Former Utah Jazz wing Johnny Juzang has left the NBA – at least, for now – and will continue his career in Turkey next season.
Juzang has signed with EuroLeague side Fenerbahce, whose name gets almost invariably attached to all fringe NBA players at some point, yet who have already officially announced this deal. It gives the 25-year-old swingman an opportunity to further establish himself overseas following four NBA seasons, three of which came with the Jazz – including by far his best one as a professional to date.

The writing has been on the wall at Parkhead for some time. Celtic are ready to listen to offers for Johnny Kenny this summer, with Millwall positioning themselves at the front of the queue. Sky Sports, via The72, confirmed that the Scottish champions won't stand in the striker's way if a decent bid comes in. Alex Neil wants the 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international at The Den, convinced he can hit the ground running straight away in the Championship.
The signing of Colombian attacker Camilo Duran from Qarabag effectively sealed Kenny's fate. Celtic originally paid Sligo Rovers £140,000 for the forward back in January 2022. Alan Nixon reports via his Patreon that a figure around £850,000 should get the deal done now. That represents a tidy profit on a player who never quite nailed down a starting spot.
Millwall aren't alone in their chase. Bolton Wanderers want him back permanently after his impressive loan spell last term. Kenny clicked quickly under Steven Schumacher, bagging six goals in 14 matches to help push Bolton towards promotion from League One before a knee issue cut his campaign short.
Add those figures to his Celtic return, and he managed 12 goals and two ******* ists across 36 total games in 2025/26. Four of those goals came in 22 Scottish Premiership matches for Celtic. Respectable enough for a squad member. Not enough to demand a starting shirt under Martin O'Neill. Publicly, O'Neill has noted that no final decision has been made on the Irishman's long-term future. Behind the scenes, sources suggest breaking into the first team this summer looks like a mountain too steep to climb.
Taking £850,000 for a squad player isn't defeatist. It is basic business. Celtic get a clean exit, pocket a profit, and free up ******* e on the wage bill for O'Neill to reinvest where it matters. Kenny gets the chance to kickstart his career somewhere he will actually play week in, week out.

Jul. 23—MENNO, S.D. — Parkston Post 194 punched its ticket to the Class B American Legion state tournament for the third consecutive season after defeating Platte/Geddes Post 115 by a score of 6-2 in the Region 4B championship game on Thursday.
With the victory, Parkston went a perfect 3-0 in the regional tournament and advanced to the state tournament scheduled for July 31 through Aug. 4 in Madison.
Parkston wasted little time taking the lead, scoring in the top of the first inning when Grady Bowar delivered an RBI single that plated Mason Jervik for a 1-0 advantage. Platte/Geddes answered in the bottom of the second, pushing across a run to even the game at 1-1.
Post 194 regained the lead with a run in the third inning before breaking the game open in the fifth. Parkston scored three times in the frame to build a comfortable 5-1 cushion and put the WhiteCaps on their heels. P/G scratched across its final run in the bottom of the sixth to trim the deficit, but Parkston responded in the seventh with a sacrifice fly to right field for an insurance run and a 6-2 lead.
Kash Neugebauer turned in a strong outing on the mound, pitching six innings while allowing just three hits and two runs. Johnny Weber took over in relief and retired the side in the seventh to secure the regional championship and send Parkston back to the state tournament.

Johnny Fisher has become the latest fighter to join Zuffa Boxing, splitting from Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom to sign with the rival promotion.
Fisher has a cult following in London and Essex, and he had become one of Hearn’s biggest stars over the last three years, helped in part by the reach of his father “Big John”, a social-media sensation.
Fisher’s popularity has come in spit of his patchy recent form, however. The 27-year-old won a controversial decision over Dave Allen in late 2024, before suffering a fifth-round stoppage in their rematch last May, and even his comeback win – a fourth-round TKO of Ivan Balaz in December – saw Fisher hurt in the first round.
Perhaps Zuffa is trying to capitalise on Fisher’s popularity, in any case, or maybe this signing is another attempt to get one up on Matchroom.
After Zuffa launched in January, it signed Matchroom’s longtime fighter Conor Benn in February, with the British welterweight leaving Hearn despite the promoter’s support over a two-year saga that stemmed from Benn failing two drug tests.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a productive loan spell at Bolton during the previous campaign, scoring six goals and contributing several ***** ists in 14 appearances before a knee injury brought his season to an early end. Despite that setback, the League One promotion winners are understood to be keen on signing him permanently.
However, journalist Alan Nixon reports that Championship rivals Millwall have now entered the picture, with the London club expressing interest in a deal. Celtic could reportedly consider offers in the region of £850,000 for the Republic of Ireland attacker.
Speaking recently, Martin O’Neill admitted Kenny’s long-term future has yet to be decided as the striker continues his recovery from injury during pre-season.
The Celtic boss said: “Johnny’s here at this minute. He’s got another three or four weeks before he’s fit. Like everything else, you’re waiting around for things to happen.

Tom Kim captured the biggest victory of his PGA Tour career Sunday, winning the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland.
With weather delays forcing part of the field to complete the third round Sunday morning, players faced a busy final day before Kim emerged atop the leaderboard.
The 24-year-old fired a bogey-free, 6-under 64 in the final round to finish at 17-under for the tournament, securing his fourth PGA Tour victory. Kim made just one bogey over the weekend as he continued his return to top form.
After finishing 108th in the FedEx Cup standings last season, Kim has enjoyed a strong resurgence in 2026 and now sits 32nd in the standings heading into next week's final major championship.
Min Woo Lee finished alone in second place at 15-under. Keita Nakajima, Johnny Keefer, Matt Fitzpatrick and Robert MacIntyre tied for third at 13-under.

Warrenton High School graduate Jacob Morrow is a classic case of hard work pays off.
The 24 year old was a versatile athlete at Warrenton excelling in football, basketball and baseball. Though Morrow was a three-sport athlete, like many of the high schoolers in Clatsop County, his best sport was baseball.
Morrow made the Warrenton varsity baseball team as a freshman and was a two-time all-state player his sophomore and junior years. Due to Morrow graduating in 2020, he missed out on much of his senior year due to the pandemic.
After graduating from Warrenton, he went on to attend Linn Benton Community College in Albany, then finished up his college career at Washington State University. Much like in his high school days, Morrow was a standout in baseball at both Linn Benton and WSU. He spent two years as a starter on a very competitive Linn Benton roster, before being named to the Buster Posey watch list his senior year as a Cougar. The Buster Posey Award, formerly known as the Johnny Bench Award, was created in 2000 to honor college baseball's top catcher in the National Collegiate Athletic ***** ociation's Division I. The award was renamed in 2019 after Johnny Bench announced the creation of his own national award for amateur catchers. The commission renamed it after Buster Posey and schools nominate their catchers during the season to create the official watch list.
Upon graduating from college in 2024, Morrow took his talents to Cleburne, Texas and the Independent League. Center Rienk Mast posted 16 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Taevion Kinsey added 16 points to lead the Pacers to a 99-93 win over the Cavaliers at the Pavilion in Las Vegas on Friday in the first NBA Summer League game of the season for both teams.
Forward Jalen Slawson added 15 points, six rebounds, five ***** ists and five blocks for the Pacers. Guard Taelon Peter scored 13 points and forward Keion Brooks Jr. added 11. Guard Meleek Thomas and forward Nae'Qwan Tomlin led the Cavaliers with 20 points each. Guard Malakhi Branham added 15 points.
The Pacers and Cavs both had a brutal first quarter with evident jitters as both struggled to make shots and take care of the basketball. Cleveland led 14-11 after the first quarter as the Pacers got a few buckets from center Rienk Mast but little else.
But the the Pacers combined for 64 points in the middle two quarters, outscoring Cleveland 32-15 in the third to take a sizable lead heading into the fourth. A big part of what sparked the revival was the play of point guards Braden Smith and Yuki Kawamura, and the fact that the Pacers didn't have a problem putting both on the floor at the same time. That obviously made them small in the backcourt as Smith is just 5 foot 10 and Kawamura is 5-7, but they're both so good at passing the ball and getting it ahead that they made the pace of the game work for them.
Smith finished with just five points on 1 of 8 shooting including 1 of 5 from 3 but he had eight rebounds, four ***** ists and three steals. Kawamura had eight points on 3 of 5 shooting and four ***** ists, but their impacts went beyond just the counting stats as they raised the level for everyone else on the floor. As ***** istant coach Johnny Carpenter said about Kawamura before leaving for his job in Milwaukee, Kawamura and Smith both force everyone around them to move more when they're on the floor and them being around got everyone else organized and also running hard up and down the floor looking for opportunities. Kawamura was plus-4 in his time on the floor though Smith was minus-5.

The Philadelphia Eagles enter training camp with a tight end room led by one of the most accomplished players on the roster and surrounded by one of the more interesting depth battles on offense.
Dallas Goedert remains the headliner. He is still the Eagles' most complete tight end, one of Jalen Hurts' most trusted targets, and a valuable piece of Philadelphia's offensive identity. His ability to win in the passing game while also contributing as a blocker gives the Eagles a dependable veteran at a position where reliability matters.
The intrigue begins behind him.
Grant Calcaterra returns with experience in the system. Johnny Mundt brings veteran toughness and blocking value. Stone Smartt gives Philadelphia an athletic option with pass-catching upside. Cameron Latu, E.J. Jenkins, Eli Stowers, and Dae'Quan Wright all enter camp trying to prove they can force their way into the conversation.
The Eagles do not need every tight end to become a star. They need clarity. They need a reliable second option, dependable depth, special teams value, and perhaps one young player who can become part of the offense's future.

It wouldn't be a day ending in "y" without a Braves roster move:
Hurston Waldrep's ongoing recovery has had quite a few twists and turns. Following a pseudo-breakout late last year, after the Braves were out of it and had little to play for other than trying to garner the kind of major league development that Waldrep largely showed (a 68 ERA-, 79 FIP-, and 89 xFIP- in 56 1/3 innings, good for 1.2 fWAR), the right-hander hit the shelf with recovery from an elbow cleanup, and made just a handful of rehab-ish outings in the minors before the Braves promoted him.
His first outing of 2026 was rough with a 3/4 K/BB ratio in two innings of relief, but he and the defense somehow kept the runs off the board. Waldrep then had his first start back, which had a fine enough 4/1 K/BB ratio in five innings… except that it involved a hit-by-pitch and a three-run homer, putting the Braves in a 3-0 hole early. And then, there was his disaster in Pittsburgh, where he hung multiple breaking pitches to Ryan O'Hearn in a blowout loss.
So, the Braves will welcome back Tyler Kinley from his time actively playing papa and go with a somewhat bulkier bullpen for a while.
Mark Bowman reports that the Braves plan to have JR Ritchie start on Sunday. Ritchie's rookie season is not going particularly well (108/130/116) and he's been used as a multi-inning-ish reliever fill-in so far in July, but he'll get another shot to improve this weekend. Personally, I'm not really sure that "Waldrep being really bad on balance after three outings" is markedly worse for the team's immediate-term outlook than "Ritchie being sub-replacement on balance after ten outings," but my hope is that the Braves can go Johnny Wholestaff in that game anyway and not have to worry about which of their young arms potentially implodes either way.

Atlético de Madrid and Sporting Clube de Portugal have struck an agreement over the Lisbon side's captain Morten Hjulmand, according to reports in Spain and Portugal.
Rubén Uría was the first to report that Denmark international Hjulmand will arrive in a €40 million transfer, with Sporting able to secure another €5 million based on the amount of games Hjulmand plays, in addition to how far Atleti progress in the UEFA Champions League. The player last week signed off on a five-year contract to 2031, and he arrived in Madrid on Thursday to undergo a medical; his signing should be announced before Atleti's preseason training camp begins on Monday.
Hjulmand will take a big leap in his career following spells in Austria (with Admira Wacker) and Italy (Lecce) as well as Portugal, where he won two league ******* les with Sporting and helped the Leões reach the Champions League quarterfinals in 2025/26. The 27-year-old scored three goals and provided four ******* ists across 27 appearances in the Primeira Liga last season.
Hjulmand is regarded as a superb positional midfielder, a pivot with good ball progression and a strong stride that helps him cover ground and recover the ball at a high rate. His traits complement both Pablo Barrios and Johnny Cardoso, and he should offer Diego Simeone a genuine alternative to his long-serving captain Koke, who last week renewed his contract for one more season. Hjulmand has suffered only a few injuries in his career
Hjulmand will need to adjust to the faster pace of LaLiga relative to the Primeira Liga, and his proclivity for picking up yellow cards could limit his effectiveness. He was booked 40 times in 114 league appearances for Sporting (though he received just one red card) and ended last season with 14 yellows across 37 appearances in the league and the Champions League. Hjulmand will have to be more careful in Spain, knowing how referees here love to make the game about themselves.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The bat flip that won a Dominican championship in January 2025 went viral. Future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols has called him the future of the sport. He hit 45 home runs in his age-21 season and came up just one shy of a franchise record.
All that did not go to Junior Caminero’s head. Instead it taught him to keep things smaller.
“I feel more humble,” the Tampa Bay Rays’ slugger said before Tuesday night’s game against the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field. “The more I play, the more I learn, the more I feel humble.”
That must be getting hard as Caminero is emerging as the face of an organization that has hunted for a face for decades. He has earned his second All-Star nod and is heading into the Home Run Derby Monday night for the second straight year (he finished second in 2025).
The native of the Dominican Republic hit 78 home runs before he turned 23 on July 5, and last year’s 45 homers were the second most any hitter has ever hit in an age-21 season, behind only Eddie Mathews’ 47 in 1953. He's one of five players in history to finish a 45-homer season before turning 23, joining Mathews, Johnny Bench, Joe DiMaggio and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Three are in the Hall of Fame. The other is still playing.

INDIANAPOLIS — Johnny Carpenter has seen what this looks like up close.
He's seen the vision, the no-look, behind-the-back passes, the dazzling handle and the tenacious on-the-ball defense. He's seen the way a 5-foot-7 point guard who also happens to be a national hero in his homeland can engage and embolden a team of much larger men and electrify arenas.
"I got to experience Yukimania," Carpenter, Pacers ******* istant coach and head coach of their NBA Summer League team, said after practice Tuesday.
Indeed, Carpenter was an ******* istant coach on the Memphis Grizzlies staff in the 2024-25 season when Pacers Summer League point guard Yuki Kawamura played his first season in the United States after displaying his magic on the international stage in the 2024 Olympics in Paris with ******* an. The ******* anese went 0-3 in group play but they took Victor Wembanyama and eventual silver medalist France to overtime and Kawamura was a big reason why. In those three games he averaged 20.3 points and 7.7 ******* ists per game and he posted 29 points, seven rebounds and six ******* ists against France in a game when the opposing superstar was nearly 2 feet taller than him.
Less than a month after the Olympics ended, Kawamura signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Grizzlies. During training camp, they converted it to a two-way deal. He played just 93 NBA minutes as a rookie, but fans still pleaded for him to get on the floor because he was so productive when he was there, averaging 13.9 points and 7.4 ******* ists per 36 minutes. Meanwhile in the G League with the Memphis Hustle, he averaged 12.7 points and 8.4 highlight-reel level ******* ists per game.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — ittsburgh Pirates first baseman Ryan O’Hearn made history on Tuesday night, setting a club record by driving in 10 runs on three homers in a 12-4 win over Atlanta.
O’Hearn hit a grand slam off Atlanta starter Hurston Waldrep in the first, added a three-run shot off Waldrep in the third and took Braves reliever Connor Thomas deep with another three-run shot in the sixth.
O’Hearn’s big night broke the franchise record of nine RBIs set by Johnny Rizzo against St. Louis on May 30, 1939. The 10 RBIs by O’Hearn — who signed a multi-year free agent deal to join the Pirates in the offseason — also marked the most in the majors by a player this year.
O’Hearn missed a chance to join the exclusive four-homer club when he singled in the ninth.
An All-Star last season while splitting time between Baltimore and San Diego, O’Hearn also became the 16th player in Pittsburgh’s 145-year history to hit three homers in a game.

The Kansas City Royals' Tyler Tolbert won't being playing in the Midsummer Classic next week, but the young utility player is having a long weekend to remember.
In the seventh inning against the Mets, Tolbert hit an infield single — his second in as many at-bats — to move to 5-for-5 on the night. But, even more impressively, he hit another high water mark: 12-for-12 in his last 12 plate appearances.

Tolbert is the fifth player to have 12 hits in 12 at-bats and just the third to have 12 hits in 12 plate appearances. He joins Johnny Kling in 1902, Pinky Higgins in 1938, Walt Dropo in 1952, and Jose Miranda in 2024 in the former category. NEW YORK (AP) — Tyler Tolbert of the Kansas City Royals tied a major league record with hits in 12 consecutive plate appearances, reaching the mark with an infield single against the New York Mets for his fifth hit Tuesday night.
Tolbert matched the record set by Chicago’s Johnny Kling in 1902 and equaled by Walt Dropo of the Detroit Tigers in 1952.
The second-year player grinned as he walked back to first base following the record-tying hit. The Citi Field scoreboard flashed a graphic noting his accomplishment.
Batting ninth, the right fielder hit a two-run homer in the second inning and singled in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh. Tolbert’s last three hits were infield hits.
Tolbert went 2 for 2 on Saturday night against Philadelphia before being lifted for a pinch-hitter. He then started at shortstop on Monday and went 5 for 5 with a homer, his first of the season.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Ryan O'Hearn hit three home runs and finished with a franchise-record 10 RBIs as the Pittsburgh Pirates drilled the Atlanta Braves 12-4 on Tuesday night.
The first baseman, the rare free agent to sign a multiyear deal with the Pirates, made it easy for ace Paul Skenes (7-8) to pick up his first win in nearly two months as Pittsburgh won its third straight.
The left-handed slugger hit his third career grand slam off Atlanta's Hurston Waldrep (0-1) in the first, took Waldrep deep again for a three-run shot in the third and broke Johnny Rizzo's 87-year-old franchise record for RBIs in a game by adding another three-run blast against reliever Connor Thomas in the sixth.
O'Hearn's bid to become the 22nd player in major league history to hit four homers in a game ended when he singled off Atlanta infielder Jorge Mateo — making his third career appearance in relief — in the ninth. O'Hearn instead settled for being the 11th player since the RBI became an official statistic in 1920 to hit three homers and drive in 10 runs in a game. Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani was the last player to do it in 2024 against Miami.
O'Hearn's historic night gave the Pirates a welcome boost on the same day the club lost star rookie Konnor Griffin for at least two months with a left-hand injury.

Northwestern’s offseason activity has been characterized by a complete overhaul of the offense. By hiring legendary ex-Oregon coach Chip Kelly as the offensive coordinator, the Wildcats are aiming to revitalize an air offense that averaged the fourth-lowest passing yards per game in the Big Ten. The key to improving a struggling, often turgid air offense was grabbing former Michigan State starter Aidan Chiles out of the transfer portal.

I just can’t wait until the end of the season to do the final ****** ysis of the San Francisco Giants/Farhan Zaidi opting not to sign Kevin Gausman to an extension after the 2021 season. With the trade deadline less than a month away now and Robbie Ray almost certainly on the move, it’s begging to be written right now.
The history of the Giants getting burned by long-term pitching contracts is pretty spectacular. I don’t know what moron opted to sign Barry Zito to that 7-year deal after the 2003 season, and if it was Larry Baer, it just goes to show what an untouchable and blessed man he is. But after that, extensions for Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain didn’t provide value in the actual extension years. The Jeff Samardzija and Johnny Cueto deals were similarly hailed as massive failures that doomed the franchise. So, that’s a pretty good sampling of failure, which ignores the context of all the success.
That’s pretty much what happened with Gausman. The Giants ignored the context of success or that the player wanted to remain in San Francisco or that he worked well with a burgeoning young pitcher already in the fold in Logan Webb. A couple of years later, Farhan Zaidi would be able to show his work and convince ownership that signing Webb to an extension in a similar AAV range as Gausman would be good for the team and they acquiesced… but they’ve still bothered to let their disgruntlement echo through the halls of Oracle Park and into the curious ears of beat writers and pundits. It is known that the Giants don’t favor, value, or want pitchers signed to big, long-term deals. It’s why they were willing to let Madison ****** garner walk after his deal.
When you’re the sole team in a country as the Blue Jays are in Canada, it’s not a big deal.
This isn’t to say that the Giants totally have the wrong idea and high value, high payroll teams like the Blue Jays do, but before we look at Kevin Gausman and his Blue Jays teammates, let’s finish this ****** ysis. Kevin Gausman left the Giants and signed a 5-year, $110 million deal with the Toronto Blue Jays that started in 2022. Long-running rumors surrounding Cara Delevingne, Amber Heard, and Johnny Depp have finally been addressed by one of the people at the center of the speculation. During a candid appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Delevingne confirmed that she and Heard became romantically involved after Heard and Depp separated, saying their relationship began while Heard's highly publicized divorce was unfolding.
The topic surfaced when host Louis Theroux brought up years of reports that Depp had been suspicious of Heard's friendship with Delevingne during the filming of London Fields. Theroux noted that Depp had reportedly been "driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you." Delevingne pushed back on the timing, explaining, "It's because we did a movie together, and it was called London Fields. He was also doing the movie. I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy. The Houston Rockets have had players donning a total of 52 different jersey numbers (and have one not part of any numerical series for Houston ***** istant coach and general manager Carroll Dawson) since their founding at the start of the 1967-68 season, worn by just under 500 players in the course of Rockets history.

And for today's article, we will continue with the first of 16 who wore the No. 21, guard alum Johnny Egan. After ending his college career at Providence, Egan was picked up with the 17th overall selection of the 1961 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons.
The Hartford, Connecticut native played the first three seasons of his pro career with Detroit. He also played for the New York Knicks, (then) Baltimore Bullets (now, Washington Wizards), Los Angeles Lakers, and Cleveland Cavaliers before he was dealt to the (then) San Diego (now, Houston) Rockets for the final two seasons of his career in 1970.
