Jake Paul wants Nate Diaz to be his opponent when "El Gallo" makes his cagefighting debut under the new MVP-PFL banner in early 2027. Probably because Diaz is 41 and held together by duct tape and Popsicle sticks. In addition, Paul already whooped Diaz in their DAZN boxing match in Dallas.
Paul's MMA debut was also "official" back in 2023 and never came to fruition.
"I've been talking about MMA and doing it for a long time, but it's official," Paul said in a social media video. "Now with this new partnership, I'm going to get into the cage. Nate Diaz, stop ducking. We need to make this happen for sports, to change the world, to change the history, and the landscape of combat sports forever. But don't worry, I am still boxing. Everyone's asking me, 'Jake, when are you coming back?' And it is as soon as possible. We are in contract talks and negotiations with multiple opponents, so it's time to box, and then kick Nate Diaz's ******* in MMA."
Diaz already turned down a $15 million offer to fight Paul in summer 2024.
Paul, 29, helped MVP merge with PFL for a combat sports entity that will allow fighters to box and fight MMA under the same banner. The new-look promotion does not yet have a TV or streaming deal in place but is expected to make an announcement on that front in the coming weeks, if not sooner.

I hope you will forgive me for being sentimental, over the top even. I write this going through some real life struggles. I write this with back to back Sky Sports documentaries about Kevin Keegan and The Entertainers on in the background.
I write this struggling to understand my feelings about Eddie Howe going and the current state of Newcastle United. I write this as a man getting older, and feeling it.
I didn't know how I felt when my daughter broke the news that Eddie Howe was gone. My first words were "oh you're joking", so on reflection I was probably gutted.
I admit to growing frustrated at what I perceived to be a stagnant team falling behind, due to a manager who stubbornly stook to his system despite its apparent failings. But I still viewed Howe in the same company as King Kev and Sir Bobby, the only three managers in my lifetime that I have truly loved.
The memories of the last five years will remain with me forever. Eddie Howe's black and white army gave something to me and my daughter which brought us back together, my daughter who was being taken from me by teenage, by boyfriend, by growing up. My eternal thanks to the man for that.

NEW DELHI: Former India captain Ajinkya Rahane has announced his retirement from international cricket.

Rahane shared the news through a post on Instagram, where he uploaded a video message with the caption: "Cap 278 signing off".

"Thank you for all the love and support over the years. Forever grateful," Rahane wrote in his post.

"The reality of life is that everything has a beginning and everything has an end. When the time comes, you simply have to respect it and move forward. I have always relied on timing in my batting and have always understood its importance," Rahane said.

"Today, I feel the timing is right for me to move on and announce my retirement from international cricket and all formats. From those early days, travelling as a young boy just to practice, I gave this game everything I had. Every single day, every innings, every opportunity I got to bat, the dream was always to wear the India cap," he added.

"I lived by one simple rule. Always put my country and my team ahead of myself. I played this game with complete honesty and I have always believed that if your intent is right, the game will always take care of you," the veteran cricketer said.

"Since the time I made my debut as a first-class cricketer, Indian cricket has grown tremendously and I feel so proud to have been a part of it over the last 20 years. While my chapter as an Indian cricketer comes to an end, my journey with the game doesn't. I look forward to helping the next generation, sharing the values this sport has taught me and giving back to the game that has given me everything," he said.

Rahane also thanked the BCCI, Mumbai Cricket ***** ociation (MCA), his teammates, coaches, IPL franchises, family, friends and fans for their support throughout his career.
"And a very special thank you to all the cricket fans who supported me through every high and low. Ajinkya means unbeatable, but cricket has shown me defeat many times. As cricketers, we fail more often than we succeed. My team has lost matches. I have made mistakes, but there is one place where I was never defeated. And that was in your hearts. Thank you for your love, your faith and your support. Cap number 278, signing off," Rahane concluded

The 36-year-old represented India in all three formats during his international career. He played 85 Test matches, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is.

The right-handed batter scored 5,077 runs in Tests at 38.46 with 12 centuries and 26 fifties, while in 90 ODIs, he made 2,962 runs at 35.26 including three tons and 24 fifties. In 20 T20Is, Rahane made 375 runs.
132729500
Rahane's biggest moment came in 2021 when he famously stood in for regular skipper Virat Kohli as a heavily depleted India defeated Australia in their own backyard 2-1.

O'Keeffe Stevens Advisory, an investment advisory firm, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. During Q2 2026, the market experienced notable dispersion between perceived AI losers and winners. The firm has made investments early in AI infrastructure companies, which yielded gains during market repricing. The second quarter experienced strong equity rallies, with the S&P 500 gaining 15.2% and the Nasdaq 21.4%, marking the best quarter since Q2 2020. While the software sector faced challenges, with the iShares Software ETF dropping ~27% before a rally, reflecting high volatility. This volatility is seen as an opportunity, despite the potential for 'dead money' in underperforming stocks. The firm remains cautious, focuses on owning durable businesses at reasonable prices, holding cash, and hedging risks to navigate unpredictability. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, O'Keeffe Stevens Advisory highlighted Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE:SPHR). Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE:SPHR) is a US-based live entertainment and media company. On July 27, 2026, Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE:SPHR) closed at $139.95 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $5.01 billion. Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE:SPHR) posted a one-month return of -19.12%, while its shares gained 227.98% over the past 52 weeks.
O'Keeffe Stevens Advisory stated the following regarding Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE:SPHR) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"During the quarter, Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE:SPHR) continued its strong performance as the market realizes the strong underlying unit economics, in the face of weaker Las Vegas Strip attendance. Continued success in Vegas makes selling future Spheres easier. Sphere Abu Dhabi remains on track, which, given the ongoing war, was a concern. Finally, Sphere announced a new immersive experience, "Rocky Horror Picture," which should add incremental, high-margin shows to the slate, increasing utilization. While the Sphere story has largely played out (at least episode 1), we are inclined to let an N=1 ***** et the leeway to become a large position even though the valuation is much diXerent today. Great ***** ets and management teams oVen have longer right tails than one may initially underwrite. While most believe Vegas is forever in decline, visitation trends were positive y/y in May and represented the 3rd month of the year with positive y/y growth. Visitation and comps are substantially easier, concerts continue to perform well, and new Qlms should drive visitation and revisitation at strong rates, even with The Wizard of Oz coming up to its Qrst anniversary. While the Sphere show slate is nearing the optimal/maximum number of shows per year, the exosphere is an incremental high-margin opportunity that will become an important revenue driver."

Derek Hough's wife, Hayley Erbert, is feeling love from fans after announcing a devastating family loss.
In a Tuesday, July 28, Instagram post, the former Dancing With the Stars troupe member revealed that her stepfather, Jim, had passed away several days prior. "It has been a week since Jim left us earth side, a week since his beautiful soul was set free," Erbert wrote. "He was the best bonus dad there was, even though 'bonus' will never be a big enough word. He showed me that being a dad isn't about biology. It's about showing up. It's about consistency, patience, protection, and love."
Erbert said she was "so lucky" to have her stepfather in her life, describing him as "one of those rare people who made the world feel gentler just by being in it." She added, "Selfless in every sense, his kindness showed in everything he did, his calm made everyone feel safe, and his quiet humor was there for anyone paying close enough attention. To know him was to love him."
Referring to her and Hough's 7-month-old daughter, Erbert continued, "Everley didn't have nearly as much time with him as any of us wish she could've, but she now has the best guardian angel." She concluded the tribute by writing, "I will love you forever, Jim. And I will miss you even more."

A proposal that could reshape the commercial future of the World Cup has sparked fierce opposition from European football's governing bodies, politicians and supporters.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino unveiled plans this week to create a $20 billion (€17.5 billion) company to run the World Cup with private investors, including Joshua Kushner, the brother of Jared Kushner and linked to the Trump family through his sister-in-law Ivanka Trump, the daughter of US President Donald Trump.
The proposed commercial subsidiary, FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), would oversee competitions including the World Cup and Club World Cup, as first reported by_The Times of London_, which football experts say could change the nature of the competition forever.
The plan has sparked backlash from European football fans, politicians and federations, who accuse the move of being a sellout. Infantino has set a September deadline for the proposal, while UEFA vows to sink the plans. Euronews brings you the reaction:
UEFA was among the first organisations to condemn the proposal. European football's governing body made clear that football is not for sale, warning against turning the sport into a commercial ******* et.

We gave you our updated power rankings for the NBA's Eastern Conference, where LeBron James formed a superteam on the Philadelphia 76ers, where Kawhi Leonard will presumably join the Toronto Raptors, and where Giannis Antetokounmpo changed uniforms, but what kind of operation would we be if we didn't also give you power rankings for the Western Conference?
So, here they are in all their glory. Perfect and inarguable, as always.
We should note: The East is far deeper than the West for the first time in forever, though the West boasts the league's two ******* le favorites, the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
The defending champion New York Knicks and LeBron's Sixers, among other teams in the East, may have something to say about it in the end, but the depth and youth of the talent in OKC and San Antonio is impossible to ignore. Those two rosters are in a stratosphere all to themselves.
It would be surprising if any of the top six teams here failed to earn a guaranteed playoff spot. The Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves form another tier of contenders. Beyond them, it's a ******* shoot, as every team features quality players and only the Sacramento Kings are in real danger of dropping into the draft's relegation zone.

Minka Kelly and Dan Reynolds returned to Hollywood Forever Cemetery for their second Cinespia date night of the summer.
The Ransom Canyon actress and Imagine Dragons frontman attended the sold-out outdoor screening of Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands on Saturday, July 25.
They coordinated in white tops and jeans before settling onto the cemetery lawn for the movie. Photographs from the event showed Reynolds sitting close to Kelly with his arm around her as they relaxed on a blanket.
Kelly and Reynolds previously attended Cinespia's May screening of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Their return placed them alongside Rose Byrne, Rachel Bloom and married actors Liza Colón-Zayas and David Zayas.
Reynolds wore a fitted white T-shirt with relaxed blue jeans and brown slip-on shoes. Kelly matched him in a sleeveless white top and wide-leg jeans, removing her shoes after the couple reached their picnic setup.

A remark in Bret Bielema's introductory statement Tuesday at Big Ten Media Days lingered until he was asked about it. When the question arrived minutes later, he knew what he had done.
"Well, I think I just made the headline, right?"
Yes, but not only that — the sixth-year Illinois head coach also stoked the flames of a fiery debate about college football's most dominant conference.
While at the podium discussing the sport's ever-changing landscape, Bielema conveyed his excitement about the state of both his program and the game overall. Soon after that, he took a swing at the SEC, the conference he coached in for five seasons from 2013-17 as Arkansas' frontman.
"They kind of want to live in 2005 forever," he noted mid-sentence. That line followed Bielema touting the vision of Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti and acknowledging that his former commissioner, Greg Sankey, has to protect the SEC.

And all in four languages: Cerezo's Spanish coach answered in Spanish, Niko Kovac in German and English, and the ******* anese players in their native language. It was a multilingual affair in ******* an—yet one with a touch of home. Because as the four protagonists entered the room, "Heja BVB" blared over the loudspeakers.
The focus of attention was former Borussian player and current Cerezo player Shinji Kagawa, who had already faced BVB with his home club two years ago. "It's a great opportunity to play against Borussia Dortmund again—for me personally and also as the team. I want everyone—every fan, the Dortmund fans, the Osaka fans—to enjoy this game," said Kagawa, who was a player for Borussia Dortmund from 2010 to 2012 and from 2014 to 2019. But even seven years later, the connection hasn't been lost. "I'm very proud that the relationship continues, and I still think about the ******* les and memories from my time in Dortmund. The older I get, the more it means to me. The players and coaches I worked with will also remain in my heart forever. I really hope this relationship will continue."
"It's a pleasure for us to play against Shinji here because he's a former BVB player. That's certainly something special for all of us," emphasizes Niko Kovac, who also highlights the sporting significance of the match. "We're here to compete and prepare for our first competitive match against Bayern Munich. I hope everyone stays healthy, that we see a good game, and that the fans enjoy the match." Even though Osaka is already further along in his preseason preparation: "We're athletes. And athletes always want to win, whether it's a friendly, a cup match, or a competitive match."
For Takato Yamamoto, this match is a very special one, as he only joined BVB's U23 team a few weeks ago from his youth club and Cerezo's local rival, Gamba Osaka. "I really don't want to lose to Cerezo. I also want to show the fans in ******* an that I've grown as a player. That's my goal for tomorrow." Yamamoto was also asked about Kagawa, who was sitting next to him: "I know he's a legend. When people in Germany find out I'm from ******* an, they ask me, 'Do you know Shinji Kagawa?' Wherever I go, I hear his name."
After the joint press conference, the next reunion will take place on Wednesday on the soccer field. The match kicks off at 7 p.m. ******* an Standard Time (12 p.m. CEST) at Yanmar Hanasaka Stadium and will be broadcast live on BVB-TV, Sky, and DAZN.Christina Reinke

Next weekend, the Pro Football Hall of Fame welcomes the Class of 2026. This year, five NFL legends will be recognized for their accomplishments on the field as their stories become immortalized forever in Canton, Ohio. Off the field, another distinguished honoree will also be recognized. During the Enshrinees' Gold Jacket Dinner, Sandy Grossman will become the first television director to receive the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Grossman's recognition marks a historic first for the Hall. Over a broadcasting career that spanned more than five decades, he directed coverage of a record 10 Super Bowls, 18 NBA Finals, five Stanley Cup Finals and multiple Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies.
Grossman retired in 2012 and passed away in 2014 in Boca Raton, Florida, at the age of 78. Earlier this year, his son, Dean Grossman, received the call informing him that his father would finally receive one of football's highest honors.
"I got a text from Rich [Desrosiers] at the Hall asking if I was available to speak in about an hour. So, he called me along with Joe [Hawkins] and Jim [Porter]. I told them I had never been to the Hall of Fame before, and they told me I'm going to get on a plane this year because my father will be winning the Pete Rozelle Award," said Grossman. "It was very emotional. I hung up and started to cry."
Earning a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame is one of the most difficult accomplishments in football, whether as a player or broadcaster. The selection process for the Pete Rozelle Award is equally demanding. Candidates require an extensive case for consideration, and only one recipient earns the reward each year.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Friends and family of Minnesota Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman said the man sentenced Thursday to two life terms plus 40 years after pleading guilty to her murder failed to eliminate her legacy but caused enduring fear and fury as he changed their lives forever.
Fellow lawmakers and survivors of the shooting spoke Thursday at the sentencing hearing for Vance Boelter, the man who pleaded guilty last month to federal charges related to the killing of former House Speaker Hortman and her husband, Mark, as well as critically wounding state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.
Boelter, 59, agreed to plead guilty in June, almost a year after the Minneapolis-area attacks, so federal prosecutors would not seek the death penalty. Mark Hortman's father and siblings voiced anger that he could not be sentenced to death.
U.S. District Judge John R. Tunheim said it was "the longest sentence I have imposed after hearing thousands of cases over the years, but I do believe it is deserved."
In court Thursday, Sen. Hoffman said he and his family are constantly reminded of the extraordinary violence of that night, even in the mundane details of day-to-day life. He said they don't receive mail at home anymore, they have installed solid steel doors for protection, and they have changed how they do everyday tasks because of their injuries.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - JULY 17: Flavor Flav (C), Rhiannon Rae Ellis (2R) and Team USA members Alexandra Carpenter (L) and Hilary Knight (R) attend a private Team USA Athletes Only Dinner featuring top celebrity female chefs and hosted by Flavor Flav during Flavor Flav's SHE Weekend at the new Westoria Restaurant inside The Cosmopolitan on July 17, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic for ABA)
For years, the conversation surrounding women’s sports has centered on one word: equality. Flavor Flav is demonstrating another word leaders should consider: investment.
For many fans, Flavor Flav will forever be remembered as Public Enemy's energetic hype man, a 2013 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductee, the larger-than-life personality behind the iconic clock necklace, or the star of reality television's Flavor of Love.
But this past weekend, the Public Enemy co-founder brought more than one hundred Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalists from Team USA’s Women Olympic and Paralympic programs to Las Vegas for SHE Weekend—short for Sports, Hospitality and Entertainment— for a four-day celebration designed to give America’s female athletes something many had rarely experienced at this scale: a victory celebration built specifically around them. I went to experience it for myself, and it was incredible.
The weekend included a parade on the Las Vegas Strip, front-row seats to a private concert from Public Enemy, receiving keys to the Las Vegas Strip, and attendance to the Backstreet Boys’ Sphere residency, where Team USA Medal winners received an onstage acknowledgment. This was in addition to a slate of curated dinners and programming talks from executives across the spectrum.

Josh Hart suddenly remembers that he still has to play basketball for the New York Knicks.
The 2025-26 New York Knicks roster forever etched their name into franchise history after leading the team to the NBA Championship.
While Jalen Brunson was the out-and-out superstar of the Knicks, players like Josh Hart also played a crucial role in the championship run.
As the Knicks ended a 53-year NBA Championship drought, it's obvious that players are still in celebration mode. But it's time for them to lock back in.
Right now, the NBA is in the middle of the offseason. Of course, this is a time when players tend to enjoy themselves. Be it by going on vacation or drinking wine at home.

Finding a good dividend stock to buy at any given time usually isn't too tough. Finding one you can buy and hold forever, however, is a different story. The matter of longevity comes into play. You want to be sure the underlying company has the longevity required to not only continue paying its dividend, but to reliably raise its dividend payments at least in step with inflation. That's a taller order.
Nevertheless, these dividend names are out there. Here's a closer look at three of them.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Given the company's struggle since the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic undermined a fantastic but short-lived franchise, some investors might be surprised that drugmaker Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) earned a spot on this list. But it has, particularly since newcomers will be plugging into a healthy forward-looking dividend yield of 6.9%.
Although it'll be a while until investors can clearly see it, this pharmaceutical giant is developing multiple new profit centers. It acquired Seagen in 2023, for instance, largely for its oncology pipeline. This pipeline includes cancer-fighting Padcev, which was recently approved as a treatment for muscle-invasive bladder cancer when used in conjunction with Merck's Keytruda.

Sunday the fifth of July, 2026 will forever be a poignant date for Moroccan football, as MAS Fes ended an agonising 41-year wait for domestic glory. With their 2-0 win over Olympique Dcheira on the final day, the Yellow Tigers finally got their hands on a fifth league **** le, and excitedly re-announced themselves amongst the Maghrebi sporting establishment.
Now, while regaining their seat at the Moroccan big clubs’ table was a formidable reflection of team spirit, one man in particular stood above the rest, and that was striker Soufiane Benjdida.
The poised 24-year-old’s chart-topping 20 league goals played a crucial role in powering Pablo Franco’s team to the league summit. However, as somewhat surprised followers of Belgian football will tell you, this confident hitman is far beyond the shadow of a player they witnessed in the lowlands.
Soufiane Benjdida began his football career with steady progression at the Mohammed VI Football Academy. He then moved on through the youth ranks of both Fath US and FAR in the Moroccan capital Rabat, before being picked up by giants Raja Casablanca from his home city.
Here, two years were enough to see his tenacious style turn heads in Europe. Under former Belgian national team boss Marc Wilmots, Benjdida registered eight goals in 17 games in the 2021-22 Botola Pro campaign as the Green Eagles finished second to bitter rivals Wydad.

In a game that first crawled due to a deluge of walks (but few runs) and then saw dueling late-inning paroxysms in each team’s final time at the plate, the Braves eventually emerged victorious. But boy, was it a winding path to get there.
At the beginning of this contest, things seemed like they were going to drag on forever with little to show for it. After a one-walk, no other action first from Martin Perez, the Braves took aim at Michael King, who dominated them a few weeks ago in San Diego, and…
…he did not dominate this time. In fact, King walked the first three batters he faced, grimacing and looking generally uncomfy all the while. A groundout from Michael Harris II plated a run, but both Austin Riley and Mike Yastrzemski kind of lost the plot and went down looking. Yastrzemski, in particular, looked at five straight pitches to end the inning… the Braves’ track record with guys skimping on rehab **** ignments this year is looking abysmal.
Staked to a small lead, Perez did his normal thing — it just happened to work out this time. He walked two in the second, but then recovered with two punchouts. The Braves got a couple of singles against a resurgent-ish King in the bottom of the inning, but Ozzie Albies struck out on a changeup that was literally in the other batter’s box. There was another walk from Perez, this time of the leadoff variety, in the third, but nothing else. King followed suit, but again, nothing doing from the bats. Perez had a quicker fourth, three up and three down thanks to a double play. Meanwhile, the Braves kinda-sorta tried to rally against King with a leadoff double from Mauricio Dubon and an infield single by Brewer Hicklen, but two weak flyouts kept it a 1-0 game.
Some combination of “Perez didn’t have a rehab **** ignment and had thrown 75 pitches” and “Perez had a 3/4 K/BB ratio in four innings” ultimately convinced the Braves to go to the bullpen for the fifth. Dylan Dodd came in and was delicious, throwing an 11-pitch frame with two strikeouts and a first-pitch groundout. King stayed in, and worked around a two-out single. Didier Fuentes followed Dodd and had to work a little harder (18 pitches), but had his two strikeouts, one groundout inning all the same. King’s night finished with a flourish, a nine-pitch frame that featured a strikeout of Hicklen. He rebounded and once again mystified the Braves despite the rocky start, with a 7/4 K/BB ratio — a 7/1 K/BB ratio after the first three batters.

McDonald's trades 7% below **** yst targets despite 25+ years of dividend growth, while P&G just extended its streak to 70 consecutive annual increases.
Visa raised its quarterly dividend 14% in 2025, backed by 14.6% revenue growth and $3.8 billion in single-quarter share repurchases.
Act now: the **** yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Visa didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Dividend growers build generational wealth. That is the entire premise behind a "buy and hold forever" portfolio: Own companies whose competitive moats let them pay you more every single year, regardless of what the macro backdrop looks like. In July 2026, three names still fit that description as cleanly as they did a decade ago, though each is trading through very different setups right now.
Here is the case for three stocks as long-duration dividend compounders, along with the risk each carries into the second half of 2026.

Kelly Osbourne paid tribute to her father Ozzy on the one-year anniversary of his death.
In a heartfelt letter posted to Instagram, she said, "One year ago today, the world changed forever," alongside a photo of the singer from the early days of his career.
"Today I sit beside you in a way I never thought would be possible. I know you are still with me. I feel you in the quiet, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks, is [sic] the smell of your cologne and in every moment that the love outweighs the grief. You are all around me."
Kelly went on to admit life without her father has been "the hardest thing I have ever had to endure.
"You are my everything. My protector. My greatest teacher. My best friend. The apple of my eye. My reason," she said.

Acquiring James, even at his age, is a move that extends beyond the court. The team that lands him will forever be ******* ociated with an NBA legend, will garner league-wide interest for a potential retirement tour in 2026-27, and will undoubtedly have its eyes on ******* le contention with his elite talents. While a Cavaliers reunion or a star team-up with Stephen Curry in Golden State appear to be the top destinations for James, he's also known to keep his future plans quiet until the time is right.
Once again, all eyes are on James' free-agency decision. What new star duo will he create in the twilight of his career?
