King Charles and Queen Camilla's marriage has reportedly reached a "breaking point" in the wake of Earl Spencer's bombshell memoir about his late sister, Princess Diana, ******* led "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister." The newly released book has created quite the buzz among the royal watchers. Now, according to a new report, Charles Spencer's Diana memoir has caused intense damage to the married life of the monarch and the Camilla consort of the United Kingdom.
Earl Spencer's much-talked-about memoir, "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," has reportedly been damaging King Charles and Queen Camilla's marriage. As reported by Woman's Day, a source told them that "There's a lot of talk that she and Charles are well and truly at their breaking point, and that this is affecting the marriage in a very significant way." According to the source, "The growing consensus is that this Spencer book is well and truly the last straw."
Furthermore, the insider said to the news outlet that Charles cannot stop talking about Spencer's memoir about the late Princess Diana and everything it rehashed. According to the insider, the monarch has been feeling furious about the content of the book, and he has been struggling to accept that there is nothing he can do to stop it. Per the publication, the insider claimed that the monarch is currently on the "edge," with worries about the "calamity" the royal family might face next.
In the meantime, per the publication, the source further claimed that Camilla has been "trying to be sympathetic but she doesn't have a whole lot of patience because she feels attacked, too." According to the source, the Queen consort of the United Kingdom "is finding the overall atmosphere at Clarence House too much to bear at present." "It's no secret that she and the King aren't in a good place," the source also added.

Jon Heder recalls the restrictive dance belt he wore beneath his skintight Blades of Glory costumes
He helped design his character's peacock outfit, inspired by figure skater Johnny Weir's memorable swan routine
The Napoleon Dynamite star says he feels grateful that fans still embrace his beloved comedic roles
Jon Heder has very distinct — and restrictive — memories from his 2007 movie Blades of Glory.
In the film, Heder plays figure skater Jimmy MacElroy opposite Will Ferrell's Chazz Michael Michaels. His character wears a bevy of skintight, colorful figure skating costumes that would have looked right at home on retired figure skater Johnny Weir (on whom Heder's character was loosely based).

I'll admit that like many economists and market commentators, I have warned about more market calamities than have actually come to pass. I'll say this in my defense:
If you ignore risk, you take your chances with what the market does next. If you always seek to account for risk, you can ride the highs without being pummeled by all the lows. Over time, that's a more gratifying investment experience.

25-year-old Guardians LHP Parker Messick made his MLB debut last August, and so far the results have been pretty spectacular. Even if they're helped a little by a lucky batting average on **** in play (he's at .264 for the season, the MLB average is .289). That's not a crazy outlier though, I don't think. Messick relies heavily on a 94-ish fastball and slightly slower sinker; that combo has been dynamite for him this season. He'll frequently mix in a change, less frequently some breaking stuff.
75 years ago, Bill Veeck pulled one of his signature wacky baseball stunts. He signed 3'7" Eddie Gaedel to the Browns' roster and had him pinch-hit in a game. Gaedel drew a walk — obviously his strike zone was small — and Veeck replaced him with a pinch-runner. The pinch-runner didn't score
Now, Veeck owned the St. Louis Browns at that time, not the team in Cleveland. (So this is kinda the wrong week for this post. I thought this happened in Cleveland, until I started writing it.)
But Veeck had owned the Indians for four years, selling them in 1950 when he needed money for a divorce settlement. And had done some notable things with the team, like signing the first Negro League player to join the American League, Larry Doby. (When manager Lou Boudreau introduced Doby to the team, three players refused to shake his hand — and Veeck got rid of all three.) In 1949, Veeck signed Satchel Paige, the oldest rookie to ever play in MLB at the age of 41; he'd pitch 155.2 innings over two seasons for the team (and then became a two-time All-Star with the Browns).
Veeck claimed the idea of using a small person as a pinch-hitter was his own notion… however, there'd been a 1941 story in The Saturday Evening Post called "You Could Look it Up" by James Thurber, author of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." You can read the Thurber story here, if you like. It has paintings by Norman Rockwell which are very detailed and striking, as usual:

Rihanna! Anne Hathaway! Billie Eilish! Olivia Dean! Raye! Those are just a few of the names that Nina Garcia has managed to secure for the cover of ELLE throughout 2026. Up next on the cover of ELLE is none other than Julia Garner, who makes an appearance on the October edition of the magazine. In her American ELLE cover debut, the American actress lights up a cigarette in the unconventional cover photograph, captured by the photographer Allan Hamitouche. Against a classic grey studio backdrop, the Golden Globe Award-winning talent showcases a feathered creation from Pierpaolo Piccioli's debut Balenciaga Haute Couture Fall 2026 collection.

GUILFORD - New seasons bring new faces. Those new faces could determine the success or failures of teams.
For the Guilford football team, it was a mix of new and old which made a difference in its season opener against Amity.
Behind 86 yards and a touchdown on the ground by junior Shane Connelly, 123 yards and a touchdown in the air by sophomore quarterback Ryan Lynch and a tough as nails defense, Guilford topped Amity 21-7 in a Southern Connecticut Conference contest at Kavanaugh Field at Guilford High Thursday evening.
"We practiced, we knew what they were going to do," Connelly said. "We knew their concepts, and what they were planning to do on us. I think we handled it perfectly."
For Amity, it was the story of missed opportunities as the Spartans could not capitalize until Colt Snowden connecting with Tyler McDaniel on a 10-yard touchdown with 4 minutes, 40 seconds remaining in the game to cut the deficit to 14 points.

Liverpool are going to be buying another defender in the near future.
Everything is gearing up for the departure of Virgil van Dijk. He is entering the final year of his contract at Anfield. Liverpool decided to extend his deal last year.
However, with Van Dijk set to turn 36-years-old next summer it's really hard to see Liverpool's board extending his stay even further than his current terms.
Obviously, at this stage anything can happen. A lot will depend on the new direction the club is going to take. Especially in terms of who the new sporting director will be and just how involved the new consortium led by Amit Bhatia who now own 33% of Liverpool are going to be as well.
But the truth is the foundations are there for Liverpool to succeed Van Dijk.

McDonald's India deleted a run of posts from its verified X (Twitter) account on Sunday. Written in the first person, they claimed an unpaid intern was owed ₹60,000, then promoted a meme coin.
The drama arrived at a low point for the stock. McDonald's Corporation (MCD) closed Friday at $255.69, its weakest level in a year. However, Wall Street has not followed it down.
The account said the writer interned at McDonald's India and ran several of the company's Asian social media handles. It named a manager, Amit Joshi, and said no salary had arrived since December 2025.
A later post revised that date to May, an inconsistency that fueled doubt. Another put the outstanding sum above ₹60,000, roughly $650. One said meme coin trading losses had left the writer starving daily.
Final messages promoted a token and shared crypto wallet addresses, before noting that fees had been claimed. McDonald's India pulled the thread and answered with a meme of a dog holding a phone.

Borussia Dortmund did it the hard way today in only their second match of the season. Away to Hoffenheim, the Black and Yellows went two goals behind, leaving it all to do with thirty minutes to play. Waldemar Anton took charge, sporting the captain's armband, blasting through the Hoffenheim defense at a lax moment to nick a loose ball and square it for Serhou Guirassy, who got the comeback started. BVB would find two further goals from Fabio Silva, and an own goal created by some intelligent interplay between Silva and Nwaneri.
The defense today was… not exactly sterling. The injury to Mane unsettled the back line, and despite some bright spots specifically from Gadou in progression, there were also some calamitous errors that gave Hoffenheim control of the momentum. Anton has been given the tricky task of leading a young, inexperienced back line. Gadou and Mane are talented, but they are both really in their first seasons of top flight football. Anton needs to keep them in check and handle his defensive duties as well. It's a lot of responsibity for BVB's stand-in captain. Anton's tenacity to win the ball high up the pitch got his team back into the game, and he deserves credit for his efforts across the pitch.
An additional note on Mane. I'm worried about this kid. Two hamstring injuries in only a few professional matches point to either a more serious issue, or insufficient preparation from the physio team. Mane has looked promising in the lead up to the season, but these injuries threaten to derail his career. BVB need to get their well-paid medical staff to figure out what's going on here.
Anyone seen the midfield? I can't seem to find it.
I'm not sure if we blame Kovac here, blame the players, blame the system, but my goodness where is our central spine? Hoffenheim ran down the throat of the BVB defense for the entire first half because there seemed to be no cover in front of it. Maybe we will see more of Veerman in the weeks to come, but it's not like the dutchman is some deep-lying enforcer—he is a creator. If BVB are going to be fielding a juvenile back line for the next few weeks (they are), the midfield needs to provide some better cover.

Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner claimed the video **** istant referee (VAR) was "guessing" and should not have intervened in ruling out Neco Williams' goal in their 0-0 draw with Tottenham.
Williams' second-half effort was chalked off with the full-back adjudged to have bundled the ball in with his arm after some calamitous Tottenham defending at the City Ground.
The Forest defender denied it came off his arm and insisted it should have stood.
Initially, referee Craig Pawson awarded the goal but VAR Peter Bankes intervened.
"I watched five or six different angles and, to be fair, from one angle you can guess that the ball touched the arm because the shirt moves a little bit, but it's not clear is it the ball or [Sandro] Tonali on the goalline," said Glasner.

After a slow start to the season, there would have been hope that this fixture against Nottingham Forest would be the moment things started to click for Tottenham Hotspur. Instead, Spurs had to settle for a goalless draw as their wait for a first Premier League goal of the season continued.
Roberto De Zerbi made three changes from the loss against Newcastle United, with Destiny Udogie and Savio getting their first league starts of the season, and Conor Gallagher returning to the XI in favor of Mateus Fernandes. Forest made one change, as Liam Delap was preferred to Igor Jesus up front.
This first half was full of physicality but not much quality. Both sides struggled to create clearcut scoring opportunities, with set pieces and long-range efforts the only real threats from either side. There was a sort of symmetry to the chance creation, though, as both Spurs and Forest saw attackers in behind one-on-one with the keeper only for the attacker to fail to capitalize and the referee to also call the play back. Omar Marmoush for Spurs was the first, breaking away from Neco Williams to latch onto Porro's long ball, only for a foul to be awarded to Williams for a shove by the Egyptian; while Morgan Gibbs-White was flagged for offside as he sprinted in behind Jan Paul van Hecke.
With both sides failing to score in the first half, it looked like Forest may have opened the scoring in the second. Really poor positioning from Jan Paul van Hecke allowed Gibbs-White to get in behind; Kinsky did enough to at least deflect Gibbs-White's shot, but Sandro Tonali whiffed on a clearance before Williams appeared to bundle the ball into the net by way of a diving header. It was a calamitous concession by Spurs, but one that did not stand for long, as replays showed the ball ended up in the net off Williams' arms with VAR overturning the goal.
A flurry of substitutions followed from both sides as both managers searched for a winner. Neither side was able to muster the quality to create anything to break the deadlock, however, and a late headed chance from substitute Dominic Solanke that went well over the crossbar was the final chance of a reasonably low-quality affair with the match finishing 0-0.

MUMBAI: Former India captain Diana Edulji feels it's time to appoint vice-captain and superstar batter Smriti Mandhana as captain of the Indian women's team "in all three formats of the game."

Mandhana became the leading run-getter in women's internationals, en route to her hundred (124) in the Women's Asia Cup 2026 on Thursday against Hong Kong in Dubai. She broke former Indian women's captain Mithali Raj's record of 10,868 runs. Mandhana also broke the record for most centuries (18) in international cricket, the most by any batter in the women's game, surpassing Meg Lanning and Laura Wolvaardt, who have 17 apiece. Mandhana has two hundreds in T20Is, two in Tests and 14 in ODIs. The elegant left-hander has 93 fifty-plus scores across formats in international cricket, the joint-most by any batter, alongside Raj.

It was also Mandhana's second T20I hundred, thus making the 30-year-old the first Indian woman to score multiple centuries in the shortest format of the game.

"I congratulate Smriti Mandhana on becoming the leading run-getter in women's internationals. I feel that it's high time that the national women's selection committee, led by Amita Sharma, appoints Smriti as the new captain in all three formats of the game. Harmanpreet Kaur can continue to play as a senior player in the side," Edulji said while talking to TOI.

Explaining the reasoning behind seeking a transition in captaincy, Edulji said, "All I'm saying is that Harman is already in her late 30s (37). When would you want her to give up the captaincy and give it to Smriti, who has just entered her 30s (30). I don't want Harman to be dropped from the Indian team. I've no ill-feeling towards her. She's still a great player, but I think Harman should be relieved of the captaincy pressure, and left to just concentrate on her batting, because runs aren't coming off her bat. Harman's form is crucial for our team to win more championships. This move will increase her time span in the India XI. It's very important that someone scores runs in the middle order, because we can't keep depending on our openers all the time. So, I think that this is the right time for Smriti to take over the India captaincy. Her confidence and skill level are high right now. And let Smriti take it forward from here, so that she has a long run (as a captain) then. At least give her white-ball captaincy for now, and maybe Harman can continue as a Test captain."

"After a few years, Smriti will be in her late 30s; then what do we do? Whom do we train after that (for India captaincy)? Right now, we can have Jemimah (Rodrigues) or Shafali (Varma) as the vice-captain, and train them (for the bigger responsibility)," Edulji said.

"Well deserved, Smriti! I've watched you grow from a young player into one of the finest batters India has produced. To see you go past my record and become the highest run-scorer in international cricket is a moment I'm genuinely proud of. Here's to many more runs and milestone

The Justice Department has spent years attempting to break up Google's gargantuan advertising business across two separate antitrust lawsuits: one filed in 2020 focused on Google's dominance in search, and a second filed in 2023 that specifically targeted Google's ad-technology business. Both cases argued that the search giant's grip on the digital ad economy represents an illegal monopoly.
Courts have largely sided with the government in both cases. In 2024, a court determined that Google's search business, including its exceedingly lucrative search-ad operation, was an illegal monopoly, claiming that the tech giant had "exercised its monopoly power" to dominate the search industry and search ads. Last April, a second court case — this one focused specifically on Google's ad-tech business — also came to the same conclusion.
Following the 2024 ruling, Justice Department officials suggested a variety of ways Google's search business could be broken up, including divesting its Chrome browser and Android operating system. But in September 2025, the judge overseeing that case, Amit Mehta, rejected those divestiture requests, ruling that Google could keep both Chrome and Android. He did order the company to end exclusive default-placement deals and share certain search data with competitors (remedies that Google is currently appealing).
That same pattern held this week. In a ruling handed down on Wednesday, federal judge Leonie M. Brinkema of the Eastern District of Virginia, who oversaw the ad-tech case, said that Google would be able to keep its advertising business. Instead of selling it, the search giant will instead be required to adjust its business practices to favor competitors, Brinkema said. The New York Times notes that the judge's ruling "did not provide specifics" as to how Google should go about doing that.
Brinkema's full written ruling will remain under seal for 14 days to allow those involved to issue necessary redactions. Her finding that Google had acted illegally in maintaining its ad-tech business dates back to April of last year; this week's decision addressed only the remedy.

Fabio Wardley has leapt to the defence of coach Ben Davison after teammate Moses Itauma failed in his bid to become the second-youngest ever world heavyweight champion on Saturday.
Itauma punched himself out after a dominant eight rounds against Filip Hrgovic at London's O2 Arena, appearing visibly exhausted against the Croatian in the ninth before his corner threw in the towel.
The 21-year-old had admitted pre-fight that he had never gone 12 rounds in sparring, which after the result ignited a torrent of backlash towards his gym as questions were raised about his preparations.
Wardley, who is also trained by Davison, lost his first fight to Daniel Dubois in similar fashion, gassing late on after dominating the early stages, and will now rematch "Dynamite" looking to regain his WBO ***** le on 17 October.
But when speaking about the criticism his trainer has received, Wardley dismissed the noise as "delusional" and said he is ready to prove the gym's worth by delivering greatness.

On August 12, Royalty Pharma (NASDAQ:RPRX) agreed to pay Zealand Pharma $100 million for the rights to future royalties on rusfertide, an experimental treatment for a rare blood disorder called polycythemia vera. It is Royalty Pharma's second collaboration with Zealand, and it arrives just as rusfertide awaits a decision from the FDA. For a company that makes its living buying pieces of other companies' drugs, the timing says a lot about how it weighs risk against reward before a regulatory verdict even lands.
Royalty Pharma's business depends on picking the right moment to buy into a drug's future, and this deal fits that pattern. Under the agreement, $50 million changes hands at closing and the remaining $50 million arrives on the first anniversary, in exchange for a 1% royalty on rusfertide's global sales plus any regulatory and commercial milestones. Rusfertide, a once-weekly self-injected therapy that mimics the hormone hepcidin to control iron levels in polycythemia vera patients, already has an FDA goal date set for the third quarter of 2026, with Takeda lined up to handle commercialization worldwide. That is a near-term catalyst most royalty purchases do not carry.
The broader portfolio backs up the confidence. Royalty Receipts grew 14% to $768 million in the second quarter of 2026, lifted by Tremfya, Voranigo, Imdelltra and Evrysdi, and the company raised its full-year 2026 guidance for Portfolio Receipts to a range of $3.4 billion to $3.5 billion, the second increase this year. Capital deployment has already topped $1 billion in 2026, including a July 2026 royalty purchase tied to AstraZeneca's cliramitug, pushing the development-stage pipeline to 19 potential therapies. Even after repaying a $380 million term loan in July 2026, Royalty Pharma still paid a quarterly dividend of $0.235 per share and bought back $45 million of stock in the second quarter alone.
Not every royalty ages well, and Royalty Pharma's own numbers show it. Promacta royalties fell 75% in the second quarter of 2026 to just $8 million as US generic competition took hold, and Imbruvica payments slipped 16% to $36 million, a reminder that patent cliffs eventually catch up to even the steadiest cash flows. That same risk sits underneath every new deal the company signs, including the one with Zealand.
The rusfertide agreement carries its own strings. Royalty Pharma's 1% royalty stops scaling once global sales pass $1.5 billion, at which point Zealand keeps a 0.25% cut and Royalty Pharma only 0.75%, so the largest commercial outcomes get split rather than fully captured. And rusfertide still has not cleared the FDA. The agency's goal date only falls in the third quarter of 2026, meaning the second $50 million payment is committed before regulators finish their review. Layer that onto a balance sheet carrying $9.2 billion in total debt principal against $812 million of cash as of June 30, 2026, and it becomes clear this is a company funding new bets with borrowed as w

After an acclaimed All Out pay-per-view, AEW Dynamite returned on Wednesday, Sept. 2 with the fallout from the show in Allen, Texas. From Will Ospreay winning the AEW World Championship to Austin Creed and Kofi making their AEW debuts, it was a night to remember, and that's not even including the other ****** le changes that took place.
While this episode of Dynamite featured plenty of fallout, it also marked the beginning of the build toward the next pay-per-view, with two ****** le matches being made official for the Sept. 26 card. What would be added to the show?
All this and more transpired on this episode of Dynamite:
A recap video of All In plays.
Justin Roberts introduces the new AEW World Champion, Will Ospreay, who comes to the ring. Ospreay says he's "been on a bender" since Sunday celebrating his win. He says All In was amazing, thanks everyone who has been with him on his journey from the beginning and thanks everyone else for their support.

Ospreay says Kenny Omega has been the best wrestler in the world for the last 10 years and still is. Ospreay says Omega is better than him 364 days of the year, except for that one day. Ospreay says they're now tied at 2-2 as the crowd chants for one more match. He says he's satisfied with that record, but if Omega isn't, he can name a time and place to settle the score.

Ospreay starts naming past AEW World Champions, some of whom he says were his heroes. He says the reality is that he's now among all of them, and all of his idols are his rivals.

Ospreay questions his confidence but realizes he's now the standard in AEW.

Ospreay shouts out the United Empire and thanks them for helping him succeed. He says while there's a United Empire in ****** an, he's going to bring the United Empire to AEW.

As Ospreay readies to leave, Ricochet, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun interrupt. Ricochet says Ospreay knows they have unfinished business and that they're forever intertwined. He also congratulates Ospreay and Omega on their match.

Ricochet understands the fans don't give him credit, but says Ospreay knows him better than they do. Ricochet says Ospreay would not have been in the All In main event without him, and he demands the first shot at the ****** le.

Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors interrupt, and Kidd says Ospreay took away his chances to become the first British IWGP Heavyweight Champion and AEW World Champion. Ricochet and Kidd trade words until they align and head to the ring to target Ospreay, but United Empire runs down to make the save. Ospreay says they can meet in the main event in a tag team match.

As school begins this week, Amityville High School abruptly canceled its varsity football season on Monday, citing preseason injuries.
Sean Kreuder is a former Amityville "Tide" football player who graduated in 2025. He, like many, was surprised to hear that the Tide's varsity team was canceling this season.
"I was a little disappointed and shocked, because it wasn't that long ago that I was playing," Kreuder said. "I feel bad they are not going to have a senior season, especially after practicing all summer."
The school superintendent, Gina Talbert, sent a letter to the community saying the choice was made with heavy hearts and that the decision centers entirely on student-athlete safety and the long-term health of the program.
It stated in part, "Taking into account numerous player injuries on the varsity level, the program has made the decision to pause varsity competition for the upcoming season and focus all resources on a junior varsity schedule."

New Canaan girls soccer forward and All-American Clare Greisen is out for the season, New Canaan coach Rich Hickson confirmed Tuesday.
The news was first reported by the New England Soccer Journal, which stated that Greisen "was shut down for the fall season in late August because of an injury." Hickson didn't disclose the nature of the injury, but did say it was not ACL-related.
Greisen is not the only future Division I player and 2025 GametimeCT First Team All-State selection out for this season.
Amity striker Maggie Kershnar suffered an ACL injury and won't play this year, Amity coach Owen Quigley said. Kershnar is committed to play at UConn beginning in 2027.
Greisen, a two-time GametimeCT All-State First Team selection, was named an All-American last season. She has committed to play soccer at Northwestern University in the Big Ten Conference.

MUMBAI: When the Duleep Trophy semifinals began at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on Sunday, 19-time champions West Zone were conspicuous by their absence.

West crashed out after a 52-run defeat to North Zone in a low-scoring quarterfinal, with North posting 251 and 222, while West managed 187 and 234.

Former Mumbai first-class cricketer Amit Dani, who coached West Zone this season, believes the tournament's knockout format needs a rethink.

"I suggested to the BCCI that it should seriously consider not having knockout matches until the final in the Duleep Trophy. It's the first tournament of the season and players are often a bit rusty. Even if North Zone had been knocked out after just one game, it wouldn't have been fair on their players either," Dani told TOI.

Dani argued that the current format limits opportunities for players and selectors alike.

"The selectors wanted to watch Tanush Kotian, but they got to see him in only one match. It was a difficult wicket where the ball was gripping and turning, making batting tough. Players need more games. With the final scheduled only on Sept 6, there is room for one more league match," he said.

Despite the early exit, Dani found plenty of positives in West's campaign. He reserved special praise for Musheer Khan, whose 96 in the fourth innings was the highest score of the match.

"On that wicket, it was a top-quality knock. It wasn't easy to bat there, but Musheer showed superb temperament and skill," Dani said.

He felt Anshul Kamboj's brisk 60 in North's first innings and Ruturaj Gaikwad's run-out while batting on 66 in the chase proved decisive.

"For us, Musheer, Tanush and Tushar Deshpande stood out. Tushar bowled with real fire and intensity. I hope all three are considered for India A or the Rest of India squad for the Irani Cup," Dani added.

NEW YORK - Eight pitches in, Ethan Pecko appeared on the edge of calamity. Francisco Lindor crushed a full-count fastball into the second deck at Citi Field. Juan Soto sent a first-pitch curveball over the wall in left-center. Bo Bichette punched a single through the right side of the Houston Astros' infield.
Houston pitching coach Josh Miller hustled to the mound for a visit. AJ Blubaugh began to throw in the visitors' bullpen. Turning there so early might have torpedoed an already tenuous staff. Pecko, still, was making his third major-league start, and a series against the Mets hung in the balance Sunday.
Miller's message?
"To be honest, I don't even know," Pecko said afterward. "I was pretty comfortable with where I was at. Obviously, you don't want to give up two home runs back-to-back. But even the single, like, I knew the stuff was good. And I kind of just knew I could shake it off and keep going."
Instead of an early exit, Pecko engineered a recovery. The 24-year-old right-hander stabilized his outing enough to work five innings that kept the Astros position to stage a comeback, preserved their pitching structure and offered perhaps the most encouraging step yet in his big-league introduction.

After the disastrous defeat in Linz on Tuesday evening, we returned to Celtic Park to face Falkirk on domestic duty.
While the crowd was fully behind the manager and his players, the Celtic board were quite rightly taken to task by the Green Brigade who captured the overall feeling of the entire support, as they highlighted their anger at the Celtic Park hierarchy for another costly calamity in the Champions League.
Our crushing defeat to LASK wasn't only a major embarrassment after being four goals ahead, it also meant missing out on a potential £40 million payday, and the chance to once again compete with Europe's elite.

Missouri soccer showcased its most dominant performance of the 2026 season, flying past Northern Illinois in a 4-0 rout on Thursday, August 27 in Columbia. Junior midfielder Landis Canada led the way with her first collegiate brace, while Missouri's freshmen class continued to impress across the board.
The Tigers took the lead after 22 minutes of play, when junior midfielder Landis Canada drove the ball into the back of the net from point-blank range. The ball bounced around the box in the resulting calamity from a corner kick, and Canada finished it comfortably — finding her first goal of the season.
Freshman Lana Adams doubled the Tigers' lead in the 66th minute. She found her first collegiate goal by dancing around several Huskies defenders before rocketing the ball into the back of the net from 20 yards out. This broke the seal for the Tigers and allowed them to find their rhythm in front of the goal.
"It's mentality and execution," head coach Stefanie Golan said post-match. "I think that the women had the right mentality and they executed, and you know that's really what those opportunities come down to."
They continued this momentum when, just moments later, Canada found her second goal of the affair, knocking in a header from a corner kick in the 67th minute. The single-game brace matches her total goals in her collegiate career thus far.

Having not been seen on AEW programming for approaching two years, it appears that Britt Baker is eager to make her AEW return, potentially as soon as All In this weekend.
After posting a picture of herself at the beach on X, Britt responded to several fans, including one who hoped D.M.D. would be at Wembley Stadium for All In on Sunday. To that fan, the former AEW Women's Champion simply stated, "Same."
Same
Same
For Britt Baker, the last time she was on AEW TV was all the way back in November 2024, when she picked up a win over Penelope Ford on an episode of Dynamite. Following that match, Baker said "nobody cares" numerous times into the camera when confronted by Serena Deeb.

AEW Dynamite
At long last, All In week has arrived. It's the biggest show on AEW's calendar, akin to WWE's WrestleMania, and is set to return to Wembley Stadium for the first time since 2024.
Before that happens, the go-home episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday, Aug. 26. It featured the final build for All In, including the semifinal matches of the Continental Challenge Cup and final words from the talent involved in Sunday's top matches.
So, what transpired? Let's take a look:
Will Ospreay opens the show. He says he had doubts about coming back from neck surgery to win the AEW World Championship. He says that long before AEW and NJPW, he started as a wrestler in the United Kingdom and talks about grinding there to prove it's where the best wrestle. Ospreay names a number of British wrestling greats, including some who have passed away.

Ospreay says when you think of the best in the world, it's hard to look past Kenny Omega. He says Omega isn't here tonight, but wants him to know that no one respects him more. Ospreay says that respect disappeared after Omega mentioned his son last week.

Ospreay says that on Sunday, Omega will get the Billy Goat, and he'll give everyone the performance of a lifetime.

Ospreay says it's time to bring the AEW World Championship home, and Omega will help him show that heroes are extraordinary people who can do extraordinary things.

Catastrophe, capitulation, calamity.
All applicable, all too familiar, all can be levied at Celtic after their Champions League qualification blunder away to LASK.
A night that started full of hope and optimism as Celtic edged four goals clear on aggregate after 21 minutes ended in deep humiliation in a 5-4 aggregate defeat after extra time.
At the same stage last season, their disastrous loss to Kairat Almaty ultimately cast a long shadow over their season and was the nexus point for an overflow of negative fan sentiment towards the club.
Here's how Celtic's nightmare evening unfolded.

Bank of America employees will no longer be able to work from home for two consecutive business days, including Friday to Monday, the company told workers earlier this month. Spreading out remote days helps support employee collaboration and improves usage of real estate to prevent overcrowding, the bank said. Employees — except for client-facing workers who have already been in office five days a week — will still only be required to work three days in office.
The number of books on HR Dive's summer reading list for 2026. The team gathered a collection of recommended books that explore work and the workplace, including both fiction and nonfiction ******* les.
"America's workers are ready to adapt, but too many are being asked to do it without the time, resources or roadmap they need."

NEW DELHI: Rishabh Pant continued his remarkable rise through India's Test record books on Monday, surpassing captain Shubman Gill to become the country's highest run-scorer in ICC World Test Championship history. Pant was unbeaten on 63 at lunch on the second day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo as India reached 419/6.

Pant now has 2,948 runs from 42 Tests in the World Test Championship, moving ahead of Gill's 2,917 from the same number of matches. Rohit Sharma is third among Indian batters with 2,716 runs from 40 Tests, followed by Ravindra Jadeja (2,675 from 50) and Virat Kohli (2,617 from 46). Among current Indian players, Yashasvi Jaiswal is next with 2,588 runs from 30 Tests.

The latest milestone came during a crucial partnership with Dhruv Jurel, who also reached his half-century. The pair had added an unbeaten 112 runs for the seventh wicket by lunch, helping India build a commanding first-innings total after losing six wickets.
Pant's latest achievement came on the back of another significant milestone earlier in the innings. The wicketkeeper-batter also moved past MS Dhoni to become India's highest run-scorer as a designated wicketkeeper in away or neutral Tests.

Pant crossed 2,500 runs in the category, edging beyond Dhoni's 2,496. He has done so at an average of almost 42, compared with Dhoni's 32.84.

Farokh Engineer is third on the list with 1,209 runs at an average of 32.67, while Syed Kirmani has 1,109 at 21.74 and Kiran More 901 at 29.06.

Pant's latest landmarks have come despite an injury scare on the opening day. He had retired hurt after being struck on the left arm by a short delivery from Sri Lanka pacer Lahiru ***** ara, having scored only three runs.
Pant returned on Day 2 after Sri Lanka dismissed debutant Saransh Jain for six and immediately helped India regain control alongside Jurel. The pair negotiated Sri Lanka's pace attack and took India beyond 400 before the lunch interval.

The total of 419/6 is only the 11th time a team has posted 400 or more in the first innings of a Test at this venue. Six of the previous 10 instances resulted in victories, while four ended in draws.

The century partnership between Pant and Jurel is also only the second time India have registered a 100-plus stand for the seventh wicket or lower in a Test in Sri Lanka. The previous instance came at the same venue in 2015, when Cheteshwar Pujara and Amit Mishra added 104.
