One Knox SC took the advantage with two goals in the first half before giving up just as many against AC Boise, finishing the game in a 2-2 draw Aug. 22 at Covenant Health Park.
After earning draws with late goal in each of the past two matches, Knoxville fell victim to the tying goal in the 83rd minute to have points stolen away.
"This is deflating because you when you score two goals at home, I expect us to win," head coach Ian Fuller said. "There's a lot to be frustrated with, but certainly not by the buy-in and the fight."

The match was defined by physicality, which turned into flared tempers in stoppage time. One Knox conceded 24 fouls and was given three yellow cards. Boise conceded 14 fouls and earned two yellow cards.

Michael Olise scored a goal and created another as Bayern Munich won 2-1 at old foes Borussia Dortmund in the season-opening German Supercup on Saturday.
After a starring role with France at the World Cup, Olise was Bayern's most dangerous attacker, regularly tearing down the right flank.
He found makeshift midfielder Nathaniel Brown for Bayern's 28th-minute opener and then scored one of his own just before the break.
A late goal for former Wolverhampton striker Fabio Silva brought Dortmund closer and the hosts could have levelled deep into stoppage time but Maximilian Beier scuffed a golden chance when through on goal.
Bayern were rusty and barely resembled the barnstorming side which lost just once domestically last season but had enough quality to see off a rebuilding Dortmund team playing in the season opener for the first time since 2021.

As the 2026 MLB season has unfolded, everyone involved, front offices, players, and fans, has approached this season with a sense of urgency.
The reason? Most observers aren't sure there will be a season in 2027.
There will be a work stoppage following the completion of the World Series once the current Collective Bargaining Agreement expires, most likely through an owner's lockout of the players that will last for months. Spring training will be affected and the likelihood that games will be missed next year is very real.
Owners want a salary cap. The MLB Player's Union is dead set against it.
It is the Kashmir issue of MLB's labor battle. It is the Taiwan. It is the Jerusalem. It is seemingly the one topic on which there can be no compromise.

This week had absolutely everything you could hope for: an upset that sent an NSL side home from the Canadian Championship, seven goals in Calgary, a stoppage-time winner in Vancouver and a Montréal side that walked away from Toronto with another clean sheet.
With the regular season moving deeper into August, every result is starting to tilt the playoff scales. Here's how the latest run of action unfolded.
Wednesday, Aug. 12 | Stade Boréale, Laval, Quebec | Canadian Championship quarterfinal
Simcoe County Rovers FC did not look like an underdog when the whistle blew. They bloomed into a team that had decided the occasion belonged to them.
Just three minutes into the match, Teagan Handley swung a corner into the box and Tia Schaffer rose above the crowd to bury a header. The early goal gave Simcoe something valuable against an experienced Montréal side: confidence.

ONE Championship's loss is the UFC's gain – maybe.
ONE contender Akbar Abdullaev is headed to Dana White's Contender Series, as he's slated for a battle vs. Urijah Faber A1 Combat standout Anthony Figueroa at the Sept. 15 event at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Kyrgyzstan's Abdullaev (13-0) allegedly split from ONE in the spring. Abdullaev is deemed "the uncrowned champion" by fans, as he defeated champion Tang Kai by fifth-round TKO stoppage but failed the hydration test, making him ******* le-ineligible. Abdullaev has a 100 percent finishing rate through 13 professional fights with 12 knockouts and one submission.
Figueroa (9-1) is a second-generation fighter. His father, who shares the same name, competed six times for Strikeforce from 2006 to 2008. 1. Returning Caiya Hanks scores stoppage time game-winner for Portland Thorns
Sports are best when they're emotionally resonant, and nothing beats what Caiya Hanks did at Providence Park.
The Portland Thorns forward played in her first match since returning from an ACL injury that has kept her away from NWSL action for more than a year. The 21-year-old forward substituted on in the 88th minute and made an immediate impact at home for the Thorns. In the sixth minute of stoppage time, Hanks moved the ball to the middle just outside the penalty area and with little defensive pressure from nearly four Orlando defenders she shot the ball to the right post past the goalkeeper. Providence Park exploded with excitement and it seemed her entire team was waiting to give her a hug.
2. Big returns for Sunday night soccer between Washington Spirit and Angel City
Three major players for both Washington Spirit and Angel City FC made their long awaited returns to play on Sunday night. Ashley Hatch made her official return to the pitch in the 83rd after returning from maternity leave last week for the Spirit. On the home side, Savy King returned for her first match since suffering a lower leg injury that has kept her out since April. Though the biggest return may have been Sydney Leroux who came on in stoppage time for Angel City after 654 days away from an official match.

Phil Parkinson bemoaned his team's lack of ruthlessness – and the amount of stoppage time at the end of the game – after a 98th-minute equaliser denied Wrexham a Welsh derby victory over Cardiff City.
Parkinson's side were on course to begin the new Championship campaign with a hard-fought win after Kieffer Moore's third-minute goal at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Wrexham missed chances to extend their lead – and twice hit the woodwork – on a night when they carried greater threat than their hosts only to be denied a win when Rubin Colwill smashed in a free-kick in the last act of the game.
"We've had chances to kill the game off. We haven't taken them, the keeper's made saves, but we haven't really made him make a top-class save," Parkinson said.
"We knew we could give Cardiff problems and time and time again we did. Really in the cold light of day, the game should have been out of sight, but it wasn't."

Brian Barry-Murphy toasted substitute Rubin Colwill's impact in Cardiff City's dramatic Welsh derby draw with Wrexham - after admitting he should not have come on as early as he did.
The Bluebirds seemed destined for defeat in their opening game of the new Championship season after Kieffer Moore's early goal at the Cardiff City Stadium.
On a night when Wrexham missed chances to put the game to bed, Cardiff huffed and puffed, but looked like lacking the quality to find an equaliser until Colwill lashed home a free-kick in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
"I thought he had a big impact on a big game," Barry-Murphy said.

Amy Woodruff secured herself a brace on opening day against Thornaby Women, helping Leeds United Women to an emphatic 7-0 win in the FA WNL Division One North.
Woodruff opened the scoring in the first half as she finished off a really neat team move starting from Darcie Greene at left back, before adding the seventh in stoppage time to cap off the victory.
Speaking after the final whistle, our number 14 said: "I think we grew into the game definitely. I think the first 10 or 15 minutes showed quite a few nerves, but it's opening day of the season.
"We know how long the season is, we stuck to the task and we got rewarded by the girls today, and it's a great start to the season.
"I think preseason builds a lot to this first game, no matter who your opponent is. It's important that we've worked well in pre-season, which we have done. Everything's been so positive in camp and we were just so ready to get going today."

Charles Johnson turned in one of the rarest submissions in UFC history earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 15, 2026) at UFC 330 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Penn., as the flyweight veteran spoiled Eduardo Chapolin's Octagon debut with a third-round Scottish twister.
This is only the second Scottish twister in UFC history. The first occurred earlier this year at UFC Vegas 119 courtesy of Murtazali Magomedov (watch it HERE).
Johnson, who was originally expected to fight Jose Ochoa before the latter pulled out, had no issue accepting Chapolin on short notice. Oddsmakers had the flyweight bout almost even, but most expected Chapolin to deliver a memorable UFC debut. Unfortunately for Chapolin, Johnson once again proved he's one of the toughest outs in the division and a true prospect killer Remember, "Inner G" has knockout wins over the likes of Joshua Van and Lone'er Kavanagh.
The fight was an entertaining back-and-forth offering both striking and grappling. Chapolin was deducted a point in the first round for an illegal knee and eye poke, but they weren't enough to stop Johnson from continuing the fight. Good thing he did because Johnson was able to drag Chapolin to deep water and take his back early into the third round. Chapolin dropped to the canvas and during the transition Johnson was able to lock up the twister and force the stoppage. It was sensational.

PHILADELPHIA – The UFC flyweight division continues to deliver in 2026.
On the UFC 330 prelims Saturday at Xfinity Mobile Arena, Charles Johnson topped off a thrilling 130-pound catchweight bout with a third-round Scottish twister submission win over days' notice fill-in Eduardo Chapolin. The stoppage came at 1:36 of Round 3.
Although Johnson (20-9 MMA, 9-7 UFC) walked away victorious, the win didn't come easy. Chapolin (15-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) proved to be a worthy test and will be one UFC fans circle on the bout sheet whenever he returns with a full camp.
Chapolin flowed well in the early stages of the fight, though he fouled Johnson with an illegal knee that resulted in a point deduction from referee Jason Herzog. The second round turned into a bit of a banger, with both men showcasing the elite speed and technical abilities the UFC's lightest male division is known for.
After the win, Johnson dedicated the performance to Allan Nascimento, the UFC flyweight fighter who died earlier in August from a heart attack. Johnson was originally scheduled to face Nascimento's teammate Jose Ochoa on the card, but Ochoa withdrew earlier in fight week.

Charles Johnson showed he has more than a few tricks up his sleeve after pulling off the rare Scottish twister submission to dispatch Eduardo Chapolin at UFC 330 on Saturday.
Originally scheduled to face Jose Ochoa until just a few days ago, Chapolin accepted the fight and nearly pulled off the upset after the cracked Johnson with a stiff shot that dropped the veteran flyweight in the second round. But Johnson showed off his signature durability as he bounced back and recovered between rounds.
In the third, Johnson looked like the fresher fighter as he started dishing out punishment until a scramble led to him taking Chapolin's back momentarily. As Chapolin tried to reverse positions, Johnson made him pay by immediately grabbing onto the Scottish twister with the tap coming just seconds later.
The official stoppage came at 1:36 in the third round.
"That's my ****** ," Johnson said about his submission finish. "I've been training diligently. We worked our ****** off. I kind of made him feel he could turn in and I had it."

Donte Johnson didn't need much time to pick up his third UFC win.
Johnson (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) took on Eric McConico on the prelims of UFC 330 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia and gave the fans plenty to cheer about. At 1:38 of Round 1, Johnson knocked out McConico (11-5-1 MMA, 2-3 UFC).
The heavy-handed Johnson went to work right away, making sure Johnson felt his power as he applied forward pressure. Johnson threw out a right-hand feint, followed by a huge left power shot to the jaw that sent McConico crashing to the canvas. Johnson rushed in for follow-up punches, and referee Blake Grice got an unwanted piece of the action as he dove in to stop the fight.
During his post-fight interview, Johnson expressed his desire to not only fight in multiple weight classes during his UFC tenure, but aims to capture gold in three weight classes.
With this result, Johnson improves to 3-0 in the UFC with two stoppages. For McConico, his recent trend of wins and losses continues as he struggles to stay consistent.

Donte Johnson stayed undefeated at UFC 330 and has his sights set on not one, not two, but three UFC ******* les.
That kind of hyperbole might seem unwise at this early stage of Johnson's career, but he was understandably on a high after dropping Eric McConico with an explosive left hand that put McConico down for the count in a little over 90 seconds.

Johnson entered Saturday's contest as a sizable favorite and he didn't disappoint, working through dangerous exchanges with McConico to eventually land a devastating punch that pierced right through McConico's defenses. McConico hit the mat hard and Johnson followed up with another heavy left on the ground that left no doubt the fight was over.
The official time of the stoppage was 1:38 into Round 1.

Neil Magny, never change.
The veteran of 38 UFC fights added to his incredible list of comebacks Saturday at UFC 330, scoring a knockout over Ramiz Brahimaj after dropping the opening round of their welterweight contest.
Watch Magny's latest impressive finish below.
Brahimaj took an early lead in the fight, using his powerful wrestling to ground Magny and prevent the 16-year veteran from getting any offense going. However, Brahimaj wasn't able to **** ert himself completely and Magny avoided any major damage heading into the second round.
Magny was able to get top position himself in Round 2, and even though Brahimaj managed to reverse, the momentum appeared to be shifting in Magny's favor. Sure enough, Magny eventually bullied Brahimaj against the cage and landed punch after punch on his fading opponent to force the stoppage.

PHILADELPHIA – Few combat sports homecomings had the level of drama that Jeremiah Wells experienced Saturday at UFC 330 at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
His opponent Myktybek Orolbai seemed to be on the verge of a breakthrough moment, dominating social media numbers throughout the week, with a strong Kyrgyzstan fanbase seeming ready to lay claim to a megastar. However, Wells (14-4-1 MMA, 6-2 UFC) had other plans.
If one didn't know better, they'd think from the ovations that the opening prelim was taking place in Kyrgyzstan. Orolbai (16-3-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) was thunderously cheered. The home-area fighter, Wells? He was greeted with some boos – mostly from the vocal Kyrgyz in the crowd.
For two rounds, things seemed to be going according to plan. The heavy favorite Orolbai dominated the grappling, slowly beating down Wells with ground-and-pound. But Wells showed glimpses of success, mainly with his boxing.
Down two rounds to three entering the third, Wells solidified his place in UFC lore for the special moment as he caught Orolbai with a punch – and then put him to sleep with a rare standing ninja choke. The Xfinity Mobile Arena was now unequivocally on his side as the venue erupted. The stoppage came at 1:24 of Round 3.
