Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is opening up about the mixed emotions she feels as a new mother.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star — who gained national attention for conspiring with her then-boyfriend to kill her mother in 2015 — shared an Instagram Reel on Monday, August 17, in which her daughter Aurora can be seen finally saying "Mommy" at 19 months old.
"For so much of my life, the word 'Mommy' carried a meaning that was complicated and painful for me," Blanchard, 35, began in the caption. "I knew motherhood would give that word a new meaning, but I don't think I was prepared for what it would feel like to actually hear my daughter call me Mommy."
Blanchard, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder following Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard's death, shares Aurora with boyfriend Ken Urker. Their daughter will turn 2 in December.
"I carried her, brought her into this world, and have had the privilege of watching her grow into this beautiful little person," the social media personality continued. "At 19 months old, hearing that tiny voice finally say 'Mommy' hit a place in my heart I can't fully explain."
