An Israeli court has acquitted a Jewish man who attacked a nun in Jerusalem, in an incident caught on CCTV which drew widespread condemnation.
Jerusalem Magistrates Court said Yona Schreiber was experiencing a psychotic episode when he pushed over and kicked the French nun in the Old City in occupied East Jerusalem in April. It ruled that he was not criminally responsible for his actions and ordered him to be sent to a psychiatric hospital for up to six years.
Video of the attack caused outrage, and deepened concerns after a rise in harassment of Christian clergy and pilgrims by Jewish extremists in the Old City.
The victim, who hit her head on a stone block, suffered a bruised face and leg.
Schreiber, 36, had been charged with **** ault motivated by hostility towards a religious group.

We're just hours away from the Baltimore Ravens kicking off their preseason finale against the neighboring Washington Commanders at M&T Bank Stadium.
Some reserves are trying to make the roster. Others are trying to earn a larger role, settle a starting competition, or demonstrate that Baltimore can trust them when the regular season begins. The Commanders provide the final preseason test before those decisions become transactions.
These 15 players deserve attention if they are included in Baltimore's playing plan.
The question is whether ******* nano gives the Ravens enough reason to carry three quarterbacks. Watch how he handles pressure and whether he can keep the offense moving without taking unnecessary risks. A controlled finish would support the case he has already made.
The Michigan State rookie needs to show Baltimore he can handle more than carries. With Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, and Adam Randall occupying the projected roster spots, Tau-Tolliver's pass protection and special-teams work could determine whether he remains in the team's plans. Decisive running and ball security would strengthen his case for a practice squad opportunity.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and CBS NFL ***** yst Tony Romo "accepts full responsibility for his actions" in the July 23 incident that led to his arrest in Milwaukee and subsequent four citations, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
"Tony accepts full responsibility for his actions and has taken proactive steps to ensure that this isolated civil matter is properly resolved," the spokesperson said Aug. 27 in a statement to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and other news organizations. "We are working with local authorities to bring this matter to a close and we are communicating with CBS about next steps."
Earlier in the day, Romo received citations for first-offense operating while intoxicated, unsafe passing on the right side and possessing open intoxicants in his vehicle. He had previously been cited for refusing to take an intoxication test after his arrest.
Romo, a Burlington native, was arrested July 23 after a deputy pulled him over on southbound Interstate 43, and he performed poorly on a field sobriety test, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. He was in the area to participate in the Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf event in West Bend and told the deputy that he was on his way to a family member's house after the event concluded.
Following his arrest, CBS placed Romo on leave until further notice.

Caitlin Clark has faced more than her share of on-court altercations with both players and officials, which has led to even the league in general getting plenty of backlash. In a recent face-off against the Wings, Clark and Paige Bueckers had an exchange, which got mixed reactions from fans.
Bueckers tried to purposefully foul Clark, not just once but twice which did not catch the attention of the officials. After the second attempt, Clark could be seen pulling her arm back forcefully which led to Bueckers yelling at her, telling her to calm down.
While the exchange was considered pretty hilarious by many fans, others pointed out that Clark has been the victim of such exchanges throughout this campaign. Candace Parker discussed the situation in a recent 'Post Moves' episode, where she admitted that she would have acted the same way Bueckers did.
"The lip-reading experts are saying Paige told Caitlin to calm down. But here's the thing. I kinda blame the refs a little bit because if you don't hear a whistle, and obviously Paige was trying to foul… She's fouling, and then she fouls again, and I feel that a little bit. But at the same time, the refs didn't call the first one. I would've been like Paige too." Candace Parker said.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) looks to pass around Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd (35) and Dallas Wings guard Aziaha James (10) on Saturday, May 9, 2026, during the first half of the Fever's season opener game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

We've heard from CBS Sports president David Berson regarding Tony Romo's status with the network after the ex-Cowboys QB was placed on indefinite leave, as well as replacement (for now) J.J. Watt.
And while Romo himself hasn't said anything since the OWI arrest in July, we have now heard from his spokesperson with a statement to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel after three new citations: "Tony accepts full responsibility for his actions and has taken proactive steps to ensure that this isolated civil matter is properly resolved. We are working with local authorities to bring this matter to a close and we are communicating with CBS about next steps."
Per USA TODAY Sports, court records show the following charges: "Unsafe passing on the right, possessing open intoxicants and operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI). All three charges were filed on Thursday, Aug. 27."
No official word on that yet. He's on indefinite leave from the network.
That would be on Sept. 21.

Blackbird, one of the longest-running venture capital funds in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), has fully closed its sixth fund at a record A$1.05 billion (about $740 million).
The Sydney-based VC drew re-commitments from Australian sovereign and superannuation investors, including the Future Fund, Aware Super, HESTA and Hostplus. It also received cheques from new LPs from the US and Asia, including Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Adams Street Partners, and Schroders.
This is among the region's largest VC fund closes, as institutional LPs flock to large, established investors amid a flight to quality.
According to Blackbird general partner Samantha Wong, the venture firm has distributed $1.4 billion on a total of $2.1 billion invested across half a dozen transactions since its 2012 inception.
Most of these exits took place in the past few years, with secondaries playing a major role, she added.

J.P. Morgan Securities filed a motion Tuesday to hold Christopher J. Lee, a former advisor, in contempt of court for allegedly violating a temporary restraining order that barred him from soliciting clients on behalf of Morgan Stanley, his new employer.
The motion, which was filed in the Supreme Court in the State of New York, was followed on Wednesday by the judge's order to show cause for contempt, requiring Lee to appear in court on Sept. 23 to explain his actions.
In the contempt motion, J.P. Morgan claims Lee emailed JPM clients after the TRO was in place, sending them a "blatant sales pitch, numerous Morgan Stanley Smith Barney marketing materials, and promises to 'follow up.' These clients were never 'his' clients to take; they are JPMorgan clients whom Lee serviced and/or learned of only through his employment."
"The record demonstrates Mr. Lee brazenly disregarded the Court's order and continued to engage in solicitation of JPMorgan's clients. We trust the Court will see the facts similarly and dispense consequences accordingly," said Pablo Rodriguez, spokesperson for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Investor demand for commercial real estate surged this summer, driven by increased liquidity in the credit markets.
Competitiveness in investment sales transactions reached its highest point in more than a year, while competition from the credit markets is higher than JLL has ever recorded, according to quarterly bidding and credit indexes the company released this week. For July CRE transactions, JLL recorded the second-highest number of unique bidders in the last five years.
"Liquidity is back — and building," JLL CEO of Capital Markets Richard Bloxam said in a statement. "The exceptional strength we have seen in credit markets over the past year is now directly propelling transaction activity."
Lender confidence has spread into the equity market with buyers stepping up with clear intent on larger deals, Bloxam said.
That momentum was recorded in JLL's Global Bid Intensity Index and Global Credit Intensity Index. The former measures bidder activity on investment sales transactions and the difference between winning bids and asking prices. The latter tracks the number of lenders quoting on loans and the average winning loan-to-value ratio.

After a preseason showdown against the Cleveland Browns, the New England Patriots will begin cutting down their 90-man roster. The team needs to make 37 moves ahead of the NFL's deadline on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 6 p.m. ET. A majority of those personnel changes will come through the most straightforward roster reduction method: cutting players.
However, not all 37 transactions will be the same. The NFL has separate protocols for so-called vested veterans and players with less league experience. Veterans immediately enter the open market as free agents after being released, while the latter must pass through the waiver wire, where they can be claimed by another franchise or enter free agency if unclaimed.
What exactly does all of this mean for the Patriots and the NFL's other 31 teams, though? Let's break it down.
Franchises will make their final preparations before the season, with substantial changes being made to league rosters. Players will either be waived or released, but not all will instantly become free agents and be free to sign with any team.
When a player is "waived," they are subject to the waiver wire, where any team can claim them and ******* ume their current contract. Currently, the waiver wire order is dependent on the NFL Draft order from this past April, but without any trades.

Bayern Munich board member for Max Eberl has been a busy beaver the past few days, but his work is not done (in truth, it never is).
On good note, though, Eberl is having very positive interactions with the camp for star striker Harry Kane. As it stands, things seem to be progressing swimmingly with negotiations over a new contract.
"The contract negotiations, I have to be completely honest, have been incredibly harmonious, with both sides working together extremely well. We have a player who very much wants to stay and a club that very much wants to extend his contract. Of course, there are still details that need to be worked out. We have a very professional, yet pleasant, way of communicating with each other," Eberl told Sky Germany's Kerry Hau.
Kane, whose current contract ends after this season is expected to get at least a two-year extension, maybe three. Surely, that is one of the most important details being debated at the moment between the two side.
This is ridiculous:

In more than a month since former Cowboys quarterback and CBS broadcaster Tony Romo was arrested for suspicion of operating while intoxicated, Romo has said nothing.
He has finally spoken, albeit through a spokesperson.
Via TMZ, the spokesperson has said this: "Tony accepts full responsibility for his actions and has taken proactive steps to ensure that this isolated civil matter is properly resolved."
While it may be technically accurate under Wisconsin OWI laws to call a first offense a "civil matter," it didn't feel like one, look like one, or sound like one. He was pulled over. He was put through a field sobriety test. He was handcuffed, his mugshot was taken, he was booked.
More importantly for his employment status, he was placed on leave by CBS eight days later.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani repeatedly declined to distance himself from embattled New York City Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) co-chair Gustavo Gordillo, after being pressed on allegations that the DSA leader failed to pay thousands in rent on a Crown Heights apartment while his family spent a reported $1.4 million renovating the NYC townhouse where he lives—a contrast critics say is difficult to square with the anti-landlord, rent-abolitionist socialist housing agenda he helps champion.
Mamdani said Sunday that people working for a "more affordable life" and a "fairer life" for New Yorkers "should be welcomed into this work." When asked again Monday whether Gordillo should step down and whether he condemned allegations that Gordillo lied about his employment, the mayor said he welcomed anyone committed to making New York "a city that everyone can belong to." Meanwhile, asked directly whether he condemned Gordillo's alleged actions and lying, Mamdani ended the exchange: "Thank you very much."
Gordillo, an Ivy League graduate who as a NYC-DSA co-chair met weekly with Mamdani and his campaign manager as the group coordinated fundraising, field and communications efforts, later served on Mamdani's Economic Development & Workforce Development transition committee, according to public reporting.
He is named in a pending Brooklyn Housing Court case, in which a former landlord alleges Gordillo failed to pay $5,000 in rent on a $2,500-a-month Crown Heights apartment, while his family's townhouse was undergoing its $1.4 million in renovations, according to the New York Post. Gordillo's family reportedly bought the Bed-Stuy townhouse in 2019 for $935,000, while Gordillo's father has said it is for Gordillo and his brother to live in.

There's nothing better than knowing enough ball to nail a couple of fantasy football sleepers. Today's column looks at players currently drafted outside the top 100 overall picks on Yahoo who can and should be drafted in every single 10- and 12-team league. I'll eventually do a deep, deep sleepers column for the true sickos out there, but this is a list of players I'm actively targeting in every league.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
The Packers are my most-drafted team after nearly 200 drafts, and it's not even close. Christian Watson is a Round 5/6 WR target. Tucker Kraft is an option depending on the price. Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden are priorities. And MarShawn Lloyd (more on him below) has been one of the best clicks available for months.
It's rare when the fantasy landscape drafts all three WRs and the starting TE ahead of the starting QB, but that's what is happening with Love right now. Love needs more pass attempts to get home. That's it. Since 2022, Love is second in EPA per dropback, so efficiency or skill talent around him is not the issue. Well, this offseason, the coaching staff has prioritized playing with more tempo, and I watched them break the huddle and immediately snap the ball multiple times in preseason actions. I think it's happening.
I also think the Josh Jacobs news could incentivize the Packers to throw more, rather than being 25th in neutral pass rate and 32nd in neutral pace like they've been since 2022.

The Boston Celtics know exactly what they are doing with their offseason moves. Or at least that is the point of view of the folks behind the "Sly Kai" YouTube channel, who put together a clip taking a closer look at the highly controversial decision of Celtics President of Basketball Operations President of Basketball Operations to trade star forward Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this summer as well as other moves made by the front office,
From the signings of vets Mike Conley and Mitchell Robinson to the players that Stevens and company elected to take in the 2026 NBA Draft (Chris Cenac Jr. and Dillon Mitchell), the clip argues that Boston has a plan in mind for all these transactions.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about why these moves actually make sense, and what they expect to see from the roster next season.

TimesofIndia.com in Colombo: In his first press conference of the tour, Shubman Gill termed qualifying for the World Test Championship as the "ultimate goal," a sentiment he maintained while preparing to leave the country. In between his two media interactions, the Indian captain saw his team register a comprehensive win in Galle and then settle for a draw in a fixture they were well positioned to win in Colombo. Although the series was won, the trophy secured, and his undefeated run as captain checked off crucial boxes, India left behind crucial WTC points needed to boost their win percentage.
As captain, he had his most challenging few days under the sun in Colombo when Sonal Dinusha and the Sri Lanka's tail frustrated the visitors and prevented them from getting the result they desperately wanted. There were moments he would helplessly stand and observe from the short-cover position, have an intense chat with head coach Gautam Gambhir when nothing worked and then even egg his teammates on when their shoulders started dropping.
"It gets very frustrating," he said regarding the challenges, explaining the questions that follow. "Was follow-on the best decision, was it not? But then you have to go back in the moment and see, what can I do? Did I make the best decision in that moment? Yes, I did. Then you can't do anything about it. You have to keep trying your best, and I think we did that," added the Indian captain.
While they struggled to remove the Sri Lankan tail in both innings, Gill was not ready to pin the blame on any of his teammates and lauded their effort.
"We tried all that we could, and at the end of the day, even from the players, you can expect them giving their 100%, their top efforts, and I don't think there was any lacking in intensity or the efforts that we put in," said Gill.
Highlighting the volume of overs the spinners bowled on a surface which became easier to bat as the game progressed, Gill gave them 10/10 for effort and intent, and continued to focus on the ultimate goal - the World Test Championship.
"The spinners bowled 50-60 overs on the trot for three days. Fielding for three days is not an easy task in these conditions with the heat. In terms of effort, I would say 10 out of 10 for the effort and the intent. A lot of learning, so many things won't always go as you plan, but as long as we still have a chance to qualify for the World Test Championship," added Gill.
India operated with in-out field positions for most of the match, offering significant protection against the sweep, especially when Sonal Dinusha was at the crease. While it did open up easy singles, Gill felt there couldn't have been a better plan as the slow turn off the surface meant bowled and LBW were the dismissals out of the equation.
"The ball was spinning but the wickets were not in play. As a batsman, if you know that your bowlers do not have 2 modes of dismissal in play, then it becomes easier to bat. Unless you are play

As NFL teams begin to make their final roster cuts ahead of the August 30 deadline, Pittsburgh Steelers star cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has been named a potential trade candidate to watch.
CBS Sports' Bryan DeArdo recently compiled a list of 10 players who could be traded ahead of NFL cutdown day, with Porter serving as one of the biggest names featured.
"Porter has been present during Steelers' practices, but he has yet to take the field as he is hoping to land a new contract," DeArdo wrote. "Coach Mike McCarthy said this week that the team is at an 'impasse' with Porter, who is also on the team's physically unable to perform list after aggravating his back during the team's mobility test on the first day of training camp.
"For whatever reason, the Steelers don't appear to be willing to give Porter the contract that he is hoping for. And while it doesn't appear that the Steelers would trade him, Pittsburgh general manager Omar Kahn has made several surprising player transactions in the past. Khan could do so now with Porter if a team is willing to give the Steelers some considerable capital in exchange for one of the NFL's top young cornerbacks."
Porter has sat out training camp while on the physically unable to perform list after aggravating his back, but the young cornerback potentially wouldn't have participated much given his contract situation.

Langdon Partners' Q2 2026 investor letter for the Langdon Global Smaller Companies Strategy revealed a 9.4% return, lagging behind the MSCI World Small Cap Net Index's 17.0% gain, with a year-to-date return of -10.7% versus the index's 35.3%. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. Despite the improvement, the seven-percentage point lag behind the benchmark is considered disappointing, and year-to-date performance is still below long-term expectations. The market sends signals through share prices, where rising prices indicate improvement and falling prices suggest decline. However, blindly following these signals can be misleading. The portfolio's performance reflected this, with technology lagging and consumer discretionary stocks performing well. The quarter emphasized that market expectations can shift quickly, demanding careful ***** sment of a business's long-term earning potential. Also, check the fund's top five holdings to see its best picks in 2026.

Langdon Global Smaller Companies Strategy stated the following regarding Miami International Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:MIAX) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"We initiated a position in Miami International Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:MIAX) during the second quarter. MIAX operates electronic exchanges across several areas of the U.S. financial markets. Exchange businesses can possess attractive characteristics, including transaction-based revenue, operating leverage and network effects that may strengthen as liquidity and participation grow. Our interest in MIAX rests on the combination of its existing position in U.S. listed options, its proprietary technology infrastructure and its ability to introduce new products across a broader derivatives platform.
The company has continued to gain share in certain markets while investing in new products and partnerships. Because much of its technology and operating infrastructure is already in place, higher trading volumes may support attractive incremental margins over time. That potential is meaningful but not ***** ured. Exchange operators face substantial competitive, regulatory and execution risks. On August 13, StoneCo (NASDAQ:STNE) walked investors through a quarter that captures the central tension in its story right now: a credit business scaling faster than almost anyone expected, and a loan book showing real cracks under Brazil's stubbornly high interest rates. Revenue reached BRL 3.6 billion, up 2.5% year over year, but the more telling number sat inside the credit line, where the portfolio more than doubled to BRL 3.8 billion. That growth is exactly what management wants. What it costs is the story underneath.
StoneCo's credit portfolio doubling to BRL 3.8 billion year over year is the headline, but the composition matters just as much. Working capital solutions drove most of that expansion, and credit revenues jumped 153% to BRL 348.5 million as the book scaled and average rates rose. The company also began disbursing government-backed loans this quarter, which already total BRL 334.2 million. These carry lower risk and lower pricing because a government guarantee absorbs part of the loss on default, letting StoneCo price more aggressively for clients it once passed on.
Banking is building alongside credit. Retail deposits climbed 22.3% to BRL 10.8 billion, and that growth pushed funding costs down to roughly 85% of CDI, a direct benefit to margins. PIX QR code volume rose 44.3% to BRL 30.7 billion, outpacing card volumes and signaling where merchant transactions are headed. Meanwhile, the integration of Pagar.me into the core Stone platform folds online and physical sales into a single merchant account, the foundation for the company's new positioning as a bank for entrepreneurs rather than just a payments processor. On the shareholder side, BRL 3.0 billion in buybacks over the past year cut the share count by 40.3 million shares, which is why adjusted basic EPS rose 8.6% to BRL 2.40 even as net income slipped.
The credit expansion is not without cost. Cost of risk climbed to 21.5% from 20.2% a year earlier, and non-performing loans over 90 days nearly doubled to 8.60% from 4.67%, as loan vintages from late 2025 and early 2026 rolled forward into delinquency. Coverage fell to 203.6% from 279.9%, reflecting both a shift toward better-rated and government-backed loans and the mechanical lag between rising NPLs and write-offs.
The pain is concentrated at the high end. On the dedicated desk that serves larger clients, some defaults have come in above BRL 10 million, including an BRL 11 million default from a long-standing client that filed for bankruptcy protection and caught the company off guard. Management also flagged that a liquidated card issuer could require additional provisioning depending on how a pending litigation matter resolves.

On August 13, Nektar Therapeutics (NASDAQ:NKTR) held its second-quarter earnings call and laid out where its lead drug candidate stands after years of development. Rezpegaldesleukin, known as rezpeg, is now enrolling patients in Phase 3 trials for two separate autoimmune conditions, atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata. Management framed the quarter around two numbers that matter most to investors right now: a $1.02 billion cash balance that provides a runway into 2028, and a drug program that finally has late-stage data on the calendar.
Nektar's Phase 3 program for atopic dermatitis, called ZENITH AD, began randomizing patients in July 2026 across two pivotal studies, each enrolling 510 adolescent and adult patients. A third study in patients who have already tried other treatments is set to start by the end of September 2026. Management expects top-line data from the first studies in mid-2028, with a Biologics License Application submission to follow in 2029 if results hold up. After an end-of-Phase 2 meeting with the FDA, Nektar also finalized a single registrational Phase 3 study for alopecia areata, called ZENITH AA, which will enroll 850 patients and use a SALT score of 20 or less at week 52, meaning 80% or more scalp hair coverage, as its primary endpoint.
The case for rezpeg goes beyond trial design. CEO Howard Robin noted that roughly 15 million people in the U.S. have moderate to severe atopic dermatitis, and fewer than 10% currently get a systemic therapy, leaving room for the market itself to grow. He also pointed out that about half of patients on IL-13 drugs such as Dupixent either stop responding or never respond at all. In alopecia areata, where JAK inhibitors carry boxed warnings that keep many dermatologists away, the market for approved treatments is still projected to reach $5 billion by 2033. Nektar's own market research found that 150 of 151 physicians surveyed preferred rezpeg's short-lived injection site reactions over the longer-lasting conjunctivitis tied to current options, a result management used to argue rezpeg could compete across first, second, and third-line patients.
None of this comes cheap. Nektar's operating loss widened to $42.3 million in the second quarter, up from $36.2 million a year earlier, and the net loss came in at $40.6 million, or $1.23 per share. Research and development spending is set to climb further, with full-year guidance now at $210 million to $230 million as the Phase 3 programs and manufacturing activities ramp up. The company's only revenue right now is $10.1 million in noncash royalty income, down from $11.2 million a year ago, and full-year revenue guidance tops out at $45 million. That gap between spending and revenue is why Nektar leaned on a public stock offering that raised $373.8 million in gross proceeds in April 2026, a move that keeps the lights on but also dilutes existing shareholders.

Jax Taylor has accused his ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright, of trying to hurt his work opportunities. The claim, shared by the reality star, was linked to a message about an event for children with autism. Jax said he has tried to keep their issues private for nearly a year. Now he claims that he is compelled to speak out about it publicly.
Jax said he promoted an event for children with autism because he wanted to support the cause. The next day, he shared a screenshot of an alleged DM from Brittany to the event organizer. Brittany allegedly asked if Jax had any involvement and said she had information to share. Jax later deleted the screenshot.
In the caption that accompanied the screenshot, Jax criticized Brittany. "This is just another example of her contacting every company, brand or opportunity I get," he wrote. He accused her of trying to "sabotage" his ability to work and move forward. Jax also claimed he has lost "several jobs" because of similar situations.
His lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, also addressed the accusation in a statement to TMZ. "Why she feels she's entitled to sabotage his employment opportunities" remains "puzzling and hard to believe," Kaplan said. He also questioned how those actions could benefit their child.
Jax Taylor said he had been silent and trying to resolve the conflict on a private level. "I've stayed quiet for close to a year and tried handling things privately but it just doesn't stop," he wrote. He admitted that he has made mistakes and said he does not expect anyone to forget them. He only wants to work, support causes he cares about and move forward, he added.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle landed in the UK to reports of new neighbors branding them a "disgrace". The news comes as the Sussexes made their alleged return to Britain on Wednesday after six years away. However, the couple will continue as private citizens and will not be resuming official duties as working royals.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's move to the UK is already stirring up reactions among some of their potential new neighbours. According to several reports, the Duke and ***** ss of Sussex will put down roots in the beautiful Cotswolds. However, not everyone in the charming countryside community seems delighted at the idea of the royal pair moving in next door.
Several locals reportedly voiced their annoyance to the Daily Expresso after a reporter headed to the area to sound out reactions to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's UK return. Discussing it on the podcast on Wednesday, August 26, host JJ Anisiobi revealed that some residents were "already furious."
He said, "A woman in a coffee shop, who lives in the local area, says: 'They should be banned. They are a disgrace. I think Meghan is an awful, dreadful woman. It can't be easy being in the royal family- they've got their faults as well, but they're two-faced in screaming about privacy.'"
Anisiobi shared that another local felt that the Duke had damaged his relationships beyond repair. A different resident voiced a separate worry about how the Sussexes' presence might affect the area's well-known tranquillity.

Tim Curry's interesting connection to the late Princess Diana has re-emerged after his death. The British actor tragically passed away on August 25, aged 80. Curry was best known for portraying Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The legendary British actor once reportedly confessed that Diana had revealed to him that she was a fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Tim Curry had reportedly previously admitted that the late Princess Diana was a fan of his work. During a past interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Curry shared how he met Diana and her then-husband, Prince Charles, after a show he'd performed in at the Royal National Theatre. As per the late actor, Charles didn't know much about his career, for he asked if he had been on television. However, the late Princess of Wales had no trouble recognizing Curry.
The Charlie's Angels star confessed he was surprised that Diana was familiar with his work. He asked her: "I don't suppose you saw it." The late Princess showed off her wit and quick sense of humor, stating: "Of course I did. It quite completed my education." The resurfaced story also prompted reactions from fans, with one commenter joking that the anecdote "should've made an appearance in The Crown." Another praised Diana as "a real one."
Interestingly, this isn't the first time the Annie star dished about his encounter with Princess Diana. He previously revealed to Fresh Air radio that Diana had requested to meet him after he performed in a production of Love For Love in Vienna. Notably, Charles and Diana were guests of honor at the production. Curry lavished praise on the late Princess, stating: "She was a very funny girl, and a very beautiful one. And sort of the – a very wicked smile came with that sentence. She was great fun."

The preseason finale for the Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers is here, and both teams have made headlines for drastically different things.
The Raiders secured the No. 1 overall pick and drafted quarterback Fernando Mendoza. In limited action, the rookie has at times looked the part, and also has shown there's still a ways to go. That much is evident and has led the Raiders to decide they'll give the QB1 job to Kirk Cousins until Mendoza is ready to go.
When Mendoza is ready to go, however, is anyone's guess. The Raiders are determined to slow-play it with their passer of the future, leading to questions of when the passer will make his Sunday debut this season.
The 49ers have eyes on a Lombardi Trophy once again, but they've had to navigate some off-the-field distractions throughout training camp, an inauspicious start to their season. First, it was Kyle Shanahan's car accident and the questions that persisted. In the month that followed, principal owner Jed York was arrested.
In between, the 49ers lost wide receiver Ricky Pearsall to a knee injury, Mike Evans dealt with ****** ps and bruises and substation conspiracy theories resurfaced.

Real Madrid put Real Sociedad away 4-1 in their first match at the Bernabeu this season. A hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe, along with a goal from Vinicius Junior, made sure that Jose Mourinho's return to the stadium was not spoiled.
This is not meant to be a diss.
One of Dean Huijsen's biggest criticisms from last season was his tendency to always find a spectacular pass. He was always diabolically vertical with his passes, regardless of whether they made any sense. He looked to always be positive with his actions — sometimes too positive, and that hurt Real Madrid on many occasions.
Things would be going well, and the team would be in a position where they needed to keep the ball. Instead of playing the easy pass, Huijsen would always try to find an attacker who was never expecting a pass in the first place.
Against Real Sociedad, and also against Espanyol, things looked more 'boring' and standard and less chaotic with Huijsen. The Spanish International had a 96% pass completion rate on 72 attempts, as he played a lot of sideways passes to Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konate.

This is not meant to be a diss.

Last week, Good Good Golf released an ad spot for its co-branded Callaway driver. In it, Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark tackles a woman who dared reach for his driver, stands over her, and says, "Do not touch my new driver."
After swift and intense backlash, the ad was deleted, but not before several people preserved it on the internet.
"We posted a video to our channels that ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand," Good Good Golf, a YouTube phenomenon-turned brand, said in an official statement posted Saturday. "We have since taken that content down, and sincerely apologize. Good Good has always stood for making the game of golf more inclusive to all, and we will continue to ensure that is our mission moving forward."
Callaway Golf CEO Chip Brewer and Good Good CEO Matt Kendrick also released separate statements, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Those statements did not stop the avalanche. PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp condemned the ad and Good Good's "disappointing" and "defensive" response. Golf Channel postponed the premiere of its Big Break x Good Good reality show. ****** 's Sporting Goods and Galaxy Golf reportedly pulled Good Good merchandise from stores.

FC Barcelona star Gavi, who is recovering from a minor injury after playing 45 minutes in a 5-0 win over Elche, has sent a message of support to a child who was hurt by a police officer prior to the start of the game.
A video showed several fans being hit by police using batons outside the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero after pro-Catalan independence flags, known as Esteladas, were confiscated on Sunday.
Yesterday, a photo published by the Penya Barcelonista de Sant Antoni, a Barcelona fan group, appeared to show the youngster smiling with a bandage on his head.
And today, Gavi left a comment which was simply four emojis: flexed bicep, flexed bicep, blue heart, red heart. The meaning was simple as well – sending strength and love to a fellow culé.
Club President Joan Laporta called the police actions "disproportionate and violent."
