I think anyone with an Amazon Prime Video subscription probably understands that Alan Ritchson is jacked, whether or not they watched Reacher Season 4. The man is splashed all over the home screen on the streamer between his various movies and his very popular TV show. He's a big, fit guy, and as a gym girlie myself, I know this takes dedication and diligence. I just didn't realize the "high high volume" of reps he was putting in.
Ritchson recently sat down with Thomas DeLauer Podcast, and explain his strategy for staying swole. Some of this involves eating right and throwing in a lot of HIIT cardio with sprints and the Stairmaster, the latter of which does not always go over so well. Some of this is because he literally likes to do four sets at 25 reps of a given exercise.
Gym newbies are often taught to do three sets of eight for each exercise, and maybe push to nine or 10 before going up a plate or free weight. People who are more intermediate or advanced often throw in extra sets or increase reps at a lower weight to keep things interesting, so it's not like a giant surprise Alan Ritchson might do longer rep sets. BUT 100 reps for one exercise is a lot.

Reacher actor Alan Ritchson and his wife Catherine have announced they are breaking up after two decades of marriage.
"After twenty years together, Cat and I have decided to end our marriage and continue alongside one another in a different way," the pair announced in a Sept. 12 Instagram post. "We grew up together. We built a life and family together. And we are raising three incredible boys who will always be the center of our world."

Mel Gibson has issued an apology for his behavior during a public event amid mounting backlash. During his recent appearance at FanExpo Canada, Gibson mocked an ASL interpreter as he walked onto the stage for his retrospective Q&A. The video quickly went viral online. Users called out Gibson for his insensitive behaviour, for which Gibson has since issued an apology.
The moment, as caught on camera, saw Mel Gibson enter the spotlight on stage and begin making gibberish symbols with his hands, with the ASL interpreter standing right in front of him, with his back to her. The moment was brief, but fans found it to be in poor taste anyway.
Regarding the moment, Gibson said, "Sometimes when you get pushed out on a stage in a spotlight, your mind is all over the place, and sometimes spontaneous thoughtless idiocy is displayed. There was no intended maliciousness attached, and I certainly apologize to anyone who was upset by it."
FanExpo Canada is an annual event that is a hub for pop culture media enthusiasts. Be it films, shows, anime, gaming, or celebrities, the Expo serves as the biggest event of its kind in Canada, and the third biggest in the continent of North America. The event draws celebs and fans alike, allowing the latter to attend signings and photo opportunities.
The organizers of the event have not issued a statement regarding Mel Gibson's actions. However, fans were quick to contrast his behaviour with that of Reacher star Alan Ritchson, who shook hands with the ASL interpreter once his QnA session concluded. Other celebrities that graced the event included nerd culture legends like Mark Hamill, wrestler-turned-actor John Cena, and Mr. T.

Mel Gibson has issued an apology amid backlash over his recent appearance at FanExpo Canada.
At the event, the Oscar-winner was caught on camera mocking an ASL interpreter as her prepared to commence a Q&A. Video of the incident was widely circulated on social media platforms, with Gibson condemned for his insensitive actions.
"Sometimes when you get pushed out on a stage in a spotlight your mind is all over the place, and sometimes spontaneous thoughtless idiocy is displayed," Gibson said in a statement to Variety.
"There was no intended maliciousness attached, and I certainly apologise to anyone who was upset by it."
Gibson's actions have been contrasted with those of Reacher star Alan Ritchson at the same event, who was praised for shaking the hand of the interpreter after his own Q&A wrapped.
FanExpo Canada is held annually and is billed as "the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event in Canada and the third-largest Pop Culture event in North America". Gibson's appearance at this year's expo took place on Saturday and included autograph and photo opportunities for fans.

Hollywood has decided motorcycle racing is the next thing to monetize, and the first swing at it is not the reverent documentary the paddock probably expected. It's a caper.
The project surfaced not through a studio press release but through the actor himself. Alan Ritchson, appearing on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast in late July, said flatly: "I got the rights to MotoGP. I love motorcycles." He went on to describe wanting to build something international and Fast & Furious-shaped around premier-class racing, and said he'd already started riding preparation with the intent of handling his own work on camera. Everything since — the streamer, the writer, the plot mechanics — has come from trade reporting rather than any confirmed announcement, so treat the details as provisional until someone official puts their name on it.
What isn't provisional is why a streamer would say yes. Ritchson's War Machine climbed to No. 9 on Netflix's all-time most-popular film list with 139.9 million views inside its 91-day counting window. That's the kind of number that buys an actor a first-look deal and the ability to walk in the door with a passion project attached.
MotoGP changed hands last year. Liberty Media completed its acquisition of Dorna Sports on July 3, 2025, folding the championship into the same Formula One Group that owns F1 and Quint. Anyone who watched what Liberty did with Formula 1 — the docuseries, the American race expansion, the feature film — can see the playbook being run again with a different set of wheels.

Alan Ritchson is drawing fire from Fox News after slamming the president. A war of words has broken out between a popular action star and one of cable news's sharpest personalities. After the actor unloaded on the president during a podcast, a Fox host devoted airtime to picking apart his mindset. The exchange is now fueling debate over politics, celebrity, and where the two collide.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld responded to Reacher star Alan Ritchson's criticism of President Donald Trump by claiming the actor is being "eaten alive" by resentment. On an episode of The Five, he broke down Ritchson's state of mind after the star's fiery podcast appearance.
The Alan Ritchson Trump comments came on the Monday, July 27, episode of Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast, where Ritchson criticized Trump over the Jeffrey Epstein files and other issues.
Gutfeld tried to frame the remarks as having "nothing to do with politics," adding that the Reacher star "wasn't joking." He argued, "It says absolutely nothing about Donald Trump, but it says too much about him."
The Fox News Alan Ritchson segment saw the host steer the conversation away from partisanship. He likened the actor's alleged resentment to "taking a poison and waiting for the other person to die," calling it a "powerful contrast" for someone so physically fit. He also mocked that "no amount of squats and bench presses" would fix it.
