President Trump's portfolio investments are back in the spotlight after his accounts bought as much as $500,000 in Boeing (NYSE: BA) stock on the same day the aerospace giant secured a major contract with the U.S. Navy — an overlap that could renew questions about potential conflicts of interest involving the president's investments and his administration's decisions.
Records filed with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics and released Aug. 22 show Trump's investment accounts purchased between $250,001 and $500,000 worth of Boeing shares on June 18.

The red-hot memory chip rally may be back on thanks to Nvidia (NVDA).
"So the price increases [on memory chips] are astronomical. In some cases, you have secured, we call it capacity, but you actually don't know how many you're getting, and at what price," Nvidia CFO Colette Kress told Yahoo Finance moments after the tech giant's earnings call on Thursday.
The memory chip market has tightened considerably as demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and advanced dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) used in AI servers continues to outpace supply.
Companies such as SK Hynix (SKHY), Samsung Electronics (005930.KS), and Micron (MU) have largely sold out their premium AI memory capacity through much of 2026 as customers, including Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon (AMZN), and Meta (META), race to build AI infrastructure.
The shortage has pushed memory prices sharply higher and given suppliers greater pricing power after several years of weak industry conditions. Experts expect memory supply to remain constrained into 2027, creating a favorable backdrop for the industry's largest producers.

Lady Marina Windsor is not your average royal — and she certainly does not dress like your average royal. As the great-great-granddaughter of King George V and Queen Mary of Teck, Marina is somewhat distantly related to Queen Elizabeth II. Marina's grandfather — Prince Edward, Duke of Kent — was the late queen's first cousin. This means that Elizabeth was Marina's first cousin twice removed.
While Marina's connection to royalty is undeniable, it's also not particularly strong. The late queen never considered Marina a member of her inner circle. The young aristocrat has never served the crown as a full-time working royal. What's more, Marina actually forfeited her place in the line of succession as a result of her dedication to Roman Catholicism — the religion of her Canadian-born mother.
The unusual combination of Marina's royal bloodline and her relative distance from the throne has given her a unique sartorial opportunity. While Marina does occasionally have to embrace some royal fashion rules, she also has the chance to push the bounds of what is considered acceptable clothing for women of her rank. By playing with bright colors, floral patterns, and more traditional cuts, Marina has developed a sense of style that defies all expectations. Rather than follow trends, the aristocrat has made a fashion category all of her own.

It would be easy to ****** ume that Caitlin Clark's recent play — ranking top three in both points and ****** ists per game — would place the Indiana Fever superstar toward the top of the WNBA MVP race, but the betting world captures why that is simply not the case.
Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson is still an overwhelming favorite at sportsbooks (-1200 odds at DraftKings) and prediction markets (88 percent at Kalshi) to capture her third straight MVP and record fifth overall. Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles is second at +800 and 8 percent, followed by Clark at 35-to-1 and 4 percent, then Clark's teammate Kelsey Mitchell at 40-to-1 and 1 percent.
We know voters take into account a candidate's relative value to their team, but how can that be actually quantified? The Athletic attempted this by asking betting experts to gauge each candidate's impact against the point spread, if their team were favored by five points on a neutral court before accounting for their absence.
"It's similar to the quarterbacks, and [their] point-spread adjustments are based on the [drop-off between them and the] backup. A lot of this is in relation to what's left remaining on the team," longtime Las Vegas oddsmaker and Circa Sports senior risk manager Jeff Sherman told The Athletic. "That's where Wilson stands out."
Wilson received the highest distinction from each expert interviewed but the value ranged from four to eight points. They also all agreed Wilson's defense separates her, hence why she also is the second favorite to win her fourth Defensive Player of the Year award (+160).

Dženan Pejčinovic could hardly have made a better first impression in Stuttgart.
Just weeks after completing a €25 million move from Wolfsburg, the striker marked his competitive debut with a hat-trick against Hansa Rostock in the DFB-Pokal.
After making an "absolute dream start" to life at the club, Pejčinović opened up on his Stuttgart move in this week's "Midweek Interviews" segment by the Bundesliga.
"If I can say what I actually wanted, then of course it was for us to go through. That was the big goal for me," the 21-year-old said, after the 2025 Pokal champions and 2026 finalists put four past third-tier side Rostock.
"But I approached it very cautiously and said that first of all I wanted to do the job and help the team win. Of course, if a goal came with it, that would be great for me.

Key Takeaways
XRP's strongest early payments argument was capital efficiency, not merely speed: institutions could source liquidity when a payment occurred, rather than keeping money pre-funded around the world.
That gap is narrowing fast. JPMorgan now offers eight-currency blockchain deposit accounts with onchain FX, while Citi says its 24/7 network can reduce pre-funding across more than 40 markets.
XRP still has a role in situations where bank networks are fragmented or local FX liquidity is poor, but it increasingly has to compete with tokenized deposits and stablecoins, including Ripple's own RLUSD.
For years, XRP had an obvious target in cross-border payments: banks could send a SWIFT message quickly, but actually moving and settling money remained slower and capital-intensive.

When Spirit Airlines collapsed into bankruptcy, the headlines focused on grounded planes and stranded passengers. But the most consequential part of Spirit's liquidation was invisible: the sale of its trade‑secret dataset; decades of operational intelligence, human decision‑making patterns, proprietary algorithms, and workflow histories sold to Google for just $10 million. The real value is at least 10x by any reasonable measure OTHER than what they sold for in a time of liquidation. I would argue that Spirit could and should have had those **** ets valued and kept a running tally long before bankruptcy and, in fact, as a matter of diligence.
Court filings show Google acquired more than 100 million internal emails, 500 million Teams messages, 7.5 billion de‑identified passenger records, 7.2 billion competitor pricing observations, and 30 million lines of code during the bankruptcy auction. These were not mere "data." They were (assuming they were actually owned by Spirit and protected properly) Spirit's trade secrets—the accumulated operational knowledge of a 17,000‑employee enterprise.
And Spirit was forced to let them go for pennies.
This should alarm every CEO, board member, investor, and lender. Spirit's failure wasn't the auction, though they should have been able to attract many more bidders than the two that participated. It was the years preceding it. From all appearances, the airline never formally inventoried its trade secrets, never valued them, may or may not ever have protected them with proper rigor, and never insured them. When the crisis came, Spirit had no idea what it owned or what it was worth.

You might have more in common with billionaires than you think.
"It's funny, talking about my personal finances, because no one ever believes anything I say," said YouTube creator Jimmy Donaldson, more well-known as MrBeast, to the Wall Street Journal earlier this year. "I have negative money right now, I'm borrowing money. That's how little money I have."
The YouTuber is worth approximately $2.6 billion; much of that comes from equity in his $5 billion company, Beast Industries.

Debt by any other name is still debt, and if you've ever been in any amount of it, you'll know that the one thing that is definitely not the solution is, well, even more debt. And yet, that seems to be the preferred strategy of modern governments: If more money is needed, then they can simply fund it with endless debt.
The level of arrears accrued by the powers of the world is almost incomprehensible at this point. According to the Institute of International Finance, total global debt, across sectors and types of lending, is over $350 trillion, equivalent to about 305% of global GDP. That's compared to 240% of GDP in 2005.

All good things have to come to an end. All things that aren't so great tend to also have an expiration date. So it is with great understanding and precious little passion that sports fans learned today that the NFL is eliminating the Pro Bowl Games.
Look, life is too darn short to be negative all of the time. But poll 10 people and at least nine will tell you they have had better things to do than check in on the Pro Bowl Games, a somewhat competitive replacement for the actual football game that had been held since 1938.
Still, it's the end of an era.
So often the phrase "addition by subtraction" gets trotted out in conversation. It's overused because it is hard, at scale, to take something away and have things be better. This is a rare case where the idea applies, though.
The NFL will still honor 88 Pro Bowlers with an announcement in late December. Gone is any need to scramble for replacements when scores of players pass on the opportunity to be part of the festivities. In lieu of watching these guys play patty cake on the gridiron or, uh, dodgeball, we'll get to focus on their accomplishments and debate who earned the honor and who was snubbed.

The Bridgewater ***** ociates founder wrote in an August 21 LinkedIn post that a $4 billion U.S. debt buyback, combined with rising bond yields, a weak dollar and a ***** anese sell-off of U.S. bond holdings all point to a potential government debt crisis, which can result in "the equivalent of an economic heart attack that comes when the constriction of debt-financed spending shuts down the normal flow of the economic circulatory system."

The sticker price on the world's most important chipmaker is high, but the multiple you are actually paying two years from now is another story entirely.
With its data center revenue growing 92% year-over-year, it is no surprise that NVIDIA (NVDA) commands a premium. The stock trades at about 30.7 times its last twelve months of earnings, a multiple that gives many investors pause. But that headline figure is not the price a patient holder is really paying.
The Discount That Time Delivers
Look two years out, and the picture changes completely. Based on the earnings **** ysts expect by fiscal year 2028, today's share price of about $208.48 is only about 16.2 times those future earnings. That is a 47% lower multiple than the trailing one, a discount that materializes as earnings grow into the price. A small part of this drop comes from comparing trailing adjusted earnings to forward consensus estimates, which are not defined identically, but the bulk of it reflects expected growth. For an investor with a multi-year horizon, you are effectively buying the business at that lower future multiple.
And NVIDIA is far from alone: which 10 S&P 500 stocks carry the biggest hidden forward discount? Our rankings sort the entire index by how little you are really paying for each name's growth once the out-year earnings land.

Noted golf architect Tom Fazio, whose courses have a weighty presence on various Golfweek's Best course rankings lists, has signed on for something new. He will join forces with CityGolf USA to design eight indoor golf courses, starting with a new Nashville facility that will open in the winter of 2026 and that combines simulator golf with real greens and surrounds built with artificial turf.
CityGolf USA will use simulators to take players from tee to green, at which point the simulator screen will be lifted to reveal a green complex with the artificial turf. If it all sounds familiar, it's similar to what the TGL indoor league has built at Palm Beach State College in Florida, where teams of top touring professionals such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy play televised matches.
The first CityGolf USA location will take up 174,000 square feet at City View Building 6 in Nashville. The business will include a high-end restaurant, a bar, event ******* es, driving range bays and a short-game practice area. Fazio will design the 18-hole course in concert with Fazio Design Technologies.
"A great golf course is always accompanied by a great environment," Fazio said in a media release announcing the partnership that was released Wednesday. "FDT and CityGolf USA are committed to providing a one-of-a-kind environment and entertainment venue that is unmatched. The ability to design and create unique golf courses for CityGolf USA has been seamless, and we look forward to people all over the United States having the opportunity to play them."
Gavin Fazio, Tom's son, is founder of Fazio Design Technologies and president of Fazio Design, the firm that focuses on actual course design.

Tesla's FSD reached 55% of Q2 North American deliveries and 1.5 million paid subscribers globally, embedding a software subscription business inside an automaker.

Everyone is focused on Tesla's vehicle deliveries. I think that misses the point. The number that could actually decide Tesla's (NASDAQ:TSLA) future is the Full Self-Driving attach rate, which reached 55% of Q2 North American deliveries with paid FSD customers hitting nearly 1.5 million globally. That is a software subscription business hiding inside an automaker.
Our 24/7 Wall St. price target for Tesla is $377.78, modest upside of 4.11% from $362.86. That is a hold, delivered with high (90%) confidence.

Khadijah Haqq says communication with estranged husband Bobby McCray has broken down at a particularly difficult point in their unresolved divorce.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Haqq claimed her text messages to the former NFL player stopped being delivered during the past two weeks. She said she confirmed that messages from their daughter and a mutual friend were still reaching McCray, leading her to believe he had specifically blocked her number.
Haqq argued that the problem goes beyond tension between the former couple because they share Christian, 15, Celine, 12, and Kapri, 5. She told the court that she needs a reliable way to contact McCray about their children, particularly if an emergency arises.
The allegation appears in a larger filing seeking child support, $2,033 per month in spousal support and $100,000 toward her legal fees. McCray has not yet responded in court to the blocking allegation, according to TMZ.
She told the court that continued communication is necessary "specifically regarding the children so I can keep him apprised, and notify him in case of an emergency." The filing does not indicate that a judge has made any finding about whether McCray actually blocked her or why her messages were not reaching him.

Following the announcement of Braelin Moore being honored as the representative for No. 18, LSU announced that Trey'Dez Green and Whit Weeks will both wear the No. 7 jersey. This is a great honor for both young men on this team.
The No. 18 represents a leader for the team, while the No. 7 represents an undeniable playmaker and mismatch whenever he is on the field. For the first time in the history of the tradition, LSU has announced two new players who will wear the number for the first time.
In 2024, LSU announced for the first time that the No. 7 honor would be represented on both offense and defense, with Will Campbell having received the honor the season before and Harold Perkins being issued the number for the first time. This year will mark the first time that the number has been issued to two new players who will both actually be able to wear No. 7 on the field. Campbell received the honor, but because he was an offensive lineman, he had to wear a No. 7 patch while keeping his traditional jersey number.
Whit Weeks is one of the best linebackers in the country, and when he is on the field, there is very little that he is unable to do. He is also a veteran entering his fourth season and has seen a lot of different offenses across the SEC.
Green is simply a nightmare matchup for defensive coordinators, and what makes him even harder to deal with is pairing him with a play caller like Charlie Weis Jr. The 6-foot-7, 240-pound tight end will not be used solely as a traditional tight end, and the versatility he can display in this offense will make him a difficult matchup for opposing teams to defend.

The Houston Astros enter Wednesday with a slim lead in the American League West, but with the Texas Rangers just a half-game back and the Seattle Mariners hanging around at 2 ½ out, there's still plenty to be decided.
With just 30 games remaining for the Astros, now would be the time to start comparing schedules between the three contenders, a definition they technically meet even if none of them entered the day with a winning record. Yet, considering the Astros just went 2-4 at home against the Angels and Athletics, the two worst teams in the American League, then won at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night, perhaps the opponent doesn't actually matter.
Still, neither the Astros or Ranger have much of a scheduling advantage over each other. The Rangers, who have 29 games left, have the 10th-hardest schedule remaining, with its remaining opponents combining for a .511 winning percentage. The Astros have the 13th-hardest schedule with a combined .506 winning percentage for their remaining opponents.
Where strength of schedule could come into play though is the Mariners. They have the easiest schedule left, especially in the final month, when 17 of their final 22 games are against the Angels, Athletics and Rockies, the three worst teams in baseball.
If the race comes down to the final week, the Astros play what could be a pivotal two-game series in Seattle before finishing with four games in Sacramento against the Athletics. The Mariners close with four home games against the Angels, while the Rangers finish with three at Minnesota, which is currently three games out of a wild-card spot.

In my mind, I had this game in the loss column even before first pitch.
The Rays offense looked half asleep yesterday against a lesser pitcher, and today they would be facing Troy Melton, he of the 1.86 ERA. Those of you with good memories will recall that Melton had pitched a gem against the Rays back in June, going eight innings and scattering a few hits. He's a pitcher, Brian Anderson reminded us, who is good across the game but actually gets better second and third time through the line up, so it's not like you can just wait until he tires out to get your offense going.
And for the Rays, Freddy Peralta had looked a little better in recent starts but you really had to squint to see the effective pitcher he'd been prior to this year.
So just based on the pitching matchup, this game had the worst win chances for the Rays of the series.
Of course, then, they won. Because you never know with baseball.

Frankie Muniz opened up about some serious heartbreak nearly two months after announcing his divorce from wife Paige Price.
The Malcolm in the Middle alum, 40, revealed that he was struggling in a cryptic post shared on X on Wednesday, August 26.
"Am I naive to say that I didn't know that having a broken heart actually meant your heart physically aches," Muniz wrote. "I'd rather break my back again."
The Big Fat Liar star was likely referring to a serious 2009 race car crash that left him with a broken back and multiple other broken bones.
While he didn't reveal what prompted the message, it comes less than two months after he and Price, 34, announced they were ending their marriage after nearly seven years following a private separation.
