ACCIONA Energía has finalised the sale of a 361MW portfolio of operational wind farms in Spain to Galp New Energies in a deal valued at €432m ($491.2m).
The transaction, which covered ***** ets with no financial debt, was signed and closed simultaneously, with all proceeds received at closing.
The portfolio comprises 15 wind farms in the provinces of Ciudad Real, Guadalajara, Navarra, Palencia, Seville and Zaragoza.
The wind ***** ets have an average operating age of 21 years, with an average commercial operation date of 2005.
They are expected to generate around 800GW-hours of electricity annually and currently operate on a merchant basis.

Perdue Farms and the Baltimore Ravens have launched a multi-year partnership that will bring Perdue products to Ravens facilities and game-day operations while supporting hunger-relief efforts across Maryland.
The companies announced the agreement July 20 at the Maryland Food Bank, according to a community announcement. As part of the kickoff, leaders from Perdue Farms and the Ravens donated nearly 43,000 pounds of chicken, equivalent to 35,600 meals, and volunteered with Maryland Food Bank staff.
Under the agreement, Perdue becomes the Official Chicken of the Baltimore Ravens beginning with the upcoming NFL season.

(NEXSTAR) – Yet another state has been linked to the multistate outbreak of the parasite-linked sickness cyclosporiasis as investigators seek to positively identify the cause.
While the Food and Drug Administration has confirmed that a positive test result linked to samples of Taylor Farms-branded shredded lettuce sourced from central Mexico was instead a false positive, the investigation remains focused on the produce.
"FDA's traceback investigation and outbreak data continue to converge on shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms locations in central Mexico," the FDA said Monday. The agency added that it "will continue to work with federal and state partners to investigate this multistate outbreak and ensure products implicated in this outbreak have been removed from the market."
Product samples are still being collected, but "there are no confirmed positive sample results" linked to the cyclospora outbreak, the FDA said.

Utah’s gymnastics team is back in the gym after starting off the summer a bit differently. The Red Rocks traveled as a team to Ghana for a cultural exchange.
The trip came together thanks to several groups, including the Who Rocks the House Collective, Redmond Farms and the University of Utah’s Center for Business, Health and Prosperity, along with its partner Ensign Global University in Ghana.
“They’re so busy year-round, competing, being student-athletes that we wanted to give them time to be young adults away from the U., away from the pressures…and to enjoy Ghana, to experience Ghana, to have cross-cultural learning,” said Jon Murphy, director of student experiences and student programs for the U.’s enter who also works in Ghana with the partners.
Murphy and the partners were able to develop an exchange that provided a variety of experiences for the team, ranging from public health seminars, visits to ecotourism sites, service projects with local students, dance and art exchanges and travel to rural communities.
“It’s about creating these experiences to learn from the world outside of being a University of Utah student-athlete, and to have partners that can see the value in that is, I mean, it’s unmeasurable. It’s incredible” said Utah head coach Carly Dockendorf.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue announced Monday that it has reached an agreement for the permanent closure of Ridglan Farms and the transfer of its 475 remaining beagles starting this week.
"Not one dog will remain," Lauree Simmons, the group's founder, said in a news conference at a farm in Wisconsin. "No more breeding, no more testing, no more anything."
The rescue group said some of the beagles will go to other rescue groups while others will be sent to its Florida and Alabama campuses where they will be spayed, neutered, and prepared for adoption.
The group bought roughly 1,500 of the farm's more than 2,000 beagles in April for an undisclosed price.

Accusations have surfaced this week about six-time major champion Phil Mickelson making inappropriate contact with a female employee at a private golf club he was a member at. In a statement from his attorney, Mickelson appears to be ready to fight the allegations against him.
His attorney, Tom Clare, told Golf Digest that there is video evidence that will exonerate Mickelson of any wrongdoing. "There is a great deal of misinformation circulating and, while Phil’s full attention is devoted to a private family health matter, he has retained defamation counsel and is determined to hold accountable any publication or individual trafficking in speculation or false rumors." According to the Golf Digest reporting, The Farms Golf Club claims that there is no camera footage of the incident.
The incident occurred at The Farms Golf Club, in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Mickelson is no longer a member of the golf club and was removed from the golf course on the day of the incident. According to Golf Digest, a female employee accused Mickelson of, "nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact" prior to a round. The incident was reported to supervisors and Mickelson was asked to leave the property in the middle of his round.
Anonymous sources were cited by Golf Digest about the unwanted contact with a female employee at the club. While not much has been divulged from the situation, a spokesperson for Mickelson did tell Golf Digest, “Any misunderstanding has been cleared up. Phil continues to attend to a family health matter and is uncertain when he will be able to return to professional golf.”

A coalition of seven blue states sued the Trump administration Tuesday after it paid a French company nearly $1 billion in taxpayer money to not build offshore wind farms.
The lawsuit, led by New York attorney general Letitia James, argued that the deal struck between TotalEnergies and the Trump administration earlier this year deprived their states of much-needed power, and could raise electricity costs in the New England and mid-Atlantic regions.
In March, the Trump administration announced it would pay French energy giant TotalEnergies $928 million in taxpayer funds to reimburse the company for leases it had purchased under the Biden administration, allowing it to develop two offshore wind farms in waters near New York and North Carolina. The vast majority of that — $795 million — would have gone towards developing the New York project.
In exchange, TotalEnergies would spend that reimbursed money on the development of a new liquified natural gas plant in Texas, helping export US LNG overseas to Europe, CEO Patrick Pouyanné said in a statement at the time.
In April, the administration announced it would spend another nearly $900 million to repay two more wind energy developers to not build projects in New York and California (the April deal is not part of the current lawsuit).
