The 2025 Kentucky Wildcats football team struggled to create explosive plays on offense, especially at wide receiver. However, Kendrick Law was an exception. He showed off his speed and athleticism multiple times, an it got him drafted by the Detroit Lions in this year's NFL draft.
Unfortunately, Law's NFL debut is going to have to wait. On Thursday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell told reporters that Law tore his ACL at practice. That will almost certainly end his rookie season before it had a chance to begin.
Law began his college career with the Alabama Crimson Tide as a top 100 recruit. He spent three seasons there, but wasn't able to break out, and transferred to Kentucky prior to his senior season. In his lone season in Lexington, he finally showed what he could do, recording 53 receptions, 540 yards, and 3 touchdowns.
The Lions selected Law with the 168th overall pick, a fifth rounder, to play alongside Jameson Williams and Amon-Ra St. Brown. It was a good landing spot with room for him to earn some playing time. Now, he'll have to wait until 2027.
It's an unfortunate injury for any player, especially a rookie picked in the later rounds. We wish Law the best in his recovery, and hope to see him on the field in the future.

Canadian UFC fans will no longer have to buy pay-per-views to watched numbered events, starting in 2027.
This concept is nothing new to those in the United States, who have had numbered UFC events cooked into their Paramount+ subscriptions since the start of 2026. But for the past six months Canadians have still shelled out $80 a month to order the big events through UFC Fight Pass or cable providers.
That will change starting in January 2027.
“Beginning in 2027, Paramount+ subscribers in Canada will get every UFC Numbered Event main card live, at no additional cost,” UFC CEO Dana White said in a press release. “Paramount has been an incredible partner that understands the power of UFC, and together we’re going to make it easier than ever for fans in Canada to watch the biggest fights in the sport.”
“I love Canada and I’m very excited for the fans to be able to enjoy the Paramount experience.”

While Manchester City striker Haaland was second on $264 million (€227 million), third-place Real Madrid number 9 Kylian Mbappe has been valued at $193 million (€166 million).
Of these three players, it is worth noting that only Mbappe has been transferred for a significant fee.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Logan Webb of the San Francisco Giants hasn’t allowed a hit through six innings against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night.
The Giants led 1-0 on Victor Bericoto’s first career homer, which led off the fifth inning.
Webb has thrown 85 pitches and has struck out four batters while walking one. His highest pitch total of the season was 104, in a 9-3 victory over the San Diego Padres on March 31.
Webb didn't allow a baserunner until Sal Frelick led off the sixth by walking on a 3-2 pitch that missed high. Frelick advanced to third on a pair of groundouts before Christian Yelich hit a grounder to first to end the inning.
Brice Turang produced the greatest threat to Webb’s no-hit bid when he grounded to third to close the fourth. Matt Chapman went a few steps to his right to backhand the ball before throwing to first.

New York Giants‘ star wide receiver Malik Nabers had a run in with at least seven squad cars in the surrounding area. As a result of a torn ACL and a torn meniscus in his right knee, Nabers’ 2025 season was prematurely ended after only four games. Initially, he underwent surgery to repair the damage, followed by a “cleanup” procedure to remove excessive scar tissue that caused stiffness.
Nabers expects to be 100% healthy this season (even if he misses the start of the year) and wants to contribute in John Harbaugh’s new offense. However, it would seem the young star had an unfortunate run in with law enforcement on Tuesday.
Here are the details.
On Tuesday evening multiple reports started surfacing (including from verified Giants beat writers) that Malik Nabers was stopped by police. Per ESPN/NFL Nation reporter Jordan Raanan:
Malik Nabers was NOT arrested despite being stopped by police on Tuesday. My understanding through sources is that an individual was reported to have brandished a gun in a similar car.

The transfer market ahead of the new season is red-hot on the front pages of Spain and Italy’s leading sports newspapers. With the World Cup on the horizon, Europe’s biggest clubs are moving quickly to finalize their squads, producing major headlines on the newsstands.
The standout name of the day is Dutch right-back Denzel Dumfries, whose situation dominates the front pages of the Madrid and Italian papers alike, all pointing to an imminent arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu under José Mourinho.
Marca says "Dumfries and Konaté on the radar" for Los Blancos. It explains that in the Bernabéu offices, the Inter full-back is seen as the ideal addition and direct competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right flank.
La Gazzetta dello Sport runs the emphatic headline: "Dumfries da Mou" (Dumfries for Mou) and adds that there is a "right-sided shift at Inter" with the Dutchman’s move to Real Madrid. According to the Italian paper, the Spanish giants will pay the €20 million release clause to bring the player to the club.
Corriere dello Sport agrees with the main headline ("Dumfries da Mou") and adds a competitive angle in the Italian market: Inter are already looking for his replacement and have set their sights on Marco Palestra, Atalanta’s young talent, in a deal that could reach €50 million.

Blue Jays 3 Braves 4
That wasn’t Kevin Gausman’s best game. 6 innings, 5 hits, 4 earned, 2 walks, 8 strikeouts and a home run. Of course, when you get 18 outs and 8 of them are strikeouts, it seems like it should be a good game. But, he gave up 2 in the first (a walk, a double and a sac fly), 1 in the third (double and a single) and 1 in the sixth (a Matt Olson home run).
Our bullpen put up two scoreless innings.
On offense, we had 9 hits, with a Kazuma Okamoto two-run home run and a Vladimir Guerrero double. You would think we could have scored more than 3 runs.
We got two hits each from Nathan Lukes, Ernie Clement, Yohendrick Piñango and Okamoto. But then there were 0 fors from George Springer, Daulton Varsho, Andrés Giménez and Brandon Valenzuela. Being 0 for 6 with RISP is a recipe for a loss.

Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has shed light on a heartwarming gesture from legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. The Scotland international is gearing up for an eventful summer after helping his nation qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
McTominay rose through the ranks at Old Trafford and broke into the first team under former manager Jose Mourinho. Legend has it that Sir Alex personally recommended the player to the Portuguese, backing him for success at Old Trafford.
McTominay became a regular feature under Mourinho’s successor, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although he continued to divide opinion among fans. Erik ten Hag’s arrival at the Theatre of Dreams in 2022, however, proved to be a turning point in the Scot’s career.
The Dutchman opted to cash in on McTominay and signed Manuel Ugarte as his replacement in the summer of 2024. The 29 year old moved to Napoli and has successfully turned his career around.
In his first season in Serie A, McTominay helped Napoli win the league, finishing the campaign with 13 goals and six **** ists in 39 appearances. That earned him a nomination for the Ballon d’Or and a permanent place in the hearts of fans.
