Kelli Potter is opening up about what viewers didn't see on Real Housewives of Atlanta, saying the drama that unfolded on Bravo barely scratched the surface of what she was navigating behind the scenes.
Appearing on Carlos King's Reality with the King podcast, the RHOA star said her sophomore season coincided with one of the most difficult stretches of her life, from financial setbacks and the aftermath of her divorce to opening a new restaurant while raising her children.
"It took a turn financially," Potter said. "I invested all this money into this restaurant. I finally got divorced. I'm still not receiving the money I was supposed to receive. I sent my daughter off to college... It was so many different things that piled up on me that I had no control over."
COMPLEX SHOP: Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Uncover what's next. Buy. Collect. Obsess.
Potter said what made the experience even harder was reliving those moments after filming wrapped.

Stassi Schroeder discussed the negative comments she received after walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Show. The 38-year-old said critics compared her to SpongeBob SquarePants, and she admitted that she felt their remarks were "not wrong." However, the comparisons left her feeling insecure.
The House of Stassi star opened up to Page Six Radio on July 28 about what it was like to walk the runway. She told co-hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real, as quoted by Page Six, "The first year was really amazing. The second year, the trolls got to me."
Schroeder said online critics mocked her "rectangle" body shape and compared her to SpongeBob SquarePants. She said the comments made her wonder if she wanted to model in the magazine's annual fashion show for a third consecutive year.
The Vanderpump Rules alum made her first appearance at the SI Swimsuit show in 2025. She walked the runway again in May with Alix Earle, Tiffany Haddish, and Bethenny Frankel at Miami Swim Week. Although the criticism left her feeling "a little insecure," Schroeder said she still enjoyed the event. "I love doing it, I feel so ****** empowered, the girls are so nice. The atmosphere, the energy, it's such a girl power vibe, and everyone's there just lifting each other up. So, I really love doing it."
Schroeder previously faced public backlash in 2020 when Bravo fired her and longtime co-star Kristen Doute from Vanderpump Rules. The decision followed the resurfacing of their past racist actions toward a former cast member.

In the 30 days since Sophie Cunningham directed a prolonged point at DeWanna Bonner—and became a viral meme in the process—the Indiana Fever guard has gained more than a million followers on both Instagram and TikTok, according to digital **** ytics firm Social Blade.
For comparison, fellow Fever guard and WNBA megastar Caitlin Clark gained roughly 160,000 followers on Instagram during the same period. Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers and Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese—other faces of the league—gained approximately 8,500 and lost around 3,000, respectively.
Though Cunningham’s freshly supercharged Instagram follower count of 2.6 million is still well behind that of Clark (3.8 million), Bueckers (3 million) and Reese (5.2 million), her engagement rate—a metric of utmost importance to advertisers and brand partners—is much higher. Per Social Blade, Cunningham averages approximately 300,000 likes and 3,000 comments per post on the platform; Bueckers’s typical engagement—235,000 likes and 1,000 comments a post—is the next closest.
This isn’t Cunningham’s first surge since joining the Fever last year.
The guard—who had a relatively low profile during her six previous seasons with the Phoenix Mercury—earned a reputation as Caitlin Clark’s “enforcer” after getting into a brawl with then-Connecticut Sun guard Jacy Sheldon during a June 2025 Commissioner’s Cup game. Shortly after the incident, Cunningham launched a podcast with Colin Cowherd’s digital media network, The Volume. (The podcast, called Show Me Something, is co-hosted by Cunningham’s high school classmate West Wilson, formerly of Bravo’s Summer House.)

Kristen Doute has spent much of her adult life in the public eye. Bravo viewers have watched her go from "Crazy Kristen" on Vanderpump Rules to fiancée, mother and one of the most vulnerable stars on The Valley.
After years of sharing her fertility journey, Doute finally got the happy ending she'd been hoping for: an engagement to Luke Broderick and the birth of their daughter, Kaia.
So when cameras picked up last fall, a little more than two months after she gave birth, Doute thought she was ready.
Other moms had done it. She'd spent years sharing the highs and lows of her life on reality television. And she adored her daughter.
But behind the scenes, she was struggling. When her baby slept, Doute often found herself crying, questioning whether she was cut out for motherhood and wondering why she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

Bowen Yang thinks Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department deserves more respect. Matt Rogers is finally willing to admit that Tangled might be better than Frozen. And somewhere in the middle of all that, the Las Culturistas hosts teased a Culture Awards moment that apparently required law enforcement.
For Yang and Rogers, those topics all belong in the same conversation.
That's also the premise behind the annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards, the Bravo and Peacock special that celebrates everything from legitimate cultural achievements to delightfully specific obsessions. This year's nominees compete in categories ranging from Album of the Year to Best Disney Hotel for Intercourse, ****** or Lovemaking; Best Gay — Normal; and Best Thing That Could Change Your Life for Two Weeks.
Ahead of Wednesday's ceremony, the longtime friends caught up with Yahoo to discuss the pop culture moments they wanted to spotlight, the fandoms already stirring up controversy and why the annual event has evolved into a place where, as Yang puts it, "total irony and total earnestness" can live side by side.
Every awards show needs a little controversy, and Rogers and Yang are already teasing one particularly chaotic moment from this year's ceremony.

Recently, a photo went viral, showing Summer House exes Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula laughing together in New York City. These images quickly prompted their fans to weigh in, but as Kyle just clocked, many of their speculations were wrong. So, Kyle entered the chat, sighing, explaining the backstory behind these seemingly happy-go-lucky images.
The last time viewers saw Amanda and Kyle together was during the Summer House Season 10 reunion, where neither party smiled much. Shortly after, they reunited for their next reunion taping for In the City. Thankfully, they exited that studio in a much happier place. But no, as Kyle just explained, that does not mean he and Amanda are back together.
Over the weekend, Kyle posted his explainer on his Instagram Stories, which queensofbravo then reshared. "Alright, some of you have your tinfoil hats on," he began. "So I'm going to respond to the picture of [Amanda and me] laughing and smiling as we walk out of the In the City reunion." Regarding this sitdown, "It was a pretty chaotic, action-packed reunion for a Season 1 show."
He continued, "Amanda was in the hot seat, and she opened up a lot more than I would say she did in Summer House." Also, "I was in the hot seat, a lot of people were in the hot seat, and we all decided to get a drink together. Like, group therapy after you, kind of, leave it all out there."
"Amanda and I were headed down the elevator, walking out the door, and just kind of laughing, like, 'Can you imagine if there's a photographer that captures us walking out together?' And then, boom, that's exactly what happened," Kyle explained. "That causes us to laugh even harder. And yes, that's all that there was to it, guys."

Kyle Cooke is embracing his single status. He was recently spotted with a mystery brunette, and the duo was holding hands. After all, the Summer House star's estranged wife, Amanda Batula, is dating Kyle's friend, West Wilson. Still, the new couple didn't clear up many questions at the Summer House reunion.
Meanwhile, the new series In The City featured the breakdown of Kyle and Amanda's marriage in real time. Recent episodes showed Amanda getting a one-year lease for her own apartment, while the couple was still supposed to be working on their marriage.
TMZ reported that Kyle was seen in New York City at an Uber event. However, the DJ wasn't alone. In a video clip, Kyle and his mystery lady held hands as they walked around the party. The duo even listened to the Backstreet Boys with Bravo's Andy Cohen. Of course, it isn't clear whether Kyle and the woman were romantically linked or just friends.
After the fallout from West and Amanda's secret romance, Kyle has been living his best single life. There were reports that he was allegedly hooking up with Southern Charm star Salley Carson. Meanwhile, neither Salley nor Kyle confirmed that they were an item.
And Kyle has also been spotted on two occasions kissing fans during his tour. Ah, the life of a DJ. After being hurt by Amanda and West, Kyle seems to be enjoying flirting and being single. Of course, since fans can't get enough of Scamanda, Bravo gifted Summer House fans with a surprise bonus episode.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — One of North America's longest rivers, the Rio Grande — or Rio Bravo as it's called in Mexico — has a history as deep as it is long. Indigenous people have tapped it for countless generations and it was a key artery for Spanish conquistadors centuries ago.
Today, the Rio Grande-Bravo water basin is in crisis.
Research published Thursday says the situation arguably is worse than challenges facing the Colorado River, another vital lifeline for western U.S. states that have yet to chart a course for how best to manage that dwindling resource.
