Celtic are hopeful of signing Landon Emenalo on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea. The 18-year-old was expected to join Martin O'Neill's side as they look to provide left-back cover for Kieran Tierney.
Emenalo, who was included in Xabi Alonso's pre-season camp, has been up to Lennoxtown but a deal was delayed due to an injury. Now, Sky Sports' Anthony Joseph has revealed that parties are hopeful of concluding a deal tonight.
Celtic are expected to add Chelsea striker Shim Mheuka, who has completed a medical in London. The England U19 International has travelled to Glasgow and is expected to complete a loan switch.
The Hoops have signed Parma midfielder Oliver Sorensen on loan, with an option to buy, while Preston are close to signing Johnny Kenny in a deal worth £3m.

Celtic have reportedly been made aware of the availability of Chelsea attacking midfielder Kendry Páez. The Ecuadorean International is expected to depart Stamford Bridge this summer to continue his development.
Journalist Alan Nixon has been picked up stating that Celtic are one of a few clubs that have been alerted to the player's availability.
Páez emerged as a future star at Independiente del Valle, making 70 senior appearances before joining Chelsea for €10m in 2025. Since then, he has completed loan spells at Strasbourg and River Plate. The Ecuador international made one appearance at the recent FIFA World Cup in North America and Mexico.
It would be interesting to see this one play out, especially given the links to Landon Emenalo. The fullback was said to have been to Lennoxtown and completed a medical before picking up an injury. The trail has gone cold on the fullback but it appears to have been a move that was some way down the line on both the part of Celtic and Chelsea.
James Bell-Walker has close ties with Chelsea and it may be that his new role at Celtic has allowed for a new connection to open up between the London side and the Scottish Champions.

Chelsea are set to finalise an agreement with Rayo Vallecano over the signing of Pep Chavarria following a lengthy negotiation, according to The Athletic.
The Blues have made steady progress in talks with their Spanish counterparts and the deal is now in the final stages. The Spanish defender has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
Chelsea are also prepared to schedule a medical for the 28-year-old once the final details are settled.
The West Londoners have been looking to replace Marc Cucurella since the Spaniard joined Real Madrid in a £51.7 million deal earlier this summer.
In his absence, Chelsea had Jorrel Hato as their only recognised senior left-back, although academy prospect Landon Emenalo has featured in the position during pre-season.
