Meghan Markle is reportedly preparing for a very different chapter as she returns to the U.K. She will be traveling alongside Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. According to reports, the family is relocating to Britain for an extended stay while maintaining their home in Montecito, California. The move marks Meghan's return to the country she left six years ago. However, insiders say she is now in a much stronger position, both personally and professionally.
Meghan Markle is expected to return to Britain this month, but not as a working royal. According to PEOPLE, she and Prince Harry will continue as private, non-working members of the royal family. King Charles will maintain this arrangement, which was established after the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
Sources close to the ****** ss of Sussex told the outlet that this return differs significantly from her previous experience in Britain. One ally said Meghan's support system is "stronger now than it ever was," adding that she now has her own team, career, and greater control over her personal and professional life. Another insider noted that Meghan has been open about the struggles she faced during her first years in the U.K. However, they emphasized that this history is not destined to repeat itself.
Despite the renewed confidence surrounding her move, concerns remain about the intense media attention awaiting her. A source close to Meghan admitted they are worried about the level of scrutiny she could face upon returning to Britain. Public support for both her and Prince Harry remains mixed across the country.
Professionally, Meghan also returns with several opportunities that did not exist during her royal years. PEOPLE reports that she is in discussions for a possible role in Guy Ritchie's Netflix series "The Gentlemen." While no deal has been finalized, the project could mark her first major acting role since leaving "Suits."

When I think of Dame Julie Andrews, fitness isn't the first thing that comes to mind.
Soaring through the sky attached to a brolly, skipping through the Alps singing, or more recently, narrating the scandals of the ton are all things I ******* ociate with the veteran actress.
But it turns out, we can learn a lot about exercise and longevity from the thespian, who turns 91 in October.

While Dame Julie recently disappointed fans when she revealed she won't be starring alongside Anne Hathaway in the reprise of The Princess Diaries, sharing she feels she is "past all that now,", she is far from taking it easy in later life, sharing two years ago that she has worked out first thing in the morning for her whole life.

The 27-year-old actress embraced the "naked dress" trend in a romantic ****** er yellow creation as she joined co-stars Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman and Maisie Williams at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on August 26.
Joey's custom Miu Miu gown was crafted from almost entirely sheer fabric, revealing a matching ****** er yellow bra and briefs underneath. Purdue volleyball serves up a new challenge this season – no longer sneaking up on teams but proving it can meet top 10 expectations in a more competitive ***** e.
Coach Dave Shondell, who is 68 and signed a four-year contract extension in the offseason, said the Big Ten is much better this season and pointed to three of the ninth-ranked Boilermakers' first four matches are against top-20 teams. He also will be challenged with blending young talent to a returning core and redefining leadership, pointing to 10 of his 17 players having not played for Purdue in a regular-season match.
It also will be part of the first-of-its-kind college volleyball event in the Bahamas, where it will face either No. 11 SMU or No. 3 Kentucky, take part in the Big Ten/SEC challenge and a Big Ten Tournament hosted in Fishers. Purdue returns its core leadership with outside hitter Kenna Wollard, opposite Grace Heaney, setter Taylor Anderson and libero Ryan McAleer.
"I think that my approach has been a little bit different in that I'm expecting a little bit more from our team every day in practice than I did a year ago, which is kind of a dangerous move because last year whatever we did seemed to work," Shondell told IndyStar.
Ahead of first serve against No. 13 Creighton at 7 p.m. Friday on a neutral floor at the Sanford Pentagon, here are four things to watch with Purdue volleyball in 2026.

On Thursday morning, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Bradley Barcola to Anfield, estimated at €117 million. The fee could rise to €140 million with various bonuses.

Ornstein adds that Liverpool and PSG are currently finalizing the last details of the deal for the 23-year-old winger. It would be the biggest sale in PSG's history.

Micron (MU) holds a $955 price target, backed by 16 take-or-pay customer agreements and over $1 billion in HBM4 revenue already booked.

SK hynix Inc. (NASDAQ:SKHY) announced a 40 trillion won, or approximately $28.6 billion, program to repurchase and cancel as many as 24.07 million common shares between August 20 and November 19. The shares represent approximately 3.3% of outstanding stock. The company's U.S.-listed ADSs initially gained nearly 4% on August 19 but closed only approximately 0.4% higher after falling 9% during the preceding session.
The timing creates the central tension. SK hynix has committed to return more than 50% of ***** ulative free cash flow generated from 2025 through 2027. For SK hynix Inc. (NASDAQ:SKHY), the question is whether that commitment reflects confidence in structural HBM demand or cash distribution near an unusually profitable point in the memory cycle.
SK hynix Inc. (NASDAQ:SKHY) ended the second quarter with 69.4 trillion won of net cash after cash and short-term investments reached 88 trillion won, and debt declined to 18.6 trillion won. That position provides room to return capital while continuing its production expansion.
SK hynix Inc. (NASDAQ:SKHY) will cancel the repurchased stock instead of retaining it as treasury shares. At unchanged profit, a 3.3% reduction in outstanding shares would lift earnings per share by approximately 3.4%. The economic payoff will ultimately depend on the purchase price and the returns the company could otherwise earn on the cash.
The program would also reverse the dilution from the July Nasdaq offering. SK hynix Inc. (NASDAQ:SKHY) issued 177.9 million ADSs representing 17.79 million new common shares and generated gross proceeds of $26.51 billion before underwriting discounts and offering expenses. A completed 24.07 million-share cancellation would retire approximately 6.28 million more common shares than the offering created.

Tim Curry, the English actor best known for his star turn as Dr Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic musical film "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," has died at the age of 80, US media reported Wednesday.
Curry, who had struggled with his health for more than a decade after a debilitating stroke, died at his home in Los Angeles, TMZ said, citing unnamed sources.
The actor, who launched his career in London's West End theater district, first played the gender-bending mad scientist in "Rocky Horror" before reprising the role in the 1975 film, which is still a staple of midnight cinema showings more than 50 years later.
His other credits include the sinister clown Pennywise in a 1990 television miniseries version of Stephen King's "It" and films that included "Charlie's Angels" and "Muppet Treasure Island."
An impressive theatrical resume that began in the 1960s saw him do turns at the Royal Court Theatre and the Citizens Theatre, taking on roles written by Shakespeare, Brecht and Tom Stoppard, among others.

Kameron Johnson gave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers another encouraging look at what he can bring to the return game Saturday night, showing the type of burst and explosiveness that can make him a difference-maker throughout the 2026 season. Johnson had one kickoff return against the Kansas City Chiefs, taking it 20 yards to the Kansas City 31-yard line and giving Tampa Bay solid starting field position. He also added two punt returns for 24 yards.
The numbers weren't overwhelming, but the flashes were there. Johnson looked decisive with the football in his hands and showed the ability to get north quickly rather than spending too much time searching for an opening. In 2025, he averaged 25.4 yards on 27 kickoff returns and 11.2 yards on 26 punt returns. He also produced Tampa Bay's two longest kick returns of the season, going for 37 and 44 yards, while earning NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
His work against Kansas City was also encouraging because of his offensive contributions. Johnson caught four passes for 56 yards, including a 22-yard reception, while showing that his ability with the ball isn't limited to special teams. He was involved early, catching an 11-yard pass from Jake Browning before later hauling in a 22-yard completion in the third quarter. That combination could make Johnson particularly useful for Tampa Bay. His primary job is returning kicks and punts, but if he continues showing that kind of ability as a receiver, the Buccaneers have another way to get him involved without asking him to become a major part of the offense. If Johnson can consistently turn returns into positive field position while making occasional plays on offense, his value to the Buccaneers could extend well beyond what the traditional returner role offers.

AEW's arrival at London's Wembley Stadium in 2023 for its inaugural All In event represented a seismic shift in the wrestling landscape. The organization, considered a mere challenger brand, packed more than 70,000 fans into the iconic UK stadium.
Around that same time, the company that prided itself on being a place to find the best wrestling in the world had ambitious aspirations of adding to its roster Mercedes Moné, one of the best women's wrestlers of her generation. Moné's unexpected arrival in the stands at that very first AEW All In show only stoked those flames as the former Sasha Banks recovered from a devastating ankle injury suffered against Willow Nightingale.
Now, three years later, AEW returns to Wembley once again, where Moné will attempt to win the one **** le she has yet to hold: the AEW Women's World Championship.
"I knew after [the first show at] Wembley, my heart was so set on AEW," Moné told Uncrowned ahead of AEW All In 2026 this Sunday.
"I loved the energy of Wembley. I love the fans there. I love the matches, and everything just aligned and felt so right. I'm so excited for this year. I'm excited to feel the same energy as I did when I barely was able to walk in with my crutches, sitting there as a fan."

Kyle Busch's connection to Bristol Motor Speedway will be impossible to miss when NASCAR returns to Thunder Valley in September.
Bristol announced Wednesday that it will honor the late NASCAR champion during the Bass Pro Shops Night Race on Sept. 19 with a Lap 18 tribute, a nod to the No. 18 that became synonymous with Busch during the most successful stretch of his Cup Series career.
The tribute will extend well beyond a moment on the racetrack. Fans will receive commemorative yellow towels and be invited to wave them throughout Lap 18, creating what could become one of the most striking tributes to Busch since his death in May.
And when the field races beneath the lights, one particularly familiar sight will be back on the Bristol high banks.
Joe Gibbs Racing will bring Busch's familiar M&M's colors back to the track as part of the tribute.

When you find out an actor whose work you enjoy is blatantly racist and antisemitic in real life, does that realization ruin every movie they've been a part of?
What about an author who has expressed harmful opinions about a marginalized group? What about a smart, witty comedian who turns out to be a serial ******* ual ******* aulter? Where do you draw the line between a creator and their creation? As someone with his feet in both worlds, actor Wil Wheaton weighed in on that question and offered a refreshingly reasonable perspective back in 2021.
"Question: I have more of an opinion question for you. When fans of things hear about misconduct happening on sets/behind-the-scenes are they allowed to still enjoy the thing? Or should it be boycotted completely? Example: I've been a major fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer since I was a teenager and it was currently airing. I really nerded out on it and when I lost my Dad at age 16. 'The Body' episode had me in such cathartic tears. Now we know about Joss Whedon. I haven't rewatched a single episode since his behavior came to light. As a fan, do I respectfully have to just box that away? Is it disrespectful of the actors that went through it to knowingly keep watching?"

And Wheaton offered this response, which he shared:

The adoption of a new college eligibility system — an age-based, five-year model designed to eliminate waivers, redshirts and roster logjams created by a surge of athletes in their mid-20s sticking in school — has been furiously challenged in the courts by members of the 2022 high school class who want a fifth year of eligibility, too.
The new eligibility system, which is replacing one that allowed four seasons of competition over five years with no age restrictions, excludes student-athletes who exhausted their eligibility during the 2025-26 academic year.
That bucket is filled with athletes who first enrolled in 2022, following high school graduation. As of an Aug. 21 report from Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger, more than 150 athletes had filed a total of 18 lawsuits across 15 states. Wins against the NCAA in state courts have allowed athletes to return to college, including football players who were in NFL camps this offseason.
The phenomenon has bewildered NFL coaches, and, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the league is clarifying its eligibility rules on Wednesday.
Here's what Schefter outlined in his report: If a player signed to an NFL contract is cut, they are a free agent, meaning they can sign with another NFL team, a CFL team or return to college. But even if a player cut by an NFL team returns to college this year, they won't be subject to a future NFL Draft because they will still be considered a free agent. Plus, any player who goes back to college this year won't be able to sign with an NFL team this season.

Joakim Mæhle is the latest player linked with a move to Juventus this summer as the Bianconeri continue their efforts to improve their squad. The Dane played for Atalanta between 2021 and 2023, meaning he already understands Italian football well and could adapt quickly if he returns to Serie A.
Juventus have improved their squad in recent weeks and have done well during the final stages of this transfer window. The Bianconeri are already among the clubs with the strongest squads in Italy, but they remain determined to ensure they have the right players available to challenge for trophies this season.
The club will continue doing everything possible to strengthen their squad, and Mæhle has now been linked with a move to Turin. The defender is a quality player who performs well when he competes, and he could provide Juventus with another strong option if they manage to complete a deal.
His previous experience in Italy could also make the move particularly appealing. Having spent two years with Atalanta, Mæhle is already familiar with the demands of Serie A and would not be entering an entirely new football environment.

GDX sits 22% below its peak despite gold at record $4,270, while GDXJ's junior miners deliver the operational leverage the seniors are missing.
GLDM tracks bullion at a lower cost than GDX, making it the cleaner choice for investors seeking a pure hedge over mining equity exposure.

Gold trading near $4,270 should have been a coronation for VanEck Gold Miners ETF (NYSEARCA:GDX). Instead, GDX holders own a fund that has gained 76.34% over the past year, yet still sits roughly 22% below its 52-week high of $117.16. The gap between the metal and the miners is the core reason to own GDX, and that gap remains wide. A related VanEck product has historically closed it, and most GDX holders already know its name without owning it.
GDX is the default vehicle for gold-mining equity exposure. It holds the majors, with Newmont at 10.37%, Agnico Eagle at 10.12%, and Barrick at 6.01%, and the top 10 positions account for 56.30% of **** ets. Investors buy it because it turns a directional view on bullion into equity beta without picking a single miner. Fees are reasonable at 0.51%, and the fund carries a beta of 0.67 against the broader market, which is why it slots into diversification buckets. Those are the reasons GDX sits in so many portfolios.

US stocks traded mostly flat on Wednesday after PCE data showed inflation remained sticky in the lead-up to the Fed's Jackson Hole gathering and as investors counted down to Nvidia's (NVDA) earnings report.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) declined by 0.2%, while the S&P 500 (^GSPC) slid 0.1%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) fell 0.4% after posting broad gains on Tuesday.

Tech and chip stocks face their next test after the closing bell, when Nvidia opens its books in what has become a quarterly yardstick for the health of the artificial intelligence trade. Nvidia (NVDA) reports its second quarter earnings after the bell today.
Nvidia stock snapped its 7-day losing streak on Tuesday, closing up about 2.19% percent. The sell-off marked the stock's longest losing streak since 2022.
Nvidia's report comes as chip stocks more broadly struggle to hang on to gains over the past month following July's steep declines over fresh fears about whether companies will see returns on their vast AI investments.
Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon (AMZN), and Google (GOOG, GOOGL) helped allay at least some of those fears, thanks to strong growth numbers in their respective cloud businesses, though Google, along with Meta (META), spooked investors on increased spending.
Nvidia stock edged higher by 0.2% before the bell on Wednesday.

Coming off a breakthrough 11-3 season, Virginia finds itself in the rather unusual position of returning an offensive line basically intact and having to replace just about everything around it. There are worse places to start when it comes to rebuilding an offense, though.
The o-line returns a couple of guys who were third-team All-ACC honorees last season, including left tackle McKale Boley and also adds in a couple of veterans who were supposed to be impact transfers last season before getting hurt. The starting five listed on UVA's depth chart for this week includes two seventh-year players, two sixth-year players, and one young fifth-year guy. Sign of the times, huh.
This should be the clear strength of Virginia's offense, which is good given that it is going to need time for new quarterback Beau Pribula to acclimate to his new surroundings. Pribula wasn't very good at Missouri last season (11-9 TD-INT, 7.2 YPA), as evidenced by the fact that he is no longer at Missouri, and he along with a largely new receiving corps leaves plenty of uncertainty for the Cavaliers to sort through. UVA hedged a bit in bringing ex-Pitt starter Eli Holstein in as well—which could end up looking like a shrewd move, depending.
UVA hit on several big running plays in Raleigh last season and averaged over 8.0 yards per carry for the game as a result, but gone is 1,000-yard rusher J'Mari Taylor (he ran for 150 against State), and in his place to begin 2026 is Jekail Middlebrook, who ran for 752 yards at Middle Tennessee last season.
I'm sure Virginia would love to dictate terms up front and take as much pressure off of its passing game as possible. It's tough to guess at the ceiling of that passing game or how cohesive it will look in the first game of the season, but if the Cavs end up pushing NC State's defensive front around, they can work around a lot of issues.

When you first start investing, getting your brokerage account balance to even $1,000 can seem like a real accomplishment. Getting it to $100,000 can seem almost impossible.
But you don't necessarily need a huge salary, flawless stock-picking skills, or perfect market timing. In reality, you just need discipline, a consistent pattern of investing, and a diversified portfolio of high quality stocks. Give it enough time and you can let the long-term power of compounding do a lot of the work for you.

Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (YM=F) and the S&P 500 (ES=F) hovered near the flat line, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 (NQ=F) fell 0.2% after posting broad gains on Tuesday.
At 8:30 a.m. ET, investors will find out if the Fed's preferred inflation gauge continued its downward trajectory, stalled, or reaccelerated, which would put more pressure on the central bank to raise rates. Economists expect a core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) of 3.3%, unchanged from the month before.
The report comes amid angst in the bond market and ahead of the Jackson Hole annual gathering of Fed policymakers this week, where Chairman Kevin Warsh will deliver a speech on the central bank's future plans.
Tech and chip stocks, meanwhile, face their next test after the closing bell, when Nvidia opens its books in what has become a quarterly yardstick for the health of the artificial intelligence trade. Expectations are high heading into the earnings report, as investors increasingly focus on companies' ability to generate returns on their massive AI investments.
