested. That's something that any investor can do. And while all investment approaches go in and out of favor over time, this one has clearly proven itself to be a long-term winner.
That said, Buffett was also highly selective. He once described investing as a baseball game where they don't call ******* and strikes. His point was that you don't have to swing at every pitch, even though you should have a diversified portfolio. The Motley Fool recommends 50 stocks as a good portfolio size, but there are thousands of investments you could choose from. Once again, Buffett's advice is very good: Be selective.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, 79, was well known for his unwavering discipline with his workout routine in his bodybuilding era, but he is just as strict with his house rules.
The Terminator actor thrives on routine and order, admitting at the Town & Country Philanthropy Summit in 2023 his motto: "The key thing is in the morning, do right away something."
That's precisely why you won't catch him leaving the bed unmade. As well as ensuring he arranges the duvet perfectly, he expects the same from his children, and growing up, there were big consequences for anyone who left their bedsheets a mess.
The actor shares four children with his ex-wife, Maria Shriver: Katherine, 36, Christina, 35, Patrick, 33, and Christopher, 29. But in 2011, the actor announced he had fathered another child, Joseph Baena, 28, who is now a bodybuilder himself, with his longtime housekeeper, Mildred Baena.

Jordyn Woods has spent much of her life in the spotlight, first as Kylie Jenner's longtime best friend and later as a model, entrepreneur and celebrity in her own right. From her Hollywood connections and family background to her relationship with NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns, Woods has built a life that extends far beyond her former ties to the Kardashian-Jenner family.
But how much do we really know about the life Woods has created for herself? From whether she grew up wealthy and where she lives today to the eye-catching engagement ring she received from Towns and her estimated net worth, here's everything to know about Jordyn Woods' life, career and finances.
Despite her close ties to the Kardashian-Jenner and Smith families, Jordyn Woods did not grow up in a wealthy celebrity household. Her father, John Woods, was a television sound engineer who worked on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", while her mother, Elizabeth Woods, worked as a talent and brand manager. Her parents' careers gave Jordyn an early connection to Hollywood, and her family became particularly close with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith through her father's work, according to People.
Jordyn has acknowledged that she had certain privileges growing up in California and being surrounded by successful people, but she has also pushed back against the idea that her family was wealthy. In a 2025 interview with Crystal Renee Hayslett, she explained that her father worked extremely hard to provide for their family and said that they "definitely struggled," emphasizing that being around wealthy people did not mean her family had the same financial resources.
Jordyn Woods currently lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband, NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns. TMZ reports the couple purchased a $14 million home in the Los Angeles area, putting them among the city's many celebrity homeowners. Their move into the luxury property came as Woods continued to expand her career beyond social media, while Towns built his fortune through his NBA career.

Björk and Mugler make a compelling match, particularly when you consider their shared fascination with nature, technology and transformation. But this collaboration goes far beyond simply wearing a fresh-off-the-runway look.
On the same day Miguel Castro Freitas presented his Mugler Spring 2027 Naturalia X collection, Björk wore a custom look for a DJ performance in Poland.
Her look combined the collection's purple **** erfly-print second-skin top with a black leather corseted high-waisted skirt, but it was the headpiece that connected Castro Freitas' Mugler with one of the house's most celebrated chapters. Björk wore a fringed feather creation from Thierry Mugler's legendary Les Insectes Spring 1997 Haute Couture collection.
That archive addition feels particularly apt considering Naturalia X explores the relationship between nature and technology, the artificial and the primal. Castro Freitas has also described Björk as a longtime inspiration.
Her involvement extended to the runway presentation itself. 'Öll Birtan' featured on the soundtrack, while excerpts from the Venus as a Boy and Possibly Maybe music videos appeared in Casper Sejersen's visuals throughout the venue.

VANDALIA, Ohio — President Donald Trump rallied Saturday for Republicans in Ohio’s competitive races for Senate and governor, predicting that the party will defy expectations in a choppy midterm election climate.
“I think we’re going to have a big surprise, because they don’t know what’s happening,” Trump said while speaking onstage inside a high school gymnasium near Dayton.
“Just get out and vote,” Trump added. “If you do that, we’re going to win, and we’re going to win big. And we’re going to shove it up their ***** .”
The visit, part of what White House officials have told NBC News will be a push through at least 17 states between now and Nov. 3, was aimed at boosting Sen. Jon Husted and GOP gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy.
Trump, who won Ohio three times by comfortable margins, opened his speech with praise for both before moving into broader remarks to promote himself and his administration. He also offered support for local Rep. Mike Turner and for several House candidates in attendance, including Derek Merrin, the Republican running against longtime Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur in northwest Ohio.
