Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars premiered on September 15, 2026.
Each week, the stars and their pro partners collaborate on costumes that complement the theme and style of their dances.
InStyle looks back at 13 of the best Dancing With the Stars fashion moments throughout the years.
You may think you're simply reaching the age when Dancing With the Stars starts catering to you, but the long-running competition series is having a major moment in general. So, no matter your age, it makes sense if you've suddenly found yourself completely engrossed in the celebrity-meets-dance-pro spectacle (and keeping who's delivering a perfect 10 each week).
Of course, the choreography is only part of the fun. The themed costumes are often just as entertaining as the dances themselves, with every performance bringing a new opportunity for sequins, fringe, feathers, sheer fabrics, and plenty of sparkle. And when Disney Night, Halloween Night, or the freestyle round rolls around, you can pretty much count on the wardrobe department pulling out all the stops. Depending on the dance and its theme, contestants can transform from Old Hollywood starlets in sweeping gowns to disco divas dripping in rhinestones—and sometimes undergo multiple transitions in a single episode.

Jordyn Woods pulled off a move that only a few people dare to do, and that was to wear her own shoe designs to New York Fashion Week. The model and fashion designer attended the Michael Kors spring 2027 fashion show on Friday wearing a feathered sandal from her own shoe collection. Jordyn Woods Stephanie Augello Woods opted for the Woods by Jordan Stunt Sandal in gray. The bold slip-on feather sandal heels are a modern take on a traditional sandal. They are designed with a micro squared open toe, a comfortable and thong toe strap, all while balancing on a stable 4.25-inch heel. The slip-on shoe features a thoughtful wide-foot design and a cushioned footbed. They are designed with a 3.5-inch-tall feathered cuff, which can be steamed to fluff out the feathers for a fuller look. While the gray style is not currently available on the website, the designer offers the shoes in orange faux ostrich leather, denim, croc-embossed banana yellow, black leather, black feathers and white feathers. The shoes retail for $295. Courtesy of Woods by Jordyn. She paired the shoes with a look from the Michael Kors Collection. She opted for a sleeveless feather-trim wool tweed knit sweater paired with the matching

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has never been shy about speaking his mind, and as he enters what he is adamant will be his final season in the NFL, Rodgers is making it clear that he's letting whatever comes to mind fly.
In a two-part interview on teammate Cam Heyward's Not Just Football with Cam Heywardpodcast, Rodgers did not mince words about his feelings toward ESPN, doubling down on his criticism of the network during the Steelers' training camp.
"ESPN is really scared," Rodgers ***** erted. "Because I can speak up and speak my mind. And that McAfee thing rattled their feathers because I didn't just say that on McAfee's show—honestly, I love Pat, and he's done more for that network than any other horrible show they have on there—they should pay those guys doing it.
"But I also said, 'you're a gutless organization,' because they haven't said anything. They spend so much time on certain issues, but you won't talk one second about the Danny Russini situation?"
Rodgers also made it clear how he feels about former President Barack Obama and the lack of impact he had on the Black community, as well as where current President Donald Trump's loyalties actually lie.

A Virginia mom is appealing a criminal charge and her placement on the state's child abuse and neglect registry after her 5-year-old son was stopped by security while walking alone through their gated community.
Karyann Parkinson said her son, Sam, had been walking along a familiar neighborhood path past a pond to collect goose feathers when a security guard encountered him and brought him home.
Police and Child Protective Services became involved, and Parkinson, who was eight months pregnant at the time, had her six-month jail sentence suspended, but the charge remains.
Karyann Parkinson appears with some of her children in this family photo provided to Fox News.
She was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a first-degree misdemeanor, and was also placed on Virginia's Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry for seven years.

A mom of five was convicted last week of delinquency of a minor. Her offense: allowing her 5-year-old son to walk about a half-mile by himself in their gated community.
Until very recently, Karyann Parkinson lived in leafy Williamsburg, Virginia. She and her husband, Dallin, moved there from Utah so Parkinson could attend William and Mary Law School.
In June, when Parkinson was preparing for the bar—and also happened to be eight months pregnant with her fifth child—she and her then-youngest, Sam, went for a bike ride, as they often do. They stopped for her son's favorite activity: collecting goose feathers from the path near their community pond. When they got home, he asked if he could walk back and get some more.
Parkinson said yes. It's a short walk, along a sidewalk separated from the street by 10 feet of grass. Sam would have to cross two streets with crosswalks, which she'd seen him do safely hundreds of times—including six times that morning, she says. Off he went while she made lunch.
A passerby saw Sam and alerted security. One of the community's security guards escorted the boy back and gave Parkinson an earful. Pretty soon there were three cop cars, just as many cops, a security vehicle, and two Child Protective Services (CPS) workers at Parkinson's door.

Welcome back to Loose Feathers, a regular round-up of the latest news and ***** ysis about the Baltimore Ravens! In today's edition, we cover a headscratching decision from a division rival, an optimistic projection about Jesse Minter's new defense, and more!
Can you believe it? I mean, can you believe it?
On Monday, the Browns named Deshaun Watson their starting quarterback for their 2026 season. Todd Monken will go from calling plays for two-time MVP Lamar Jackson to, well, a has-been who just went 5-for-12 for 36 yards and an interception in a preseason game. Life comes at you fast.
Critiquing the Browns' decision-making requires understanding it, and, well, I'm not sure that is possible. But one of the weirdest wrinkles came this weekend, when Watson attacked Browns fans for booing him at Saturday's preseason game.
During his time on the field in Cleveland's second exhibition game – and his first at home since a 2024 Achilles tear – Watson was booed by several Browns fans. When speaking after the contest, Watson openly acknowledged the "personal" nature of the reception he received from the fan base and remarked he may need to approach the coming season as containing 17 road games. Cleveland's first two games will indeed be away from home, and it will be Watson tasked with leading the way on offense.

On Mardi Gras day in New Orleans, if you're lucky or in the know, you can see a dazzling procession of Mardi Gras Indians, or Black Masking Indians, marching through the streets, resplendent in suits that are covered in beads, feathers, and rhinestones.
"The makers of the suits work on them all year long for the display on Mardi Gras day," correspondent Bill Whitaker told 60 Minutes Overtime. "And they are elaborate, and meticulous, and colorful, and beautiful."
The suits worn by big chiefs, the leaders of the so-called tribes, are often the most detailed and impressive, and that's by design. But the big chiefs aren't the only revelers who get dressed up.
On Mardi Gras morning, Whitaker and the 60 Minutes team met Elenora Brown, better known as Big Queen Rukiya, who masks with the Golden Eagles tribe. Queen Rukiya revealed her stunning sea green suit, covered in feathers, intricate bead work, a banner emblazoned with the words "America," and rhinestone alligators hiding in the sleeves.
"I tell the people the story of the alligator, and how we lived, and how he took care of us, and fed us… clothes, shoes. And he is a sacred symbol of Louisiana," the big queen told Whitaker.

Pete Crow-Armstrong went on a podcast last week and said with a laugh he likes the theory that Babe Ruth never existed. Baseball's internet treated it like a confession.
"This is gonna be crazy," the Cubs center fielder told Kristin Cavallari on her show "Let's Be Honest." Then he brought up the theory that the sport's greatest player may never have existed. He picked up the theory from Tayler Saucedo, a Mariners pitcher at the time, who floated it on a podcast in 2024 because he had barely seen any video of Ruth playing. Saucedo said this was a discussion in the Mariners bullpen and that they also decided that Ted Williams' legendary 500-foot home run never happened either.
Crow-Armstrong piled on Ruth saying the game has changed so much since then that pitchers back then might as well have been throwing underhand.
Then everybody lost it. One site used the quote to worry about American public education. Another brought up the plague of misinformation. A bunch of them criticized the young Cubs outfielder. It raised eyebrows and ruffled feathers! That's a lot of coverage for a 24-year-old answering a question about an unpopular opinion on a podcast hosted by somebody from "Laguna Beach."

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers' explosive ESPN appearance on the Pat McAfee show has led to a strong response from Dr. Anthony Fauci's lawyer.
The prime of the COVID-19 pandemic is over half-a-decade behind the world now, but the fractures in social discourse from that traumatic time remain.
Sports stars like Aaron Rodgers embraced controversial stances such as doubting the vaccine advocated by the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Rodgers criticising Dr. Fauci again in 2026 has ruffled some feathers.
After Rodgers' recent appearance on ESPN's 'The Pat McAfee Show,' where he called Dr. Fauci a 'coward,' David Schertler, the doctor's attorney, responded with a simple but blunt message.

Barcelona striker Ferran Torres has ruffled quite a few feathers with his interview regarding his future.
The talented forward has been linked with interest from French giants PSG, with Luis Enrique keen to reunite with a player he has previously coached in his career.
When asked about the European champions' interest in him, Ferran admitted that he was flattered and reiterated that Barça had to show that they wanted to keep him.
The Catalan club are yet to enter contract renewal talks with Ferran and are waiting until September to do so after the transfer window shuts.
However, going by the Spaniard's words, which the club are not happy about, they will have to act soon if they wish to keep him beyond 2027.

Meghan Markle's life has changed dramatically since meeting and marrying Prince Harry — and her style has evolved right alongside it.
Before becoming the ***** ss of Sussex, Meghan was best known for her role as Rachel Zane on Suits. A California native, she favored a fun and polished style — mixing colorful dresses, bold prints and trend-driven looks on red carpets.
As she stepped into royal life, Meghan traded many of her Hollywood looks for more traditional silhouettes while still adding modern touches. But in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, she revealed that many of her wardrobe choices as a working royal were carefully calculated. Meghan said she often wore neutral shades like camel, beige and white so she wouldn't stand out alongside more senior members of the royal family.
That changed during hers and Harry's final week as working royals.
"Until that last week in the U.K. I rarely wore color," Meghan said. "I never wanted to upstage or ruffle any feathers, so I just tried to blend in. But I wore a lot of color that week. I thought: 'Well, let's just look like a rainbow.' "

CHICAGO -- Bryce Underwood has been outspoken about his hopes, dreams, and his talents. And sometimes, that's rubbed people the wrong way.
The former No. 1 overall recruit in the country has said he plans to win multiple national championships and a Heisman Trophy -- and that was before he ever even took a true college snap. He also told Big Ten Network last offseason, 'Nobody's seen a freshman like me.' So, when he had a bit of an up-and-down year, it rankled a lot of feathers -- both within and outside of the Michigan football fan base.
And then, after getting national criticism in the wake of former NFL star Eric Weddle's comments that he will be benched in favor of a backup, Underwood appeared at his own youth football camp and proclaimed that he would be the best player out of Michigan.
Many questioned what that meant. Was it the best recruit out of Michigan? Best football player from the University of Michigan? Either way, those are lofty shoes, especially considering former Detroit (Mich.) King star Dante Moore is one of the Heisman Trophy frontrunners and thought to be the likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL draft coming out of Oregon.
Still, Underwood clarified that he meant recruit from the state, and his confidence comes from having played against Moore and other top talent in high school.

Wales have finished in a disappointing 10th place at the Commonwealth Games after losing 63-53 to Tonga in their ranking play-off, two places lower than four years ago.
The Welsh Feathers ended their 2022 Birmingham campaign eighth and will leave Glasgow after another frustrating result in a campaign that produced one win and five defeats, having only beaten Trinidad and Tobago in the group stage.
The Welsh Feathers started brightly against Tonga, with captain Bethan **** feeding goal shooter Georgia Rowe well in attack to lead 10-14 at the quarter-time break.
Tonga rallied in the second, forcing Wales into errors from which they capitalised to bring the scores back level at 29–29 after 30 minutes.
The pressure on Wales continued as Tonga took control, netting 19 goals for the second quarter in a row and stretching their lead to 10 at three-quarter time.

The story of the week came from ESPN, where a supposed exercise in removing red ink became, for NFL **** yst Ryan Clark, more like a Red Wedding.
49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has chosen to chime in.
In his first actual tweet since November 2022 (he's had a handful of retweets since then without comment), Bosa reposted the original article from The Athletic about Clark's ouster with an “OK” emoji.
It's an odd postscript to the (relatively speaking) old news. And while those in the media accept that the public nature of the job will include a public reaction to the job ending, Bosa's tweet is another example of the notion that someone's firing is something to be celebrated on social media.
Of course, it happens to players. And while it's usually fans and not media members who pop a cork publicly when the player is cut from his team, it's easy to blur the lines. Especially if the media member in question has a reputation for the kind of candor that will ruffle feathers.

Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani is a UFC fighter, but not necessarily a UFC fight fan.
It's easy to ******* ume that MMA fighters enjoy watching MMA, but that's just not the case for Lebosnoyani (11-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) – a prospect in the UFC welterweight division. Lebosnoyani pulled off a big upset win over Seok Hyeon Ko at UFC Fight Night 281 last Saturday in Oklahoma. The 27-year-old didn't and won't call out a name to fight, not because he doesn't want to ruffle any feathers, but more because he just doesn't really follow what's going on in his weight class.
"I'm going to be completely honest: I don't know too many names in the division," Lebosnoyani told MMA Junkie Radio when asked what he'd like next for his career. "I'm not a major fight fan. I'm very focused on my personal growth, and I do study a lot of high-level fighters, but a lot of them are out of my weight class. So I don't really have any specific names to throw out there. When it comes to shows and arenas and locations, I was kind of hoping for an Apex debut, and they threw me out there in Houston, and with my last fight being in Oklahoma, I'm starting to realize I really thrive in the arena environments. So the bigger the stage, the more pressure, the more I'm going to come through and shine."
Lebosnoyani gets enough MMA training to prepare for his battles in the octagon. He doesn't find it healthy for MMA to also take over his life outside the training room.
"I don't know. I think I focus on fighting when it comes to training, but outside of that, I'm kind of just a normal guy," Lebosnoyani explained. "I don't obsess too much outside of the time I'm 100 percent focused, and I think that allows me to live a full life. There's more to just fighting and being super obsessive over things. My purpose in this life is to find balance."

Welcome back to Loose Feathers, where we catch you up on recent news and ***** ysis about the Baltimore Ravens. Let's get into the latest updates!
ESPN's Ben Solak named second-year cornerback Keyon Martin as his 2026 breakout candidate for the Ravens, a surprising inclusion among a group that included better-known names like Terry McLaurin and Nolan Smith. Solak admitted that Martin was "perhaps the deepest cut of this entire list" and noted his explosiveness before writing:
Martin is undersized for an NFL corner (5-foot-9, 170 pounds), but new coach Jesse Minter was comfortable playing smaller corners during his time as the Chargers' defensive coordinator. Quick eyes and even quicker feet in zone coverage are Minter's preferred traits, and Martin has those.
At his size, Martin likely can't play anything but the slot. The Ravens do love three-safety sets with Kyle Hamilton in the nickel, but when they want a quicker cover man, Martin has a chance to supplant Chidobe Awuzie as the third corner on the field, keeping Marlon Humphrey on the outside.
Martin impressed as an undrafted rookie last year and could benefit from the Ravens' infusion of secondary coaching talent, including Minter and defensive pass game coordinator Mike Mickens. However, the Ravens' cornerback room has gotten more crowded with the addition of fifth-round pick Chandler Rivers, a strong spring from 2025 UDFA Marquise Robinson, and returns from injury by 2025 Day 3 picks Bilhal Kone and Robert Longerbeam.

These stars said "I do" in their best bridal white.
With several major celebrity couples tying the knot this year — and more on the way (we see you, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift!) — there have been plenty of must-see wedding fashion moments to remember. Ahead, see the most breathtaking gowns of the year, from Dua Lipa's chic Schiaparelli to Lainey Wilson's flowery Oscar de la Renta ballgown.
01 of 08
For her low-key courthouse wedding to Callum Turner on May 31, Dua Lipa wore a Bianca Jagger-inspired cream suit by Schiaparelli couture, designed by creative director Daniel Roseberry. She paired the classy ensemble with matching gloves, Christian Louboutin shoes and an oversized white hat by Stephen Jones.
The following weekend, Turner and Lipa hosted their A-list friends in a lavish second wedding ceremony in Sicily, Italy. The Grammy winner shared photos from the festivities on June 20, showing off her custom Chanel haute couture gown embellished with crystals and feathers. Her low-back dress with a long train was the first bridal gown designed by Mathieu Blazy for a friend of the house.

Welcome back to Loose Feathers, a round-up of recent news and notes about the Baltimore Ravens. Let’s get into the latest updates!
NFL players routinely undergo minor surgery in the offseason to address lingering issues from the previous year. Two Ravens to do so this year are cornerback Nate Wiggins and offensive lineman Corey Bullock.
The Ravens anticipated a jump from Wiggins in 2025 that never quite materialized. He is among Baltimore’s several defenders who stands to benefit from a refreshed scheme and a new staff that is heavy on strong secondary coaches. A more reliable pass rush, strengthened by the addition of Trey Hendrickson and the potential return of Nnamdi Madubuike, would also provide Wiggins with much more support than he received last year.
Bullock, who missed multiple weeks of spring practice, underwent surgery last week (via Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun). He is expected to battle for the Ravens’ starting center job with Danny Pinter and JoVaughn Gwyn getting a jump start on the competition at mandatory minicamp. Getting back on the field by the start of training camp at the end of July will be crucial for remaining in the race. Even missing a few weeks could make it impossible for him to earn a starting gig by Week 1.
The Ravens announced that Kyle Youmans will succeed Gerry Sandusky, who retired in April, as the team’s new radio play-by-play announcer. He formerly worked in several roles for the Cowboys’ media team with experience across all types of radio, TV, and online content with play-by-play experience in football and several other sports.

Police are investigating the shooting of a golden eagle found with at least 17 shotgun pellets lodged in its body.
The bird - which survived the incident - was released in the Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders earlier this year as part of a pioneering project to boost numbers in southern Scotland.
Squeagle - a four-year-old female - is fitted with a tag which showed she had travelled through Northumberland, the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales.
A photograph on 4 May in Northumberland showed damage to her feathers before gamekeepers in the Lammermuirs noticed the bird was in pain and alerted the charity behind the conservation project.
She was collected on 1 June and taken to the Scottish SPCA for ***** sment and treatment.

You probably agree with the animals on which bird calls, frog noises and cricket chirps are most attractive – new research
Animals do all sorts of things to attract each other as potential mates. Many birds, for example, produce feathers with elaborate color patterns – from the iridescent plumage of many hummingbirds to the famously brilliant tail of a peacock. Charles Darwin, an early pioneer in the theory of evolution, saw these colors and concluded that they exist because other birds find them attractive.
But this raised a peculiar question: Why did Darwin himself find these colors beau
