Teck Resources Ltd (NYSE:TECK) stock's pullback from its Sept. 8 record high of $72.56 has found support at the 60-, 80-, and 100-day moving averages. The 100-day trendline in particular is a historically bullish signal that presents an intriguing 'buy the dip' angle.
Per Schaeffer's Senior Quantitative ******* yst Rocky White, TECK has traded within 0.75 times the 100-day moving average's 20-day average true range (ATR) after spending at least 80% of the previous two weeks and 80% of the prior 42 trading sessions above the trendline. This setup has occurred eight other times over the last decade, after which the stock was higher one month later 75% of the time, averaging a large 13.8% gain.
Short interest accounts for a healthy 7.5% of the stock's available float, leaving ample sideline buying power should some of these bearish bets begin to unwind. TECK's 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 28.4 also sits in "oversold" territory, which often precedes a short-term bounce.
Plus, TECK's Schaeffer's Volatility Scorecard (SVS) sits at 81 out of 100, suggesting the shares have tended to outperform options traders' volatility expectations during the past year.

India will play a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan starting September 13.
However, there's something unusual about seeing Afghanistan listed as the home side on a scorecard at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
The visitors are India, playing in their own capital city, against a team that is technically the host.
It looks strange at a glance, but The Sporting News breaks it down for you.

Yesterday's umpire scorecard was pretty much what you would have expected from watching the game. He was terrible.
I don't think managers can stress the importance of saving challenges for later in the game enough. Of course, you never know, that first inning might be the pivotal moment of the ball game. But, perhaps the manager could suggest to the catches that, especially early, don't challenge unless it is a very obvious missed call, on say a ball four call, if the bases are already loaded. Say a pitch right down the middle called a ball. Any pitch towards the edge of zone, suck it up.
Anyway, here it is. I don't know what the level of ******* piness should lead to an umpire being fired immediately after a game should be, but this is, at very least close.
The umpire was that bad and yet the teams were only 1 for 4 on challenges.
The problem with being that bad is that you are likely to be ummmm more bad towards one team and that was us last night.

Bitcoin (BTC) mining name Riot Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:RIOT) is surging today, up 11.6% at $20.79 at last glance while Bitcoin taps three-month highs. Along with sector tailwinds, RIOT has its own bullish signal to keep an eye on as well.
According to Schaeffer's Senior Quantitative ******* yst Rocky White, Riot Platforms stock is trading within 0.75 times the 260-day moving averages' 20-day average true range (ATR), after spending at least 80% of the previous two weeks and 80% of the prior 42 trading sessions above that trendline. This setup has appeared six other times over the last decade, after which the stock was higher one month later 100% of the time, averaging a large 19.7% gain.
Short interest represents a hefty 14.35% of RIOT's available float, or more than 50 million shares, and would take shorts nearly three days to cover at the stock's average pace of trading. A move higher could pressure some of these bearish bettors to exit their positions, creating additional buying power.
Now also looks like a good time to weigh RIOT's next move with options. The stock's Schaeffer's Volatility Index (SVI) of 76% sits in the low 9th percentile of its annual range, suggesting options traders are pricing in relatively low volatility expectations at the moment. Plus, its Schaeffer's Volatility Scorecard (SVS) stands at 80 out of 100, indicating RIOT has tended to exceed option traders' volatility expectations during the past year.

HRL claims 60 straight years of annual dividend raises; GIS offers a higher ~6% yield but froze its payout from 2018 through 2020.
GIS generated $2 billion in operating cash flow but posted an $85 million net loss after nearly $3 billion in non-cash impairment charges.

Two of the most reliable dividend names in packaged food just wrote fresh checks to shareholders, and the scorecards look nothing alike. Hormel Foods (NYSE:HRL) closed out its 60-year run of annual increases with a quarterly payout that management called its 392nd consecutive quarterly payout. General Mills (NYSE:GIS) delivered a fatter check backed by a 127-year streak of uninterrupted payments, but a fresh round of impairments has investors questioning what comes next.
Here is how the two dividend kings of the grocery aisle stack up right now.

KMI's 2% dividend raise earns a C+ while WMB's 5% raise and 52-year payment streak push it to an A-.

Two natural gas pipeline giants just cut checks to shareholders, and the fine print reveals why they deserve very different dividend grades. Kinder Morgan (NYSE:KMI) sent investors $0.2975 per share on August 17, 2026, while Williams Companies (NYSE:WMB) most recently paid $0.525 per share on June 29, 2026, with another $0.525 payment scheduled for September 28. Same sector, same customer base, same natural gas tailwinds. Very different scorecards.
The gap comes down to growth rate, payout coverage, and streak length. One is compounding faster and covering the payout more comfortably. The other is running a tighter payout ratio with slower raises. Here is the grading.

*Welcome to The Scorecard, PureWow's newest editorial series where we talk all things women's sports, showcasing the achievements and lifestyles of powerhouse female athletes. Read along as we celebrate the women breaking records, slaying style and owning every moment on and off the court.*

This has been the summer to end all summers—at least, if you're a sports fan. The New York Knicks won the NBA championships for the first time since 1973. The FIFA World Cup touched down in North America, including major American cities like L.A. and NYC. Wimbledon drew everyone across the pond to see Serena Williams make a comeback (and have a Pimm's Cup).
Personally, I duck at any projectile flying for my face, meaning I'm not interested in playing basketball, tennis or soccer. However, I have been watching all these sporting events with a laser focus on the celebrity spectators—more specifically, their outfits. Stars have treated the court, pitch and royal box like a personal runway, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Kate Middleton, Shakira and others making the actual match feel like the side show. Below, the best-dressed cohort that made me wish I'd gotten tickets to see the matches.

ATLANTA (AP) — Scottie Scheffler's final act of the season was to sign his winning scorecard. After a few minutes to exhale, his wife and two sons having come into the room, he placed his cap over the fixed camera the PGA Tour now installs in previously private scoring areas. Content is king.
It wasn't quite the level of Brian Harman smirking and shooting the bird at the camera last month in Minnesota, which made Scheffler chuckle and pump his fist. Both were playful moments, and yet Sunday at East Lake shed a little light on Scheffler's incredible staying power.
Scheffler loves what it takes to be the best player in golf, even the tedious work. He just doesn't care for all the noise and notoriety that accompany greatness.
"I have a tendency to keep my head down and kind of stay in my own lane when I'm out there playing," he said during the trophy presentation at the Tour Championship. "It's really fun when you're able to win and celebrate with the fans in moments like these, and have my family here."
Still, his priority is to crush more than to engage. So he added somewhat apologetically, "I feel bad sometimes. I really do keep my head down and try to focus as much as I can. But I really do hear all the cheers, and I'm very thankful for all of them."

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 01: Gervonta Davis takes a knee in the middle of round nine due to the grease in his braids dripped into his eyes against Lamont Roach Jr. during their bout for Davis' WBA lightweight ****** le at Barclays Center on March 01, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images)
I'll never forget the March 2024 fight between Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach Jr. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. I sat in press row next to long-time boxing journalist Michael Woods and scored the fight 8-4 in favor of Roach. It seemed everyone in the vicinity agreed, but we all knew something strange could happen, and it did. Davis escaped with a draw.
There was so much wrong about that decision. First, the scorecards shouldn't have been that close and second, Davis should have be ruled down in the ninth round when he took a knee because something was in his eye. Had that been scored a knockdown, Roach would've won — even with the questionable scorecards. I had a chance to speak with legendary referee Jack Reiss about this instance and others. According to Reiss, the Tank-Roach fight led to a major change in the way boxing matches will be officiated. Let's talk boxing.

Caroline Dubois coasted to victory over Amelia Moore to defend her WBC and WBO lightweight **** les and stay on course for a blockbuster meeting with unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner in 2027.
Dubois dominated the fight at BP Pulse Arenain Birmingham and knocked Moore down in the fifth round but was unable to find the decisive blow against the dogged American.
The British fighter won on unanimous judges' decision, 99-90 99-90 98-91 ahead on the scorecards.
Dubois was heavy favourite for this fight and never looked less than in control, although her reliance on power and presence rather than speed ensured it went the distance to a long, inevitable conclusion.
She sent Moore to the canvas with a booming left in round five, but Moore got straight back up and was instead moved around the ring by Dubois like a cat playing with a mouse.

Bella Mir, the daughter of former multiple-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, entered week 3 of Dana White's Contender Series 10 on Tuesday as a heavy favorite to win. Instead, the 23-year-old suffered her first career defeat.
Mir headlined the fight card pitted against Alex Apodaca. Apodaca's takedown defense proved effective against the NCAA champion wrestler and was able to score a unanimous decision upset.
UFC CEO Dana White has known Mir for years and even advised her about her future paths not long ago. He has a close relationship with the multi-sport athlete and weighed in on her loss during the event's post-fight press conference.
"I was extremely biased coming into tonight. I've been close to her for over four years," White said. "Four years ago, she came to me and wanted to sort of map out her future. I'm the one that talked her into going to college, you know, and waiting, you know, getting a wrestling background in college, do some great things there, and then come here and, you know …"
Mir entered the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Tuesday with a 4-0 professional record. Apodaca was 3-1, but White believes Mir's inexperience played a role. She had only gone the distance once before while all of Apodaca's fights were settled on the scorecards.

Two established fan favorites look to reassert their standing at the top of a talent-laden women's atomweight MMA division at ONE SAMURAI 4.
Itsuki "Android 18" Hirata and Jihin "Shadow Cat" Radzuan will settle unfinished business when they meet in a pivotal atomweight MMA rematch, which emanates live from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, **** an, on Saturday, October 17.
Hirata originally burst onto the global stage with real fanfare, backing up her widespread popularity with formidable judo skills. The 27-year-old ignited her promotional tenure with a flawless 4-0 run that featured three finishes.
However, that momentum came to a screeching halt when her path first crossed with Jihin's at the historic ONE X in 2022.
Entering the highly anticipated bout as the clear favorite, the Tokyo native found her signature hip throws repeatedly neutralized by the resilient Malaysian underdog. Jihin executed clever escapes and expertly timed strikes to control the exchanges, ultimately leaving Hirata trailing on the judges' scorecards to secure a split-decision upset.

Rolly Romero has hit out at the judging in his narrow defeat by Teofimo Lopez, after losing the WBA welterweight ****** le in a back-and-forth clash on Saturday.
Lopez earned scorecards of 116-112 and 115-113 at Las Vegas's T-Mobile Arena, while the other read 114-114, as Lopez dethroned his fellow American to become a three-weight champion.
For Lopez, 29, activity down the stretch was seemingly crucial, as he recovered from a fifth round in which he was cut and wobbled. Yet Romero, 30, has disputed that Lopez did enough to ****** the victory.

UFC middleweight Anthony Hernandez criticized referee Herb Dean for not taking a point away from Gregory Rodrigues at UFC Sacramento.
Hernandez fought Rodrigues in the main event of UFC Sacramento, ultimately coming up short on the judges' scorecards when the Brazilian won a unanimous decision in an incredible matchup that won Fight of the Night.
After the card was over, Hernandez spoke to the media and expressed frustration with the referee for not taking a point away from Rodrigues for grabbing his gloves.
Speaking to the media at the UFC Sacramento post-fight press conference, Hernandez became just the latest in a long line of UFC fighters to criticize Dean.
"I told (expletive) Herb, 'This (expletive) grabbed my glove like four times.' And I was like, 'Hey, he's grabbing my gloves.' And he told him, 'Hey, stop.' But I mean, whatever, don't take a point. Whatever. (Expletive) it. I guess people like to cheat, so it is what it is," Hernandez said.
