Patrick Clancy, the father of three young children strangled inside their Massachusetts home, became the first witness Monday in his ex-wife's murder trial, offering jurors a harrowing account of the mental health decline he witnessed before their deaths.
He was the first witness called in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, who faces murder charges in the deaths of the couple's three children in January 2023. Prosecutors argue she acted deliberately, while defense attorneys contend severe mental illness drove her actions.
Patrick described watching his then-wife fall into a "big spiral" after she began taking Seroquel, testifying that she lost weight, became severely depressed and began expressing suicidal thoughts.
"Awful," he said when asked how Lindsay was doing physically after starting the medication. "That was really where her big spiral started. She started to lose a lot of weight, and she became very depressed, and she was having a really hard time."

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville said Wednesday that while he takes no joy in the late Senator Lindsay Graham's death, he will remember his career as one of "duplicity."
"Let's give him all the credit in the world. He was one of the [Bill Clinton] impeachment managers. Remember the great moral ***** an Henry Hyde and that whole crowd. And yeah, he was a little bit more than just for impeachment. He was the most aggressive," Carville said.
"I knew him. He could be personable, but I don't think the man has had a... sorry, I don't want anybody to get sick or die, that's not it," Carville said. "But I think his political career is mostly defined by duplicity. Just my own view."

Former Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay has high expectations for the team following their appearance in the AFC Championship game in 2025. However, oddsmakers currently are not looking highly on the Broncos as Super Bowl contenders, as 11 teams have better odds than Denver to win it all this season.
"BB, that's disrespectful, man; that's straight disrespect from the oddsmakers there," Lindsay said on Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan. "And I understand why. You had a bunch of one-point games that you win. You say, 'Hey, they're not going to do that again.' If they're in these tight games, it's not gonna always be where the Denver Broncos pull it out and they win. And Bo Nix has that magic like Tim Tebow used to have.
"But also, it's like for the oddsmakers, what are you looking at? This team is well-put together. This team is back and you have a lot of the same players; actually pretty much every player that was there last year is back. And then you added Jaylen Waddle to the mix, who's this dynamic weapon that's explosive... (with everyone returning) the Denver Broncos should be the favorite to win the ***** Super Bowl!"

Thursday's ticker-tape parade for the new NBA champions will be a first. When the team won the **** le before, in 1970 and ‘73, they weren't honored with New York's signature procession.
Why not? There's no one definitive explanation. But there is some informative context: The '70s wins came at a time when then-Mayor John Lindsay had reined in the confetti-tossing spectacles. He celebrated the Knicks at the mayoral mansion and then City Hall — august settings, for sure, but not the fabled trip through lower Broadway’s “Canyon of Heroes.”
If there's pent-up demand for a Knicks parade, current Mayor Zohran Mamdani seems determined to meet it. He has predicted that Thursday’s celebration might be “the largest parade in New York City history.”
“There will be performances, there will be New Yorkers, there will be the team and there will be history,” the mayor, a Democrat, said Monday while visiting a city facility that prepared temporary “Champions Way” signs for the parade route. The event is set to start at 10 a.m. Thursday near Battery Park and end at City Hall.
