Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat broke his silence on allegations made by fellow streamer Reggie Travers.
The claims center on 17-year-old QuVonn RaKai Linder, known online as RaKai, who is a frequent collaborator with Cenat. Travers alleged in a YouTube video on Sep. 27 that Cenat is ignoring ***** ual abuse Linder has faced in their inner circle. "Kai, you wrong as ***** , 'cause you know somebody took advantage of RaKai," Travers said, referencing the young streamer.
Travers escalated the allegations during a Sep. 30 Instagram livestream, calling Cenat a "pedophile." "He been grooming RaKai," Travers added in the clip, alleging that Cenat has been encouraging RaKai to do ***** ***** ual acts "for clout."
Cenat, 24, who is the seventh-most-subscribed person on Twitch with over 21.9 million followers, officially addressed the allegations on a livestream on Sep. 30. "Tomorrow, when you wake up, call the cops. Call the cops and show them evidence because guess what? I am calling the cops!" he said on air, addressing Travers. "I'm suing you, bro!"
"I still have sympathy for you because I know you're not yourself, bro. But it's gone too far," Cenat added.

On September 15, Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc (NASDAQ:JAZZ) completed its acquisition of privately held Actio Biosciences for $820 million upfront, adding a clinical-stage epilepsy drug called ABS-1230 to its rare disease pipeline. The deal lands weeks after Jazz posted its highest quarterly revenue ever on August 3, and raised its full-year guidance, so a fresh acquisition now sits on top of a business that was already accelerating. The question for investors is whether that combination adds up to durable growth or just a bigger bill.
ABS-1230 targets KCNT1-related epilepsy, a rare and hard-to-treat form of the disease. In an early clinical proof-of-concept trial, children who received the drug experienced meaningful seizure reductions, and preclinical testing showed it inhibited KCNT1 across every pathogenic mutation researchers evaluated, hinting it could work across the whole patient population rather than a narrow subset. The FDA has already granted ABS-1230 Orphan Drug, Rare Pediatric Disease and Fast Track designations, and accepted it into the agency's Rare Disease Evidence Principles process, a set of regulatory advantages that can speed a drug toward approval.
The acquisition also arrives while Jazz's existing business is firing on multiple cylinders. Second-quarter revenue climbed 16% year over year to $1.2 billion, the company's highest quarterly total on record, and management raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $4.6 billion to $4.75 billion. Growth was not confined to one product. Xywav sales rose 13% to $471 million on 525 net new patients, Epidiolex grew 16% to $292 million, and Zepzelca jumped 42% to $106 million. Zanidatamab, sold as Ziihera in biliary tract cancer, also received Breakthrough Therapy designation from the FDA for a form of colorectal cancer, adding another avenue for the oncology franchise Jazz has been building beyond its epilepsy and sleep businesses.
None of that came free. The $820 million upfront payment for Actio lands on top of $4.4 billion in long-term debt that Jazz already carried as of June 30, even after the company used part of its cash to repay $1.0 billion of exchangeable notes that matured this year. Cash, equivalents and investments stood at $2.2 billion at that point, meaning the Actio payment alone accounts for a meaningful share of the company's liquid resources.
Jazz's recent history also shows how acquisitions can distort the bottom line before they pay off. A $905.4 million in-process research and development charge tied to the 2025 Chimerix acquisition pushed second-quarter 2025 GAAP earnings to a loss of $11.74 per share, and a smaller $77 million IPR&D charge from the AbCellera and Werewolf deals still dented second-quarter 2026 results. ABS-1230 itself remains early, with only proof-of-concept data in hand and no late-stage trial results yet. The portfolio is not without setbacks, either. Jazz is moving to voluntarily drop the second-line indication for Zepzelca in meta

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Saints are moving on to Week 2 sounding more emboldened than disappointed by their season-opening loss to Detroit.
"We're in a good place," Saints veteran safety Justin Reid said Monday, a day after the 31-30 overtime loss to the Lions. "When we click on all cylinders, it's evident what we can do."
After erasing a three-touchdown deficit in the second half, the Saints matched the Lions' touchdown in overtime and tried to win the game with a 2-point conversion that failed when second-year quarterback Tyler Shough's pass fell incomplete.
"A lot of teams would have folded," Reid said. "That's not the way that we're built."
Second-year coach Kellen Moore said the Saints "get to learn a lot from that game."

After an emotional 20-point comeback win at Ponte Vedra, Merritt Island played its first home game of the season against district foe Astronaut on Sept. 11.
The Mustangs showed no hangover effect, scoring five touchdowns and one field goal on six offensive possessions to defeat the War Eagles 45-0.
"I thought we came out and played a really clean game. That was the big point of emphasis this week. Last week, we had about 19 penalties in the first quarter and 27 overall and that's not indicative of what we are as a culture and as a football team," Merritt Island head coach Tyler Murray said. "We got after them a little bit this week. We played really smart. We celebrated with our teammates. We were firing on all cylinders."
It was a balanced offensive distribution for Merritt Island as five different players scored a touchdown. The Mustangs finished the game with 428 yards on 27 plays.
"We want to play basketball on a football field," Murray said. "We want to distribute the ball as much as we can."

The San Francisco 49ers came out firing on every cylinder to deliver a 27-7 beatdown Down Under of the Los Angeles Rams. From the decision to arrive early to their piling on late scoring, how well did Brock Purdy, Kyle Shanahan and the crew do in upsetting the Super Bowl favorites to start the season?
Offense: A-
The old guys ruled. And that Kaelon Black kid wasn't too shabby. A 30-something (Demarcus Robinson, Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel) accounted for their three TDs and an almost 40-something, Trent Williams, was the best of the bunch, because you and I had as many tackles, QB hits and sacks as Rams' All-Universe pass rusher Myles Garrett. Less happily, De'Zhaun Stribling and Jake Tonges were carted away in the second quarter. George Kittle was a rumor. Yet Brock Purdy didn't notice. Outside of a horrific interception, Purdy was terrific with his arm, legs and swaggy first-down celebrations. Does Christian McCaffrey finally have a caddy? Yes. Rookie Black looked excellent in a real game after resembling a third-round find in the spring and summer.
Defense: A+
Raheem Morris in 2028? The well-respected new defensive coordinator looked like Bill Belichick (the pre-2022 version) while his unit made the reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford look ordinary. Sorry, correction: not just ordinary, but awful. Having Nick Bosa, Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw (combined games played for 49ers in 2025: 9) back together did give Morris some added IQ points. The LB duo turned out the lights on the Rams when Greenlaw held up Tyler Higbee and Warner peanut-punched the ball out. The 49ers didn't have a sack, but they made Stafford unsettled. Osa Odighizuwa had four of their eight QB hits, including a pressure that led to Stafford's INT.

Prior to Thursday's victory over the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks added some depth to their secondary with the elevation of AJ Finley to the 53 man roster to feel more secure in the home opener. With that came the corresponding move of cutting 2025's sixth round pick Bryce Cabeldue. If the Seahawks hoped to get him back onto the practice squad, their hopes were squashed.
Per Mike Garafolo, Klint Kubiak added the guard to his squad over in Las Vegas. With familiarity with the scheme that he runs, it makes sense that Kubiak would want Cabeldue to join him with the Raiders. With the ability to play both right guard and left guard, as well as right tackle and left tackle, that helps Kubiak's squad have depth along the offensive line that ranked dead last in the league in 2025. Improving the offensive line was a focus for Kubiak, adding Tyler Linderbaum to anchor the interior at center, Evan Neal, and drafting Trey Zuhn III.
As it stands right now, Cabeldue is the third left guard on the Raiders depth chart per ESPN behind Spencer Burford and Antonio Mafi.

MELBOURNE, Australia - On a cloudy Sunday afternoon, an Australian man moseys down Flinders Street, one of the city's most historic roads, decked out in 49ers gear.
"You a Niners fan?" I ask as the man approaches, fully knowing the answer. He's rocking a white Christian McCaffrey jersey, a gold Super Bowl XXIV hat and an oversize red chain necklace attached to an oval-shaped 49ers logo. He's holding a red and gold pompom in his left hand.
For most NFL fans, this would be an excessive outfit on a game day. Raymond Schembri is wearing it five days before the San Francisco 49ers play their season-opener against the Los Angeles Rams at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Yet can you really blame Schembri? He has been waiting for this moment all his life.
"I've been a Niners fan for as long as I can remember," says Schembri, a 58-year-old resident of Yarraville, a nearby suburb. "To hear that they were actually coming to my backyard - our backyard - just (blew) us away."

Well, it's safe to say that the new-look Nittany Lions understood the **** ignment. In Matt Campbell's first game as the head coach of the Nittany Lions, he had his squad firing on all cylinders in a commanding 45-0 win over the Marshall Thundering Herd.
Quarterback Rocco Becht looked like the most experienced QB in the FBS, and receiver Koby Howard looked like a revelation with 161 receiving yards. On the defensive side of the ball, new defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn's guys were flying, led by spirited efforts from Tony Rojas and Caleb Bacon.
Here are the players of the game for the Nittany Lions.
You remember when Rocco Becht mentioned that he would try to get Koby Howard over 1,000 receiving yards in the year? They got right to it Saturday afternoon with Howard putting on a clinic.
Penn State fans have been begging for a star receiver, and they may finally have one on their hands. With 6 catches and 161 yards, Howard was the leading receiver on the day and flashed his elite skill set, with one of his catches from redshirt freshman QB Alex Manske being one of his highlight catches on the day.

A member of the loan ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona enjoyed something of a breakout performance in the colours of his new club this weekend.
The player in question? Ronald Araújo.
Stopper Araújo of course brought a surprise close to his Barcelona stint earlier this summer, taking his talents to Premier League heavyweights Liverpool on loan for the duration of the campaign.
The Uruguayan had since endured something of a hit-and-miss start to life at Anfield, accused of looking clumsy across a pair of appearances off the bench.
On Friday evening, though, Araújo provided a glimpse at the kind of physical dominance of which he is capable when firing on all cylinders.

Washington Commanders general manager Adam Peters set out to give his team and coaching staff a bit of an overhaul during the offseason. He brought in new coordinators and other coaching staff, and the roster looks quite different from what it did in 2025, especially defensively. Those changes, combined with the injuries the team sustained last season, have led NFL experts and ***** ysts to view the Commanders less favorably.
That negativity has put a chip on the shoulders of the Commanders' roster, and the fuel for that fire continues to pour in. The Athletic's Mike Sando had six NFL executives rank all 16 NFC teams, and the Commanders landed at 13th.
Votes: 13-12-13-14-9-13 | Avg: 12.3 | Median: 13 | Vegas wins: 7.5 (T-11th-NFC)Tier votes: Division contender: 1 | Sub-.500: 4 | Top-10 pick: 1The voter highest on Washington thought Jayden Daniels' return to health was enough to lift a Commanders team that has question marks entering coach Dan Quinn's third season, including first-time coordinators on offense (David Blough) and defense (Daronte Jones)."They get Jayden back, and Terry McLaurin will be healthy," this exec said. "They've added some really good parts defensively in free agency. They have to get the offensive line solidified."Left tackle Laremy Tunsil's season-ending injury will not help."I think they are going to be bad," another exec said. "The quarterback is talented, but his style of play, unless he changes it, is a concern. The weapons around him are OK, but I don't think it's a dynamic team offensively. Defensively, they plateaued."
Let's pull back the blinders for a minute and take a close look at the Commanders' 2024 season. What weapons did Jayden Daniels have to work with besides Terry McLaurin? What did the defense look like? How was Daniels' protection? As you answer those questions, remember how that season turned out for the Commanders, culminating in Offensive Rookie of the Year honors for Daniels and an NFC Championship appearance for the Commanders.
The 2025 season was plagued by injuries, so it's impossible to know what could have happened "if" certain players remained healthy. Now, everyone wants to throw the Commanders to the bottom of the league, which is only making the players want to win that much more.

The biggest opportunity for the stock isn't some futuristic gadget, but a powerful dynamic hiding in plain sight in its latest results.
Apple (AAPL) stock has delivered a handsome 40% return over the past year, and with the business firing on all cylinders, you might be asking a fair question: what on earth could drive it materially higher from here?
The answer isn't a secret new product or a far-off technological breakthrough. It's something much more immediate. The single biggest opportunity for Apple is simply its ability to catch up to the substantial, record-setting demand it's already seeing for its core products.
A 'Remarkably Better' Problem to Have
Apple's engine is running hot. In its most recent quarter, the company posted a record $109.4 billion in revenue, up 16% from a year ago. The growth in its core products was even more impressive. iPhone revenue surged 22% to $54.3 billion, while the Mac division put up its best June quarter ever, growing an eye-watering 29% to $10.4 billion. Management was candid about the situation, calling it a demand forecast issue. where the iPhone and the Mac are both doing remarkably better than we thought they would do.

On September 1, Helios Technologies (NYSE:HLIO) announced that its Electronics segment had expanded the No Roads platform with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, bringing familiar smartphone integration to boats, ATVs, and off-road rigs that never touch pavement. The announcement landed three weeks after Helios posted a second quarter in which that same Electronics segment expanded gross margin by more than 500 basis points, and it came alongside a raised full-year outlook. For a company known for hydraulic cylinders and industrial controls, chasing smartphone connectivity is a notable shift in emphasis.
No Roads was built jointly by Enovation Controls and i3 Product Development, pairing hardware built for rugged, integrated displays with i3's software and connected-product design work. Billy Aldridge, President of Electronics for Helios, described the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto rollout as a foundation for future connected capabilities rather than a standalone feature, and pointed to powersports, marine, overlanding, and specialty-vehicle OEMs as customers who now have a reason to look at Helios displays.
CEO Sean Bagan tied the move to a broader pattern of combining the company's operating units to build differentiated products, extending value to existing customers while pursuing new business in adjacent markets. The segment's own numbers back up that framing. Electronics sales climbed 19% in the second quarter of 2026 to $85.5 million, while gross margin expanded 530 basis points to 34.6%, pushing operating income up 90% to $11.2 million. That kind of margin expansion tends to show up when a business shifts from generic hardware toward harder-to-copy, differentiated products, which is exactly the case Helios is building for No Roads.
The company backed that story up at the corporate level too, raising its full-year 2026 sales outlook to $880 million to $900 million, up from a prior range of $840 million to $870 million, while cutting net debt to 1.4 times adjusted EBITDA from 2.6 times a year earlier.
Helios has not disclosed what No Roads, or the CarPlay and Android Auto features specifically, contribute to revenue, so the financial case for this rollout rests on management's framing rather than a number investors can independently verify. CFO Jeremy Evans tempered the company's own optimism when he flagged tougher year-over-year comparisons in the second half, along with geopolitical uncertainty, tariff dynamics, and broader inflationary pressures as ongoing headwinds.

It's finally a game week for the defending ACC champion Duke Blue Devils, who open their season against the reigning American Conference champions, Tulane. After seven months of offseason tweaks and offensive retooling, here's how each offensive coordinator arrived at this moment and what to expect from each attack in Week 1.

Brewer came over with head coach Manny Diaz in December of 2023 and previously served under him as a senior offensive quality control coach from 2020-2021 at Miami. Last year under Brewer was historic for the Blue Devil offense as the unit set the program record for touchdowns scored (63), points scored (484), and pass efficiency (152.53). The group was the first in school history to have a 3,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard receiver, and 1,000-yard rusher.
The obvious hurdle Brewer and this offense will have to overcome is the churn at quarterback. Darian Mensah was one of the best QB's in all of college football a season ago, which was a massive part of Duke's success offensively.
This season, the Blue Devils will trot out San Jose State transfer Walker Eget, who has some huge shoes to fill but has a great deal of experience as a Division I starter. Brewer has been known to do great work with QB's throughout his career, so it's certainly possible that Eget will come out firing on all cylinders versus Tulane.

On August 27, CIBC (NYSE:CM) reported third-quarter results that pushed adjusted earnings per share to $2.73, up 26% from a year earlier and marking the ninth consecutive quarter of double-digit EPS growth. Adjusted net income climbed to $2,648 million on revenue of $8,368 million, up 15% year over year, and return on equity reached 16.8%, up 260 basis points from the same quarter last year. The headline numbers describe a bank firing on multiple cylinders at once, even as management flagged pockets of strain underneath.
Capital Markets net income grew 34% year over year to $722 million, powered by equity trading and financing activity. Canadian Personal and Business Banking delivered $948 million in net income, up 17% from a year ago, while net interest margin climbed to 304 basis points, up 3 basis points sequentially on higher loan and deposit margins. In the US segment, net income rose 23% to $320 million, helped by lower provisions for loan losses and a revenue increase, even as net interest margin slipped 14 basis points sequentially to 3.76%. CIBC's efficiency ratio tightened by 200 basis points from a year earlier, the 12th straight quarter the bank has generated positive operating leverage, a sign revenue is outrunning costs rather than expenses eating into the gains.
Wealth Management showed similar strength, with ******* ets under administration and ******* ets under management both up more than 20% year over year and credit fees rising 25% on strong corporate lending and financing activity. Investor's Edge, the bank's self-directed investing platform, posted 34% growth in new account openings, and the managed mass affluent client base grew 4%, supporting a 12% increase in money-in balances. CIBC also returned capital to shareholders through 7.5 million shares repurchased during the quarter, and CEO Harry Culham pointed to the newly launched CIBC AI 2.0 agentic workspace and the CIBC AdvisorAssist platform, which he said cuts advisers' administrative documentation time by up to 50%.
Not every line moved in CIBC's favor. The Common Equity Tier 1 ratio slipped 19 basis points sequentially to 13.4%, as organic capital generation was offset by share buybacks and a $269 million charge, $232 million after tax, related to CIBC's planned sale of its Caribbean banking unit, CIBC Caribbean Bank Limited. Provisions on impaired loans climbed $64 million sequentially to $612 million, which CIBC linked to a handful of one-off credit issues inside its Canadian Commercial Banking and Capital Markets books rather than any broader deterioration. Total deposits fell 1% year over year, and GIC balances dropped 10% as clients shifted funds into higher-margin managed mutual fund products.

Despite capturing Set 1, the Missouri Southern State University volleyball team could not tame the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Savage Storm and fell 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 16-25) in their season opener Thursday at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
"To see our offense running on all cylinders early in Set 1 was great. We love that. In two, three and four, I just felt like we got outworked a little bit defensively — and the girls agreed with that," MSSU head coach Joshua Moore said. "I think it was a good lesson that nothing that happens this season is just going to be given to us. We are going to have to earn everything we get. Overall, that team outworked us, so we are just going to have to take it on the chin."
The match was the first of 12 for the six teams in the three-day 2026 Southern Invite.
In Set 1, Southern jumped out to a 4-0 lead in a run that included kills by Addysen Alvis and Grace Gardner and a Brenna Weaver service ace.
The Lions led by as many as 5 points twice in the set — at 10-5 and 11-6, but the Storm battled back to 20-22 off a setting error. Southern later closed out the 25-21 win with a Kaelyn Kendrick kill.

What a dominant showing from start to finish: our Red Bulls celebrated a thoroughly deserved 3–0 win over Mjällby on home turf to secure their spot in the UEFA Europa League's league phase. After a dominant but goalless first half, our lads were rewarded after the break with a brace from Konate and an additional strike from Haris Tabakovic.
After a cautious start, our lads steadily upped the tempo and created their first big chance in the twelfth minute. Tabakovic intercepted a misplaced pass from the Swedes, kept his composure, and played a sharp, low ball across the box—Eddi Baidoo missed connecting with it in the centre by just an inch or two. With possession hovering around 70 percent at times and clear dominance in terms of shots on goal, our Red Bulls took control of the match early on.
Mjällby tried to disrupt our flow of play with aggressive tackling, picking up their first two yellow cards after just twenty minutes. Following a heavy challenge by Granath on Nikolas Veratschnig, our right-back - clearly in pain - even called for a VAR check, though none was forthcoming. While the visitors offered absolutely nothing in attack, they made life difficult for our lads through sheer physicality.
In the final fifteen minutes of the first half, we carved out further opportunities to take the lead against the Swedes' deep defensive block. First, Abubakr Barry unleashed a well-placed long-range shot following a counter-attack (32'). Shortly after, Mjällby's tight man-marking prevented a goal when Baidoo played a ball across to Tabakovic. Just before the half-time whistle, Veratschnig curled a dangerous free-kick towards the corner of the target, but Mjällby goalkeeper Wallinder was equal to it with a strong save. The first half ended goalless.
After the restart, Haris Tabakovic and Konate initially missed chances from promising positions in the center of the box (57') before the breakthrough finally came. Following a long-range shot from Redzic, Wallinder could only parry the ball forward, and Konate reacted quickest to tap in a deserved opening goal (61').

On August 20, Futu Holdings Limited (NASDAQ:FUTU) reported the strongest quarter in its history, with trading volume pushing past HK$6 trillion for the first time. Buried inside those numbers, though, is a reminder that the company's oldest and largest client base isn't as untouchable as it once looked, with **** et outflows tied to new compliance rules. The result is a business firing on nearly every cylinder except the one investors have relied on the longest.
Futu's headline numbers back up the enthusiasm. Total revenue climbed 35.6% year over year to HK$7.2 billion, while net income jumped 41.6% to HK$3.6 billion, pushing net margin to 50.6%. Total trading volume rose 78.8% year over year to a record HK$6.42 trillion, with U.S. stock trading volume up 67.2% sequentially to HK$5.02 trillion as clients piled into semiconductor and artificial intelligence names. Client **** ets grew even faster than trading activity, up 43.6% year over year to HK$1.4 trillion, and margin financing and securities lending balances jumped 85.1% to HK$95.1 billion as an active Hong Kong IPO market encouraged clients to lean on leverage.
The growth isn't confined to trading. Net new funded accounts rose 23.7% year over year to 252,000, led by Malaysia, where the business reached operating breakeven for the first time. Futu also picked up a Type A securities license from Thailand's regulator, its third market launch in the ASEAN region, and became the first Hong Kong broker approved for securities-backed margin financing tied to virtual **** ets under an upgraded Type 1 license. In the U.S., moomoo's newly launched prediction markets generated more than $200 million in trade volume in their first month, while Futu's IPO business served nearly 60% of new Hong Kong listings during the quarter.
Not every part of the story is expanding. Chairman Leaf Li acknowledged that **** ulative **** et outflows tied to new regulations came to a mid-single-digit percentage of total client **** ets, the result of compliance-driven adjustments and risk-off sentiment among the company's Mainland Chinese clients. Growth is also getting more expensive to buy. Customer acquisition cost rose sequentially to HK$2,600 as new regulatory developments weighed on net new funded accounts.
Profitability showed some strain too, with gross margin slipping to 86.3% from 87.4% a year earlier as processing and cloud service fees increased, while operating expenses rose 35.1% year over year as research and development, selling and marketing, and general administrative costs all climbed on investments in AI, Web 3 initiatives, and international expansion. Even the brokerage business had a trade-off, as blended commission rates fell because a larger share of trading shifted into lower-margin U.S. stocks and options.

NEW YORK (AP) — In the opening scene of American writer Kim Stanley Robinson's "The Ministry for the Future," a heat wave combined with a breakdown of the electrical grid in India kills 20 million people. The devastation causes the world's nations to unite to combat climate change.
Scientists have long warned that the world will experience more intense extreme weather events like heat waves, storms, floods and droughts. But what once seemed like the realm of fiction is now discussed as a possibility, even an inevitability.
Warning about an "extreme of extremes" or the "Other Big One," a play off the California reference of a big future earthquake, can be fraught. After all, ***** ody can say for sure when a weather catastrophe may happen. But in the last few years, the planetary ingredients needed for a massive disturbance have been building. And alarm is growing.
"The risk is that people just think you are exaggerating," said Daniel Swain, a climate scientist with the California Institute for Water Resources. "It's the 'Boy Who Cried Wolf' problem. Sometimes wolves are real. If it's outside the door, wouldn't you want to know?"
In the 1850s, while living in Seneca Falls, New York, amateur scientist Eunice Newton Foote did a series of experiments that put different substances, including carbon dioxide and moist air, inside glass cylinders and left them in the sun. What she found was extraordinary: cylinders with carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that is released when coal, gas or oil is burned, heated up faster and took longer to cool after the sun went down.

The last time Maryland men's soccer stepped foot on Ludwig Field was to take on the Washington Huskies in the quarterfinals of the College Cup. The Terps left in disbelief after suffering a shocking 3-1 defeat on their home turf that abruptly ended their season.
Maryland men's soccer looked to flush the bad taste out of their mouth in their home opener against the New Haven Chargers Monday, and it did so in a wild 3-2 victory.
Following a steady 45 minutes of play from the Chargers, the Terps found themselves down one after a turbulent first half. In the second half, both teams came out firing on all cylinders by scoring a combined four goals in the span of six minutes.
Henry Bernstein scored the Terps' first goal in the 51st minute off a wild deflection that bounced off the Chargers' Felipe Lemos and into the net, tying the game at one. Less than two minutes later, Dominic Ayella scored his first goal for Maryland off a perfect cross from Dennis Kalanzi.
The freshman duo gave the Terps their first lead of the game, but it was short-lived, as the Chargers drew a corner and scored in the 56th minute. Lorenzo Garbarino soared into the box and placed a well located header on a spinning ball that found the back of the net.

Entertainment giant The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS)'s shares are down by 9% over the past year and by 3.6% year-to-date. One aspect of the firm that Cramer regularly discusses is its cruise ship business. For instance, in August 2025, the CNBC TV host predicted that The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) would make "a lot of money" with its cruise ship business. As the firm's new CEO previously ran its cruise business, naturally, Cramer had a lot to say about The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) on August 17th:
"I have been a big believer in Josh [D'Amaro]. First, congratulations to Chris Berman, ESPN legend. . .it's a good example of what, they have this ESPN and it's been, somehow been an albatross. I think that's ridiculous. They have all this great film they do these great things. Now Josh ran the cruise ships, if they could double the cruise ships then the numbers would go up big. James Gorman put them in a terrific situation in the interim. Do I want to own Disney? We owned it, it's very hard to own that stock because it's kept down by the cohort. The cohort is so miserable that you keep thinking, I don't want to get ahead of myself here because oh man, everybody else is doing terribly."
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) is in the unique position in the media and entertainment industry since it owns both legacy networks and has set up formidable digital platforms as well. Consequently, the debate for the firm also covers these facets. On the bullish front, The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS)'s unified streaming platforms are scaling up nicely. During its fiscal third quarter, the firm streaming revenue grew by 11% to $5.53 billion, as it added that streaming achieved a 13% operating margin. Additionally, and as Cramer loves to talk about, the firm's Experiences division, which covers the cruise business, is also performing well. Experiences revenue jumped by 10% to a record $9.97 billion. As a cherry on top, Toy Story 5 also crossed $1 billion at the global box office and allowed The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) to fire on multiple cylinders.
Yet, overall revenue in Q2 missed ******* yst estimates and as the firm does not provide a streaming revenue breakdown, it is difficult to determine whether the growth was a result of price increases or subscriber growth. Additionally, while the Experiences division remains a standout, its revenue is not secular and leads to concerns of causing a downturn for the entire business should The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) come to rely on it too much. Not to mention, Experiences is also a capital intensive business which ends up affecting cash flows and inflation and discounting cutting operating margins to below 24% could lead to weakness. To sum it up, while The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) is creating tailwinds from streaming and experiences, cyclicality for parks and continued troubles with linear offerings can create headwinds. Considering this, perhaps Cramer believes that increase cruise revenu

The Washington Commanders have an offensive line problem. That shouldn't have been the case entering the season, but a triceps injury to star left tackle Laremy Tunsil changed everything. While Brandon Coleman is a capable replacement for Tunsil, the Commanders were forced to remove Coleman from the left guard competition, making Chris Paul the starter.
One injury impacted two positions. Then, there is the center position. We've mentioned numerous times how GM Adam Peters may have overplayed his hand by releasing center Tyler Biadasz in February. The Commanders made a bid for Tyler Linderbaum, but dropped out when the Raiders overpaid. Washington turned to veteran Nick Allegretti.
While there are questions about Allegretti at center, Peters' big mistake was not signing a capable backup in case of injury or if he struggled to acclimate to center full-time. On the first day of training camp, Allegretti strained his calf. He missed three weeks, returned for a couple of days, and was out again. That left Washington with Julian Good-Jones and rookie Matt Gulbin at center. The duo has a combined two career NFL snaps.
So, more specifically, the Commanders have a center problem. Head coach Dan Quinn acknowledged as much after Saturday's 17-13 preseason loss to the Detroit Lions.
"So, we got work to do to figure out where we want to get to at center," Quinn said. That's as close as you'll ever hear Quinn come to calling out a player or position.

The Baltimore Ravens completed their two-day joint-practice work with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday at the TCO Performance Center. The final session placed a heavy emphasis on red-zone and situational football, giving Baltimore's starters another valuable evaluation before Saturday's preseason game.
The Ravens defense delivered another strong performance, while the offense continued to struggle to protect Lamar Jackson and sustain drives. Baltimore also received difficult news about center Danny Pinter before practice began.
Here are 10 takeaways from Day 2 of Ravens-Vikings joint practices.
Pinter suffered a torn patellar tendon during Wednesday's opening practice and will face an extended recovery. The veteran had worked with the starting offensive line for much of camp and was a legitimate candidate to replace Tyler Linderbaum.
Ethan Pocic was already scheduled to increase his workload during the second week of the preseason. Pinter's injury now makes Pocic the most likely starting option, although Jovaughn Gwyn has also earned first-team opportunities. Baltimore's center competition went from a three-player evaluation to an immediate depth concern.

The oil majors are soaring. ExxonMobil Holdings (NYSE: XOM) posted net income of $14.5 billion for the second quarter, more than double the $7.1 billion profit it had a year ago. Chevron's (NYSE: CVX) net income of $12 billion for the quarter was almost 400% higher than the year-ago quarter.
Chevron beat Wall Street's earnings estimates by $0.50 a share, at $6.06. Exxon, meanwhile, fell $0.08 short of estimates, posting adjusted earnings of $3.52 a share. The company said difficulties in its refining business were to blame.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Still, the increase in net income at the two oil behemoths is stunning. And both companies handily beat ****** ysts' revenue estimates. Of course, higher oil prices resulting from the war in the Persian Gulf and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which about one-fifth of the world's oil flows, are a huge part of that.
And both companies seem to be firing on all cylinders. So, the question is, which one is the better investment right now? I like Chevron. Here's why.

Cavan Sullivan has the Philadelphia Union firing on all cylinders.
Philadelphia continues to heat up in MLS play, earning their fourth straight victory in stunning fashion, completing a second-half comeback at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night.
Trailing New York City FC, 2-0, the Union managed to flip the script and secure a 3-2 win, courtesy of a trio of **** ists from the Sullivan brothers, igniting the scoring and setting up a Bruno Damiani brace.
Philadelphia's second-half turnaround was sparked by Cavan continuing his fantastic post-World Cup form, providing a pair of helpers to equalize. The 16-year-old has now recorded 1g/3a in his last two matches, proving a clear catalyst for the Union's playoff push.

The Las Vegas Raiders will play all of their starters on offense in the team's preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals. Raiders coach Klint Kubiak stated before the media on Tuesday that the coaching staff has a clear plan regarding how much the starters will play, as well as how much time rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza will see behind the starting offensive line.
"Our starters are going to play," Kubiak said. "So he [Mendoza] could get some reps with a few of those guys. But I just don't want to talk about how we're going to play those guys."
The Raiders will start left tackle Kolton Miller, left guard Spencer Burford, center Tyler Linderbaum, right guard Jackson Powers-Johnson and right tackle DJ Glaze on their offensive line. Mendoza will play behind starting quarterback Kirk Cousins with Ashton Jeanty set to start at running back.
Though Mendoza will be the backup against Arizona, the Raiders' No. 1 overall pick is in line to play alongside starting wide receivers Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor and Jack Bech. Mendoza has had a productive training camp this summer and will get his fair share of playing time in his first taste of NFL action on Thursday.

Even with almost one-third of their big-league roster shipped out of town ahead of last week's MLB trade deadline, the Mets continue finding ways to win ballgames.
The offense has been clicking on all cylinders, the starting pitching continues to deliver, and the new-look bullpen has stepped up tremendously over the past two series.
That was again the case during Monday's series-opener in Atlanta.
New York jumped all over Braves right-hander Bryce Elder, striking for seven runs on 10 hits over the first three innings to establish a commanding early lead.
They received contributions from up-and-down the lineup, but Brett Baty was accountable for the big blow, launching his first career grand slam as part of a five-run top of the first.

After its shares sank by more than 35% at the start of the year, Toast (NYSE: TOST) stock has come roaring back since the spring to near breakeven for the year.
The combination of mixed restaurant industry sales and the software-as-a-service (SaaS) sell-off contributed to its poor early stock performance, but the company itself continued to hit on all cylinders. That was seen again in the second quarter, with the restaurant software and payments company once again delivering strong results.

While Toast had been dumped in the AI loser bucket with other software companies, that narrative makes even less sense for Toast. First, its focus is on a sprawling industry of millions of small and medium-sized restaurant operators that aren't particularly tech savvy. Frontier model companies aren't going to look to put together the salesforce to sell into this market, and these companies aren't going to vibe code their own solutions.
Meanwhile, Toast's own AI-powered solutions have been gaining traction. Its AI-powered marketing agentic AI tool Toast IQ Grow is on track to become its fastest-ever solution to reach $10 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), as restaurants are seeing great outcomes with it. In addition, the company is looking to expand its agentic AI platform into other areas like payroll, scheduling, tax, and bookkeeping. Things like dynamic menu and margin optimization tools, and predictive labor scheduling can have big impacts for restaurant operators that survive on slim margins, and these are the types of modules that can really help grow its ARPU (average revenue per user) over the long term.
