Caroline Dubois coasted to victory over Amelia Moore to defend her WBC and WBO lightweight **** les and stay on course for a blockbuster meeting with unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner in 2027.
Dubois dominated the fight at BP Pulse Arenain Birmingham and knocked Moore down in the fifth round but was unable to find the decisive blow against the dogged American.
The British fighter won on unanimous judges' decision, 99-90 99-90 98-91 ahead on the scorecards.
Dubois was heavy favourite for this fight and never looked less than in control, although her reliance on power and presence rather than speed ensured it went the distance to a long, inevitable conclusion.
She sent Moore to the canvas with a booming left in round five, but Moore got straight back up and was instead moved around the ring by Dubois like a cat playing with a mouse.

Riviera, the Florida Times-Union's high school girls player of the year in 2025, made six birdies and shot 3-under-par 69 to finish six shots behind leader Amelia Harris of Australia, who birdied her last six holes and shot 8-under 28 on the back nine. Riviera is tied for sixth.
Rivera birdied Nos. 2, 4 and 9 on the front. She swapped birdies at Nos. 10 and 12 with bogeys at Nos. 13 and 15, but closed with a birdie at the par-4 18th hole.
Rivera's caddie is her uncle, two-time PGA Tour winner Russell Knox.
Rivera will tee off at No. 10 at Old Chatham at 12:55 p.m. on July 14. She is three shots clear of the cut line to make match play. The top 64 players will advance on July 15.

A former Australian Open junior finalist, when she was just 15, Swan became the youngest player to represent Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup and was tipped for big things as a teenager as she made her Wimbledon debut in 2016.
But injuries stalled Swan's progress, with a back injury putting her career in jeopardy. By the end of 2024, Swan had started coaching at a tennis club in Kansas, where her parents live, and considered retirement because the pain was so severe. As a "last resort", she visited a doctor in Arizona and sought alternative treatment.
Swan described the rehab she underwent to overcome her back spasms as "excruciating", to the point that continuing may not have been worth it, but she pushed through. "There were times when I cried during the sessions but I just had to trust him because he told me that it was going be worth it and I was going to feel better," Swan told the Press ******* ociation.
