SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) reached a major milestone in its rocket-launching business recently, when the massive Starship reached orbit for the first time and deployed 26 Starlink satellites.
To be sure, it didn't go perfectly. An engine shut down during the ascent, and splashdown occurred three hours into a mission scheduled for 10. Even so, it's quite a milestone.

Elon Musk has never shied away from ambitious timelines, and his most recent one connects two companies directly together. In a post on X dated September 13, Musk stated that he is "highly confident" that **** e Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) will transport NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) Vera Rubin NVL72 AI computers into orbit next year, repeating a plan that has already moved both companies' stock this year.
The comment strengthens **** eX's Starmind concept, which aims to establish AI data centers in orbit rather than on the ground. The first satellite, named Starmind AI1, will carry a **** e-optimized version of NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale system. The standard terrestrial NVL72 combines 72 Rubin GPUs and 36 Vera CPUs, although **** eX and NVIDIA have not disclosed the final configuration of the orbital version. **** e Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) plans to launch the satellite in the fourth quarter of 2027 and reach substantial scale by 2028. Musk's plan isn't new; during **** eX's first earnings conference as a public company in August, he stated that the company would build exclusively on NVIDIA hardware in the future, calling the Vera Rubin architecture the best available AI computer design.
Musk's central point is that **** e is, in the long run, the most cost-effective area to develop AI computing. He cites solar power availability in orbit as a crucial advantage, and estimates that within two to three years, **** e might become the lowest-cost place for AI computing in general, describing the orbital architecture as simpler, less expensive, denser, and lighter than a standard data-center rack. Not everyone believes the physics and economics will align on Musk's timeframe. Microsoft President Brad Smith has publicly questioned the broader concept, telling reporters that he would be surprised if companies actually transferred computation from land to low-Earth orbit.
For NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA), the read-through is simple: **** e-based computing would represent a new, if early-stage and speculative, source of demand for its Vera Rubin platform, on top of the company's strong position in terrestrial AI infrastructure. According to some **** yst models, **** eX accounts for approximately 5% of NVIDIA's revenue.
SpaceX's reasoning is more convoluted. The plan is entirely dependent on the success of Starship, **** eX's next-generation rocket system, which still needs to demonstrate its capacity to handle launch frequency and reliability on the scale Musk describes. When Musk said during **** eX's August earnings call that the company would build its future AI infrastructure exclusively on NVIDIA, NVDA shares rose more than 4%, while **** eX's shares fell more than 10% before paring losses, reflecting investor concerns about execution risk and capital intensity, despite the fact that the NVIDIA relationship was well received.

SpaceX must pull off rocket reusability if the company is to reach a stratospheric market valuation in the not-too-distant future.
"A successful investment case in ****** eX at the current $2 trillion enterprise value rests almost entirely on a single admittedly massive engineering bottleneck: Starship reusability (i.e. 20-50 flights per Starship with relatively inexpensive and quick refurbishment/redeployment)," Pivotal Research Group ****** yst Jeffrey Wlodarczak wrote in a note on Tuesday. "If Elon Musk can solve for this fundamental issue it potentially drives down the cost of launches to ****** e to the equivalent of terrestrial freight opening up an unarguably massive opportunity."
Wlodarczak initiated coverage of ****** eX with a Buy rating and $220 price target.
That massive opportunity, Wlodarczak said, includes Starlink taking a material share of the wireless industry and serving as a ****** e monopoly, with others having to pay ****** eX for entry.
"In the end, investors are debating xAI, Colossus, and Starlink take-rates," Wlodarczak added. "Those matter only after Starship works. Our $220 target is a call on reuse 20–50 flights per vehicle, cheap refurb, fast turnaround. If that is solved, the rest of the model can happen. If it is not, SPCX is a different and much smaller company."

Technip Energies (THNPY) stock has declined by 22.5% in the last 52 weeks, with the Middle East conflict a key negative catalyst. As a result of this correction, Technip stock trades at an attractive forward price-earnings ratio of 18.
While geopolitical tensions in the Middle East persist, there are emerging catalysts for Technip. It was recently reported that Technip is a contender for a potential $10 billion rocket fuel deal with **** eX (SPCX). With the first Starship launch targeted for 2029, Elon Musk has been pushing for rapid construction, and a potential deal for Technip would imply healthy revenue growth over the next 36 months. Palo Alto Networks (PANW) reports earnings on Sept. 1, and Wall Street has high expectations. In the week before its quarterly release, almost every day an **** yst firm raised its price target for the company. Benchmark started the rally by raising its price target on Aug. 24. J.P Morgan raised its price target on Aug. 25. Robert W. Baird raised it on Aug. 27. And Jefferies did the same on Aug. 28. All these firms kept a "Buy" rating on the stock. The optimism helped push PANW stock higher, and shares jumped roughly 13% in a single trading session.
The optimism is for a good reason. For the July quarter, management guided to revenue of around $3.35 billion, which would be an increase of approximately 32% from a year ago. Its next-generation security business, the subscription-based AI and cloud products, is expected to grow close to 60%. This will also be the first full quarter that includes CyberArk, the $25 billion identity security company Palo Alto recently bought. Its newest AI security product, Prisma AIRS, has also been the fastest-growing product in the company's history.

Alibaba Group Holding Limited (BABA) is sending an unusually strong signal to investors at a critical moment for its artificial intelligence (AI) ambitions. Co-founder Jack Ma has reportedly purchased more than HK$600 million, or roughly $76.5 million, of Alibaba's Hong Kong-listed shares in recent days, joining Chairman Joe Tsai and CEO Eddie Wu in buying the stock.
The timing of Ma's purchase is particularly notable. Alibaba recently announced an HK$80 billion ($10.2 billion) share placement, with proceeds earmarked for expanding its full-stack AI capabilities, including infrastructure, chips, and AI models. The capital raise triggered a sell-off as investors worried about dilution, elevated spending, and whether Alibaba can generate sufficient returns from its massive AI investments.

Marvell Technology (MRVL) keeps winning over the **** ysts. GF Securities reiterated its favorable view on the stock, naming it a top pick within its positive outlook on custom AI chips. **** yst Henry Huang said much of the growth he sees comes from Alphabet's (GOOG) (GOOGL) Google. None of this comes out of nowhere. Just a few days back, Marvell signed a custom chip deal with Google that let the search giant take a potential $12 billion equity stake in the company. Huang expects that partnership to improve Marvell's odds of winning even more of Google's future chip work.

Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) may be setting up another major catalyst for investors as the chip giant reportedly agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12.9 billion. According to The Information, the deal would rank among Nvidia's largest acquisitions and give the company control over one of the most important platforms in the open-source artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem.
The strategic logic extends well beyond simply adding another AI company to Nvidia's portfolio. Hugging Face hosts millions of AI models and datasets and has become a key destination for developers building and deploying open-source AI. Owning the platform could allow Nvidia to strengthen its position at the software and developer layer of AI, potentially reinforcing demand for its GPUs and CUDA ecosystem. It could also provide a counterweight to closed-model leaders such as OpenAI and Anthropic, which are increasingly pursuing proprietary AI chips that could reduce their dependence on Nvidia.

Nvidia (NVDA) has reached a point where its size and market cap alone can make it look intimidating. Over the last five years, Nvidia's stock has skyrocketed by 817.8%, while its market capitalization has grown from roughly $557 billion to about $5 trillion today. That means Nvidia is now worth about 9.1 times what it was five years ago. And this phenomenal growth was not because of hype. The company is already generating tens of billions of dollars in quarterly revenue, its AI chips are at the heart of the industry's infrastructure buildout, and investors have seen its profitability grow at an incredible rate.
And its recent fiscal second-quarter earnings released on Aug. 26 show that growth is far from slowing. Surprisingly, even if Nvidia is getting dramatically bigger, the stock is still reasonably valued. What could be the reason behind it, and should investors take advantage of that? Let us find out.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — ******* eX has pulled off its biggest salvage operation yet, recovering its most recently launched Starship from the Indian Ocean.
Elon Musk's company is now in the process of shipping Starship back to its home base in Texas, a trip expected to take several months. ******* eX shared pictures of the recovery effort near Christmas Island late this week.
Starship — the biggest and most powerful rocket in the world — blasted off July 24 from Starbase, Texas. It was the 13th test flight of a full-up Starship, but unlike all the others, it survived the hourlong ******* e-skimming flight and remained floating and intact.
"Congratulations to the entire ******* eX Recovery team for battling through challenging conditions to give our engineers access to a wealth of data to continue rapidly developing Starship," the company said via X.
Starship is how Musk intends to get people and equipment to Mars, where he hopes to build a city. First up, though, is the moon. NASA is counting on Starship as well as Jeff Bezos' Blue Moon lander to return astronauts to the lunar surface as early as 2028.

One thing to note is that the site includes sensitive coastal wetlands. **** eX has said it will leave portions undeveloped and will work with state agencies on habitat protection, but the company's environmental record means the project is likely to face stiff opposition from conservation groups.
