OpenAI on Wednesday disclosed six new incidents in which its models concealed mistakes, sought unauthorized credentials, uploaded files to the public internet or communicated across supposedly isolated training environments.
Why it matters: It's increasingly clear that the Hugging Face breach wasn't a one-off incident, as AI models become more capable of finding unexpected ways to work around the guardrails meant to contain them.

With the bulk of the 2026 NBA offseason now concluded, and with the calendar now flipped to September, it's time to start looking ahead to what's coming next in the NBA, both this season and afterward.
In that spirit, and in the interest of killing some time in the dying days of summer, let's take a look at the five* most interesting players — to me! — who are entering their sophomore seasons.
(We've previously considered my five most interesting potential free agents in the class of 2027 and my five most interesting comeback players for next season.)
One note: I decided not to include the top three finishers in 2025-26 Rookie of the Year voting: winner Cooper Flagg of the Dallas Mavericks, runner-up Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets and third-place finisher VJ Edgecombe of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Princess Eugenie shared the sweetest carousel of pictures on her Instagram Stories at the weekend, featuring her adorable newborn daughter Adelaide.
The mother of three mused that it's been four weeks since she arrived. Marking the milestone, Princess Beatrice's little sister penned: "4 weeks of you!" In one snap, Eugenie showed her little girl swaddled in a blanket alongside her older brothers, August and Ernest. "Happy days with my babies," she sweetly captioned.
Princess Eugenie's three children looked adorable in new pictures (@ Instagram/ princesseugenie)
Adelaide's swaddling blanket came from a high-end children's brand, Atelier Choux. Known as the 'Baby Rocking Horse Swaddle', it costs £55 and features a pretty illustration printed on the front.

Brown Advisory, an investment management company, released its "Brown Advisory Global Leaders Strategy" for the second quarter of 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. Brown Advisory's Global Leaders Strategy delivered a net return of 4.6% in the second quarter of 2026, underperforming its benchmark, the MSCI ACWI Net Index, which returned 14.9%. The relative weakness was driven mainly by underexposure to semiconductors and technology hardware, while software, cloud services, and financial holdings also weighed on performance. The strategy benefited from holdings in areas tied to AI infrastructure, with semiconductor exposure and AI-related investments gaining from strong demand. Looking ahead, Brown Advisory sees an attractive environment for active stock-picking, with its ready-to-buy list at its highest level since the COVID-19 period and an estimated 12%-13% average five-year base-case IRR, while maintaining a focus on quality, valuation discipline, and long-term cash-flow generation. In addition, please check the Fund's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Brown Advisory Global Leaders Strategy Fund highlighted stocks like ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML). ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) develops and manufactures advanced lithography systems used by semiconductor manufacturers to produce cutting-edge chips. The one-month return of ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) was 0.87% while its shares traded between $716.20 and $1999.96 over the last 52 weeks. On August 7, 2026, ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) stock closed at approximately $1704.37 per share, with a market capitalization of about $668.71 billion.
Brown Advisory Global Leaders Strategy Fund stated the following regarding ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML) continues to benefit from the build-out of AI infrastructure and remains a critical enabler of leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing. ASML's dominant position in Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, where it holds a monopoly in the equipment required for leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing, positions it well to benefit from continued AI-driven capacity expansion and meaningful long-term revenue growth.

When Anfield had last hosted Liverpool, as Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson bade farewell and their teammates embarked on their final lap of honour, Arne Slot had remained sat in the dugout. It proved the last sighting of him in Liverpool. Some 11 weeks later, Slot's successor was a visible presence on the edge of the technical area, Andoni Iraola's constant clapping encouraging his players at the start of a new era. It began with echoes of the old: a 3-2 defeat to Monaco, with a lead lost at Anfield, and with a goal conceded to a set-piece, had some similarities with Slot's unravelling, even if the stakes were lower.
Iraola may hope the parallels with last season end when the competitive football starts. As it was, Liverpool outlined why they require Ronald Araujo and how their recruitment is unfinished. They have a left-back – Robertson's replacement is his former deputy, a returning Kostas Tsimikas making his Anfield comeback – but Salah's old spot remains unfilled. Lewis Koumas was a locum in the place of a legend on the right flank; the Welsh winger may be destined for a fourth straight loan spell rather than a run in the team.
Andoni Iraola still has work to do in the transfer market, as was evident in his Anfield bow against Monaco (PA)
His presence was an illustration that Liverpool's business stalled after the June signing of Victor Munoz. They are yet to achieve their main objective. One ambitious target, Yan Diomande, has already eluded them. Another is out of reach as long as there is a significant difference between Liverpool's valuation of Bradley Barcola and Paris Saint-Germain's. There is no point in putting in a bid now when the European champions want well over £100m.
Liverpool have shown a willingness to pay such sums in the past; but their budget is limited now. Their two £100m men from 2025 struck in a way that at least offered optimism they will deliver more this season than last.

Emerald Wealth Partners, an independent ***** et and wealth management firm based in Zurich, released its Q2 2026 investor letter for the "Focused Equity Strategy." A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The Strategy reported a 0.8% gross return for the second quarter of 2026. Equity markets rallied after the first quarter's Iran shock faded and oil prices reversed their spike, but the advance remained narrow and concentrated in cyclical semiconductor and memory stocks benefiting from supply constraints. The letter warned that investors were treating peak-cycle earnings as durable, while FOMO, IPO demand, and a US cyclically adjusted P/E ratio near 40 pointed to late-cycle market behavior. Long-term fundamentals are currently undervalued by the market, leading to underperformance in the strategy, notably due to the portfolio's avoidance of low-quality momentum-driven semiconductor stocks, which boosted the benchmark this quarter. It remains focused on enterprise infrastructure, digital platforms, custom silicon, and networking businesses that hold customer relationships, workflow data, distribution, and efficiency advantages, which could allow them to monetize AI rather than be displaced by it. Please review the Strategy's top five holdings for its key selections.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Emerald Wealth Partners Focused Equity Strategy ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW), noting its inclusion in the portfolio this quarter. ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW) is a cloud-based software company that provides a platform for automating and managing digital workflows. On August 04, 2026, ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW) closed at $118.14 per share. The one-month return of ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW) was 9.61% and its shares lost 35.25% over the past 52 weeks. ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW) has a market capitalization of $122.16 billion with a 52-week trading range between $81.24 - $194.73.
Emerald Wealth Partners Focused Equity Strategy stated the following regarding ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Finally, we added to ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW). As we explained last quarter, investors are drawing too few distinctions in the software sell-off. We believe businesses that sit at the operating core of large enterprises are far harder to displace than the market ***** umes, because what has to be replaced is not the code but everything built around it — years of configuration, shared investment and accumulated understanding of each customer's specificities. ServiceNow is the clearest illustration we own: its Now Platform has become the system of record for how large organizations manage work across IT, HR, finance, legal and customer operations, and the proprietary workflow data it holds is precisely what allows it to deliver AI tools that are immediately relevant — and what makes it a monetization vehicle for enterprise AI adoption rather than a casualty of it."

Few, if any, movie stars achieve the level of celebrity of Paul Newman without good fortune. No one recognized that more than the screen legend himself.

Newman's luck did not begin with his three-year stint in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He understood during his years in the Pacific (and then in Hollywood) that fate fell in his favor more than once.

Also Read: Why it took 2 decades for 'Patton' to make it to the big screen

While serving his country, forces beyond his control likely saved Newman's life. If a pilot in his squadron hadn't come down with an ear issue, Newman might have died at Okinawa—one of the bloodiest battles in military history. Then Newman was supposed to take part in the invasion of mainland ***** an. Dubbed Operation Downfall, Allied commanders called it off after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Newman, who died on September 26, 2008, at the age of 83, admittedly didn't fully consider the potential consequences when he enlisted.

"I thought it would be a big adventure," Newman said of joining the military during wartime. "I was really dumb. I never considered that it might be dangerous."
Academy Award-winning actor Paul Newman served in the Navy for 3 years. (U.S. Navy illustration/Peggy Frierson)
Born on January 26, 1925, in Ohio, Newman was in his first year at Ohio University when he dropped out. Newman signed up for the Navy with the intent of becoming a pilot. He never made it to the ***** pit after a supposedly routine exam revealed he was colorblind.

Newman pivoted from that diagnosis and began training as a rear gunner and radioman for Grumman TBF Avenger torpedo bombers. In the Pacific, the Navy ***** igned Newman to squadrons that trained air crews and pilots. After a stint as a turret gunner, the plan was for Newman and his squadron to meet up with the USS Bunker Hill, an aircraft carrier stationed near the shore of Okinawa.

They never made it that far after their pilot wasn't medically cleared to fly. That turned out to be a likely life-saver after the ***** anese unleashed kamikaze attacks on the USS Bunker Hill on May 11, 1945. Nearly 400 men on the carrier died, with 264 more wounded.

It wasn't the only time that Newman, then only 20 years old, skirted death during the war. He did it again a few months later. When the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, Newman was on an aircraft carrier several hundred miles from ***** an. Three days later, another bomb destroyed Nagasaki.

Approximately 214,000 ***** anese citizens, including roughly 38,000 children, died in the attacks, per the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). Those numbers don't include those who were maimed. While President Harry S. Truman's decision remains a source of debate, but Newman didn't question it.

"I know all of the controversy about those weapons," Newman said. "But I'm one of those guys who says, 'Thank God for the atomic bomb,' because it pro

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy has been slowed considerably in 2026 by hip and back injuries, but he's been on the mend, and he looked as spry as a cat jumping out of the dugout Aug. 3 to take the ball from starter Brandon Sproat.
In a highly rare move within a Major League Baseball game, Murphy made a pitching change in the middle of an at-bat, ending Sproat's night in the middle of the fourth inning with a 2-1 count on the inning's second batter, Pittsburgh's Jacob Gonzalez.
Sproat had just thrown back-to-back ****** to the backstop, allowing leadoff baserunner Endy Rodríguez to move to second base and then third with ****** ody out. The Pirates already had a 3-0 lead after a bases-clearing double in the third, all after Sproat had retired the first two men he faced in the inning.
Sproat finished with four strikeouts and three wild pitches in three-plus innings. The latest illustration of his erratic season might be the one that costs him a spot in the rotation; the Brewers traded for Cardinals starter Dustin May earlier in the day, Kyle Harrison is expected back from the injured list imminently, and Sproat's hold on a rotation spot already appeared tenuous.

Zendaya continues her legendary reign of method dressing on the red carpet. Attending the Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiere after-party in London, the actress turned heads in a jaw-dropping custom creation. Styled by her long-time image architect Law Roach, she channeled iconic comic book history. Consequently, her striking look brought classic Marvel art to life while delivering high-fashion drama that fans around the world will never forget.
For the late-night celebration, Zendaya wore a custom-designed halter dress created by American designer LaQuan Smith. The body-hugging midi dress featured bold, horizontal black-and-white stripes that wrapped around her frame.
The dress showcased a daringly deep plunging V-neckline that extended all the way down toward her waist. At the bottom, the sleek bodycon silhouette flared out into a dramatic, vibrant red satin ruffled hem at her calves.
The unique outfit was a direct recreation of a vintage 1980s Spider-Man comic book illustration. Specifically, it brought to life a paper-doll dress designed for Mary Jane Watson nearly 40 years ago.
Interestingly, Selena Gomez previously wore a bold striped LaQuan Smith knit dress during a high-profile appearance, proving the designer's mastery of eye-catching lines. However, Zendaya's custom version takes the striped aesthetic to a cinematic level by transforming comic book art into red-carpet couture.

Goalkeeper Danny Ward believes playing against Liverpool at Yankee Stadium is the latest illustration of how far Wrexham have come in recent seasons.
The Wales international had previously visited the iconic New York venue with Liverpool for a pre-season friendly against Manchester City in 2014.
Ward, 33, was between the sticks for hometown club Wrexham this time around as they were beaten 1-0 by Andoni Iraola's Liverpool.
"My last time here in this stadium was with Liverpool against Manchester City, so to be here, playing against Liverpool with Wrexham is a testament to how far the club has come in such a short **** e of time," he said.
"It's not the result that we wanted but there are plenty of positives, there was loads of good work out there and it holds us in good stead now.

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) and Core Scientific, Inc. (NASDAQ:CORZ) announced an infrastructure partnership on July 28 that starts with more than 500 megawatts of U.S. data center capacity in 2027 and can expand to 2.5 gigawatts.
The commercial link is a deployment bottleneck. AI accelerators cannot generate revenue without energized land, cooling, networking, and buildings designed for high-density racks. Core Scientific supplies that infrastructure, while the companies will jointly design facilities around AMD Instinct GPUs, EPYC CPUs, and ROCm software. For AMD, reserving compatible capacity can turn customer interest into installable systems rather than stranded chip demand, although the agreement discloses no GPU-purchase commitment.
For illustration purposes only. Photo by Brett Sayles on Pexels
The full 2.5 GW is not firm capacity. Core Scientific said the partnership is anchored by 15-year agreements for approximately 530 MW across five sites and more than $14 billion of potential base contracted revenue. That company estimate is not recognized revenue, and no disclosed GPU-purchase commitment lets investors translate it into AMD chip sales.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) will receive market-priced warrants to buy Core Scientific common stock, subject to commercial conditions. That feature aligns AMD with the infrastructure provider's execution and gives it potential equity upside. It may also dilute existing CORZ holders if warrants vest and are exercised, but the companies did not disclose enough terms to quantify that effect.

We admit, we're getting away with a technicality here by notincluding MuhammadSaid in our same-name parlay. After all, Magomed is the Russiantransliteration of Muhammad. Also, good luck trying to search thename "Muhammad Said" without any additional qualifiers and stillgarner any information about the fighter of that namesake. All ofthese Magomeds are rightful favorites, and in the case of two ofthe more expected victors of Tuchalov and Ankalaev, moneyline betsare just not worth it.

Therefore, we pair these three gents together, all of whom haveclear paths to victory against foes who have displayed exploitableweaknesses. Some are giving BogdanGuskov a proverbial "puncher's chance" to win this fight, although he might have some surprise jiu-jitsu in his back pocket.Nevertheless, unless Ankalaev chooses to take things horizontal—heis not nearly as keen on doing this despite his reputation, onlydoing so in his first triumphant meeting against AlexPereira. Against "Poatan," he did attempt a clean dozen shots. While he did not land a single one, the mere threat of the takedownallowed him to get in on the stoic striker and do some work. Shares in Aehr Test Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:AEHR) jumped by 11.6 percent week-on-week, as investors increased their exposure after management posted a highly optimistic outlook for fiscal year 2027, thanks to the continued strong demand for semiconductor testing.
In an updated report last week, the company said that it is targeting to grow its revenues during the period by 160 to 200 percent to a range of $130 million to $150 million, versus the $50 million posted last year, supported by a $100 million effective backlog.
For illustration purposes only. Photo by Sergei Starostin on Pexels
The upbeat guidance overshadowed its weak performance in the full fiscal year of 2026, with net losses wider by 82 percent to $7.1 million versus $3.9 million in fiscal year 2025.
The full-year loss primarily reflected higher losses in the first three quarters of the year, which more than offset the strong recovery in the fourth quarter.

President Donald Trump's White House posted a super-thirsty troll of pop superstar Taylor Swift amid her blockbuster wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.
Comic actor Adam Sandler officiated a ceremony joining Tay-Tay and Kelce at the Garden on Friday, after which the exterior jumbotrons read "JUST&T MARRIED!" — although the legal nuptials had reportedly already occurred.
The official Trump White House X account posted a doctored image of those screens — which read "TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT" — with the caption "IT'S HAPPENED!!!"

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump joined second lady Usha Vance on her podcast where guests read picture books to children, but Trump, who is notorious for veering off script, offered a running commentary on his predecessors, his physique, and how he's spending his time in the White House.
In Trump's appearance on Vance's "Storytime with the Second Lady," podcast, which was posted online Friday, the president read "Presidents Play!" a children's book from the White House Historical ****** ociation that features illustrations of the presidents enjoying sports and using the White House and its grounds for recreation.
Trump pre-taped the appearance in mid-June in the White House's Oval Office, where the abundant gold accents he added were supplemented for the occasion with a bald eagle stuffed animal, tables made up of stacks of oversized books and a globe made out of Legos.
When Vance asked Trump if he has much time to read for fun while serving as president, he replied that he ends up mostly reading newspapers.
"I usually read stories about myself," Trump said.

Liberte, Egalite, Mbappe. Or maybe it was Liberte, Egalite, Olise. France delivered another mission statement of a performance, another wonderful endorsement of their footballing philosophy taking them closer to a return to New York for a third consecutive World Cup final.
They are making history and making memories. The scorer par excellence and the creator nonpareil brought their artistry to the evisceration of Sweden. One day, perhaps, Graham Potter and his team may be able to cushion their disappointment with the knowledge they witnessed something special from the same pitch.
In Kylian Mbappe and Michael Olise, France have two candidates for the Golden Ball and if a certain diminutive Argentinian provides competition, this was an illustration of the contrasting strengths of Les Bleus’ devastating double act. Mbappe, with unerring brilliance, got the goals that almost seem a guarantee on such a stage, a third brace of the tournament taking him to nine in his last five World Cup matches.
Denied time and again by Jacob Widell Zetterstrom, Olise got everything but the goal; arguably, he was inches from scoring the best of the tournament with an acrobatic volley, but he showed surgical precision with defence-piercing passes. Maybe no one in the global game does it better these days. There was something fitting that France’s third goal came from a glorious Olise pass and a trademark Mbappe finish. It is a formula that could carry them to glory at the MetLife.
For a manager whose tournament has been tarnished by tragedy, a return came with a welcome from the French footballing family. His captain Mbappe greeted him with a hug when he made the breakthrough. His team delivered an exhibition. Deschamps, for so long ******* ed with faint praise, should be missed when he moves on.
